Louie Gohmert (R-TX) says the Republican Party will lose every national election in the future... if President Trump’s central campaign promise, a border wall, is not funded by the end of the year. In an exclusive interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Tonight, Gohmert told Senior Editors-at-Large Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak that the GOP must approve $25 billion in border wall funding to stop soaring illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border or risk losing every election “from now on.”There were much better times to pass wall funding then now, but now we’re in a corner. We either do it now, or we’re probably going to lose the elections you know in two years, in four years after that, in eight years after that. We’re going to be losing elections from now on. There were better times, but now it is absolutely essential that we fix this problem now. As Breitbart News reported, Trump is only pushing for a fifth of border wall funding — about $5 billion — though that funding is tied to a slew of open borders provisions and big business lobby giveaways for more cheap labor importation to the U.S. ....

Politico Cites Anonymous ‘Ex-CIA Agent’ in Report Manafort-Assange Story Was Russia Disinformation

{aim.org} ~ As the Guardian’s scoop alleging Paul Manafort visited Julian Assange three times in the Ecuadoran embassy in London appeared to fall apart... Politico published a story that suggested the reporters involved were pranked by someone who wanted to discredit their work on Russia collusion. The piece was written by Alex Finley, which, according to Politico,” is the pen name of a former CIA officer and author of “Victor in the Rubble,” a satire of the CIA and the war on terror.” If it was true that Manafort, who briefly served as President Trump’s campaign manager, visited Assange, “the ramifications are immense,” Finley wrote. “It means the guy running Trump’s campaign met directly with the head of the organization that served as a tool of Russia’s intelligence services, distributing stolen Democratic emails in an effort to influence the U.S. presidential election. It could be the proverbial smoking gun that shows Trump’s campaign knew it was receiving help from Russian intelligence services and perhaps even aided the operation.” Reporters Luke Harding and Dan Collyns relied entirely on anonymous sources. They also said they saw an internal document from Ecuador’s intelligence service that lists “Paul Manaford” as a frequent visitor to the embassy. 60 Minutes Misleads on Border Enforcement

{aim.org} ~ CBS News ran a misleading “60 Minutes” segment attacking the Trump administration’s border enforcement efforts... CBS’ 60 Minutes pushed a false narrative that separating families at the border was a policy put in place by the Trump Administration, when in fact, at least two previous administrations have held children separately from illegal immigrant adults under some circumstances. “60 Minutes irresponsibly aired flawed reporting, which displayed disregard for the truth and a fundamental misunderstanding of our nation’s immigration system and the Administration’s zero-tolerance policy for prosecuting illegal border crossers,” said Katie Waldman, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security in a press statement. “DHS chose not to participate in the taping of this hit piece as it was clear from the start this was an agenda-driven work of revisionist fiction. The piece inaccurately conflated the responsibilities of the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services — the former apprehends illegal aliens including minors for illegal acts and the latter is responsible for care and custody of unaccompanied alien minors. The 60 Minutes piece misled viewers and didn’t convey properly the fact that the Trump Administration followed the same practices followed in the past, that adults and minors were separated in cases where the adult posed a danger to the child or the adult was being prosecuted for a crime and transferred to a facility not appropriate for the child. “Additionally, 60 Minutes was complicit in allowing one interviewee to peddle absurd fabrications about the actions of the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol as they carried out the Administration’s zero-tolerance policy,” Waldman continued. “The best 60 Minutes could do to support its inaccurate story was to include commentary from a disgruntled former DHS employee and agenda-driven political appointees from the last administration. https://www.aim.org/aim-column/60-minutes-misleads-on-border-enforcement/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=Daily%20Email%20Nov-29-2018&utm_medium=email.
White Leftists Dumb Down Language for Minoritiesby Political Editors: A recently released study conducted by two researchers from Yale and Princeton Universities found that white Democrat politicians dumb down their speech when addressing minorities — specifically blacks. On the other hand, the study found no language change when white Republicans spoke to minorities. Study authors Cydney Dupree and Susan Fiske were surprised by the results, noting, “It was really surprising to see that for nearly three decades, Democratic presidential candidates have been engaging in this predicted behavior.”
The researchers further studied the speech of white liberals and conservatives when addressing minority individuals. Again, the researchers found that white liberals engage in a “competence downshift” in their language, whereas white conservatives did not. Dupree noted the uncomfortable irony, stating, “It was kind of an unpleasant surprise to see this subtle but persistent effect. Even if it’s ultimately well-intentioned, it could be seen as patronizing.” It most certainly could.
Brandon Morse of RedState observed, “We often hear from social justice adherents that we carry an implicit bias toward people of other races, and then immediately point to anyone other than themselves. Now we see why. On average, the white left is guilty of believing minority individuals are of lower intelligence than they are and dumb down their speech in order to feel like they’re being kinder to them by doing so.”
The Left’s insistence of playing identity politics leads to the inevitable classification of everyone by some basic shared group dynamics, including and especially race. Conservatives, by contrast, elevate the individual over the collective group dynamic and therefore are less inclined to judge others simply by group identity. Without even realizing it, “woke” leftists are the ones most guilty of perpetrating the very racial stereotypes they so vehemently condemn.
As a final thought: To the extent that minorities do lag behind whites in education, leftists can look in the mirror there too. Democrats running the nation’s cities keep blacks in failing schools for a reason. ~The Patriot Post
