Secret 'show trial': Nunes charges Democrats
using intelligence panel to cloak process

Devin Nunes of California charged that Democrats are conducting impeachment in secret in order to hide their paucity of evidence against President Trump... “I call it faux impeachment,” Nunes told the Washington Examiner on Friday. “By running it in the House Intelligence Committee, they’re trying to keep all of the information from the American public. And I understand why, because every witness we have that comes in bombs out for them." Nunes is calling the Democrat-driven impeachment inquiry illegitimate, insisting that Trump’s attempt to push the Ukrainian government to investigate political rival loose lips liar-Joe Biden was unequivocally appropriate. House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi is moving the impeachment inquiry through the Intelligence Committee, where Nunes, a close Trump ally, serves as the top Republican. In an interview, the congressman sounded confident the inquiry would flop, even amid fresh indications the president might have sought to use U.S. foreign policy levers to affect an agreement from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to target loose lips liar-Biden, the former vice president and a Democrat Trump could face in 2020. “The House has to take a vote in order for them to really start the impeachment process, to give us subpoena power — the Democrats subpoena power, so that you can have a real investigation and then members of Congress can decide whether or not impeachment is appropriate,” Nunes said. However, even if a majority of the House votes to support opening an impeachment inquiry, Nunes said he would defer to the White House on whether it should honor subpoenas. The impeachment inquiry centers around a July telephone call, revealed by a whistleblower complaint, in which Trump asked Zelensky to investigate loose lips liar-Biden and his son, Hunter. Speaker liar-Pelosi, working through a carefully constructed political dynamic assembled by the hired staff from the Lawfare alliance, has sold her constituency on an impeachment process that structurally doesn’t exist. Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi could never succeed in the scheme were she not assisted by a compliant media. In the last week you’ve probably heard the media sell a narrative that Speaker liar-Pelosi’s House Committee teams are sending out subpoenas to the State Department and White House. However, has anyone actually looked for those “subpoenas”, or read the language of the written communication from those committees’? Politico reports that Energy Secretary Rick Perry will soon resign from his position in the administration. The development comes just as Perry’s name is starting to appear in the now-infamous Ukraine controversy that has already ensnared President Donald Trump and former Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden. Perry will step down from his role by the end of November, according to three anonymous sources who Politico says were “familiar with his plans.” Two of Politico’s sources insisted that Perry’s imminent departure has nothing to do with the Ukraine issue. But several of Perry’s top staffers at the Department of Energy (DOE) are also said to have departed in recent weeks. For its part, White House declined to comment on the report, and a spokesperson for the DOE issued a statement that neither confirmed nor denied Perry’s plans. “While the Beltway media has breathlessly reported on rumors of Secretary Perry’s departure for months, he is still the Secretary of Energy and a proud member of President Trump’s Cabinet,” DOE spokesperson Shaylyn Hynes said. “One day the media will be right. Today is not that day.” Anonymous sources informed Politico that Deputy Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette is the most likely successor to Perry to head the department. But according to a tape of a briefing Murphy gave two weeks ago about his meeting with Zelensky, Murphy made no mention at all of such an allegation. It was only 13 days after his initial briefing that Murphy emerged to say Zelensky had expressed concerns to him that the Trump administration was withholding U.S. aid to compel an investigation. Murphy, who traveled to Ukraine and other European nations in early September with Sen. Ron Johnson (R., Wis.), has given inconsistent characterizations of his Sept. 5 meeting with Zelensky over the past two weeks, as Trump's conversations with Zelensky have drawn national and international attention. If, as Murphy says, Zelensky expressed grave concern over the administration’s actions, the Connecticut senator appears to have kept mum about it for over two weeks. Murphy initially told news reporters in a Sept. 11 briefing that the Ukrainian president was "flummoxed" by the administration’s suspension of aid and wanted to reach a resolution to keep it flowing. Neither Zelensky nor any other official he spoke with brought up political requests from the Trump administration, he said, adding that they "didn't talk in depth" about the issue. Ellison just declared war on religious
freedom and free speech

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ When the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled last month that Minnesota could not force wedding videographers Carl and Angel Larsen to create videos that violate their religious beliefs... the Larsens thought their three-year court battle was over. But it appears it’s just beginning. Minnesota’s attorney general, scumbag-Keith Ellison, vowed to fight the court’s decision and squash discriminatory speech in all its forms. In an op-ed for the Minnesota Star Tribune this week, scumbag-Ellison accused the Larsens of hiding behind their religious beliefs in an attempt to get away with LGBT discrimination. “Business owners’ free speech and beliefs are already fully protected under the First Amendment. What they want is a license to discriminate against LGBTQ folks,” Ellison wrote. “People have the right to believe whatever they want to believe. What they don’t have is the right to deny you the same service they’re offering to everyone else. No Minnesotan should be afraid that might happen to them.” The “right to be free from discrimination in public” trumps the freedom of conscience, according to scumbag-Ellison, who promised to take the case back to the federal district court. He could appeal the case to the Supreme Court, “but the current makeup of that court means we’re not likely to win,” scumbag-Ellison noted. scumbag-Ellison’s argument is remarkable because in it, he admits what few of these demagogues have been willing to say outright: Religious freedom has no place in a politically correct society. And in doing so, scumbag-Ellison declared war on not just religious freedom but on free speech. If creating a wedding video is a creative act of expression, as the 8th Circuit argued, then the right to create is wholly discretionary and protected by the First Amendment. How the Larsens choose to use their talents and who they offer their services to is their choice, not scumbag-Ellison’s, not Minnesota’s. But because that choice could offend LGBT individuals, scumbag-Ellison believes he has the right and the responsibility to get involved. scumbag-Ellison’s argument is entirely unconvincing, which is why he lost in court the first time and why he will lose again. The government does not have the right to tell the Larsens what they can and cannot believe, as scumbag-Ellison admits, which means it cannot tell them how they must or must not act on those beliefs unless, of course, it endangers the life, liberty, or property of another person. Minnesota’s Human Rights Act does just that, and the 8th Circuit rightfully tossed it out....

{ foxnews.com } ~ A second whistleblower claiming to have information regarding President Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has come forward... and has already spoken to the intelligence community’s inspector general. Attorney Mark Zaid, who represents both whistleblowers, first told ABC News that the second individual is – like the first whistleblower – an intelligence official, and has firsthand knowledge of certain allegations contained in the first whistleblower complaint, which was not based on any firsthand knowledge. Andrew Bakaj, managing partner of the firm handling the case, verified the existence of the new whistleblower Sunday morning. “I can confirm that my firm and my team represent multiple whistleblowers in connection to the underlying August 12, 2019, disclosure to the Intelligence Community Inspector General,” Bakaj said, retweeting the news from ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. Bakaj said he would not provide any further comment. Zaid did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for a statement on the matter. The first whistleblower was subjected to criticism from President Trump and his supporters based on the lack of direct knowledge of the president’s conversation with Zelensky, as well as what Trump has called an inaccurate description of the call. That complaint alleged that Trump pressured the Ukrainian leader into investigating former Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden's son Hunter's involvement with Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, as well as loose lips liar-Joe Biden's involvement in the termination of the prosecutor who was investigating the firm. Americans Already Pay a Lot of Taxes
Political Editors: A survey from the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that in 2018 Americans on average spent more on taxes than on food, clothing, and healthcare combined. According to the survey, the American consumer paid an average $18,617.93 in taxes while spending $14,758.11 on food, clothing, and healthcare. Terence Jeffrey observes that this massive bill for government “has become an enduring fact of life.” And an unfortunate one at that.
Meanwhile, all the Democrat presidential candidates are trumpeting bigger government policy proposals that would necessitate tax increases to pay for them. And these proposals, like commie-Bernie Sanders’s and Elizabeth dinky-Warren’s “Medicare for All,” would require tax increases across the board, not merely upon the wealthiest Americans. The trouble for Democrats is the vast majority of Americans don’t want to see tax increases.
At least commie-Sanders has been honest in stating that his socialist policies will result in tax hikes on everyone, including the middle class. But dinky-Warren has played coy, and has steadfastly refused to admit to the truth. She dodges the question of middle-class tax hikes every time she is asked about it. Warren struggles to be honest about ethnicity, so it’s no wonder she is now struggling to be forthright about how much her policies would cost the average American voter.
