Glenn Beck Under Attack - Out-Of-Context Video Clip Falsely Promoted As Call To Violence

Another day, another bearing of false witness, another disturbingly dishonest targeting of Glenn Beck, by radical leftists (progressives, Communists, socialists...call them what you will), raises its ugly head.

Blogger Patterico noted that leftists have extracted a video clip from one of Glenn Beck's TV shows on FNC last June, cutting the video to make it appear as if Glenn Beck was calling on his supporters to 'shoot them in the head,' when in fact, he was warning about the nature of the American Radical Left (Van Jones, Bill Ayers, Frances Fox Piven, George Soros, Andy Stern), and how dangerous it was for Democrats to use them to gain power. Glenn was saying precisely the opposite of what the left portrays. Before I continue, let me remind the left of the commandments of God:

Exodus 20:16
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Now here's the key segment of Becks' monologue from the transcript:

But what the politicians don't understand, the ones who have co-opted these revolutionaries and brought them in the process, is they are dangerous. Why? Why? Well, because a lot of them have called for violent revolution in the past and they never distanced themselves from it....

...Tea parties believe in small government. We believe in returning to the principles of our Founding Fathers. We respect them. We revere them. Shoot me in the head before I stop talking about the Founders. Shoot me in the head if you try to change our government.

I will stand against you and so will millions of others. We believe in something. You in the media and most in Washington don't. The radicals that you and Washington have co-opted and brought in wearing sheep's clothing — change the pose. You will get the ends.

You've been using them? They believe in communism. They believe and have called for a revolution. You're going to have to shoot them in the head. But warning, they may shoot you.

They are dangerous because they believe. Karl Marx is their George Washington. You will never change their mind. And if they feel you have lied to them — they're revolutionaries. Nancy Pelosi, those are the people you should be worried about.

Here is my advice when you're dealing with people who believe in something that strongly — you take them seriously. You listen to their words and you believe that they will follow up with what they say.

Didn't we learn that lesson from Usama bin Laden? I heard his warning in 1998. I said on the air at the time, listen to him. We didn't listen. We didn't listen to the revolutionaries in Germany, the revolutionaries in Russia or Venezuela or Cuba — no, no, no. They all have one thing in common. They have all called for revolution.

They want to overthrow our entire system of government, and their words say it. Why won't you believe it?

Here's the out-of-context video clip being promoted as proof that Glenn Beck is calling for gun violence:

The dishonesty is pretty maddening. As a Christian (like Glenn Beck, I'm a member of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, AKA The Mormons), and I thank God, The Eternal Father, in the Holy Name of His Son, the Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, who is my Savior, for the gift of sacred scripture contained in The Holy Bible (we prefer the King James Version). The Teachings of Jesus Christ contained therein serve as bedrock foundation, whereupon if we build, the rains and storm may beat upon us, severely, but our house will remain standing:

--------

Matthew 26:52
Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Romans 12:19
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord

Galatians 5:14
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

The fact of the matter is that Glenn has routinely, and with conviction, publicly declared his opposition to attempts to influence the government using violence. The only people on the political scene here in America who have the slightest bit of influence, who have openly advocated for violent revolution, or violence as a means to an end, are friends and allies of the Obama Regime (and many suspect, covertly, the Obama Regime itself): Van Jones, Bill Ayers, Frances Fox Piven, Andy Stern, Reverend Wright, and others.

The dishonest hatchet job of a character attack against Glenn Beck we're discussing is unquestionably a case of the dirty, soot-covered cast-iron pot calling the freshly-polished, gleaming stainless steel kettle (with a shiny copper bottom) 'black.'
