I write this from a position of a guy that is old enough to have been a kid during WWII. I remember the ladies that worked on the assembly lines, food stamps and rationing. I remember saving nickles and dimes to buy war bonds, when I was in the first grade. The kids that went to war came back as men with terrible memories. They came home to provide a better world for their kids and thus the baby boomers. All of this diatribe is important only so you'll understand my perspective.… Continue

I'm a native Texan. Where is Briggs, Texas? You were not old enough to know what is was like in Nazi, Germany. When I was 19, I was a combat riflemen at the front in Nazi, Germany. Some of my buddies didn't come home. I hear we WWII veterans are going fast. I'm going to get my two cents worth on the record before I depart. This we've got now has got to go.

Don, I have only read a little of what you have to say, but I know it's a lot more than this administration has read on the bill they passed!! We and that includes all readers! need to get ARE COUNTRY BACK! stop sending jobs over seas, make the low lives get off there ASS and WORK! I read a local news paper story awhile back that mentioned that people laid off should do community service for there unemployment benefit's, that is not right! they have earned there check! My view is the dead beats that make a career collecting a check at the end of the month should do community service to earn there benefit's! We the working people are supporting them now and this administration wants more!!

Don, On "My Pages" and the "Main Page " there is a colomn on the left that tells you exactly what the last person/people, contributing to the page have commented on , done or left. And the good thing about it is it keeps us updated to the minute about conversations and reactions on this site.. it's a great feature.. It does look like something that would be seen by yourself only, but it's shown on everyones page nation wide.. I think you'd really like it because it does tell you who's online. THANK YOU for taking what I said positively.. this site is well done and I like this feature, because, i can join the conversion that's going on now and right away, instead of being lost. We all need to be heard and Obama just yesterday still thinks were are "negative idiots", direct quote from him and his staff. Thanks again.. i'd like to read more of your comments

Hi Don,
Thanks for hearing from you. It's an up-hill battle, as well as expecting
to see real change in our life time. We're more apt to see Cannabis taxed and
regulated like booze. http://hubpages.com/hub/While-I-was-in-the-joint
Well, this could be the best positive thing the Prez will ever do.

SICK: Leprosy On The Rise In Los Angeles

Ahh, the joys of open borders and Democrat leadership.

California is not just a public toilet but now there is evidence that leprosy is on the rise in Los Angeles County.

Barack Obama changed US law in 2016 and allowed immigrants with blistering STDs and leprosy to migrate to the US.

Medscape reported:

Leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, is rarely seen in the United States, but cases continue to emerge in Los Angeles County, a new report says.

“Hansen’s disease still exists, and we need to educate medical students and physicians,” coauthor Dr. Maria Teresa Ochoa from Keck Medical Center of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, told Reuters Health by email.

Dr. Ochoa and colleagues identified 187 patients with the disease in a review of medical records from their leprosy clinic spanning 1973 to 2018. Most patients were Latino, originating from Mexico, and they experienced a median delay in diagnosis of more than three years, the team reports JAMA Dermatology, online August 7.

Multibacillary leprosy (MB) cases outnumbered paucibacillary leprosy (PB) cases by nearly eight to one (88.6% vs. 11.4%, respectively), and Latino patients were more likely than non-Latino patients to have MB, as were patients from Central or South America (versus other regions).

Most patients (80.7%) received multidrug therapy, and most (92.6%) received antibiotics for more than two years, especially if they had MB.

Only about half of patients (56.7%) had World Health Organization (WHO) grade 0 disability (no signs or symptoms suggestive of leprosy or disability) at the one-year follow-up, whereas 16.0% had grade 1 disability (loss of protective sensation) and 26.2% had grade 2 disability (visible deformity) at the last follow-up.

Among the patients who lost protective sensation, 87.7% (50/57) did not regain it following therapy.
