Battle of Athens (TN) - 1946

Here is an important video emphasizing why the 2nd Amendment is so important as a governing law; which is also why all the Amendments are equally important. The 2nd Amendment is so vital to maintain our Freedoms. If the Obama communist regime is successful in implementing "no gun rights" change to our Constitution, the rest of the Constitution is meaningless.

I was completely unaware of this event that took place in Athens, TN in 1946. I did not know an armed revolt by WWII veterans ever took place during our lifetime. A very sobering video to say the least. Now more than ever the importance of the second amendment is a little clearer. Be sure to see the actual photos at the end showing the plaques describing the event. Be sure to join the Oathkeepers.org an excellent group of Constitution abiding police officers.

  • During the Revolutionary War against Britain Americans had almost state of the art rifles with which to fight the oppressor.  Today, almost no ordinary citizen has a state of the art weapon which is as good as what the military can surface.  So, my question to all the cry babies who want gun control.  What more gun control do you want?  As it is now no ordinary citizen is equipped as well as the military.  Think about why the second ammendment was passed:  to protect oppressed citizenry from a tryrannical group of masterminds who have taken over the Federal Gov't in order to impose a despotic form of gov't upon the people.  People keep lying to themselves saying that it could not happen here.  If they take away all guns it can and it will happen here.  There is a story about a conversation that took place in the military planning room of the Japanese Army prior to the invasion of Pearl Harbor.  A lower ranking officer asked the General why stop at Pearl Harbor, i.e., why not invade the California coast.  The answer from the General was that there was a rife behind every blade of grass.  In other words, American citizens were armed to the teeth and that it would be suicide to invade the U.S. for that reason alone.  The General did not say anything about the U.S. Army but about the tremendous amout of hardware owned by every Tom, Dick and Harry.  There is the main reason why gun control is a suicidal reaction that would eventually be too much of a temptation for some adventurous country.  Several that come to mind that could be a real threat in the future are North Korea and China.
