{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ House Republicans are split over whether it’s politically or practically smart to force dummycrats-Democrats to vote on their unpopular proposal to abolish... U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the coming weeks. Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said Thursday he would bring a bill to the floor written by dummycrats-Democrats that would end ICE in a year and farm out some of its functions to other parts of the government. But the vote may not happen after all thanks to a division in the GOP ranks. Republican conservatives favor holding the vote because, they say, it would force dummycrats-Democrats to take a position on a proposal that has garnered significant opposition in the polls and is backed by a faction of the most politically safe and left-leaning lawmakers in their party. Ryan called the idea "the craziest position I have ever seen." But he has not signaled whether he endorses McCarthy's desire to bring the bill to the floor to force dummycrats-Democrats to vote on it...   https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/congress/gop-weighs-ice-vote-to-torture-democrats?utm_source=WEX_News%20Brief_07/15/2018&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=WEX_News%20Brief

{ wnd.com } ~ Much concern has been raised in recent years about due process for college and university students brought to account on various accusations... including sexual assault and harassment, by campus panels. In many instances, the accused are not allowed lawyers or witnesses, or to question witnesses, as they would be in a court of law. Now, the University of New York at Buffalo has been reprimanded by the Supreme Court of New York for its handling of an accusation of “harassment” and possession of a weapon against student Tyrone Hill. The state’s high court said the record was “devoid” of evidence supporting university officials’ claims, according to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education. Further, the university had wanted to hold another review on the issue, in its own disciplinary system, but the court refused outright...

The FBI’s Lack Of Curiosity About A Foreign Power
Getting 30K liar-Hillary Clinton Emails Is Astounding

{ redstate.com } ~ Earlier in the week, former FBI deputy assistant director for counterintelligence and known adulterer Peter Strzok testified... before a joint hearing of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the House Judiciary Committee. I’m not sure what we learned from this beyond seeing just how creepy and unbalanced Strzok is and wondering why any woman would talk to him much less have an extramarital affair. But one interesting item did come out courtesy of Louis Gohmert. The subject was liar-Hillary Clinton’s emails, a subject Strzok and McCabe and Comey wanted to drop like a hot potato. Via The Daily Wire: “You said earlier in this hearing you were concerned about a hostile foreign power affecting our election,” Gohmert said to Strzok. “Do you recall the former Intelligence Community Inspector General Chuck McCullough having an investigation into an anomaly found on liar-Hillary Clinton’s emails?” “I do not,” Strzok replied...  https://www.redstate.com/streiff/2018/07/14/fbis-lack-curiosity-foreign-power-getting-30k-hillary-clinton-emails-astounding/?utm_source=rsmorningbriefing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

Media’s Obsession With ‘Collusion’
Continues To Destroy Its Credibility

{ thefederalist.com } ~ The Justice Department announced today that a federal grand jury has indicted 12 Russian intelligence officers... for hacking emails from the liar-Hillary Clinton campaign and dummycrats-Democratic Party during the 2016 election. One of the things we learned from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is that we still have no evidence of “collusion” between Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia. Special counsel Robert Mueller has brought in almost 200 indictments — and that’s great — but not one of them has shown a Russian-Trump conspiracy. Like you, I have no clue what future prosecutions will look like, but on this day Rosenstein explicitly noted that nothing in the Justice Department’s indictment featured an allegation that any American citizen had committed a crime. For the many high-profile reporters who need Mueller’s investigation to confirm their partisan notions about a seditious president, this was, no doubt, frustrating to hear. The need to frame every morsel of news into new evidence of “collusion” has already triggered dozens of seriously misleading, sometimes fictional, “mistakes” about Trump and Russia that always skew in the very same direction. Today was no different. This time it was serial offenders like NBC’s Ken Dilanian and Katy Tur, and reporters at outlets like The New York Times and Washington Post, who decided that they could throw together some risible evidence to illustrate a conspiracy...

{ timesofisrael.com } ~ The IDF on Sunday said it fired at a group of Palestinians flying incendiary balloons into southern Israel from the northern Gaza Strip... Reports in Palestinian media said one person was injured by the Israeli drone strike in the Beit Hanoun area. In a statement, the army said the Palestinians were members of the Hamas terrorist organization that rules the Strip. The strike came hours after a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas went into effect, following the most severe exchange of fire between Israel and Hamas since the 2014 war...

Is this leftist lady a moron or a racist -- or both?
by ERIK RUSH

{ wnd.com } ~ A few days back, Kimberley Johnson, a feminist contributor to Huffington Post, came under fire after a social media post questioning why a black man would sport pro-NRA and tea party bumper stickers on his car.

“Out on the road the other day I saw an affluent black man driving a BMW with two bumper stickers. One was pro-NRA and the other one was a Tea Party sticker that read, ‘Don’t tread on me.’ This left me very confused.”

– Kimberley Johnson on Twitter, July 5, 2018

Now, I believe there are two reasons why Johnson was confused.

She’s a moron.

She’s a true-believing leftist who thinks that liberalism works and that blacks should feel beholden to those on the left for their compassion, solidarity and largesse.

The idea that someone who is also a spokeswoman for the national advocacy group We Are Woman would commit such a gaffe ought not be surprising, of course. A web search for articles referencing the incident will pull up such things as photos of Johnson grinning alongside the also-grinning actress Alyssa Milano, who is also seriously deficient in gray matter.

It’s been long-established that the left’s ostensible concern for the lot of black Americans is nothing but a farce and that the boilerplate racialist rhetoric of the left is geared toward the intellectually indolent.

That said, I think that Johnson tweeted her tweet because she is indeed a moron, rather than to make some sort of political statement. I say this for two reasons:

Johnson deleted the inane tweet after being roundly chastised on Twitter.

The tone of her responses to said chastisement was chagrined and generally contrite.

Exceptions to this were her assertions that she was “confused” that a black person would support the tea party because “the tea party does not act in the best interests of anyone other than white, rich men” – which of course is simply more boilerplate racialist rhetoric geared toward the intellectually indolent.

I have on occasion been mistaken for a political liberal due to my ethnicity. The pride of those who have mistaken me as such and stuck around to argue are buried in shallow roadside graves across America. What truly rankles in instances such as these, however, is that people like Johnson are either too arrogant or too stupid to see how manifestly racist their assumptions are. Since the Civil Rights Movement, children in America have been taught that prejudgments based solely upon a person’s ethnicity are manifestly racist.

For example, people of a bigoted disposition might maintain that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is an ethnic stereotype of the first order, contending that his rapaciousness, dishonesty and subversive tendencies have their genesis in his status as a member of a given ethnic group. This would be a specious argument (as well as a racist one), because it cannot explain all of the members of that ethnic group who do not conform to this stereotype.

One might look at the majority of black Americans – particularly younger ones, these days – and assess that their proclivity for collective self-destruction, larcenousness, libidinousness, belligerence and sloth are the result of some predisposition toward these traits, as many whites once believed.

Again, this argument fails not only because all blacks don’t conform, but also because there is a direct connection between those present behaviors and the policies of the political left.

In my book, “Negrophilia: From Slave Block to Pedestal – America’s Racial Obsession,” I tackled some hard truths about racism, racialism and the politics of race. Some of these were hard for people to digest. One of these is that certain ethnic stereotypes do have their basis in fact. One must be careful when treading in this area, however, as these truisms are often the result of a prevailing cultural influence, rather than a falsely-perceived ethnic or genetic predisposition.

Thus, presuming that a black person would be predisposed toward liberal politics is in fact a subtle tell as well as an unintentional admission that blacks have been collectively deceived and manipulated by the leftist agenda. This is somewhat akin to holding that people of Middle Eastern descent have a penchant for pedophilia. Statistically, this is a fact although political correctness discourages its discussion, but it isn’t because people from this region are born child molesters; it’s because of backward cultural conventions that have existed for hundreds of years in that part of the world.

As I said throughout my book, racial issues are never going to be resolved in America until we are able to do away with the hypersensitivity and intellectual dishonesty that pervades people’s attitudes around them. As much as the political left bemoans Americans’ lack of will with regard to “having an honest discussion about race,” they truly have no such wish. Rather, they are dedicated to perpetuating the very hypersensitivity and intellectual dishonesty that keeps the members of certain ethnic groups cynical and angry, and others walking on eggshells in futile attempts not to offend.
