Just a thought, but do you think maybe Obama and Company may be thinking if part of the deal to normalization of diplomatic ties with Cuba, is to turn over Gitmo?

The timing of Rauls mentioning this, at this time, raises a couple of serious questions.

If it was preplanned, it would explain the rush to empty the facility of prisoners before turning it over. And the insistence in transferring them to the US for trial.  Because Castro doesn't want them along with the deal.

Or if the facility can't be closed by any other means, it would force the closure, and transfer of prisoners, to meet Obama's desire to get them back into the battle field before he leaves office.

Lack of leadership in Ferguson, Mo

The main reason the Ferguson situation has gotten so far out of hand is a lack of solid leadership, and political correctness.

Every speech, and brief given by political leaders, organizers, police officials, and media. Has one common thread, Politically Correct overtones.

Attempts to appease the rioters instead of taking the opportunity to gain control of the situation and stop the violence. This never works.

There are several things the police department can do in advance of the protests, to head off most of the violent acts.

One they already know most of they trouble makers are from out of the area. There are many things that can be probable cause for traffic stops to check out the occupants, identify possible suspects, do a routine check of criminal background and warrants, give warnings, and advise against participating in unlawful acts. If they fail to follow warnings, and advice, they can have a stronger case if they get arrested. If they already have a history of criminal behavior, they can be held for up to twenty four, or some cases forty eight hours to get them off the street.

Two, they already know the troublemakers try to hide their identity early into the protest marches and rallies. They should be grabbed as soon as they try to hide their face, and identified, and checked for warrants, and parole violations. I will be willing to bet most of them will have warrants, and can be held in custody and possibly jailed on those warrants.

It may take a lot of time, and manpower, but the message will be clear.

The Mayor should make a public statement that if business owners wish to protect their establishment with armed security, or arm themselves it would be ok. That would stop about ninety eight percent of the problem.

Patriot Discrimination

Yep, another veteran told he can not display the flag, he put his life on the line for.

This morning I saw part a report of another vet living in an apartment complex, who had a small flag in a flower pot on his balcony, that he had to remove it.

I was just walking through the living room at the time, and did not get the location, but I still became incensed.

I have had enough of this anti-American BS.

If it had been an anti-American demonstrator burning our flag, the political correctness goons would have been all over it, defending the idiot, screaming freedom under the first amendment.

I am asking others to join me in writing their respective congressional representatives, and asking them to put a stop to this crap.

This is what I sent to my representative this morning.

Almost every day we see, or hear about a veteran, or patriotic  civilian being told he/she cannot display our flag because it may offend, or frighten someone. It happens in appartment complexes, and communitees which are governed by an associations, or democrat (politically correct socialist ) officials.

This is the United States of America, and our flag is a symbol of freedom which many of us have fought and died to defend all over the world.

For anyone,  anywhere, at any time, to say it is offensive to display it anywhere, at anytime in this country, is not only offensive to all of us who have served, under our banner of freedom, is extremely repugnant.

It is about time somebody that is supposed to represent this country, stood up and defend our constitution. Stand for the right of expression, for those who truly believe in this country, enough to put their life on line for it, instead of those who are trying to destroy it.

There needs to be a law making it a criminal offense, to prevent any American citizen, from displaying the American flag, anywhere, at any time in this country

It infuriates every veteran I have ever known, including myself, that  almost every time someone wants to show pride in this country, he/she gets ridiculed, chastized, or some  even sued for being a proud american.

Just because we have a socialist in the White House does not mean any American, you, me or anyone else has to kiss communist ass.

The only ass I kiss is my wife's and that is stictly foreplay. I am not married to any damnd politician, especialy a communist one.

I spent twenty years, all twenty in the cold war era, including two tours (voluntarily) in Viet Nam, fighting to prevent just what is happening to my country at this time.

Please be a brave, upstanding American and start fighting back against this bunch, of idiots. That is why I voted for you.

Can I have my country back yet?
