Reparations: Democrats Scam
and Insult Blacks Again

americanthinker.com } ~ A congressional hearing was held on a bill to study reparations for blacks as payback for slavery. Reparations is simply another worm Democrat presidential candidates will put on the hook of their fishing rods to catch black votes... I am a black man who is proud, grateful, and understands how blessed I am to be born an American. My response to the Democrats' reparations scam is, “Please stop!”. Please stop telling black Americans that we are crippled, inferior and are helpless children who can only succeed via government handouts, lowered standards and special concessions. Just stop it! The Civil War effectively ended slavery in 1863. After eight years of Americans making a black man the leader of the free world, Democrats are absurdly claiming blacks are suffering the negative repercussions of slavery and deserve a check. These people Democrats are evil, divisive, race-baiting and race-exploiting con artists. In Maryland in the early 1950s, my late dad was among a handful of blacks who broke the color barrier to become Baltimore City firefighters. Despite humiliating racism within the fire department, Dad won “Firefighter of the Year” two times. Dad didn't desire reparations or insulting lowered standards. All Dad and his fellow young black trailblazers desired was an opportunity to compete. In the 1980s, I was promoted to supervisor of the art department at WJZ-TV, ABC affiliate TV station in Baltimore. Democratic friends attempted to rob me of the pride and dignity of my achievement. They demeaned my promotion, claiming it was due to affirmative action. I was insulted. My promotion was the result of being the most qualified. No brag. Just facts. But this is what Democrats relentlessly do to blacks; always sending us the subliminal message that we don't quite measure up. For example: When Democrats say requiring a photo ID to vote disenfranchises black voters, Democrats are really saying we are stupid, inferior to other Americans. Black Americans should be outraged. Metaphorically, Democrats want to keep blacks barefoot and pregnant. Democrats despise and seek to destroy self-reliant, self-motivated, and independent blacks. I am referring to extraordinarily successful blacks like Herman Cain, Justice Clarence Thomas, and Dr. Ben Carson to name a few. Because these blacks took the traditional road of education, hard work, and making right choices to achieve success, they expose the Democrat and fake news media lie that blacks can only succeed in racist America via lowered standards and government programs. Democrats and fake news media celebrates multimillionaire blacks like Danny Glover, nOprah Winfrey, Spike Lee, Colin Kaepernick, Samuel L.Jackson and others who sell blacks the lie that America is a hellhole of racism against them... https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2019/06/reparations_democrats_scam_and_insult_blacks_again_.html

CNN Panel Drags scumbag liar-Nadler and
Democrats for ‘Offensive’ and ‘Inappropriate’ Behavior During Hicks Hearing

ijr.com } ~ A CNN panel spared House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. scumbag liar-Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) and other Democrats on the committee no mercy for their conduct... during Thursday’s closed-door Hope Hicks hearing. As IJR Red reported, scumbag liar-Nadler took a lot of heat after he mistakenly referred to Hicks as “Ms. Lewandowski” multiple times during the hearing. Corey Lewandowski served as candidate Donald Trump’s campaign manager for part of the 2016 presidential race and briefly dated Hicks. Joining Friday’s “Inside Politics” on CNN, the roundtable of guests took turns taking shots at scumbag liar-Nadler and at other Judiciary Committee Democrats for reportedly taking photos during the hearing. “It’s clearly unprofessional for people to be taking pictures in a closed hearing, kind of unbelievable that they would do that,” White House Correspondent Abby Phillip came out of the gate swinging. As IJR News reported, House Democrats were frustrated by Hicks’ lack of answers during the hearing. Republicans, on the other hand, came to her defense with some even calling the hearing “another political stunt” by Democrats who aren’t moving past the Mueller report. On Friday, scumbag liar-Nadler explained that he “meant nothing” by referring to Hick as “Ms. Lewandowski” and that he “just screwed it up.” This is one of many screw ups.  https://ijr.com/cnn-panel-drags-nadler-democrats-offensive-behavior-hicks-hearing/
Congress Is Dysfunctional,

americanthinker.com } ~ Due to the 2018 midterm elections, America no longer has a functional Congress. About the only things getting done in Congress, such as judicial confirmations, are happening in the Senate and don’t require the House... The House, now controlled by Democrats led by Speaker liar-Nancy Pulosi, might as well go home. To appreciate just how worthless the new House is, consider the budget. Federal budgets are legislation and originate in the House. For 2019, the Congressional Budget Office forecasts a deficit of $896B. That’s an increase of 15 percent from last year’s $779B deficit, despite a rise of 2.3 percent in federal receipts. But some think the deficit could hit a $1 trillion in 2019. Having presided over the nation’s first trillion-dollar deficit in 2009, liar-Pulosi is the most fiscally disastrous speaker in history. Voters were warned that she was lying about ever abiding by her promises of PAYGO. Every so-called “moderate” Democrat representative who vowed to not vote for this ridiculous woman to be Speaker of the House third in line to the president but who then voted for her, should be “primaried” in 2020, and never heard from again. House Democrats are an alarming admixture of hoary antiques and feral children. But these two groups have one thing in common: the answer to everything is more government and more spending. But Congress has been shedding its responsibilities for decades. Congress has ceded over its own authority and duties to the judiciary by not removing judges who “legislate from the bench”, to the Federal Reserve by expecting the Fed to keep unemployment down, rather than using fiscal policy to help the economy, and to the bureaucrats of the administrative state i.e. the permanent government to create regulations that have the same impact as laws. Congress has also forked over power to the president, such as the power to levy tariffs. There are exceptions, of course, but nowadays Congress is more like a gaggle of effete palace courtiers than a body of serious lawmakers...

Why a Bigger Social Security Program
Would Make Us Worse Off

dailysignal.com } ~ The truth is unavoidable: Social Security is insolvent. It’s set to run out of money to pay scheduled benefits in about 15 years, barring action from Congress... Policymakers have only a handful of options to avoid a roughly 25% cut in benefits for everyone. They can raise taxes, cut benefits, or enact a combination of both—and the sooner Congress acts, the smaller the required tax increases or benefit cuts will be. What’s not clear to many Americans is whether they would be better off with a smaller or larger Social Security system altogether. Would they be better off paying more in taxes and receiving more from Social Security, or keeping more of their money in the first place? In a new report, my colleague and I at The Heritage Foundation examine that question. We find that Americans of all income levels would be better off paying less in Social Security taxes and receiving more targeted benefits in line with need. Alas, that’s not what Congress wants to do. Within the next month or so, the House of Representatives will likely pass the Social Security 2100 Act, which would make Social Security solvent by imposing super-sized tax increases. The bill goes further than just raising taxes enough to avoid benefit cuts. It would raise taxes enough to increase benefits immediately for all current and future Social Security recipients. Were the bill to pass, Social Security tax rates would rise for everyone beginning in 2020, rising incrementally from the current 12.4% to 14.8% in 2043...

Gorsuch Slams The Supreme Court For
Turning A Blind Eye To Overcriminalization

{forbes.com} ~ The U.S. Supreme Court made it much easier for federal agencies to create new crimes and prosecute them, rejecting a constitutional challenge based on the separation of powers... In an unusual split that saw Justice Samuel Alito join the Supreme Court’s liberal wing, Gundy v. United States upheld the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA), a “comprehensive national system” Congress established in 2006 to register sex offenders, which gave the Attorney General vast powers of rulemaking and enforcement. By upholding SORNA’s broad delegation of power, the Supreme Court has set a precedent for even greater federal criminalization, which is already—quite literally—incalculable. When the Justice Department tried to count the total number of federal criminal laws in 1982, the attorney tasked with that job ultimately gave up after two years. In the early 1990s, one study made an educated guess that there were over 300,000 federal regulatory crimes, a number that has surely grown in the decades since. By comparison, that’s “67 times as many crimes as the about 4,500 federal statutory crimes,” the Institute for Justice reported, while the Code of Federal Regulations includes “one million regulatory mandates or prohibitions and imposes over one trillion dollars in costs.” In a fierce dissent, Justice Neil Gorsuch slammed the Supreme Court for letting Congress “endow the nation’s chief prosecutor with the power to write his own criminal code governing the lives of a half-million citizens.” Enforcing  the separation of powers, he wrote, is “about safeguarding a structure designed to protect their liberties, minority rights, fair notice, and the rule of law.”The case centered on Herman Gundy, who pled guilty to sexually assaulting a minor in Maryland. When Gundy was released from prison in 2012, he went to live in New York but failed to register as a sex offender under SORNA. Anyone who is required to register but knowingly fails to do so can face up to 10 years in prison. For offenders convicted after its enactment, SORNA is meticulous: The Act created three tiers to classify future offenders, detailing the criteria for each tier and what conditions must be met to reduce an offender’s registry period. But for the roughly 500,000 people convicted before the Act, SORNA offers just one paragraph for guidance...

dinky-Warren, commie-Sanders Fighting for the Left Flank

Michael Swartz:  It’s taken a long time for Elizabeth dinky-Warren’s campaign to warm up. She was the first top-tier candidate to announce her 2020 run, having created her exploratory committee last year. And now, she may finally be moving into the far-left lane that her supporters were begging her to take when she opted out of a 2016 run against scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton.

By taking a pass during the previous presidential election cycle, dinky-Warren ceded that wing of the party to fellow senator and avowed socialist commie-Bernie Sanders — and she watched commie-Sanders become a Pied Piper to a broad swath of the electorate. Those who “felt the commie-Bern” in 2016 have mostly stuck with their septuagenarian socialist, but polling now suggests that Warren is tapping into that group. A recent poll saw her gain five points on polling leader loose lips liar-Joe Biden, which placed her ahead of commie-Sanders.

For his part, commie-Sanders is now trying to write off the dinky-Warren surge as bought-and-paid-for: “The corporate wing of the Democratic Party is publicly ‘anybody but commie-Bernie.’” Unfortunately, commie-Bernie is beginning to come across as yesterday’s news, while Warren (who turns 70 tomorrow) seems a somewhat fresher alternative, having broadened her appeal to a more populist crowd and at times even sounding a little like Donald Trump. She’s made a pitch to the lunch-pail crowd by allowing her campaign to be unionizedby the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers — albeit a few weeks after the commie-Sanders campaign unionized.

Of course, in most other instances, dinky-Warren doesn’t sound at all like Trump. Remember, she’s the one came up with the so-called Accountable Capitalism Act, and the one who insisted that no one in America got rich on their own. Left-wing pundits argue that she and commie-Sanders “generally agree on a lot of policy,” but the nuance comes where commie-Sanders is “a democratic socialist” and dinky-Warren is “a social democrat.”

To take it further, “If you believe in capitalism and you believe it has gone a little off the rails in the last generation, but it remains the best system to maintain economic growth and democracy, then dinky-Warren is the better candidate for you,” explained Barnard College political scientist Sheri Berman. “Or do you believe that capitalism is inherently unjust, inherently unstable? Then Sanders is the right fit.”

That straddling of the fence between capitalist productivity and socialist power will only last as long as Warren can continue her charade as a policy wonk who “has a plan for it” regardless of the problem. (And if anyone can maintain a charade, it’s Honest Injun Elizabeth.) Warren has been talking about imbalances in the system “in a way that doesn’t suggest she’s a socialist or she wants to kind of blow up the economy,” said one time Joe Lieberman speechwriter Dan Gerstein, who added that her approach is different than that of mainstream Democrats “tinkering around the edges” with policies like a minimum wage raise or entitlement reform.

dinky-Warren works hard to appear normal, taking lots of selfies and even choking down a beer like a regular Jane, but it’s worth noting that she hasn’t exactly lived like Joe Sixpack. Instead, she’s spent much of her adult life in the halls of academia, and her time in the ivory tower seems to correlate well with her party switch from Republican to Democrat in the mid-‘90s.

Of course, for Warren to appear truly “normal,” she’ll need to show some respect for those who worked hard to build their businesses and succeeded — unlike a previous president who once snidely remarked, “You didn’t build that.”

Try as she might, though, that lunch pail she’s toting around is still full of socialist baloney.  ~The Patriot Post
