patriotnewsalerts.com } ~  On Tuesday, President Donald Trump announced his nomination to serve as the new deputy attorney general, Jeffrey Rosen... Rosenstein was expected to be gone by now. However, since Trump had not yet settled on a nominee to replace him, Rosenstein apparently agreed to stay on for longer than expected. As recently as last week, that was confirmed by officials in the Department of Justice. But now, it seems Trump has made a decision — and it should go off without a hitch. Indeed, Rosen shouldn’t have very much trouble being confirmed. He previously served President George W. Bush, and already serves Trump as his deputy secretary of Transportation. Still, Rosen will still have to go undergo fresh confirmation hearings in the Senate before he can claim his new role...

Fed investigation sought into
San Antonio 'bigotry'

by wnd.com:  The backlash against the San Antonio City Council’s vote to exclude Chick-fil-A from an airport contract because of its owners’ religious beliefs now includes a formal request for a federal investigation of the city... And the probe could impact the federal grants the city receives. The council recently approved a concession contract for its new airport on the condition that Chick-fil-A was excluded. Members accused the company of promoting an anti-LGBT agenda.  What the company actually has done is donate to groups such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Paul Anderson Youth Home and the Salvation Army that take seriously the Bible’s condemnation of homosexual behavior. The council’s 6-4 vote later brought an apology to Chick-fil-A from one council member and an inquiry by the local member of Congress. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and National Rifle Association spokeswoman Dan Loesch were among the critics of the council’s decision. It was council member Greg Brockhouse who apologized to Chick-fil-A, expressing how much he and other city residents value the company. Now, First Liberty Institute has sent a letter to Elaine Chao, the U.S. secretary of transportation, asking for an investigation into the council actions...   https://www.wnd.com/2019/03/fed-investigation-sought-into-san-antonio-bigotry/

jewishjournal.com } ~ A Chabad building that is under construction in Flagstaff, Ariz. was found with swastikas spray-painted and carved on it... The Arizona Daily Sun reports that the Chabad of Flagstaff’s Molly Blank Center’s construction site was broken into sometime between March 22 and 25; the perpetrators then painted swastikas on the  windows and carved the symbols on the walls. The perpetrators also knocked over cans of black paint onto the floor, damaged various power tools and placed plaster mud over some windows; authorities estimate the vandals caused more than $1,000 in property damage. Chabad Rabbi Dovie Shapiro and his wife Chaya said on the Chabad’s website, “This incident is a sad reminder of the discrimination and anti-Semitism that still exists among some people. While it’s alarming and very disturbing, it will not deter us – to the contrary this reinforces and motivates us more to do the important work we’re doing and continue teaching about unity and acceptance.” “We look forward to the day, God willing — not too far in the future — when construction will be complete, and we will open the doors of the new Molly Blank Jewish Community Center to be a welcoming place for all,” they added...

freebeacon.com } ~ Multiple Democratic offices on Capitol Hill have replaced their flags memorializing prisoners of war with transgender pride flags, the Washington Free Beacon has learned... The changes came at the urging of the National Center for Transgender Equality, which is delivering flags to congressional offices in advance of International Transgender Day of Visibility. Among the members to make the switch was Rep. Kim Schrier (D., Wash.), who replaced the POW flag she had displayed outside her office with a transgender pride flag. The first picture is of the outside of Schrier's office from a January Facebook post, while the second is from earlier this week. The name plates appear different because Schrier, who is a doctor, later had "M.D." added after her name.Schrier's office told the Washington Free Beacon that the POWMIA flag has not been removed permanently. "We were asked to fly the Transgender Equality flag by the National Center for Transgender Equality this week ahead of Transgender Visibility Day on Sunday," a spokesperson for the office said. "Our POWMIA flag has been in the Congresswoman's office this week. And will be back outside our office tomorrow." Staffers from the office of Rep. Pete Aguilar (D., Calif.) were spotted attempting to pull their office's POW flag out of its stand on Wednesday. A source told the Washington Free Beacon that Aguilar's office initially tried to remove the POW flag, was unsuccessful, then managed to remove it soon after... This is unforgivable to America heros.   https://freebeacon.com/politics/dem-offices-remove-pow-flags-replace-with-transgender-pride-flags/?utm_source=Freedom+Mail&utm_campaign=f485fff8dc-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_03_28_11_49_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-f485fff8dc-45611665

Political Editors:  Vice President Mike Pence spoke at the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee Policy Conference Monday, and he called out the Left’s growing anti-Semitism. It was clear by his comments that Pence was referring to freshman House Democrat Ilhan Omar (MN), whom the House failed to rebuke.

Here are some of Pence’s comments:

Now, my friends, we’ve reached a fateful moment in our history. All over the world, anti-Semitism is on the rise — on college campuses, in the marketplace, even in the halls of Congress…

Recently, a freshman Democrat in Congress trafficked in repeated anti-Semitic tropes; alleged congressional support for Israel reflected an “allegiance to a foreign country." Said that Israel had, and I quote, "hypnotized the world.” And she accused Americans who support Israel of being bought off by campaign contributions. Anti-Semitism has no place in the Congress of the United States of America…

As governor of Indiana, I was proud to sign the toughest anti-BDS legislation of any state in the Union. But remarkably, today, all but one Democrat running for president voted against the Combatting BDS Act in the United States Senate. And as I stand before you, eight Democratic candidates for president are actually boycotting this very conference.

So let me be clear on this point: Anyone who aspires to the highest office in the land should not be afraid to stand with the strongest supporters of Israel in America. It is wrong to boycott Israel, and it is wrong to boycott AIPAC.

Also appearing and speaking at AIPAC was Speaker Nancy Pulosi (D-CA), which was ironic given her recent failure to directly rebuke Omar over her repeated expressions of anti-Semitism. Pulosi sought to spin the record, however, claiming that “the full House came together to condemn the anti-Semitic myth of dual loyalty and all forms of bigotry.” Remember that “condemnation” was so harsh Omar herself voted for it. In any case, some have wondered if Pulosi’s appearance at AIPAC was designed to be a seen as a warning to Omar, but given the Democrats’ feckless leadership in combating the growing anti-Semitism within their own ranks, it hardly seems likely. Pulosi’s message seems aimed more at Jewish Democrats to assure them that Democrats still have their back. It remains to be seen if the message is believed.  ~The Patriot Post
