House Releases Transcripts from
Jennifer Williams and Tim Morrison Depositions
by sundance
{ theconservativetreehouse.com } ~ House Democrats on Saturday released the transcripts of closed-door testimony from Jennifer Williams and Tim Morrison. The first transcript is from career foreign service officer and Vice President Pence staffer Jennifer Williams... The House did not need to subpoena Williams who was willing to deliver testimony to the impeachment committee with support from the Vice-President. Ms. Williams was among the officials actually on the July 25th call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. She is also one of the only witnesses who has testified with firsthand knowledge of the exchange. Interestingly Ms. Williams, a senior staffer for Vice-President Pence, delivered testimony that later had to be modified. Keeping in mind that Jennifer Williams was actually on the call with Trump and Zelensky, it is curious that Ms. Williams originally testified that President Trump brought up the company Burisma during the call… only later having to modify her testimony to state that it was Zelensky who brought up the company. A curious mistake all things considered. Ms. Williams delivered her testimony on November 7th. Ms. Williams corrected her testimony on November 11th. Ms. Williams is the Senior Advisor to Vice-President Pence...Here’s the transcript:

Trump Gets Win For U.S. Farmers I
n Trade War With China
By  Ryan Saavedra
{ dailywire.com } ~ President Donald Trump collected a win in the ongoing trade war with China on Thursday as the communist nation announced that it was lifting a five-year ban on U.S. poultry effective immediately... “The decision out of Beijing is effective immediately and the announcement sent shares of major U.S. chicken processers, Sanderson Farms, Tyson Foods and Pilgrim’s Pride to new highs for the year Thursday,” The Associated Press reported. “The Chinese market looks especially promising for U.S. poultry producers because an outbreak of African swine fever has devastated a competing protein in China: pork. ”The move comes after the U.S. and China made a partial trade deal in October in which China committed to purchasing $40-50 billion of American agricultural products every year which is a massive increase as “American farm exports to China peaked at around $25.5 billion in 2016,” The New York Times reported  last month. “From China’s perspective, the biggest win is a promise by Mr. Trump to cancel an Oct. 15 tariff increase, when taxes on $250 billion of Chinese goods were set to rise to 30 percent from 25 percent.” The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) said in a statement: China has banned all U.S. poultry since January 2015 due to an avian influenza outbreak in December 2014, even though the United States has been free of this disease since August 2017. The United States exported over $500 million worth of poultry products to China in 2013. The United States is the world’s second largest poultry exporter, with global exports of poultry meat and products of $4.3 billion last year. “The United States welcomes China’s decision to finally lift its unwarranted ban on U.S. poultry and poultry products. This is great news for both America’s farmers and China’s consumers,” said United States Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer...  https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-gets-win-for-u-s-farmers-in-trade-war-with-china
Trump and Attorney General Barr had an
'animated' talk, reportedly about the
Horowitz report, in the Oval Office
by Peter Weber
{ theweek.com } ~ President Trump's departure for a political rally in Louisiana was delayed by about 45 minutes on Thursday evening because he was having an "animated" conversation with Attorney General William Barr in the Oval Office... according to the White House press corps, which could view but not hear the conversation. Also in the Oval Office were White House Counsel Pat Cippollone and White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham. When asked about the meeting on Fox News, White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said he "sadly" couldn't say what Trump and Barr discussed, but he told Martha MacCallum "that all the gentlemen had Diet Cokes in the room — that's very serious." When MacCallum asked if they were discussing Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz's imminent report on the origins of the FBI's investigation of Russia and Trump's campaign, Gidley insisted Trump is "trying to stay out of all things that Attorney General Barr is doing as it relates to investigating the investigators."But the Horowitz report did come up in their conversation, two sources told CNN. Barr got a draft of the report last month, and Lawfare's Susan Hennessey wryly suggested that the nominally independent attorney general discussing the nominally independent DOJ inspector general's nominally apolitical report with Trump may not be totally above-board. Witnesses have been given two weeks to review the parts of the report they feature in before it is released publicly. They have to sign nondisclosure agreements and can't request revisions in writing, The Washington Post reported Thursday, raising concerns about the report's integrity. But Horowitz's office told the Post late Thursday night that witnesses can submit written feedback "consistent with rules to protect classified information."   https://theweek.com/speedreads/878647/trump-attorney-general-barr-animated-talk-reportedly-about-horowitz-report-oval-office

liar-Nancy Pelosi confessed one truth about impeachment that had all hell breaking loose
by patriotpulse.net ~ The Democrats’ impeachment witch hunt began Wednesday with the first of their show trial public hearings... Everyone in Washington, D.C. is on edge as to how events will play out. And now liar-Nancy Pelosi confessed one truth about impeachment that had all hell breaking loose. Pundits and elected officials in Washington, D.C. are taking the Democrats passing articles of impeachment out of the House of Representatives as a given. Democrats own the majority and they should be able to muster up 218 votes. The conventional wisdom also holds that there is no chance the Senate will vote to convict the President. But in an interview on Univision, House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi claimed the outcome in a Senate trial was still up in the air. During a “Noticias Telemundo” exclusive released on Tuesday, House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that “We don’t know” that the Senate won’t move on impeaching and removing President Trump and that the Senate failing to act shouldn’t deter the House from acting. Anchor José Díaz-Balart said, “The Senate is controlled by Republicans. So, regardless of what happens in the House, the Senate will probably not go forward with anything on impeachment.” liar-Pelosi responded, “We don’t know that.” She added, “They haven’t seen all of the facts yet. But because they’re not willing to uphold their oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution, should not be in any way a deterrent to us to uphold our oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” liar-Nancy Pelosi is known as a shrewd counter of votes. Does she know something no one else knows? Or is she merely putting on a brave face so as not to depress Democrat enthusiasm for the impeachment witch hunt by admitting this effort is doomed from the start.   https://patriotpulse.net/nancy-pelosi-confessed-one-truth-about-impeachment-that-had-all-hell-breaking-loose/
After Rep. Elise Stefanik Highlights
Ambassador Yovanovitch False
Statement – Stefanik Becomes a Target
by sundance
{ theconservativetreehouse.com } ~ On March 20th, 2017, New York Representative Elise Stefanik first made a name for herself when she questioned FBI Director scumbag-James Comey about why he purposefully did not inform congressional oversight, Gang-of-Eight... about the FBI investigation of candidate Donald Trump in 2016.  Ms. Stefanik caught scumbag-Comey off-guard and his only response, albeit stuttered, was: “because of the sensitivity of the matter?” Fast forward to November 15th, 2019, yesterday, and Rep. Stefanik again showed her acumen when she asked Ambassador Yovanovitch to reconcile her opening statement about not ever discussing Hunter Biden or Burisma against evidence Ms. Yovanovitch previously admitting to an extensive briefing session specifically about Hunter Biden and Burisma. Once again, Stefanik caught a political operative in their network of lies. Having watched events closely it is obvious Elise Stefanik is a smart young representative with serious skills to see through the chaff, countermeasures and false narratives advanced by political left. Hence, as if on cue, the entire apparatus of the political left began attacking their #1 new enemy. Today the unholy alliance of corrupt political operatives and the allied media went on the attack...

Barr Drive Left Even Crazier
By SCOTT JOHNSON
{ powerlineblog.com } ~ Attorney General Barr delivered the 19th Annual Barbara K. Olson Memorial Lecture at the Federalist Society’s 2019 National Lawyers Convention in Washington on Friday... I have omitted emphases, corrected a few typographical errors, and posted the full text below. I have also posted video of the speech below the text. The speech is long — 6,000 words long. One can measure the excellence of the speech by the apoplexy it has induced among the lunatic left. They are intoxicated with impeachment mania. Insofar as Barr articulates a true understanding of “the Resistance” and a profound critique of the administrative state, Barr must be destroyed. I read the speech to reflect the true thoughts of a scholar and experience practitioner at the highest levels of government who feels free — and feels compelled — to speak his mind. Here it is: Good Evening. Thank you all for being here. And thank you to Gene Meyer for your kind introduction. It is an honor to be here this evening delivering the 19th Annual Barbara K. Olson Memorial Lecture. I had the privilege of knowing Barbara and had deep affection for her. I miss her brilliance and ebullient spirit. It is a privilege for me to participate in this series, which honors her. The theme for this year’s Annual Convention is “Originalism,” which is a fitting choice — though, dare I say, a somewhat “unoriginal” one for the Federalist Society. I say that because the Federalist Society has played an historic role in taking originalism “mainstream.” While other organizations have contributed to the cause, the Federalist Society has been in the vanguard. A watershed for the cause was the decision of the American people to send Ronald Reagan to the White House, accompanied by his close advisor Ed Meese and a cadre of others who were firmly committed to an originalist approach to the law. I was honored to work with Ed in the Reagan White House and be there several weeks ago when President Trump presented him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. As the President aptly noted, over the course of his career, Ed Meese has been among the Nation’s “most eloquent champions for following the Constitution as written.”...  https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2019/11/barr-drives-left-even-more-nuts.php?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+powerlineblog%2Flivefeed+%28Power+Line%29

Trump Strengthens Relations With Turkey
Thomas Gallatin:  In a gesture that lawmakers from both sides of the political aisle argued against, President Donald Trump followed through on his invitation and met with Turkish President Recep Erdogan at the White House on Wednesday. Last Friday, lawmakers sent a letter to Trump stating, “President Erdogan’s decision to invade northern Syria on October 9 has had disastrous consequences for U.S. national security, has led to deep divisions in the NATO alliance, and caused a humanitarian crisis on the ground. Given this situation, we believe that now is a particularly inappropriate time for President Erdogan to visit the United States, and we urge you to rescind this invitation.”

Trump’s controversial decision to pull a small number of U.S. troops out of northern Syria, allowing for Turkish forces to move in against Kurdish forces (U.S. allies) in the region, brought condemnation from both Democrats and Republicans. A temporary ceasefire ending the bloodshed was agreed to following Vice President Mike Pence’s meeting with Turkish leadership — a meeting that also resulted in lifting the economic sanctions Trump had imposed. All in all, Trump’s poor explanation for his complicated decision opened him up for plenty of legitimate criticism.

That said, Trump clearly has a more developed strategy behind what publicly appeared to many as little more than a sudden decision aimed at fulfilling a campaign promise of getting our troops out of the Middle East. That fact is demonstrated by the successful U.S. Special Forces mission to take out ISIS founder and leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi — a mission that required the use of Turkish airspace.

Furthermore, Trump correctly realizes that the greatest threat to our national security is a nuclear-capable Iran, and U.S. bases in Turkey are essential to preventing this from occurring. This reality has been made all the more clear with Iran’s recent announcement that it is ramping up efforts to enrich uranium in defiance of the nuclear deal it never followed in the first place. So, now is not the time to heighten tensions with our NATO ally.

Trump is clearly a big believer in “Bucks over Bombs.” He sees dollar diplomacy as the best way to convince Erdogan that it’s in his best interests to work with the U.S. This explains Trump’s comments following the White House meeting: “Frankly, we’re going to be expanding our trade relationship very significantly.” Using the promise of mutual economic opportunity, Trump hopes to develop a better relationship with Erdogan in order to counter Russian efforts to draw Turkey away from NATO and the U.S.

On a final note, Trump was also able to secure a promise from Erdogan to stop persecuting minority religious groups, especially Christians. “We’ll see that their sanctuaries are getting revived and their churches will be reconstructed so that they can go back and start praying again,” Erdogan declared. But as the saying goes, talk is cheap, especially with a dictator like Erdogan. We’ll have to wait and see if he actually follows through.   ~The Patriot Post
