A Letter to Two Senators Stirs Passions

Late last night I got on another letter-writing binge, and inflicted a harangue on my two Senators here in Georgia.  I doubt if I'll hear from them, as usual, but the response I got from a number of people was very positive, some asking to use it to send to theirs, one of them being the chairman of the GOP in this area.  On that note, I thought I'd post it here, and let you good people be the judge.

Dear Senator;  It is beyond incredible to me that there exists in our hallowed halls of Congress such capitulation and outright malfeasance regarding the most egregious and astounding acts of criminality, treason and abrogation of the Rule of Law by this current administration, and that our elected representatives sit idly, silently by.  We have entrusted you with our safety, our rights, our liberties, and our freedoms, and you continue to act as if you were only small actors given a piecemeal role in an inconsequential play put on by children.
With the positions you hold on the various committees of the Senate, it is completely incomprehensible to me and a great many other of your constituents that you allow the evisceration of our military to go unimpeded by an entire host of very bad actors...the most important one being an individual who holds claim to the Presidency of the United States, yet acts at every turn as an enemy, a tyrant and a despot.
I am reserving the use of harsh words...I am merely pointing out the obvious, as you apparently have lost the ability to see the forest for the trees, ensconced as you are in that cesspool of corruption we know to be Washington, DC.
Apparently, the timeless ruse of cajoling folks to "go along to get along" has worked again, to our extreme detriment.  Your silence has been deafening...and I don't believe an MSM blackout will work as an excuse.  We pay a whole lot more attention than you think for that to work.
The litany of abuses is beginning to rival that of our Declaration of Independence.  You might try reviewing it again...and I don't mean to appear snide, but if you haven't noticed any correlation between then and now, you are obviously NOT PAYING ATTENTION.
If a sitting President announced that he would just bypass Congress because they won't capitulate to his whims, would you remain silent?
YOU HAVE.
If a sitting President had been found in contempt of a Federal Court numerous times, would you remain silent?
YOU HAVE
If a sitting President and his Department of Justice were found to be complicit in some of the most incredible, illegal usurpations of the Rule of Law, would you remain silent?
YOU HAVE  (Let's not forget the New Black Panthers' voter-intimidation case, the Fast and Furious "gun-walking" travesty, the drilling moratoriums, ad nauseum)
A sitting President has wasted billions upon billions of taxpayer money on fraudulent schemes, far outside of his Constitutional constraints, while rewarding his friends and campaign "bundlers" and insists on wasting more, and where has your voice been?
A sitting President has done everything in his power to destroy the engine of free-market capitalism, vetoed job-creation and innovation, and where has your voice been?  Besides a petulant newsletter mention...NOWHERE.
We are all entitled to our own opinions...we are not entitled to our own facts.  I have presented nothing but FACTS to you here...abbreviated atrociously in the vain hope you will read this through before rolling your eyes and discarding it.
We have now come into a time where we shall either live as free-men, or die as slaves to an international behemoth not of our own making.  This will be the last chance we have to determine the outcome of that question.  You can cajole yourselves with the absurdity and conjecture that only politicians can produce to make themselves feel a sort of vindication for their inactions, or you can rise to the occasion, don the mantle of responsibility that was given to you by your fellow citizens, and help us get these criminals out of office, out of the public trust, and into the prison they alone so richly deserve.
We are not only watching closely, we have been rather busy.  The actions you take will vindicate ours, in one way or another.  You must decide if you are going to continue to be part of the problem, or part of the solution.  We WILL return to the Constitutional Rule of Law, or we will join the other failed nations of history, and your names will be featured on the headstone, as well.

For obvious reasons here, I have not included my personal contact information that is required when contacting one or all of your reps.  Point being, getting the attention of our elected officials is of paramount importance, but it does little good when they refuse to listen to begin with.  We know that this is where a great deal of our problems lay, and while we still have the ability to contact our reps with our thoughts and grievances, we'd better be doing it while we can.  It's only one tool we have, but we've got to use them all, and do so effectively.  You just never know...I may get an answer.

  • If the courts have decided our American Birthright no longer requires support for the Constitution, would you remain silent?

    You have.

  • OUTSTANDING!!! Hope to hear if you hear back from any of them.

    God Bless America

  • Great letter! I have given up writing my elected "officials" because all I receive back are inane replies.
They don't care...plain and simple. They believe that they are "above it all" and when TSHTF that they are going to be "protected".
Well...personally, I believe that there are millions of me out there. I believe that according to the 2009 cenus there are 21.9 Veterans alone out there! They may get me...they may get a bunch of us, but they can't get us all and sooner or later the scumbags are going to show themselves and somebody like me...or maybe even me will be waiting. Just waiting...breath in, breath out, breath in, breath out...hold it...squeeze your toothpaste out of the tube.
  • One and all---please feel free to copy & paste this, ...let's just keep on hammering away at these dolts!  This letter, I found out tonight is going all over the nation, has been sent out by our GOP Chairman here in N. Ga, etc. I was rather surprised when I went to our monthly TEA Party meeting tonight (I'm vice-chairman) by the number of people who came up to me and said they had sent it out all over the country, and were getting replies back from others that were doing the same.  Our voices are one of the most effective tools we have to get the attention of our reps in Washington, if that is possible any longer anyway.  If I hear back from one or both of them, y'all will be the first to know!  If any of yours gets back with YOU if you contact them, please let US know!

  • Dr Thomas S Burrell:

Assume for a minute that majority of people currently in Congress and Senate are neither brightest nor the most patriotic Americans.  In many cases, the exact opposite is the case.

By now we have a strong supportive evidence of this theory.

Praying is good, but to make a point we might need to take to the streets again.  Numbers speak best - definitely to commies and the-likes.

"The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance".

Why do some many Americans fear to take an ownership of this country?

Our forefathers did not have a problem fighting and dying for her.  Also because their faith in God was seemingly stronger than ours.  They also realized that there is no other country like this.

Bottom line: If we do not defend our country and ourselves, why would someone else do it FOR us?

This is how societies end up in slavery.  They refuse to speak when they must...

Hope this makes sense.  I will not seize though because I do believe in value of rational argument and educating "general population".

Ignorance and fear are traditionally mankind's worst enemies.

  • I can think of little I would add to this letter.  It is extremely well written and very clear and speaks for me that which I have been unable to pen.  I would be very pleased to hear you received an answer if and when that occurs.

  • James,

Your letter is outstanding.  I do not understand how the members of the House and Senate can just ignore what is going on.  I have never seen such an abuse of power.  Why has the House not charged him with violating the Constitution with his "recess appointments" and TELLING the insurance companies that they will provide birth control FREE to the people.  Since when does anyone have the right to tell a business, and the insurance companies are businesses, that they must do something.  No one has a business to give their product away for free.

I guess all we can do is pray that Obama leaves office in January 2013, and a Republican replaces him.  Let us also pray that the Republican Party maintains control of the House and takes over control of the Senate.

  • PS:

Also remember that obummer is a logical continuity of prestigious,

    Chaney-controlled "royal" puppet "W".

  • Well done...

Here is an idea:  why don't we launch a massive petition to US Senators based on this marble?

We only matter (and are heard) as a volume...

  • Nicely done James Seigfreid!
