Gohmert says we need to see it because Mueller is “so far off the farm.” Pointing to the statute that Mueller is using to attempt to intimidate Manafort contacts into silence, Gohmert says, “It’s ridiculous. It’s the kind of thing that a bully, a blowhard, a mean guy, all of which Mueller is, would use to try to intimidate people.” He says, “We’re told ‘gee, the witness seems a little scared after getting a message from Manafort.'” He says he doesn’t know Manafort and probably wouldn’t want to hang around with him, “but the fact is Mueller is a bully and any innocent person in America has got to be scared as long as Mueller has any law enforcement authority. The investigation, published Wednesday by the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, further discloses secret efforts by top liar-nObama administration officials to assure European countries they would receive a pass from U.S. sanctions if they engaged in business with Iran. The findings confirm earlier reports by the Washington  Free Beacon surrounding efforts by the liar-nObama administration to go above and beyond the terms of the landmark nuclear deal to appease Iran and grant it billions in hard currency, as well as access to the U.S  financial system, despite multiple assurances to Congress this was not the case. Congressional investigators have now confirmed that the liar-nObama administration ordered the Treasury Department to issue a secret license granting Iran access to the U.S. financial system and American dollar...

IDF claims she was ‘no angel’

{ timesofisrael.com } ~ A top IDF general and spokesperson on Thursday said the Palestinian medic shot dead during clashes along the Gaza border last week... was “no angel of mercy,” as the army released a video purportedly showing the woman lobbing a smoke grenade toward Israeli forces. “Razan al-Najjar is not the angel of mercy Hamas propaganda is making her out to be,” IDF Arabic spokesman Avichay Adraee tweeted. The video was released two days after the army said an internal review had determined Najjar was not intentionally targeted by snipers, following international outcry over her death. U.N. Accused of Doctoring Video to Erase

 Leading Pro-Israel Speaker’s Credentials

{ freebeacon.com } ~ The United Nations is facing accusations it doctored an official video to remove all mention of a leading pro-Israel speaker's credentials ahead of a scathing speech... accusing the international organization of promoting anti-Semitism and hatred against Israel, the Washington Free Beacon has learned. Professor Anne Bayefsky, the director of the Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust and president of Human Rights Voices, was recently invited by the Israeli government to speak at an event at the U.N. on anti-Semitism and the harmful impact of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, or BDS, a global campaign to economically isolate the Jewish state that has widely been discredited as anti-Semitic in nature. Bayefsky specifically addressed anti-Semitism at the U.N. itself. Massive Mars discovery: Organic molecules 

'fundamental to our search for life' found by NASA rover

{ foxnews.com } ~ NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover has found organic molecules on Mars... the space agency revealed in a major announcement Thursday. During a press conference at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Goddard, Md., and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., scientists noted that the molecules provide fresh insight into the Red Planet. “We found organic molecules in rocks from an ancient lake bed,” explained Jen Eigenbrode, research scientist at Goddard. A variety of molecules were identified, she added. The rocks are billions of years old, according to NASA...

McConnell: Obstructing Dems to Blame for No Recess 

by Nate Jackson:  “Due to the historic obstruction by Senate Democrats of the president’s nominees, and the goal of passing appropriations bills prior to the end of the fiscal year, the August recess has been canceled,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday. “Senators should expect to remain in session in August to pass legislation, including appropriations bills, and to make additional progress on the president’s nominees.”

             Vacation was set to begin Aug. 3 and run through Labor Day, leaving just three weeks to complete appropriations work before the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30. That kind of last-minute scrambling is part of how we end up with lousy budgets like the omnibus passed in March. So McConnell did the right thing here by eliminating all but the first week of the break, and he’s in sync with President Donald Trump while doing it. “The Senate should get funding done before the August break, or NOT GO HOME,” Trump declared in May.
               As McConnell noted, appropriations bills aren’t the only problem. Democrats have vigorously obstructed Trump’s nominees. Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) observed, “We still have 271 nominations to confirm.”
               Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) took a strategic view, saying, “We have got a historic opportunity here. It is rare to have unified Republican control of the federal government. In the last hundred years, that has only happened four times. Since World War II, we have had a total of eight years with a Republican president and majorities in both houses. We can’t waste this opportunity.”
               The bad news is Republicans are quite adept at wasting opportunities.
               Finally, there’s the political angle. While just one Republican senator is seeking reelection in a state liar-Hillary Clinton won — Dean Heller in Nevada — 10 Democrats are trying to save their seats in states won by Trump. Gee, we wonder if McConnell was thinking about giving them less time on the campaign trail.
