{foxnews.com} ~ Senate Minority Leader Chuck clown-Schumer on Thursday called for an ethics probe of Sen. Al Franken in the wake of allegations... that he groped and kissed a Los Angeles TV host without her consent, as fellow Democrats on Capitol Hill condemned the Minnesota senator. “Sexual harassment is never acceptable and must not be tolerated,” clown-Schumer, D-N.Y. said in a statement Thursday. “I hope and expect that the Ethics Committee will fully investigate this troubling incident as they should with any credible allegation of sexual harassment.” Senate Majority Leader RINO-Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., first called for the ethics probe, and encouraged clown-Schumer to do the same... http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/11/16/schumer-calls-for-ethics-probe-al-franken-amid-groping-allegations.html

{foxnews.com} ~ A federal judge on Thursday declared a mistrial in the high-profile bribery case of New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez... after jurors twice reported they were hopelessly deadlocked. “There’s no alternative to declaring a mistrial,” U.S. District Court Judge William Walls said Thursday afternoon. The decision came after jurors said they could not reach a verdict. It was the second time this week the 12-member panel told Walls they could not come to a unanimous decision. "I think we have a for-real hung jury," Menendez attorney Abbe Lowell said before the judge issued his decision...Whats wrong with these jurors?  http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/11/16/judge-declares-mistrial-in-menendez-case.html

{wnd.com} ~ A prominent Swiss Muslim academic and grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood – now facing claims of rape by multiple female accusers... was banned in 2004 from entry into the U.S., but that order was lifted personally in 2010 by then-Secretary of State liar-Hillary Clinton. Tariq Ramadan, 55, currently a professor of contemporary Islamic studies at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, has been accused by three women within the last month, who have come forward to describe past sexual assaults, reported PJ Media. French writer Henda Ayari, 41, was the first to bring an accusation, saying she had been raped in 2012 at a Paris hotel and claiming that for Ramadan, “either you wear a veil or you get raped.” “He choked me so hard that I thought I was going to die,” she told Le Parisien... http://www.wnd.com/2017/11/banned-muslim-rape-suspect-personally-okd-to-enter-u-s-by-hillary/

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ House Republicans cleared the first major hurdle for tax reform Thursday by passing legislation that would overhaul the tax code for the first time in decades... and lower rates for individuals, corporations, and small businesses. “For the first time in 31 years, we are wiping the tax code clean and replacing it with one that is fairer and simpler for everyone,” Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., a member of the Ways and Means Committee who helped write the GOP plan, said. The House passed the bill in a 227-205 vote in which 13 Republicans voted against it. The GOP could have lost up to 22 members and still passed the bill...  http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/house-passes-tax-reform-puts-pressure-on-senate/article/2640916?utm_campaign=Washington%20Examiner:%20News%20Alert&utm_source=Washington%20Examiner:%20News%20Alert%20-%2011/16/17&utm_medium=email

Taxpayers Paid To Settle And
Cover Up Sexual Harassment By Congress

{rickwells.us} ~ The American taxpayers have paid out money in at least two sexual harassment cases in the period between 1997 and 2016... and the related information as to the parties involved is sealed. We aren’t allowed to know who was a perpetrator, what they did or how much their exploits cost us. That’s the information from Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) that she shared with lawmakers in Tuesday in a House hearing and on television. A fund through the general treasury covers not only sexual harassment but also discrimination settlements and the specifics of the types and particulars are not released publicly. In her House hearing Speier and Rep Barbara Comstock spoke of two instances where two lawmakers, one Republican and one Democrat, who are still serving, have engaged in sexual harassment. Speier talks about the complaint process and how interns and fellows, the most likely victims, are not even allowed to avail themselves of it...  https://rickwells.us/taxpayers-paid-sexual-congress/

COWBOYS & MADMEN
by Burt Prelutsky

This year, Texans won’t have a lot to be thankful on November 23rd. Between the hurricanes, the floods and, now, the heartbreaking massacre at the small church in Sutherland Springs, 2018 can’t arrive quickly enough for the Lone Star State.

In Israel, it’s said that every family has lost relatives or friends to the Islamic terrorists. In Sutherland Springs, a town of about 400, when 26 people are killed and another 20 are wounded, it’s even sadder and truer.

Although most of the attention has been paid to an evil son of a bitch named Devin Patrick Kelly, 26, with people trying to determine his motive, more attention should be paid to a couple of guys named Stephen Willeford and Johnny Langendorff. I’m sure neither man woke up that Sunday morning, had a cup of coffee, stretched and said, “I think I’m going to be a hero today.”  Sometimes it just works out that way.

Willeford is the man who saw Kelly shooting up the church and, instead of wasting time calling the cops, went straight for his gun. If Mr. Willeford hadn’t done that, God only knows how many more people would have died that day.  Instead, only one more person died…Devin Patrick Kelly.

If Langendorff hadn’t driven up when he did, Kelly might have gotten away or, at the very least, taken refuge in some family’s home and gotten into a gun battle with the Texas Rangers. But Langendorff did drive up and the two men set off at 85 miles-an-hour. A short time later, Kelly lost control on a curve. Rather than be captured, Kelly put a bullet in his own head.  If only he’d done it an hour earlier.

Predictably, the Democrats immediately started yammering about stricter gun laws. But, I think to most people, they sounded even more insipid than usual. For one thing, Kelly had purchased his guns legally. The problem is that after the Air Force court-martialed Kelly, sentenced him to a year in the brig for beating his wife and stepson and then booted his butt out of the Service, they neglected to mention any of this to the FBI. Had the Air Force done that one simple thing, Kelly would not have been allowed to purchase a gun.

On the other hand, the National Rifle Association has come out of it smelling like an entire rose garden. The NRA keeps talking about the hundreds of justifiable homicides that take place every year, testimonials to the good people, men and women, who protect their homes and their families from bad guys with guns. But they are drowned out by a media that is convinced the Second Amendment should be made null and void, and that guns should only be in the hands of cops…and, apparently, criminals.

But thanks to a Texan named Stephen Willeford who saw his duty and, thanks to being armed, was able to do it, the NRA has just gotten a billion dollars of publicity and, I wager, several hundred thousand new recruits.

● I realize that no matter what Donald Trump does or says, the Democrats and the lap dog press will condemn it.  But I think they, along with a few neutered Republicans, have made themselves look even more childish than usual by calling out President Trump for stating that Sayfullo Saipov should face the death penalty after mowing down eight people in New York City.

Since when did a U.S. president lose the protection of the First Amendment? Now if the Ayatollah Khomeini or Kim Jong-un says that sort of thing, the accused will be dead within the hour. But why shouldn’t Donald Trump be allowed to say what every other sane American is thinking?

Heck, Trump is the Commander-in-Chief and he couldn’t even persuade the Army to toss Bowe Bergdahl’s sorry butt in the brig for 40 or 50 years.

I’d also like to know why the President isn’t supposed to tell Attorney General Sessions and the Justice Department to investigate Hillary Clinton, the Podesta brothers, Susan Rice and Samantha Powers. Somebody obviously has to tell Jeff Sessions how to do his job, and it better be Trump because he’s the only person who can fire the prissy little incompetent.

● Who would have thought Jimmy Carter, of all people, would suddenly start making sense at this late date? It was Carter, a Democrat, who recently stated that Barack liar-nObama was a major disappointment. It was also Carter who said that in his lifetime no president has ever been treated as unfairly as Donald Trump.

On the other hand, Bush the elder and Bush the younger, not content with merely being mediocre presidents and irrelevant ex-presidents, decided that after eight years of biting their tongues while liar-nObama did everything humanly possible to destroy our economy, our military and our moral posture in the world, felt it incumbent to throw spitballs at Donald Trump.

The old Bush called Trump a blowhard. His son went him one better, insisting that Trump is such a disaster, he worried that he, George W. Bush, might be the last Republican ever elected president.

This is the man who spent eight years telling us what wonderful, peaceful people Muslims are, while at the same time those Islamic pacifists were killing and maiming thousands of American civilians in New York City, and our sons and daughters in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Frankly, if George W. Bush is the last RINO we ever elect to the Oval Office, it wouldn’t be such a terrible thing.

● I’m grateful that Fox exists, but I can only watch so much TV news in a single day.  These days, I’m limiting myself to Bret Baier’s Special Report and Tucker Carlson Tonight.

I understand that when Carlson has a liberal zealot on as a guest, it’s in order to best him in debate and make him like the blithering idiot he or she is. But until he installs a mute button in order to shut down the usual filibuster and force the guest to answer direct questions, it’s Carlson who comes across as inept. I feel so strongly about this, I have even sent a couple of emails to Fox, urging them to install the muting device.

I guess Mr. Carlson or his producer feels the talking over each other makes for must-see TV. But as I record everything I watch on the tube, in my case it makes for fast-forward-through-the-damn-segment TV.

● I don’t know exactly when we began to raise a variety of sacred cows in America, but I fear it may yet be the death of our culture.

It was most recently exemplified when Stephanie McKellop, a University of Pennsylvania teaching assistant admitted “I will always call on my black women students first, other people of color second, white women third and white men only as a last resort.”

By last resort, I gather she means when none of this teacher’s pets know the correct answer. Not too surprisingly, this form of bigotry isn’t limited to the Ivy League. On college campuses around the country, it’s taking place. They even have a name for it in academic circles.  It’s called progressive stacking.

It makes one wish that home schooling didn’t end with high school, but went clear up through graduate school.

● Perhaps, the area in which liberal madness is most clearly on display is in the area of immigration.

Imagine if you had been in a coma since 9/12/2001 and suddenly awoke to an America where not only cities, but entire states, have declared themselves not merely sanctuaries for illegal aliens, but in open defiance of federal law. I suspect Abe Lincoln would have known how to deal with that sort of resistance.

Then, while you were still rubbing your eyes and shaking your head, trying to clear away 16 years of cobwebs and trying to figure out how such a thing had come to pass, you got word that individual judges in places like Hawaii and Washington had decided they had the authority to prevent the President of the United States from banning immigrants even temporarily from terrorist states in the Middle East from entering the country.

The last straw probably would have been discovering that seven years after the 9/11 attack, America elected a president named Barack Hussein liar-nObama.

Suddenly, being in a coma might not seem like such a bad idea.

But at least that poor soul would have been spared 16 years of having to listen to the chowderheads constantly parroting “That’s not who we are as a people” and “We are a melting pot, a nation of immigrants.”

It’s high time people wised up to the fact that most of the people crossing our borders are not, as was the case with our ancestors, looking to become Americans.Tragically, assimilation is for millions of recent arrivals the very last thing on their minds.

I’m afraid the melting pot has melted.
