A liberal friend of mine blames the failure of the ACA along with its creation on Romney, Bob Dole and The Heritage Foundation. Preposterous but typical. It is this type of denial and lies that need to be stopped. As an American, I will not be tread upon and I will call out these false statements publicly.The more important question is how have we allowed this mindset to be instilled in our fellow Americans and more importantly how can we convince them that it is fundamentally wrong?
It is a truism that "No one is blinder than he who will not see" and "a thief sees all men as thieves and a liar believes all men lie." Our nation has been indoctrinated for decades that morals are subjective and that there is no ultimate truth. We have seen the instant unbridled pleasures offered to us through our freedoms and have forgotten our past and what got us here. We are a greedy people and demand that someone else do the providing. It will be most difficult, if not impossible, to change this worldview quickly.
Frankly, I don't care if it was Romney, Dole, and/or the Heritage Foundation. History will uncover the truth behind who created it. What remains true is that the ACA is an abysmal fraud being prodded down the path by people who passed it without reading it, marketed it with outright lies, and dismiss the fact that it will further the looming inevitable economic demise of this nation. Anyone can verify what the premiums will be and understand that the poor, even with my taxpayer contributed subsidy, will not be able to afford it. Simply ask them who is doing this to us now, right this minute? Is it the Tea Party that is at fault today or is it the Left? Right now the decisions we make, the line we draw, the depth of our passions and convictions will define the future of this nation forever. Now is what is important. Now is the crisis.
I'll take the blame for the ACA for now. Lay it squarely on my shoulders. I was uninformed. I didn't fight its passage. I brought this on America. I will be content to sit in prison for my crime of negligence until we identify and agree on the creators. Let's fix my crime by killing this awful thing together, liberals and conservatives alike. Even Barry's staunchest supporters are bailing on him. The issue and the time to strike is now.
