America the Afraid

In the famous words penned by Francis Scott Key after witnessing the bombardment of Fort McHenry by Royal Navy ships in Chesapeake Bay during the Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812.

"The land of the Free and the home of the Brave." 

Americas citizens are faced with in my opinion the biggest challenges since the cold war. Each day more and more of our constitutional liberties are under attack from within our borders. 

We are told cannot say that it's not PC, accept everything , go with the flow, don't stand up, be complacent, right is wrong, the American flag offends people, capitalism is bad, the rule of law does not matter, illegal is legal, Islam is a religion of peace, watch your neighbors, your kids have to recite passages from the Koran, trust the NEA to set the standards for your children's education, you have no say what schools are teaching your children, fear the IRS, the BLM can take your land, let the TSA grope your family because they make the rules and arrest you if you protest, be subject to illegal searches, The Second Amendment is no longer valid, being a Christian is for the uneducated people and christian morals are outdated, states rights are subject to federal oversight and liberal judges decisions, voter fraud is not a crime, illegals can vote in elections, illegals are entitled to social benefits, Vets are disrespected and treated as second class citizens, America is an evil nation, Burning the flag is okay because its racist, It's okay to shoot a cop, It's no longer Christmas its Happy Holidays and you cannot say Merry Christmas, A confederate flag is racist, people deserve entitlements and you must comply with unlawful Supreme court decisions.

Did I miss anything? Of course I did because each day our rights and freedoms are being eroded by the progressives and an administration that believes America must be changed because it is an oppressive country and as a Nation we are bad people. 

Have we become a nation of fear filled people? Did we surrender our rights and freedoms to corrupt politicians? Whats happened to our independent spirit? Whats happened to God Bless America and One Nation Under God? When will we restore the Prayer and Pledge in our classrooms?

My point is Americans cannot live in fear when so many sacrificed and gave their lives to keep us free. The time has come for the Brave to stand up and be counted among those who said I will not cower before any threats , but I will stand my ground for God , Family and My country.

Pushing Begins in Labor and Continues Through Life

Today is the day after my son turned 18 years old.  Reflecting back, I realize when they told me to push during labor, that was the begining of a continual process.   Whether your child has special needs or is quote "normal," it is a parental job to push children beyond their comfort zone.

Sometimes I have felt guilty for being "General Mommy or Sergeant Mommy;" so nicknamed by dad, my husband Bill.

Tanner was not an easy baby.  He had troubles eating from the start.  He through up and would be considered a colic baby.  Working with doctors and listening to the expereince of my mom(mother of four) resulted in putting rice in each bottle to help decrease the throwing up and weight gain proceeded.

At the age of six months, Tanner landed in the hospital for RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus).  Funny now but not at the time my sister recalls that I was not making sense and thought I was kidding when I called her to tell her  You see I was a nervous parent going from the doctor's office straight to the hospital and told her he had RSVP virus.

The hospital stay was almost a week.  It may have been worse for my husband and I to endure than Tanner.  Seeing your child in an oxygen tent and having tests ran in a haze of a short time is traumatic.  Then they tell you to move because you are in the way! Parental rights show up in your eyes resulting in a "Please" being spit out immediately and apoligetically.  He came along fine after about three months of nebulizer treatments, beating on the chest with a suction cup to break up secrestions and being on/off antibiotics.

Tanner was sick off and on quite often.  It seems I can remember all of his early holidays being sick.  My sister, that dresses very professionly all the time, was thrown up on and her car when she took him to the doctor for me right before his first Christmas.  That was one of the first holidays he was sick on.

Tanner weighted 17 pounds at one year old. Both my husband I worried about him.  He didn't or wouldn't eat well sometimes.  He stayed on his formula until he was about two years old or a bit older.  He refused milk.

At thirteen months if was obvious we were dealing with more than one could understand. My husband moved a toy or his cup about an inch or two.  He came back running to move it back to the exact position.  I new then and along with some other things observed there was something "wrong" or not quite right.

I am telling you all this for a reason.  This made it hard to make hard choices when he was older.  Worring about his health and weight gain, we let him start eating an unhealthy diet.  This wasn't at the time but it developed into a stance later on.  This also made being hard on him extremely trying.

Thus, began the parental divide on how to parent.  How do you face the something "wrong" or not normal along with health concerns?  I realized that at a certain point I couldn't go the path of least reistance.  Everyone had advise but I read while seaching for the reasons.  Family said not to worry and my husband appeard to me to like "denial."

Then and there I decided a proactive approach was best.  I proceeded to get Tanner into Preschool at age three.  I pushed for extra therapies like, speech and music.  I enrolled him in Kindermusic because of the benefits I had read about music in special needs and other areas of life.  One of his first sentences he said was sung back to me.   On our way to music class I sung to him, "Now it is time for music, music, music."  He was restless and sung back, "Now it's time for Grandma's, Grandma's!"  I was proud.  He had talked some but not like that.

The school said to make picture books and have him say what the picture was.  I made a jillion picture books.  Tanner would have to say his ABC's as I wrote them in the dirt at the park before he could swing.  Later he would have to write them.

I made 26 pages of huge ABC's on letter size paper.  Sensory issues were present and I read about trying differnt tactile approaches.  I cut out Sandpaper ABC's.  I found the experts that I thought could help me with advancing my son's chances of a better life.  I used the program "Handwriting Without Tears," to help him with writing.  This was on top of what the school was doing for him and the extra therapies I could afford like Speech and Occupational Therapy.

Do you see the pushing going on?  This continues for 18 years.  Tanner has autism so pushing can be a delicate balance.  I have him volunteering to gain job skills.  Do or did I feel guilty for being "A hard A$$?"  Sometimes!

Yet, let us ask the questions of what might have happened if I had given up?  Believed those provider's that were foolish to advise me to put my son in an institution?  Gone the path of least reisistance?  I doubt my son would be where he is today.   This has meant many battles in my marriage and in parenting my son with my husband.

Sometimes those with autism have problems with hygeine.  Tanner doesn't like his hair cut or wash it well all the time either.  I have wrestled with this for years. His counselor said to do one thing and my therapist disagrees.

This means another "Big PUSH" to help him into adulthood.  The ultimatum will be to keep his hair clean with two warnings, with the third resulting in a BUZZ CUT!  I have said this before.  Yes, I am human.  I don't follow through on everything. Parenting cam be DEMANDING.  Fights on how to parent wear you out.  However, this time I have the resolve to do it.

Thus, remember from the start of labor and delivery of your child when they tell you to "PUSH" it means for life not only during birth!

You want to put me in a home?
When rearending four cars; it wasn't my fault they stopped to fast!
The trashcan jumped out in front of me.
The curb was too close to the street.
Won't take a cab; even though they can darn well afford it?
Leaves water running over in a bathroom sink for an hour and does damage to areas of carpet in four rooms?
Leave milk out or other cold items for hours?
Other forgetful indicators of dementia of some sort?
Has a personality change; either becomes really negative or sweet sweet?
Here is a letter I wrote to my sister in a journal but never gave her.
Dear Sister:
I know you love mom. You are an angel. You have been in some ways more of a mother to me than mom sometimes. You want to mother everyone, including my son Tanner. You are warn out. I know you are working on getting mom help. Sister it is okay to give up.
Setting boudaries is okay. Or, but mom in assisted living for a while until the medication either works or doesn't work. You are showing signs of being worn out.
I know you don't ask more of me than I can give. At one point I would have drained myself like you are. I realize now that I can no longer drain myself and take care of an autistic son. Plus, ______(husband...fell at work needs knee surgery but ended up with Deep Vein Thombosis, and Pulmonary Emboli...but God saw these were caught and he is alive...with filter in place to catch clots) needs special attention. I also have been sick with high fevers over the last two years. The only thing showing up is high C-Reactive protein and cortisol levels; indicating stress. Well now that I have gone 2 months with only two fevers and one sinus infection; I am exercising and committed to preserving this break in my health.
The bottom line is I can help but not on the level mom needs. Sister, I can't tell you what to do. I can tell you that none of us are equipped to help 24/7. Or, total to fill in the holes. You have a job. I don't want you to carry such a burden. Think about what I have said. You are a loving carring person but overloading yourself may make you not able to be there down the road when mom may need us further.
We have tried to get her to go and get medication that would help her to stay in her home. If being in assisted living would help until medication or a solution would help....that would be great. However, I am worried she may be unsafe by herself. Unless she agrees to having help come in a couple of days a week and going to adult daycare 2 days a week; I feel she must be placed in assisted living. However, my sister is in charge.
My therapist has taught me about boundaries. She uses the airplane analogy about parents putting on your oxygen mask first before placing it on small children. If a parent isn't breathing; they cannot help their child(ren) effectively. The same goes for helping their parents.

AMA AND OTHERS CAUTIONS “RETAIL CLNICS; BIG BAD WOLF!”

Let’s start with some of the arguments these groups put forward as reasons for concern in using a Retail Clinic!

  • Ø Do not have access to all chart records.
  • Ø Causes Fragmentation of care by adding another provider.
  • Ø Staffed often by Physician Assistances or Nurse Practitioner
  • Ø No patient follow up care.
  • Ø Chronically ill are more complicated than clinics usually see.  (Note it doesn’t say can’t handle)
  • Ø Question if have patient’s best interests at heart!

I looked in detail at five articles about these warnings.  The first covers the period around 2007.  Titled AMA Goes After Walmart Style Retail Clinics, it warns of the same concerns.  “Our primary focus is patient safety and patient care, and the retail clinics have a different mission of selling products and prescriptions,” said Dr. Rodney Osborn.  The AMA stance at that time was to lobby for increases regulations of these Retail Clinics.  Typically doctors often site regulations and dealing with insurance as an over regulated problem.

The other articles cover and aim at those clinics owned by CVS, Walgreen’s, Target and other groups. On Feb. 23, 2014 (my 52 birthday updated a statement disapproving of the Retail Clinics.  Again the list above covers their reasons for concern.

An article written in Aug. of 2012 shows these statistics.

  • Ø Total visits go from 1.5 million (2007) to 6 million (2009)
  • Ø The same study notes that there are 557 million visits to Doctors and 177 to ER’s
  • Ø One significant change in demographics was that those over 65 were at 7.5% (2000 to 2006) and at 14.7 (2007 to 2009).
  • Ø About 40% of the visits from 2007 to 2009 were for immunizations.

I now have a few questions and statements I think need to be considered.

  • Ø How often can the people that visited a Retail Clinic did so because of lack of access to an appointment needed now?
  • Ø How many ER’s have access to a patient’s health record or chart?
  • Ø How many Pediatricians really know a patient and remember that child’s chart when called after hours?
  • Ø How many Nurse Practitioners or PA’s are employed by Pediatricians or Doctors?
  • Ø Is it really fair to say no access to follow up care?  I say this because many say to follow up with your family practitioner or come back to them if they do not have one!
  • Ø If it is still true that most(almost half, 40%) go for immunizations, is this really a big issue?
  • Ø What study said this are that?  Compare it to what is actually going on.
  • Ø Should Pharmacists really be giving vaccinations when they are bogged down just filling prescriptions?
  • Ø How many groups are going to have a formal relationship with your Pediatrician?
  • Ø Is some of the disjoint and lack of communication the fault of the AMA for going after the Retail Clinics instead of really working with these groups to shore up the holes? Or, is this just about the bottom line?
  • Ø How many people complain about not enough time with their doctor?

I would think again about what the AMA and AAP says about these clinics.  I would think also about getting prescriptions where pharmacists are doing a lot of vaccinations.  I am a pharmacist and will get plenty of feedback for this I am sure.

The bottom line is go to places that you feel comfortable.  I can personally vouch for a Nurse Practitioner owned clinic.   Excellent care is what my husband (also a pharmacist), my son and I get when we go there.  This does not stop me from having a family practice physician.  I have gone to this man since 1987 and will not go elsewhere  besides that NP owned clinic in Yukon, OK.  They do not compete but compliment each other.

"Mop Monster," came out when Mom wanted to clean the floors but had a 7 year old, 6 year old, 4 but almost year old, and 1 almost 2 year old around to deal with under foot.

The couch became a magnificent ocean going Sailing Vessel we might call the "Mallo."  It would have to put all the sails to the West or East. Then maybe to the North or South depending on the whim of the "Mop Monster."

The Mom Monster would occasionally rise up and step by step work its way up the "Mallo."  The spirit behind the "Mop Monster" was rutheless and fun.   It was out mother playing  with us.

She, Dorothy Mallo, had to clean the house and get all those little feet to stay in one place at a time.   This way by playing with them and thinking up the character of "Mop Monster," she accomplished house cleaning and play time all at once.  Not bad for a mother of 4 to do all in one day.

I can't rememeber how many times the tangles of the "Mop Monster" scared us on to have some of the best times of our lives.  Mom could think up many things like the "Mop Monster," to get what she needed done.  But what was nicest of all was she found ways to do them while spending time with her family.  That makes her an  Ace among mom's of all generations.

I challenge moms every where to do better than "Mop Monster!"

Disability doesn't have to be debilitating.   Disability only means finding a different approach or way around life's curves.   One must find a way to get to the end of the road by hopping, using a cane, wheelchair or being carried by God.

How many people without arms have learned to drive, paint, write or other with their feet?  Technolgy has made it

easier for us now more than ever before in history.  What is stopping you from going forward?  What is stopping you from helping

your son, daughter, grandaughter, student, or patient?  Do you make excuses for them?  Do you let the stagnate?  High

expectations will help them reach their full potential.

My husband and I have gone head to head on these questions over and over.  I tend to be the pusher and my

husband the "Disney Dad."  That is all well and good if you have a child that can reach his full potential through learning

from others.  A special needs child or differently abled child needs even sterner goals and directions in my opinon.

My son is an only child.  There are no close relatives that can monitor his progress or look in on him once his parents are gone.  He will be on his

own once my husband and I die.  My son has shown me over and over he is capable. Go and get a copy of Wanda

Draper's book, "YOUR CHILD IS SMARTER THAN YOU THINK!"  She is an internationally know Child Development

Specialist.

Expectations are what you will get from your children.  My son can wash his clothes, vacuum, unload the

diswasher, or baically any household chore.  When it comes to mowing the yard or other chore that deals with a male

oriented task ( my husband interfered on me showing him); my son, Tanner, is at a lose as how to proceed.

Do you know why my son can do the things I mentioned above?  I showed him how to do them.  You can do this too.

Now I will insert the story of an 85 year old premie child that wasn't supposed to be according to her doctor's when

she was born and through a few life events.  My mother, Dorothy Mallo, was born early before the fullterm of a

pregnancy.  One way to give you an idea of how small she was is to tell you they used my grandfather's hankerchiefs for

diapers because nothing else seemed to fit.  Dorothy was born with a club foot and the growth in one leg had to be

stopped because one leg had stopped growing.

Dorothy had many surgeies at the Shriner's Hospital's.  This meant spending a year away from home.  Dorothy

often had to walk to school on crutches.  Did it ever occur to her or her family she was disabled and completely debilitated?

Apparently not!

Dorothy went on to graduate from high school and then on to Secretary College (which now I understand would be

the equivalent of an Associates Degree).  Dorothy continued to work, marry, have four children and do many things

that any normal person did.

How come these issues didn't beat her down?  What did Dorothy do that many others would not?  What is the

formula for keeping your disabilites from making you debilitated?

Could it be attitude?  Your family support system?  I feel these are part of the answer.  I also know it has to do

with the times.  I think society makes more excuses for people with disabilites and has lowered expectations.  They give

A Miscarriage of Justice Times Two

What can this mean you ask?

I will take you to task.

You see a miscarriage I had.

Of justice times two is bad.

 

Hidden away nice and neat,

In my cerebral cortex.

Filed and organized,

No emotion, was I going to show.

 

Robot-like logic has offered,

Much comfort and protected

Or, so I thought.

Never knew what prickly thorns I had grown.

 

Around the year of 98,

Cramping bloody murder;

Went to the clinic,

My memory is like a drunk of slurry words.

 

Either two weeks pregnant!

Could’ve been two weeks late!

Meaning maybe 4 weeks pregnant.

Basically boiling down to between 2 to 6 weeks pregnant.

 

Never knew.

Had a clue,

Pregnant, I was,

Or, could have been.

 

You see a mother of a 15 month old,

Working, pursuing a Master’s,

Doing all the housework,

Driving, caring for one with autism, and other family.

 

Worn out!

Sworn to get out!

Walked day to day,

Cold robot fashion.

 

Then to find out,
Lost a child,

One of her greatest wants!

From God, almost completely she turned.

 

A living being,

I had done nothing so wrong.

Told not a soul.

But mad as hell.

 

Good reason not to tell.

A husband, ass at the time.

Grown up some since,

Quite a bit, actually.

 

Deny me if you must,

A boy it was.

Parker Nelson, heaven’s my next step.

Short time we had, but we’ll catch up.

 

Parker Nelson Adcock,

now I understand.

Like your brother still to meet,

Taught me lots of things in life you have.

 

God forgive my anger.

Let us put it up on hangers.

June 26, 2013 is a sad day in America as, in a 5 to 4 decision majority, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) eliminated ‘Christian’ basic values as taught in (y)our Holy Bible.

 

Voting for the majority and opposing our ConstitutionalChristian’ basic values are Justices Anthony Kennedy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan.

 

Voting for the minority and supporting our Constitutional ‘Christian’ basic values are

Chief Justice Roberts, and Justices Scalia, Thomas, and Alito.

 

President Reagan often referenced, America as “a shining city on a hill” and its promise, as well as its people's, was boundless.  What is and has happened to America?  Who is responsible for the ‘wrongs’ as our commenced and expounded government over the more recent 50 years or so in America?

 

To reference SCOTUS’s decision to ‘wreck’ their views and contradictory to (y)our Holy Bible:

Free parents to promote and allow their children an education; it’s their future.

Liberals, Progressives, Socialists, and Democrats continue to ‘force’ parents to continue to pay their taxes, and also send their children to ‘public schools’.  As an alternative to the ‘public schools’, the taxpayers are forced to pay additional costs for offering any alternative education for their children.

 

All legislators should and could release parents across America from a Socialistic ‘public education’ and allow parents to determine the ‘very best education’ for their children as may be attained.  It is merely a change of the states’ statues on ‘taxes and education’ within their respective domains.

 

Our “public schools”, led by our US Department of Education has, and continues to subsidize, champion, sponsor, lecture, and sustain more ‘Liberal’ social ideals; ideals contrary to our Constitutional ‘Christian’ values.

 

It is important for political leaders, our citizens, and the ‘main-stream’ Medias to recognize that our ‘public education’ ‘results’ continue downhill, as compared to other forms of education for our children, and other nations around the world.

 

It is in the best interest of the  children’s ‘parents’ and the ‘taxpayers’ for our children to be offered the ‘best education available’ for our communities, whether it be in ‘public schools’, private schools, charter schools, parochial schools, or home schools.  ‘All schools’ must meet ‘common test requirements’ in proving each child’s ‘instructional progress’ in their learning.

 

As Canadian-American journalist, author, and political philosopher, Isabel Paterson said, "A tax supported, compulsory educational system is the complete model of the totalitarian state."  Most states’ ‘public education’ has been a ‘compulsory educational system’ for years.  As any alternative to ‘public education’, the parents are forced to continue paying their taxes, then pay additional enormous costs for other ‘replacement’ education.

 

Competing to deliver the ‘very best education’ intended for (y)our children will require all ‘effective’ schools to get better and stronger.

 

Set our parents ‘free’ so as to promote and allow their children to ascertain a valuable, dynamic, healthy, and prosperous education; it is all about their future.

Shame on you, Boy Scouts of America's National Council as ‘you’ disgrace yourselves with your action, and in doing so to ‘improperly’ teach ‘immorally’ to our young children.

 

America’s ‘morality’ was just down-graded by the Boy Scouts of America's National Council as they voted to allow and/or accept ‘homosexuality is OK’ in the Boy Scouts.  This vote by the Boy Scouts of America's National Council indicates these leaders’ own personal reservation ‘honor’ teachings are expected to be decency responsibilities to our children; teachings the children have learned in their Houses of Worship and in their own homes from our Holy Bible that homosexuality is not OK.

 

Yes, shame on you, Boy Scouts of America's National Council.  With your acceptance of supporting homosexuality in the Boy Scouts of America, you are a disgrace to our younger generation(s).

I want to share a story of a good man, a heroic man. He’s British and a SAS Sgt but operated with our SF in the Tora Bora actions and saved many US lives. He’s now sitting in Military Prison after the greatest travesty of justice I have ever seen. I was a Marine and had the chance to work with Danny’s unit in Afghanistan and I can’t let this slide without at least spreading the word. The British should be shamed and ridiculed and he should be returned to his family before Christmas. Here’s a excerpt from the British Newspapers. Read his story if you are a veteran or support those who keep our freedoms?

“Sgt Nightingale, 37, is serving an 18-month sentence for possession of a firearm after a pistol given to him by Iraqi forces he trained was found in a locked box in his Army accommodation while he was on tour.

The SAS sniper had forgotten about its existence because of brain damage caused when he collapsed during an endurance sport event in which he was taking part to raise funds for the families of dead and injured SAS soldiers.

The sergeant, who had served 17 years in the Army, 11 of them in the SAS, pleaded guilty to possession of a handgun earlier this month, after his quarters were searched in an unrelated incident involving another SAS member.

 Civilian police found a 9mm Glock in a locked box.

 It had been given to Sgt Nightingale in 2007 by Iraqi special forces. He had intended to have it deactivated and kept as a souvenir in the SAS sergeants’ mess.

 But after he was ordered to accompany the bodies of two fallen comrades back to Britain, the pistol was packed with his other equipment and left in storage at SAS headquarters in Hereford.

 The SAS soldier then took part in an endurance running event in Brazil to raise money for the families of dead and wounded comrades, collapsed due to over-hydration and suffered brain damage which left him with lapses in his memory, which included forgetting about the existence of the pistol.

 The weapon was eventually transferred to his quarters, where it was found in the raid while he was on active service in Afghanistan.

Note - There is also growing concern over the quality of the case brought against Sgt Nightingale, and the actions of his Army superiors.

The Telegraph has learnt that the civilian West Mercia Police, which conducted the original investigation, decided not to press charges against Sgt Nightingale because “no criminal intent was suspected or could be established”.

 In a separate development, a leaked email from the SAS also showed that many of Sgt Nightingale’s colleagues believed that he had been “hung out to dry”.

 However, the email, which was sent to members of his squadron by a warrant officer, wrongly claimed that Sgt Nightingale stole operational equipment including weapons, body armour, radios, night vision goggles and ammunition."

The sign read “Destroy Our Children and You Destroy America.”  It was held by a parent who was part of the battle that launched the current cultural war (1) in 1974. 

Amazingly, American Christian and conservative leaders cannot comprehend that pertinent point!  Sending our children to government schools is akin to our military sending new troops to be trained in Taliban boot camps.

It is easy to read conservative blogs and commentaries and find constant criticism of the acts of our government.  Only someone indoctrinated in that government’s pagan seminaries (2) cannot grasp the inseparable connection.  That is why we have our current president and only a lesser evil (evil is still evil no matter the degree) Republican alternative.

Whatever the 2012 political wins may be, our country will be lost if we allow our obvious enemy to control the hearts and minds of our children.  A dose of Sunday school and a supplement of family devotions will not overcome nearly 40 hours per week of propaganda. WE MUST RESCUE OUR CHILDREN! (3)

Time travel - Education in America…

There has been a war of worldviews taking place in this country that began before you and I were born. Exactly when it began is a matter for debate. However, in the last half of the 20th Century there are battles that are as important and instructive as retrospectives on Antietam or the Battle of Midway. Unlike wars like the Civil War and WWII, the war of worldviews continues to rage in this country and around the world. Territories are taken and lost but as long as mankind lives, the war will continue.

Tebow Scores One For Christianity.

The liberal media regards expressing one's Christianity publicly as repulsive as showing Dracula the cross.

 

For those of you who do not follow football, former college football quarterback superstar, Tim Tebow is an outspoken Christian. The liberal media and pro abortion groups were furious when the story of how Tebow's pro-life mom was advised by doctors to abort him, but refused, was featured in a Super Bowl commercial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLds7Xcs0-w

 

Tebow is now a pro football rookie quarterback with the Denver Broncos. Some sports analysts and media say Tebow does not have the skills needed to “make it” in the NFL. While some of the naysayers and criticism may be justified, some desire to see Tebow fail because he is so outspoken regarding his Christian faith.

 

My doc says exercise helps control my diabetes. That Sunday, I was at the gym on the ellipse machine watching the Denver/Miami NFL football game. It was Tebow's first start as a pro.

 

An elderly husband and wife couple approached the aerobic section. They visually scanned the bank of TV sets. I suspected they were looking for the Tebow game. I was correct.

 

I asked, “Are you folks Tebow fans?” They smiled and replied, “Yes” I said, “So am I”. The woman said, “Thank you”. Something in her voice told me their support of Tebow extended beyond football. I suspect millions across America share similar feelings about Tebow.

 

Rather than giving you a play by play of the game, let's say for 95% of the game, Tebow's performance was unimpressive. Miami was beating Denver 15 to zero. Then, with 2 minutes left in the game, Tebow brought his team back to tie the score. Tebow's team won the game in overtime. Wow!

 

When interviewed after the game about his amazing comeback and win, Tebow said the last thing I am sure the liberal media wanted to hear, “First, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...”

 

Folks, I yelled, “Yes!” and felt a little tearful.

 

Please do not get me wrong. I am not suggesting Tim Tebow walks on water. I am saying that in our culture which celebrates crudeness and the lowest common denominator, it is extremely refreshing to see this young man boldly standing up for traditional wholesome principles and values.

 

Unquestionably, the American left has launched a war against Christianity. We are lectured and threatened with political correctness to respect every religion under the sun except Christianity.

It is open season on trashing Christians in movies, political interviews and etc. The Christian is portrayed as the nut job, the loser or the nerd.

 

Rumor has it, Tebow is an extremely hard worker and a born leader; sounds similar to a fire ball from Wasilla Alaska who is also despised in the liberal media for similar reasons.

 

Be prepared for an all out campaign by the left, throughout his pro football career, to destroy and discredit Tim Tebow.

 

Thus far, Tebow has done three things to infuriate the left and secure his name permanent residency on their excrement list. First, Tebow dodged being aborted and went public with his story. Second, Tebow won his first game in the NFL and publicly thanked Jesus for it. Dem there is fightin' words to the left! Third, without being intentionally political, Tebow's life promotes Conservatism.

 

Culturally, we have fallen a long way from President Reagan declaring a national Year of the Bible. Such a proclamation would be impossible today. Tebow publicly thanking Jesus in a secular setting is deemed fanatical by liberal media standards in America today.

 

And why is the left so angry and threatened by Tebow's mom's decision not to kill him?

 

Congratulations Tim Tebow on your super NFL debut. Millions are praying for you. And thanks for scoring one for us Christians.
