Levin: Chelsea liar-Clintion's Claim Roe
Boosted Economy is Cold Preposterous, Absolute Idiocy
{ rickwells.us } ~ Chelsea liar-Clinton’s claim that legalizing abortion boosted the U.S. economy isn’t just “very, very cold,” it’s “absolute idiocy,”... Levin said Wednesday on his nationally-syndicated radio show.  Levin was discussing a CNSNews.com report on recent comments made by the former First Daughter. On Saturday, liar-Clinton claimed that the “Roe v. Wade” decision legalizing abortion helped add three and a half trillion to the U.S. economy: It is not a disconnected fact – to address this t-shirt of 1973 – that American women entering the labor force from 1973 to 2009 added three and a half trillion dollars to our economy. Right? The net, new entrance of women – that is not disconnected from the fact that Roe became the law of the land in January of 1973...   https://rickwells.us/levin-clintons-roe-idiocy/

Just How Reliable Was Christopher Steele?

{ americanthinker.com } ~ The famous "dossier" on Donald Trump – supposedly compiled by British ex-MI6 spook Christopher Steele, acting as a contractor for Glenn Simpson and Fusion GPS, themselves contractors for the liar-Hillary Clinton campaign... "salacious and unverified" though it might have been, was "crucial" to the FBI's efforts to obtain  the original FISA on Carter Page as well as the three renewals of that FISA. That the "dossier" was "salacious and unverified" we have on the authority of disgraced former FBI director scumbag-James Comey, and that it was "crucial" to the Carter Page FISA is attested by the equally disgraced former deputy director and later acting director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe. In the Carter Page FISA application, the FBI presents material from the "dossier" without referencing it as an actual document. Rather, it presents material from the "dossier" as reporting provided by Christopher Steele as "Source #1." The concealing of source identities is usual in FISA applications. To make up for this secrecy in the interest of security, at least in theory, the FBI provides characterizations of its sources as well as specific facts that vouch for the reliability of the sources in question, to provide the FISC judge with a factual basis upon which to assess the case for granting a FISA order. Since we know the person who is supposed to have been behind the Carter Page FISA application, it seems reasonable to inquire: just how reliable was Christopher Steele? After all, if verification of the dossier was still "in its infancy" – i.e., it basically hadn't been verified at all – at the time the FISA application was submitted to the FISC, according to the FBI's top counter-intelligence official, Bill Priestap, then it follows that the reliability of the material presented in the application would stand or fall with the reliability of the source. So what does the FBI say in the application about Steele's reliability as a source?...

{ saraacarter.com } ~ In March, 2017, two days before former FBI Director scumbag-James Comey testified to lawmakers that the bureau had an open counterintelligence investigation into President Trump’s campaign... former British spy Christopher Steele sent an urgent message to Department of Justice official Bruce Ohr hoping that “important firewalls will hold” when scumbag-Comey testified. The text message from Steele, who compiled the infamous unverified dossier on Trump, was sent on March 18, 2017, to Ohr and obtained by SaraACarter.com from a government source, familiar with the ongoing investigation. Ohr was demoted twice by the Department of Justice for not disclosing that his wife, Nellie Ohr, worked for Fusion GPS, the now-embattled research firm which paid Steele for the documents. Ohr has been deposed for questioning by the House Judiciary Committee and is expected to speak to lawmakers behind closed doors on Aug. 28...   https://saraacarter.com/exclusive-steele-anxious-over-comey-testimony-hopes-firewalls-will-hold/

{ theconservativetreehouse.com } ~ The story of the jihadist training compound in New Mexico takes yet another weird turn today, as federal authorities removed the partially buried trailer... bulldozed a portion of the compound in the process, and yet left key evidence including: ammunition, a bullet proof vest, birth certificates and notebooks, laying around. This happens on the same day when the child’s corpse discovered within one of the terrorist tunnels was positively identified as the partially decomposed remains of 3-year-old Abdul-Ghani Wahhaj, the son of Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, who is alleged to have kidnapped the boy from Georgia in December....
Money for Nothing and the Rent’s for Free

{ spectator.org } ~ After debating rent control in Santa Monica on Monday with a leader of a liberal community group... I was left thinking about a great quotation from a famous left-wing Californian, author Upton Sinclair: “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” In this case, Santa Monica residents’ controlled rent depends on their not knowing the first thing about how economies work. Sinclair ran for governor in 1934 on the End Poverty In California (EPIC) platform. In the ensuing years, California progressives have grabbed control over every lever of power in the state. Lo and behold, poverty wasn’t ended. In fact, California has the highest poverty rate in the nation, when the Census Bureau takes cost of living into account. Liberal activists think they’re helping the poor, but if Proposition 10 passes in November, then those poverty rates will spread across the state as more municipalities embrace extreme forms of rent control. Recent reports suggest that Santa Monica, which has some of the toughest rent controls in the nation, also has the highest rents in the nation. Median home prices there have topped $1.7 million. Hey, how has rent control been working there so far?...

Good News: Deregulation Is Saving a Ton of Money

by Business Review Board:  We’ve noted President Donald Trump’s deregulatory efforts numerous times before, but a new report from the American Action Forum brings more good news. “With less than two months remaining in FY 2018, the Trump administration is well on its way to surpassing its regulatory budget goals,” said the report, which charts federal regulations.

Dan Bosch, the director of regulatory policy at the American Action Forum, added, “Collectively, executive agencies subject to a regulatory budget remain on pace to double the administration’s overall savings goal. On an individual basis, 12 of 22 agencies have already met or surpassed their savings target.” There’s always more to do, but those deregulation efforts are saving literally hundreds of millions of dollars in budget money. Investor’s Business Daily reports, “All told, the government aimed for savings of about $686.6 million from deregulation so far this year. Right now, the government has saved some $1.308 billion from 47 separate deregulation actions.” And that’s just the budget money saved, not the amount Americans save via the reduced regulatory burden.
