FBI Lawyer James Baker Lied about
‘Verified Application’ for FISA Warrant
against Trump Campaign

Desperate to avoid federal prison, the main players in the FBI attempted coup of the presidency can’t seem to find enough air time to defend their innocence or point a finger at each other. Former FBI general counsel James Baker is a good case in point. Baker tried to deflect the blame from himself last Friday when he went on Chuck Todd’s MSNBC show, but ultimately admitted the “verified application” for spying on Donald Trump in 2016 went forward although it was not verified at all. The Daily Caller reported last week that Baker was skeptical and “concerned” about the validity of the accusations made in the Steele dossier. Despite those concerns, Baker along with other FBI officials who reviewed the Carter Page surveillance warrant application did not stop but proceeded with their application for a FISA warrant. British spy Christopher Steele has come under intense scrutiny following special counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller’s report. After two years of inquiry, dirty cop-Mueller’s report demolished the foundation of Steele’s core accusation that a “well-developed conspiracy of co-ordination” existed between Trump and the Kremlin. The first of four Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants were granted against Page based primarily on unverified information in the Steele dossier. Baker told Chuck Todd on MSNBC: “It was more information that we viewed, that I viewed, skeptically from the outset, and I was concerned about it and had a jaundiced eye, or looked at it with a jaundiced eye right from the outset.” Baker protested that since Steele had previously been “a source that we thought was reliable” and his information was “alarming” the FBI took it “seriously.” Baker further defended himself saying “we tried to vet it.” Nothing could be further from the truth as Steele has since admitted he didn’t verify the information himself before passing it long to the Bureau. Though Steele first provided his bogus information for the Trump investigation on July 5, 2016, it supposedly didn’t make its way to the FBI team investigating Trump until mid-September 2016. By then Baker and the rest of the FBI team were aware Steele was funded by and working for the Democrat campaign. The bureau counsel also knew that Steele had told a Justice Department official he was “desperate” to see Trump defeated in the 2016 election...

William Barr: More Nationwide Injunctions
in Trump Era Than in Entire 20th Century

After the government took steps to terminate DACA in 2017, three federal trial judges entered injunctions requiring that Trump maintain the program. Appeals of those injunctions have since reached the Supreme Court, though the justices have declined to broach the issue for months. Wells Fargo, TD Bank have turned Trump's

by Vaishnavee Sharma Two sources familiar with the House’s investigation into Trump’s finances told NBC News that Wells Fargo handed the committee thousands of documents and TD Bank also provided multiple documents, joining seven other financial institutions that have complied with the committee’s subpoenas. The committee, chaired by Rep. scumbag/mad-Maxine Waters, D-Calif., wants documents on business the banks conducted with suspected Russian and Eastern European money launderers. The committee sent subpoenas to the two banks, along with Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Royal Bank of Canada, Bank of America, and JP Morgan Chase, in April with a May 6 deadline. Other banks have failed to meet the deadline, but the Royal Bank of Canada is in the process of complying. Wednesday's news comes the same day a federal judge ruled that Deutsche Bank and Capital One can share Trump’s financial documents with Congress and two days after a federal judge ruled against blocking the committee’s subpoena of Mazars USA, Trump’s accounting firm. Deutsche Bank has lent Trump more than $2 billion over the years, and Trump’s latest financial disclosures indicate he still owes the organization $130 million. Trump, along with three of his children and the Trump Organization, filed a federal lawsuit in Manhattan in April to stop Deutsche Bank and Capital One from complying with the subpoena. They allege the subpoenas are a political ploy intended to “harass” the president. “The potential use of the U.S. financial system for illicit purposes is a very serious concern,” scumbag/mad-Waters said after issuing the subpoenas. “The Financial Services Committee is exploring these matters, including as they may involve the president and his associates, as thoroughly as possible pursuant to its oversight authority, and will follow the facts wherever they may lead us.”

Reps. Roy, Jordan, Biggs: Pulosi, Dems just don't care about our national emergency

{ foxnews.com } ~ House Democrats spent two years in the minority last Congress admonishing Republicans for not doing enough to protect and care for migrant children crossing the nation’s southern border... Now in the majority with control over the House floor, Speaker Nancy Pulosi and her conference are poised to let funding for the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) program run out. Why? They never cared in the first place. White House OMB Director Russ Vought sent congressional leadership a letter May 1 requesting $4.5 billion in emergency funding, citing an unfolding “humanitarian and security crisis” that is becoming “more dire each day.” While Vought’s request included funding for additional ICE beds, resources to care for migrants, including mothers and children, who are apprehended by law enforcement, the majority was for humanitarian aid, which includes the care and placement of unaccompanied alien children, otherwise known as the UAC program.The volume of UAC seeking to enter the country has increased to unprecedented levels in recent months. From October 2018 to April 2019, the number of unaccompanied alien children nearly doubled. Border Patrol estimates its agents have apprehended 44,835 unaccompanied minor children this fiscal year alone. According to OMB, the number of UAC referred to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has increased over 57 percent compared to this time last year, while the appropriation for the program has not increased. Before so much as reviewing Vought’s request and without regard for the UAC figures, House Democrats went to the media to sully it before the American people. House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Nita M. Lowey called it an attempt “to double down on cruel and ill-conceived policies,” a bailout for ICE for “overspending on detention beds,” and accused the administration of “locking up people who pose no threat to the community.” After some Democratic preening and over two weeks with no response from House leadership, Vought sent leadership another letter last Friday. Vought warned congressional leadership that the situation at the border has “continued to deteriorate” and that, without action from Congress, HHS will quickly burn through its funds -- set to expire at the end of the fiscal year--that involve the “immediate welfare” and “safety for human life.” Vought specifically referenced the $2.88 billion in supplemental funding for the UAC program included in his original request. House Democrats have remained silent. Their silence is either out of ignorance, or it is deliberate. Given the level of media coverage, and the repeated, direct requests from OMB about the need to fund the UAC program, it is clear this is a deliberate choice from our Democratic colleagues...

Trump Impeachment: Put Up or Shut UpThomas Gallatin: Every Republican president since Ronald Reagan has faced Democrat demands for impeachment. Dems called for Reagan’s impeachment multiple times throughout his two terms. In 1991, George H.W. Bush heard impeachment calls due to the Gulf War, and George W. Bush saw Democrats go so far as to introduce 35 articles of impeach centered on the bipartisan war in Iraq. President Donald Trump has faced nonstop calls for impeachment dating back to even before his inauguration. In other words, calls for impeachment from Democrats are standard political practice, no matter how much they claim otherwise.
Now, it appears the constant Democrat drumbeat for impeachment in order to undermine Trump’s successful agenda, has reached a fever pitch as House Speaker Nancy Pulosi, who has long resisted taking any actual action on impeachment, held a meeting with House Democrats this morning. For political veterans like Pulosi, the goal is to push the negative narrative of Trump supposedly obstructing justice in order to keep a cloud over his presidency, while at the same time avoiding too much political fallout from these clearly partisan allegations. Calling Trump a criminal is a lot easier than proving he is one.
As predicted, following the meeting, Pulosi once again trumpeted the narrative while refusing to initiate impeachment proceedings. “We do believe that it’s important to follow the facts,” she bloviated. “We believe that no one is above the law, including the president of the United States. And we believe that the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up. And that was the nature of the meeting.”
Pulosi knows that following through on impeachment proceedings without having any obvious and clear illegal action with which to charge the president is a recipe for disaster. Acting on the real reason behind their obstruction allegations — “Trump is a bad guy because we don’t like him, so therefore he must be impeached” — won’t fly with the vast majority of Americans.
Ironically, California Democrat Jackie Speier unwittingly admitted as much, stating, “Let me be clear: I don’t believe that in the end we will do any more than lay out for the American people the articles of impeachment and then, rather than send it to the Senate where he would be tried, I think the trial will be the 2020 election and the American people can convict him.” It’s all about partisan politics.
