{ foxnews.com } ~ President Trump ordered a game-changing U.S. military attack that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' elite Quds Force...among other military officials at Baghdad  International Airport early Friday, the Pentagon confirmed. Soleimani is the military mastermind whom Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had deemed equally as dangerous as Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. In October, Baghdadi killed himself during a U.S. raid on a compound in northwest Syria, seven months after the so-called ISIS "caliphate" crumbled as the terrorist group lost its final swath of Syrian territory in March. Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif tweeted after the attack "The US' act of international terrorism, targeting & assassinating General Soleimani—THE most effective force fighting Daesh (ISIS), Al Nusrah, Al Qaeda et al—is extremely dangerous & a foolish escalation." He added that the U.S. "bears responsibility for all consequences of its rogue adventurism."In April 2019, the State Department announced Iran was responsible for killing 608 U.S. troops during the Iraq War. Soleimani was the head of the Iranian and Iranian-backed forces carrying out those operations killing American troops. According to the State Department, 17 percent of all deaths of U.S. personnel in Iraq from 2003 to 2011 were orchestrated by Soleimani. As recently as 2015, a travel ban and United Nations Security Council resolutions had barred Soleimani from leaving Iran. Friday's Baghdad strike also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iran-backed militias known as the Popular Mobilization Forces, a source told Fox News. In all, at least seven people were killed and at least three rockets were fired, officials told The Associated Press. An official with the Popular Mobilization Forces said its airport protocol officer, Mohammed Reda, also died...  https://www.foxnews.com/world/rockets-baghdad-airport-injuries-reported

Iran Can No Longer Rely on
Shia Militias to Fight its Wars

{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ The intense pressure Iran is facing over its continued meddling in Iraq is the key factor behind the recent upsurge of violence in the Middle East that has resulted... in American warplanes carrying out their biggest attack in a decade on Iran-backed militias. Ever since the ayatollahs came to power more than 40 years ago, they have sought to distract attention away from their domestic unpopularity by getting Iran-backed Shia militias to carry out high profile attacks. From the devastating car bomb attacks the Iranian-backed Hizbollah militia carried out against American bases in Beirut in the 1980s to the more recent attacks on Saudi Arabia's Aramco oil facilities in October 2019, the Iranian regime has repeatedly used its proxy Shia militias to great effect to distract attention away from its domestic travails. The beauty of this arrangement, so far as the ayatollahs are concerned, is that, by relying on Shia militias to do their dirty work, whether it is firing missiles at Israel or carrying out assassinations in Europe, Tehran is able to deny any involvement in wrongdoing. No longer. By launching a series of air strikes against Iranian-backed militias in Iraq and Syria on Sunday night, the Trump administration has made it abundantly clear that it will no longer tolerate Tehran's denials of its involvement in attacks against the US and its allies. Moreover, after Washington accused Iran of being responsible for the subsequent attacks against the US Embassy in Baghdad that followed the air strikes, Tehran is risking a direct military confrontation with the US if it persists with the underhand tactic of employing proxies to carry out attacks on its behalf...   https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/15368/iran-shia-militias-iraq

{ theconservativetreehouse.com } ~ The 2020 Davos economic conference will be a little more important to watch this year as it was in 2017 due to the completed U.S. Trade Agreements S Korea, Japan, Mexico, Canada, and China... and the predicted focus for the Trump administration to pivot from Asia to the EU and U.K. for the next critical phase of the ‘America-First’ global trade reset. As a result of the recent U.K. election, pending Brexit, a favorable $7.5 billion WTO ruling and USTR Lighthizer’s new $2.4 billion EU targeted tariff program, the administration has significant advantages going into a trade discussion with the EU in 2020. Team USA has the world’s strongest economy, the largest market, legally bolstered tariff authority and a quiver full of powerful economic arrows. Meanwhile Team EU has: (1) the UK leaving; (2) severe drops in German industrial manufacturing; (3) a shrinking French economy; (4) yellow-vests in the streets; and (5) demands for greater economic autonomy from many key member states. Overlay Germany, France and Italy large economy challenges such as: their promise to meet NATO obligations – and their attachment to the strangling Paris Climate Treaty, and the EU’s collective economic position is precarious at best...   https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2020/01/01/president-trump-announces-delegation-for-davos-worldwide-economic-forum-conference/

{ thefederalist.com } ~ You can tell that the scumbag/liar-nObama administration’s legacy in the Middle East is in danger because the media, as the self-appointed janitors of that legacy, have gone into overdrive obfuscating the timing... context, and significance of this week’s attack on the United States embassy in Baghdad. Although President Donald Trump has gone a long way to dismantling scumbag/liar-nObama’s legacy in the region, much more remains to be done, including a halt to American taxpayer money that has been flowing into Iranian-controlled governments in Iraq and Lebanon.  Earlier this week Iran-backed militias stormed the U.S. embassy in Baghdad, chanting “Down, down USA!” and hurling water bottles and smashing security cameras. The attackers breached parts of the embassy and were only disbursed the next day, after Trump deployed Marines to ensure the safety of our embassy personnel and property. The attacks have been building for months, including roughly a dozen attacks on U.S. assets by these militias and American retaliatory strikes against five locations in Iraq and Syria belonging to the Iranian-backed Kata’ib Hezbollah. The group represents an ongoing replication of the “Islamic revolutionary model” that Iran first “exported” to and “perfected” in Lebanon in the early 1980s.  The New York Times has labeled the attackers “mourners” responding to the U.S. strikes, while the front page of the first Washington Post edition of 2020 labeled them “protesters.” The latter is a particularly pernicious mislabeling. The media has done its best to conflate the attacks with anti-Iran protests that have been happening across Iraq for the last three months, but of course those actual protesters are pro-Iraqi sovereignty demonstrators fed up with the corruption and the broad perception that the Iraqi government is controlled by Iran. Confirming exactly that accusation, the Iraqi government has repeatedly attacked the anti-Iran protesters, killing hundreds and wounding thousands, while giving a free pass and ready access to the Iran-backed fighters who stormed our embassy. The media’s goal is to characterize the protests as a wholesale rejection of Trump’s policies in the region, hence the wall-to-wall disinformation about mourning and protesting. What’s actually at stake is scumbag/liar-nObama’s legacy. The Iran Deal was a bargain in which Iran would be handed control over the Middle East in exchange for some temporary limitations on nuclear activities...

Climate Predictions – Doubling Down on Stupid

{ americanthinker.com } ~ If the “science is settled” regarding global warming, climate change, extreme weather, or whatever it goes by these days, why are past predictions not more accurate?...Weather forecasting, although frequently off the mark, is usually fairly accurate. If snow is predicted, it typically falls. It may be a few inches more or less than predicted but it isn’t sunny and 80 degrees on a day a major snowstorm is forecast. Yet climate, which is a longer-term measure of weather, cannot be predicted with any more accuracy than flipping a coin or throwing dice. Let’s look at some past predictions. Almost twenty years ago, in 2004, the Guardian reported what U.S. defense officials at the Pentagon warned about the future climate: Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters. A secret report, suppressed by US defense chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world. The document predicts that abrupt climate change could bring the planet to the edge of anarchy as countries develop a nuclear threat to defend and secure dwindling food, water and energy supplies.  The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of terrorism, say the few experts privy to its contents. As 2020 has just arrived, let’s see how those predictions turned out. For New Year’s Day, London is predicted to have a high of 46 degrees. While in Novosibirsk, the largest city in Siberia, the New Year’s Day high was only 23 degrees. So much for “Britain is plunged into a Siberian climate by 2020.” London was Siberia at one time, but 200 years ago. Remember the snow and ice in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol? “Dickens grew up during the coldest years of the Little Ice Age, between 1805 to 1820.”...  https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2020/01/_climate_predictions__doubling_down_on_stupid.html
One Barack scumbag/liar-nObama Deep state

by renewedright.com ~ Barack scumbag/liar-nObama and his Deep State allies are still shielding their co-conspirators from criminal prosecution. The scumbag/liar-nObama Deep State is desperate to prevent the American people from knowing... the extent of the crimes committed against Donald Trump in the 2016 election. And one Barack scumbag/liar-nObama Deep state cover up is even worse than you think. Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the FBI spying on the Trump campaign found 17 significant errors and omissions by the FBI in applications for FISA warrants to spy on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page. The FISA court pretended to be outraged, but in reality is trying to continue the cover up by only ordering a review of FISA applications by a FBI lawyer accused of doctoring evidence, and not reassessing all FISA warrant applications by every FBI agent named in the report. Earlier this month, the secretive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) ordered the FBI to re-verify all previous warrant applications involving the FBI attorney who falsified evidence against the former Trump campaign aide Carter Page. However, Fox News has learned the court did not order the FBI to double-check warrant applications involving other officials who made key omissions and errors in warrant applications as the bureau sought to surveil Page. The FISC’s failure to request a comprehensive evaluation of previous submissions has stunned court-watchers who have questioned whether enough is being done to deter future misconduct by the FBI. In the past, the FISC has gone so far as to prohibit some FBI agents from appearing before the court after finding impropriety. In response to Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s recent report into FBI surveillance abuses, FBI Director Christopher Wray has claimed that the agency “embraces the need for thoughtful, meaningful remedial action.” Congressional Republicans, however, remain unconvinced that the bureau will solve the problem on its own...

scumbag-James Comey
The 21st Century's Benedict Arnold
By John Leonard
{ americanthinker.com } ~ When I was a child, history was my favorite subject. I even took enough elective history classes at the collegiate level to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in history and political science (pre-law)... I changed my major to business after watching Al Pacino overact while portraying a criminal defense attorney in the movie And Justice for All. I probably ought to write Mr. Pacino a letter thanking him for crushing my naïve fantasy of becoming a real-life Perry Mason. I should also thank God that Al Pacino never played the part of a software developer or a writer, because he probably would have killed any future interest in those professions as well. The only safe career for me might have been as a sanitation worker. If you've never seen the docudrama Turn, about General Washington's spies during the Revolutionary War, it is well worth the time to binge-watch and appreciate what America was like before it became the beacon of freedom and hope that I've been blessed and privileged to call home for my entire lifetime. I can virtually guarantee that everyone will learn something about the origin of our country they either never knew or had forgotten as some obscure footnote of history. For example, I clearly remembered that General Benedict Arnold was widely considered the most notorious traitor in U.S. history, but I couldn't remember specifically what he had done to betray General Washington and the Continental Army he negotiated to sell a map of our defenses at West Point to spymaster Major John Andre of the British Army or why the previously distinguished military hero would have done such a despicable deed. If Benedict Arnold hadn't escaped to England, he would have been hanged as a traitor. This makes for a nice segue to scumbag-James Comey, former FBI director and one of the lead conspirators in the plot to overthrow the presidency of Donald Trump. At minimum, scumbag-James Comey is guilty of sedition. If there was a crime like perjury for repeatedly lying through the mainstream media to the American people about a criminal conspiracy to overthrow our elected government, scumbag-Comey would probably get locked in a cell for the rest of his miserable life. Instead, this disgraceful excuse for a human being has thus far been rewarded for his treachery  with a multimillion-dollar deal to write a book irony alert! on loyalty. And if that isn't bad enough, the Washington Post just published one of the most disgusting "opinion" pieces in recent memory, authored by this disgraceful excuse for a former FBI director, in which he whines about being the target of Donald Trump's wrath while making absurd and audacious claims such as "Foreign leaders laugh at him and throw his letters in the trash." Yes, we've all seen the video of Macron and Trudeau laughing and making jokes at Trump's expense. Serious question: who cares what Macron or Trudeau thinks?...

The Trump Administration's Record

Nate Jackson:  The new year is always a good time to reflect on blessings of the past and hope for the future. In that spirit, here’s a highlight reel of good stuff resulting from the Trump administration’s policy achievements.

  • Jobs are plentiful. The White House says seven million jobs have been created since Donald Trump’s election. Record numbers of Americans are employed, and wages are rising as employers compete for workers. The headline unemployment rate is at its lowest in 50 years, with minorities in particular enjoying the fruits of this labor.

  • The stock market has continued to break records, yielding benefits for the investment and retirement accounts of more than half of all Americans. The Dow Jones average rose 22% in 2019, while the S&P was up 29% and the NASDAQ climbed 35%. When Trump was elected, the market was pretty volatile, and New York Times economist Paul Krugman predicted, “If the question is when markets will recover, a first-pass answer is never.” Boy was he ever wrong.

  • Consumer optimism is reflected in year-end retail sales. Gary Bauer notes, “Retail sales surged 3.4% over last year, led by record online spending. The period between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a critical time for the economy. According to Reuters, sales during these few weeks can account for up to 40% of all annual sales for many retailers.”

  • Regulations reduced. Economic growth comes when government gets out of the way, contrary to the “stimulus” philosophy of the last administration. The White House says, “Since taking office, President Trump has rolled back nearly 8 regulations for every new one, saving American taxpayers more than $50 billion in the process — with bigger savings still to come.” That includes rolling back a lot of his predecessor’s environmental controls. The Daily Caller reports that Trump “nixed nearly 100 environmental regulations during his first three years in office.”

  • Not only has Trump cut red tape, he’s been slow to add new regulations. According to The Washington Times, “The Trump administration issued the fewest new regulations during 2019 than in any year since the government began keeping track more than four decades ago.” All three of the lowest regulation totals belong to President Trump.

  • Judicial appointments. Not all of Trump’s success has been economic. An astounding 20% of the federal judiciary is now composed of Trump appointments after the Republican-controlled Senate has confirmed 187 of his nominees. For the pace of that success, Republicans at least owe a wink and nod to former Democrat Senate Leader Harry Reid, who nuked the filibuster for judges in 2013. Judges were a big reason for millions of conservative votes in 2016, and Trump has delivered.

  • Defeating terrorists. After Barack scumbag/liar-nObama fomented the rise of the Islamic State, Trump has spent three years fighting back. It hasn’t been free of controversy, but it’s hard to argue with success like the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.

  • Other gains include military funding and rebuilding, immigration policy, and — we hope — trade.

Not bad for a guy Democrats have been hell-bent on impeaching. Meanwhile, 2020 is, of course, an election year and Americans will choose whether or not they want to stay this positive course.

  • finding out the myriad of items Obama did to this country is mind blowing but not surprising.

i find that one of the major issues we have is our schools.  the libs teaching our kids is a disaster and we have to do the job way before they get a hold of them.  no history of America or the us constitution are taught nor is capitalism .  the fantasy of marxism is taught and it is very destructive.

bk to obama  the disasters he did thank God pres Trump is un-doing and will be re-elected in 2020
