Here is another email that I got from MoveOn...  Again, they are using Social Media to spread their lies and messaging vis-a-vis Youtube.  I hope that people with some power on our side are also using these methods - they are much cheaper and the young people do check them out (I know, my kids are up all night long during the summer perusing the net).  See what they have to say...

Dear MoveOn member,

Think Obama's a shoo-in?

Think again. Romney is ahead in a whole series of recent polls.1 And super PACs are poised to spend huge amounts of money to sway the race—just like they did yesterday in Wisconsin.

The good news is that in this election the Internet is giving us whole new ways to fight back at a fraction of the cost of a traditional ad campaign—and we're miles ahead of the right-wing Super PACs figuring out how to take advantage.

You see, today a single YouTube video can get more attention than a big-budget TV campaign. And people are far more likely to be persuaded by something shared by a friend than what they see on TV.

That's where we come in. With a tiny social media team of just four staff and a few interns, has figured out how to disseminate powerful messages to millions of people through social media. For instance, just one video we publicized on gay marriage alone reached more than 21 million people. To reach this many eyeballs with TV ads, it could cost almost a million dollars.3

Here's the kicker: We only need to raise $200,000 to fund this entire project for the next few critical months.

Can you chip in $5 to help counter the Super PACs using social media?

In 8 out of 16 national polls released over the last month, Romney is ahead.4 Anyone who says Obama's a shoo-in just isn't paying attention. But social media is giving us new ways to fight back—and is on the cutting edge.

Research shows that more and more voters are getting news through social media like Facebook and Twitter.5 That's especially true of those under-30 voters.

We've spent a year working on the computer software and online tools that let us reach these viewers. Our high-tech platform supports a talented team of volunteer and staff editors who scour the Web for the highest impact progressive videos and graphics. When news breaks, they're ready to toss a wrench into the conservative spin machine.

But we need to scale up even more. Fox News reaches more than 2 million people per day. We can match that—we need to match that. We need to reach further into Facebook and other social media realms like Twitter, Digg, Reddit, and Pinterest, where hundreds of millions of Americans are spending huge chunks of time. The war of ideas is happening in short, 8 to 24 hour news cycles on the web, and we're ramping up to be right on the front lines.

Chip in $5 to help counter the Super PACs using social media.

Sometimes, all we need to counter the right's agenda is the right picture at the right moment. When Republicans in Congress convened a panel on birth control, but didn't bother to invite any women, that image of five middle-aged men said it all. Thousands instantly shared it on Facebook.

Other times, it's a gripping personal story that changes minds. When there was controversy about the Susan G. Komen Foundation, we featured a video by a gutsy breast cancer survivor named Linda, who had some no-nonsense words for the people who had let her down. More than 383,000 watched, as we and our allies mobilized phone calls and grassroots pressure—and Komen changed course.

It's an entirely new way of communicating, and MoveOn is proud to be a pioneer. We can't stop those right-wing SuperPACs from buying their old-fashioned TV ads. Yet. But we can beat them by investing in people-power and staying ahead of the curve in online campaigning.

Click here now to chip in $5.

Thanks for all you do.

Seriously, you have to give them credit for being the biggest hounds on the planet!  I signed onto the enemy website to see what they were sending out and today I got my third request for money from the Obama Campaign.  Can you spare $3?  Mind chipping in?  This is really a pathetic attempt to drain even the poorest of the poor - they don't bother asking for a normal amount: $10, $25, $50.  Na - not this classy bunch of politicitians.  They want the $3 buck donations to be send in over and over and over, til you don't even realize what you have sent them!!

Anyway, just putting this out there to keep us informed of their movements...  Every time I get one of these, I get a sick feeling - they are good on the technology side.  They also use lingo directed at younger donors or people who are 'kinda simple' as my mom used to say, as if you are getting a little instant message from your friend Barack, or your pal MIchelle.  Again, it makes me sick.  But I do think we need to be doing similar things...

Voter --

There are two ways to look at it: This is yet another email from the campaign in your inbox. Or this email is making our organization stronger.

Grassroots support, especially online, is how we compete with our opponents. And we won't win without it.

If you've got a few bucks to spare, mind chipping in before midnight?

Here is the latest release that I got from Messina...  (ugh)

Big news: In 10 days, President Obama is hitting the campaign trail.

On Saturday, May 5th, the President and First Lady Michelle Obama are holding the first two public rallies of the campaign in Columbus, Ohio, and Richmond, Virginia. He'll speak about how far we've come, and lay out the very real stakes in this election: Are we going to continue to move forward, rebuilding an economy that's meant to last, with a growing middle class and more Americans getting a fair shot? Or are we going to go back to the same failed policies that crashed our economy and left too many folks struggling to catch up? That's the choice.

These kinds of events are one of the hallmarks of this organization. Millions of people first came to know and support candidate Barack Obama in 2007 and 2008 when they met him at rallies and town halls in their communities. We're now entering the general election of his final campaign -- this day should be something pretty special.

The President would like two supporters from across the country and their guests to meet him backstage before he goes on at the first rally. Supporters like you are the core of this campaign -- so we're opening this up to anyone willing to sign up.

Right now, by signing up to receive important campaign updates on your phone, you will be automatically entered to join the President backstage.

What we're looking at right now is essentially the start of a general election. We've all but got our opponent. This is what we've been building for since we launched this campaign last April -- and we're ready to go.

I can tell you the President can't wait to get out there.

You really can't lose on this one: As part of our mobile community, you'll be sure to hear about events near you, when the President will be in your area, and other campaign news.

And signing up right now just might land you the chance to meet President Obama backstage before he starts firing folks up.

Want to be there with him? Sign up for text updates -- and be automatically entered for you and a guest to meet him backstage:

P.S. -- Even if you can't be there, you'll still be able see the first rally for yourself. We'll be streaming the event live on our site. Stay tuned for more information about that.

Message from Messina: give $3 now!

I have been receiving these regularly - gotta give them credit they ask for $3 a pop and I bet there are many Obamanite giving them their change.  I am surely not one of them!!  I am on this list because I was a student of Political Science and worked in Marketing for years.  I always want to know what the competition is doing.

I also post these here so that all can see what they are doing in their efforts to take America away from the hardworking Americans that love this country.  When Obama spoke of change, he wasn't kidding.  He wants to change everything about this country: our position of power in the world, or strong economic based status; our free market system.  His idea of change is to remove us from our leadership position in the world to be more aligned with other Socialist/Communist countries  You see, Socialism only works when EVERYONE plays along.  The Europeans, although allies of ours technically, are no less jealous than any other third world country of our power and our position in the world.  In fact, when you read of 'the French' keep in mind that their demographics have changed A TON since they opened the flood gates of immigration to their previous held colonies Tunisia, Algeria and the like.  Europe is not what it used to be, and if Obama had his way, America would have a similar fate.

I, for one, am not going to stand by and not speak up about it.  I hope that our side has just as strong a message going out to our team.  It is nice to know that we have big donors pulling through for our side, because we are up against an incombent and you can bet that he has raided the kitty for campaign funds to help support his efforts.  We already know that he has given generous subsidies to his union buddies, and they are surely kicking the money back around full circle.  So in reality, we are all paying for his re-election campaign.  Here is the latest message that I received from his campaign manager (kinda makes me sick every time I get one of these!!).

Here's an excerpt from an article published in today's Washington Post:

"An anonymous donor gave $10 million late last year to run ads attacking President Obama... And in the new, free-wheeling environment of independent political giving, the identity of this donor, like many others, is likely to remain a permanent mystery. The donation went to Crossroads GPS, the conservative nonprofit group founded with support of political strategist Karl Rove."

This new system of unlimited, anonymous giving is the number one threat to President Obama staying in office.

If this $10 million check swings this election to Mitt Romney, the public won't even know the name of the contributor who bought the election. But Karl Rove will -- and you can bet that Rove will do his best to make sure he, she, or it (since this could be a check straight from a corporation) will have a seat at the table in a Romney administration.

This is cynical stuff -- a cold-blooded attempt to withhold from the public the names of the billionaires and corporations who are trying to buy our government. But we've got 1.8 million people so far who have stood up to be counted in support of President Obama.

You're one of them. But the reality is that with $10 million checks about to unleash a flood of negative ads trashing President Obama, we've all got to dig a little deeper.

Blagojevich Semi-Clean?
Rahm Emmanuel Totally Dirty?
“Slimy” may be the only way to put it. Who would have thought a year ago that you’d be hearing “disgraced” Illinois ex-Governor Rob Blagojevich saying, “When I’m governor again . . .” and “. . . Sam, when I’m vindicated, I’ll be back in politics again, I’ll be riding high . . . one honest person against a corrupt system . . .” Whoah! Are Rajjpuut’s ears deceiving him? Blago’s corruption trial starts next week. But Ol' Rajjpuut has a hunch that Barack Obama may soon find himself relieved to be discussing the Gulf Oil Leak rather than . . . other things like a disturbing pattern of illegal interferences and virtual bribes in the election process, you'll remember you heard that comment here first, won't you?
Pennsylvania Representative, Joe Sestak, you’ll remember, openly said he received an offer of a job-bribe to drop out of the senate primary race against a long-term senate veteran and sort-of Democratic incumbent Arlen Specter (a turncoat from the Republican Party) but refused the offer. Sestak was angry at the time, you’ll remember, but calm now. What started out as a carefully orchestrated press release by the White House dropped on the wires late in the afternoon of a Friday, before a major holiday now may well hold in it the seed of a major scandal right in the heart of the Obama administration. It appears to all be part of a network of Democratic corruption that sends chills up the spine.
Blagojevich, you’ll remember, sought to subpoena Barack Obama for his corruption trial. Blagojevich, you’ll remember, sought to have permission to use 100% of the phone taping by the FBI in his defense and implying that White House conversations are part of the package.
Obama, you’ll remember, was very clever about getting his 60th senate
seat back in the early days of his administration, by seeking to appoint two Republicans to jobs in his administration (he was only successful getting one to take him up on it). Rahm Emanuel, you’ll remember, is Obama’s hatchet man, notorious for assaulting congressmen in the shower while swearing like a marine gunnery sargeant. Emanuel was also associated with Bill Clinton's administration, you'll remember.
The White House and Harry Reid, you’ll also remember, were infamous for bribettes associated with votes on Obamacare to various senators such as Ben Nelson’s “Corn Husker Kickback,” the mysterious case of Medicare Advantage beneficiaries in Pennsylvania, Florida and New York all winning protection for beneficiaries for a program that is being cut elsewhere nationwide, Bernie Sanders’ $10 Billion “Sweetheart Funding” for health care centers, Ben Nelson and Carl Levin’s “Non-profit Insurance Exemption” for Nebraska and Michigan, Bernie Sanders’ and Patrick Leahy’s “Special Medicaid Fundings,” and Mary Landrieu’s unconsionable “Louisiana Purchase.”
In the so-called Sestak scandal, the Obama administration, you’ll remember, talked about PLURAL “discussions” (notice so far we have only one discussion REVEALED with Bill Clinton playing a role -- which now seem to be felony discussions akin to bribes) with ex-president Bill Clinton in one of these discussions conveying a message from Rahm Emanuel trying to get Pennsylvania Representative (and ex-admiral) Joe Sestak to drop out of the senate race against Arlen Specter -- a clear felony. Howsomever, the hits keep coming, it appears that here in Colorado where Rajjpuut lives, one Jim Messina, Obama’s deputy chief of staff under, who else, Rahm Emanuel initiated conversation with Andrew Romanoff (even before the Sestak attempt) offering him a bribe-job in the administration according to the Denver Post which referenced several high-ranking Colorado Democrats who asked for “anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.” Romanoff, like Sestak refused the request to drop-out of his senate primary race against (like Sestak) a Democratic incumbent. Unlike Sestak, Romanoff is refusing to discuss the matter with the press. The key ingredient in a whole lot of this including Blagojevich’s involvement? The U.S. senate where Barack Obama has been mighty concerned about getting or keeping or regaining his 60-vote filisbuster-proof senate majority.
Blagojevich, you’ll remember, was accused of trying to sell Barack Obama’s vacated seat . . . Blagojevich, you’ll remember, has intimated that he was pressured to give the seat to someone he didn’t want to, by the Obama administration. Blagojevich, you’ll remember has felt himself stonewalled out by the administration when seeking information and testimony from Obama and the White House, he says will help clear him. Blagojevich was even turned down by the U.S. Supreme Court this week when the White House let Justice Stevens know that they're opposed to allowing Blagojevich a delay for further evidence gathering. Blagojevich, you’ll remember, faces his corruption trial next week.
All this is quite problematical for Sestak and Romanoff. They’ve both run as anti-Washington type-fellows well above the cheap fray and all corruption possibilities. And now in both cases . . . Sestak with his “there was nothing wrong” comment and Romanoff by stonewalling . . . in both cases they appear to be showing themselves as “good team players.” Romanoff’s case is particularly curious as he not only refuses to answer questions about the offer, but he even refuses to refuse to answer. His aides are delegated to saying for him, “Andy doesn’t want to comment on that” ten times a day. Obama’s hardball down and dirty Chicago-Style operation is also in direct opposition to the squeaky clean transparency he promised – wow, imagine that: Obama told a lie? Don’t bet the questions will stop any time soon, you’ll lose your money.
Ya’ll live long, strong and ornery,
