Levin: Media Leading the Charge on
Hateful Rhetoric Blaming Trump

{cnsnews.com} ~ On his nationally-syndicated radio talk show “The Mark Levin Show” on Wednesday, Oct. 24, host Mark Levin  said... the U.S. media were “leading the charge” on heated, hateful rhetoric in America but were still blaming President Donald Trump for such rhetoric. “Do the media in this country understand that they are leading the charge on the heated and hateful rhetoric?” Levin asked listeners on his show. “Do you know, yesterday alone, Donald Trump – I counted four – four times was compared to Adolf Hitler on MSNBC and CNN? Six times, he was called a racist. “And yet they – they want to know if Donald Trump is responsible for the heated and hateful and divisive rhetoric that’s going on,” Levin said. Levin’s remarks came after members of the media spoke about hateful rhetoric and speculated about several “suspicious packages” appearing to contain explosive devices that were sent to prominent dummycrats-Democrats and the Manhattan office of CNN this week. In Levin’s Daily Recap, he linked to an article from NewsBusters.org about MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, who described the psychological profile of Adolf Hitler in a segment on “Morning Joe” on Tuesday, Oct. 24...

Fright Night for Liberals

{spectator.org} ~ It’s October. Night comes earlier, the mornings are darker, fog has settled over the land, and liberals — when not busy denouncing the rule of law... rejecting the facts of life, or rioting in pussy hats — sit by their dim, solar-powered faux fireplaces and think the most frightening thoughts. Once upon a time, liberals were optimists. They invented the Whig version of history, dreaming that everything inevitably improved as liberal ideas spread. But there have always been obstacles on the yellow brick road to progressive paradise — not least the trenches of the First World War that cut straight through what liberalism believed would be a century of peace. The road was pummeled by B-17s in the Second World War. And it took the longest time for liberals to recognize that the red road, running parallel to the yellow brick road, did not lead to a future that “works.” Instead, it was red from the blood of Bolshevik human sacrifice. Still, liberals looking longingly at that road, because the people who built it seemed to know what they were doing, while their own path can be confusing, with unexpected twists and turns, and questions that even they can’t quite answer such as: when is a man a woman? But most terrifying of all is what preceded the yellow brick road: the past — the old road from which liberals diverged. Oh yes, they tell children and newcomers not to look back — or to look back only in horror. It is a road of tangled vines and darkness where loom the old Americans: the racists, the slave-drivers, the plantation patriarchs, the genocidal Indian-killers, the ugly Americans though many of them were quite a bit better-looking than the current obese, hennaed, pierced, and tattooed variety who recognized only two sexes as ordained by “God” and “nature,” and who selfishly took a continent for themselves asserting their hateful white privilege. Still, some liberals can’t help but look back, and if they don’t turn to salt like Lot’s wife, they nevertheless shudder at what they see. They recognize that if the young were to return to that path, to lift the shade that the liberals have cast upon it, the yellow brick road would be abandoned as a mistake, a detour that led people away from a city on a hill where people live as happy, patriotic, free, church-going and law-abiding families, something as frightening as… the 1950s and that scarifying man Ike — an era to which we can never return...  https://spectator.org/fright-night-liberals/?utm_source=American+Spectator+Emails&utm_campaign=04837ecc6a-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_10_25_07_41&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_797a38d487-04837ecc6a-104608113

Europe's Crisis of Survival

{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ "The possibility that Europe will become a museum or a cultural amusement park for the nouveau riche of globalization is not completely out of the question."... This thought of Europe as a vast cultural theme park was presented by the late historian Walter Laqueur, who, for his far-sighted prognosis about Europe's crisis, has been called "the indispensable pessimist." Laqueur was one of the first to understand that the current deadlock in which the continent finds itself goes far beyond economics. The point is that the days of European strength are over. Because of low birth rates, Europe is dramatically shrinking. If current trends continue, Laqueur said, a hundred years from now Europe's population "will be only a fraction of what it is today, and in two hundred, some countries may have disappeared." Sadly, the "death of Europe" is drawing nearer, is becoming more visible and is more frequently discussed by popular writers. "At a time when literature is increasingly marginalized in public life, Michel Houellebecq offers a striking reminder that novelists can provide insights about society that pundits and experts miss," the New York Times wrote about arguably the most important French author. Houellebecq "speaks" through his best-selling novels, such as Submission, as well as his public lectures. The last conference that Houellebecq attended in Brussels -- on the occasion of the Oswald Spengler Prize, commemorating the author of The Decline of the West -- was dedicated to that topic. "To sum up," Houellebecq said, "the Western world as a whole is committing suicide." Why Europe has become so obsessed about its own declining demography and a surging fertile immigration from Africa?...

{breitbart.com} ~ Former CIA Director scumbag/commie-John Brennan accused President Donald Trump of encouraging “physical violence” Thursday... after a series of apparent explosive devices were sent to prominent dummycrats-Democratic figures. “Stop blaming others. Look in the mirror. Your inflammatory rhetoric, insults, lies, & encouragement of physical violence are disgraceful,” scumbag/commie-Brennan wrote on Twitter in response to President Trump’s tweet in which he linked false reporting to increasing levels of anger among Americans. “Clean up your act….try to act Presidential. The American people deserve much better. BTW, your critics will not be intimidated into silence.”Earlier Thursday, President Trump called on the media to “clean up its act” when it comes to reporting accurately, which he said has helped sow division in the U.S. “A very big part of the Anger we see today in our society is caused by the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media that I refer to as Fake News,” the president tweeted. “It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description. Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!”...

Ohio Man Allegedly Wanted ISIS Training,
Hoped to Trigger U.S. Conflict
by Abha Shankar

{investigativeproject.org} ~ An Ohio man was charged Wednesday with attempting to provide material support to the ISIS Wilayat Khorasan, the Islamic State's branch in Afghanistan and Pakistan... Naser Almadaoji, a 19-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen from Iraq, was arrested at John Glenn International Airport in Columbus, Ohio. He planned to travel to Astana, Kazakhstan, hoping then to be smuggled into Afghanistan to be trained by the ISIS affiliate. Almadaoji was questioned by Customs and Border Protection agents last February after a trip to Egypt and Jordan, an FBI affidavit attached to his criminal complaint said. He said he wanted to join the Peshmergan  military in northern Iraq "to stop ISIS" and criticized the terrorist group for killing Muslims. But he also said American airstrikes had killed Muslims and the U.S. forces needed to leave the Middle East. It isn't clear what triggered it, but the FBI had a confidential source posing as an ISIS supporter contact Almadaoji in August via a messaging app. Almadaoji later told the informant he wanted to trigger a civil conflict between the U.S. government and anti-government militias: "...I imagined a scenario of the collapse of the US as a nation.... They have alot [sic] of weak spots 2 really weak spots that would ignite the deadliest civil war on earth if the right spots are poked." To trigger this conflict, he imagined planting child pornography on militia leaders' computers, then tipping off the FBI to their presence. He also spoke of assassinating militia leaders...  https://www.investigativeproject.org/7673/ohio-man-allegedly-wanted-isis-training-hoped-to

Election Could End House Investigation of Trump Investigators

by Byron York

Republicans on Capitol Hill have added enormously to the public’s understanding of what happened in the Trump-Russia investigation. They’re still doing it. But it will come to a screeching halt if the GOP loses control of the House in next month’s midterm elections.
The driving force behind the revelations is House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes. But a number of other Republicans in the House, including Reps. Trey Gowdy, John Ratcliffe, Bob Goodlatte, Jim Jordan, Mark Meadows and others have also played critical roles. (In the Senate, Judiciary Committee chairman Sen. Charles Grassley has done key work, but the most progress has been made in the House because House rules make it easier for the majority to work around minority opposition.)
Among the things Americans know about the conduct of the Trump-Russia probe that they would not have known had Nunes and his colleagues not tackled the subject:

1) The important role that the incendiary allegations in the still-unverified Trump dossier played in the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign.

2) The fact that the dossier was commissioned and paid for by the scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton campaign and the dummycrats-Democratic Party.

3) The unusual circumstances surrounding the formal beginning of the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign.

4) The troubling deficiencies in the FBI’s application for a warrant to wiretap onetime Trump campaign figure Carter Page.

5) The anti-Trump bias of some of the top officials in the FBI investigation.

6) The degree to which the dossier’s allegations spread throughout the scumbag/liar-nObama administration during the final days of the 2016 campaign and the transition.

7) scumbag/liar-Obama officials’ unmasking of Trump-related figures in intelligence intercepts.

8) The fact that FBI agents did not believe Michael Flynn lied to them in the interview that later led to Flynn’s guilty plea on a charge of lying to the FBI.

9) The role of the opposition research firm Fusion GPS in the Trump-Russia probe. And more.

Nunes and his colleagues learned these things — and told the public about them — over the determined opposition of the FBI, the Justice Department and dummycrats-Democrats, both on the Intelligence Committee and in the larger House.
In fact, it would not be an overstatement to say the FBI and Justice Department fiercely resisted the investigation. They withheld materials, dragged their feet, and flat-out refused to provide information to which congressional overseers were clearly entitled. Sometimes disputes were settled by the intervention of House Speaker Paul Ryan on Nunes’ behalf. Sometimes they weren’t.
Nunes and the others performed a public service by investigating something no one else was investigating. The Senate Intelligence Committee conducted the big, bipartisan, flagship congressional probe into the Trump-Russia matter. Special counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller, with full law enforcement powers, investigated Russian meddling, whether any Trump people were involved and the question of whether the president attempted to obstruct the investigation.
But no one wanted to investigate the investigators, even though their conduct cried out for scrutiny.
The work is not yet done. These days, a joint group from the House Judiciary and Oversight committees is conducting interviews with several figures in the Trump-Russia matter. In addition, Nunes and other Republicans are still urging President Trump to release additional parts of the Carter Page surveillance application that they say will contain new revelations.
None of this has been bipartisan. The work has been done by Republicans and opposed by dummycrats-Democrats. And if dummycrats-Democrats win control of the House, as a number of polls suggest they will do, it will stop immediately.
If dummycrats-Democrats win, Rep. scumbag-Adam Schiff, who has opposed nearly everything Nunes has done, will become chairman of the Intelligence Committee. Rep. Jerrold Nadler will head the Judiciary Committee. And Rep. scumbag-Elijah Cummings will take over the Oversight Committee.
This month scumbag-Schiff wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post broadly outlining the new direction  dummycrats-Democrats would take. In the Intelligence Committee, scumbag-Schiff promised to investigate aspects of Trump-Russia that committee Republicans would not — a move that would target the president, but also likely duplicate the work of other investigators. scumbag-Schiff also mentioned what he said were “serious and credible allegations the Russians may possess financial leverage over the president, including perhaps the laundering of Russian money through his businesses.”
The Judiciary and Oversight Committees would also abandon their current paths and focus directly on the president.
If they win, dummycrats-Democrats will of course be fully entitled to investigate what they want; that’s part of what is meant when it is said that elections have consequences.
But the work of Nunes and his fellow Republicans has been enormously valuable. When all the investigators, the politicians and the press were looking in one direction, Nunes looked in another — and found important information. That is not to say the other investigations were not important, too. But Nunes showed Americans something they needed to see. And if his work as chairman ends with the next election, it has still been an indispensable contribution.
