Liberals Don't Want Brothers & Badges Together! Video
I've promoted a police/community unity alliance known as, " Brothers & Badges Together ( BABT ) " for years against official resistance in Democrat-led cities where I've lived.
Unlike usual " Blame The Po-lice ( street pronunciation ) " programs, BABT is a radical departure from the oppositional stance most Black male initiatives have toward law enforcement, and visa versa.
National organizations like Mad Dads; Concerned Black Men, founded by five Black police officers and the Detroit 300 are inspiring examples to the contrary.
Inner city culture breeds police hatred as ethnic identity, which fuels the volume of brutality complaints; officer-involved shootings; police injury and death as very defensive men out of uniform confront very defensive men in uniform or working plain clothes.
The field interview is NOT the place where all this mutual hostility should be expressed.
One would think Democrats where I've lived would jump at such a chance to unite the two most explosive elements in American public safety.
They've uniformly opposed this proposal because law abiding Black men working beside cops to end inner city police hatred makes us more than mute statistics they use for votes and budget inflation.
Liberals don't really see Black men as Americans who can be leaders in public/private partnerships combating urban crime.
We can be police officers; supervisors and even chiefs, so long as we work under their command, then and only then are liberals comfortable.
Any sign of independent Black male leadership in crime prevention runs afoul of their core belief that we can't govern ourselves and thus need liberal oversight to function in society.
Their refusal represents the last frontier of racism in American public safety, as Black America's " friends "actively maintain the deadly impasse between police and Black men in high crime areas.
Until Black men demand their place as partners with police in saving our crime-ridden communities, disinterested Democrats and liberals continue being the only ones who benefit from this sad state of affairs.
Police don't benefit and law abiding Black men shut out by the Left definitely don't benefit from this arrogant game played on them by city halls across America!
