According to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, the American government is tri-partied. It consists of We The People, the States, and the Federal Government (not national which implies power over the people instead of a federal government, which is assigned certain tasks to complete on our behalf).This is an important concept as concerns both U.S. and biblical law. Government is not just the federal government or the state government, it is us all of us.Therefore, all duties of government belong to us all. However, we tender to the federal and state governments certain duties to be carried out on behalf of the whole government, which includes us. So, when someone says that only government should have guns, remember we are one-third of the government structure in this country.Further, we are the first nation in the history of this earth which had no subjects. Every other nation considered their heads of state as rulers and the people as its subjects. Even Great Britain had—and still has—as a basis of government, the concept of their people as subjects. As Americans we have never subjects. We are free men who are citizens and government is subject to us and to our designs, not the other way around.Our history includes numerous wars with Great Britain, beginning with the Revolutionary War. That war was fought for a number of reasons, including religious persecution. However, the catalyst for the commencement of hostilities was the British hubris believing they could simply march in and take our guns. Men bled and died; fortunes were committed and lost; families destroyed, and lives forever changed, but in the end, America prevailed and history was forever changed.This land remained free for a number of spiritual reasons, but also because we believed that every man should be armed. We the People were the government and to disarm us was to disarm the United States.Now, with the same imperial hubris, the strutting peacocks calling themselves “representatives” fire about legislation that pretends as if we have no history. They assume to themselves the position of royalty—not loyalty—in assuming they can pass gun control or confiscation legislation and steal the rights of We the People granted under the Second Amendment.How would the nation feel if we decided tomorrow to end their rights under the First Amendment? What if government declared tomorrow that everybody has to be a Mormon and no one is allowed to criticize the President, the Congress or the Courts? Would they then say it is not an infringement, just a defining, or would there be an outcry that shattered every glass in the great halls of Washington D.C.? I suspect the latter.Obviously, there have been stains on our history, such as those left by the blood guilt of slavery, but even that, after a long hellish century, was cured by the second Great Awakening as men of faith and compassion refused any longer to tolerate the ungodly, cruelty, and horrors of slavery. In the end the might of righteousness prevailed and the scourge of slavery was ended.But it was the preaching of men such as George Whitefield (sometimes referred to as Whitfield), Charles Spurgeon, Charles Grandison Finney, and Jonathan Edwards that planted the seeds of faith and spiritual courage in the hearts of what would become the Christian Abolitionist movement. And this rare blend of compassion, courage and righteous indignation fueled what would become a demand for justice for all people, with an understanding that if one man was enslaved, then all were enslaved because We The People is all of us, united as one of the three branches of government.Remember, in those days the army was comprised of the militias of the several states. It was We The People who often brought their own arms to the conflict that engaged in the bloody four year conflict that claimed the lives of 650,000 Americans. Remarkably, that was the same number of slaves that were present in the United States at the height of slavery. That amounts to one death for each man stolen from his land and brought here to the states as slaves.So, were they right to take up arms to end slavery in America? More importantly, in the larger sense, are we today—their progeny—right in our demand to keep and bear arms? Do we truly have God-given rights protected by the U.S. Constitution; and more importantly, are these truly God-given rights in the light of scriptures?The first answer is easy. Yes, we are both allowed and, in fact, I would argue we are expected to keep and bear arms.The Militia Act of 1792"Passed May 8, 1792, provided for the organization of the state militias. It conscripted every "free able-bodied white male citizen" between the ages of 18 and 45 into a local militia company. Militia members were to arm themselves with a musket, bayonet and belt, two spare flints, a cartridge box with 24 bullets, and a knapsack. Men owning rifles were required to provide a powder horn, 1/4 pound of gun powder, 20 rifle balls, a shooting pouch, and a knapsack. Some occupations were exempt, such as congressmen, stagecoach drivers, and ferryboatmen. Otherwise, men were required to report for training twice a year, usually in the Spring and Fall.The militias were divided into "divisions, brigades, regiments, battalions, and companies" as the state legislatures would direct. The provisions of the first Act governing the calling up of the militia by the President in case of invasion or obstruction to law enforcement were continued in the second Act. Court martial proceedings were authorized by the statute against militia members who disobeyed orders."(Source: Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Militia_Acts_of_1792)Further, the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states: “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”The definition in Webster’s 1828 dictionary defines infringed as “broken, violated: transgresses. Clearly the Founding Fathers believed that everyone should be armed.“Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the people’s liberty’s teeth.” - George WashingtonI will proceed no further with the hundreds of quotes that could be applied, but suffice it to say, both history and the law support our unabridged right to keep and bear arms – of any sort – without limitation. We are the government. We are not subjects of the government that may be stripped of our rights.We The People are one-third of the government. You cannot strip this third of government of guns while allowing the other two-thirds to keep theirs. That would be as unlawful as Congress attempting to control the executive or judicial branches of the federal government.So this discussion once again asks: Does God give us the right to keep and bear arms?What about the sixth commandment which is oft quoted, “Thou shalt not kill.” Does that on its face not annul the right to keep and bear arms? Let’s look and see what the commandment really says.The Hebrew word used for “kill” is ratsach. The word literally means to murder or shed innocent blood. Therefore, the command is not prohibition against killing, but against murder or the shedding of innocent blood.In point of fact, scripture demands the death of murderers because murder requires the scales of justice to be balanced by the blood of the murderer. That is why we can be both prolife and pro-death penalty. Both are just.Therefore, the sixth commandment is not a prohibition against keeping and bearing arms; nor is it a prohibition against shooting a home invader in the dark of night —someone who presents deadly force or even for the defense of others.Let’s look at Psalm 82:3 and 4 where we are commanded to: “Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.”The Psalmist says that to do otherwise is judging unjustly. If the wicked are strong and we are to deliver them—to rid them from the wicked hand—how are we to do it?Here is what the Lord commanded David in 1 Samuel 30 when his family was kidnapped and his goods stolen:8 "And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.9 So David went, he and the six hundred men that were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed.10 But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor.11 And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water;12 And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights.13 And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick.14 We made an invasion upon the south of the Cherethites, and upon the coast which belongeth to Judah, and upon the south of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.15 And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this company.16 And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.17 And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled.18 And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.19 And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all."How well do you think this same David would have done against Goliath had he not been armed with a deadly weapon. He certainly was nowhere near physically strong enough to take on the almost 10 foot tall giant. No, he need personal protection. He rejected military hardware, armor, sword and shield and opted instead for personal protection, a “handgun” if you will. He killed Goliath and saved his people from the Philistines.There are times when only force will do. Here is the Lord’s commandment in Exodus 22: 2 “ If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.”But one might ask, What about the New Testament? Are we not commanded to love, forgive and turn the other cheek?Yes, we are, but we are not commanded to be enslaved by weakness. If we are enslaved without any means to protect ourselves, how do we deliver the hand of the oppressed from the hand of the wicked? No, Yeshua says in Luke 22:36: “[Christ] said to them, 'But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”Paul says in 1 Timothy 5:8: “8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”This passage is a very wide intent. The words “provide not” are all inclusive. This passage does not define provision as food and shelter. No, this passage is purposely open ended. It means total provision, including protection from whatever may come. It is foolish not to assume that whatever means of protection it takes to guard ones family is both legitimate and required.For Paul declares that one who provides not for his family has “denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.” Infidel means someone who is outside the faith. Yahweh forbid that we get caught falling short of this mandate to protect our families. We then are charged to protect our household by whatever means necessary, be it “assault” rifle, or hand gun, or any other weapon essential to the protection of our family.Others will remind us that our protection is in the strength of the Lord for he will provide all things. Does that mean we sit down, do nothing, and expect a roof to magically appear over our heads, food to mystically appear on our tables, and money to wondrously show up in our pockets?What foolishness! We work to provide a home, food, income and, yes, guns and ammo that we might be able to care for our loved ones needs, comfort, and safety, while keeping in mind that we are also responsible for delivering the downtrodden from the oppressor.What about turning the other cheek? Just as in the example above, where the thief is breaking in, we are allowed to use deadly force when it is required. However, turning the other cheek is applicable for insults, theft, when no life threatening force is presented, etc. Romans 12 says that we turn the other cheek saving room for the wrath of God. Romans 13 describes government as that wrath and it carries not the sword in vain. For they (government) are to be a rewarder of good and a terror to evil. In fact, that is the test to determine if an entity is just corrupt power or government.We often hear quoted Romans 13:1-2:"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation."There are two problems with the way this quote is often used. First, one must continue reading the rest of the passage which says:3 "For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil."But if what is called “government” is not following the command to be a terror to evil and not a terror to good, not being a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil,” then it is not government by this definition and must be opposed. Disobedience to tyrants is obedience to Yahweh.The second problem with this quote is the verbiage. In this passage the word “power” is mistranslated. Historically we need to remember that King James was at that time in history usurping a throne that was not his. He had the power to ascend the throne, but not the authority. Therefore, he often use synonymously the words power and authority.The word that was translated “power” is not the Greek word dynamis which means power (as in dynamite) but the word exousia which means power derived from just authority. Therefore, we are to be subject only to power derived from just authority. If the entity calling itself government does not derive its power from just authority, then it is just tyranny — not government.The federal branch of American government attemptingto disarm one-third of the American governmentis not government, but tyranny.Therefore, I must conclude that any attempt to disarm the people in any way, is sedition because it is in violation of our history, deprives one-third of the government—the people—of a right inherent to all, and despotically limits armaments to only two parts of government. Further, it nullifies the ability to carry out the divine command to one-third of the American government—the people—to deliver the poor and oppressed from the hand of the wicked. Additionally such a disarmament dramatically reduces or eliminates one’s ability to protect their family, home and nation.As a citizen we are bound to protect this nation against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Any attempt to disarm We the People of this country is immoral, illegal and therefore violates the First Amendment as well as the Second Amendment, in addition to violating the commandments in the holy scriptures. To disarm the people is at once an act of war, and, in fact, a coup d'état. It is treason and sedition against the government of the United States, comprised of We The People.Finally, any home that is not prepared to protect its children, women, aged, infirmed, or weak is living in an unbiblical state of wanton disregard of a Biblical edict, historical precedent, and common sense. As a result, we have not only been given the “right” by Yahweh to keep and bear arms, we have been given the obligation to keep and bear arms both as a spiritual matter and as a matter of U.S. law and historical understanding.

In 2003, 2005, 2006, and again in 2008, then Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius killed legislation that would have tightened the rules for minors receiving abortions, tightened the rules for coerced late term abortions and tightened the rules in general for late term abortions.  In other words, from conception to  one minute before birth, Kathleen Sebelius insisted the womb be just another killing field for the unborn.  Now as head of HHS (Health and Human Services), Sebelius has reinstated the dreaded death panels removed from the health care bills by both the Republicans and Democrats, neither of who could face their constituents with the prospect of authorizing panels that could well sentence them or their loved ones to death via non-treatment of medical issues.


In a completely characteristic, brazen, cold-blooded move on Christmas eve, while the country celebrated the birth of a Savior, Kathleen Sebelius did with the stroke of a pen what Barrack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi were unable to do and that is to create morbid, end of life death panels.  Congress and the president so feared the wrath of the people that they specifically stripped the so called "death panels" out of ObamaCare.  Just the thought of government deciding who lives and who dies was too much for the American Public, but apparently not too much for this amazing guilful Obama Administration.


RIP.jpgSo, what does all of this mean?  Simple, government is back in the death business.  Now Ms. Sebelius will have  the opportunity to create death panels from sea to shining sea all across the country.  Such panels will necessarily be staffed by Progressives who, unfortunately, see the elderly sick, the unborn poor, the chronically infirmed as useless eaters, who as times get tougher, will be denied medical care in defference to more "viable" treatment candidates for the highest and best use of resources as concerns overall positive outcomes.  In other words, good Progressives will take the less expensive and treat them and let the infirmed elder, poor, and chronically ill die.  As Alan Grayson said of the Republicans, their idea of health care is "die quickly."  He was correct … he just had the wrong party.

One might ask why I would infer that such panels would be staffed by Progressives?  Simple.  No Christian or constitutionalist would sit on such a ghoulish panel.  That leaves the job to heartless, empathetically challenged progressives.  That, of course, begs the question:  Will politics eventually find its way into the death panels?  That is, will conservatives die at a much higher rate than liberals?  One  may say, “No,” but history says, “Yes.”


Politics, like fine dust, finds its way into everything.  For instance, had Sarah Palin needed government health care to deliver her down syndrome baby, would that baby have been born — or — would have that baby have received a death sentence from the death panel?  If two people are in need of the same liver, one a Progressive political leader, the other a member of the Tea Party, which is the more likely candidate for the transplant if progressives are making the decision?   

Now Ms. Sebelius will be deciding the fate of your grandparents, or parents, or perhaps even our chronically ill sibling with MS, or perhaps even you and your chronic illness.  The death panels will be sold to us as just counselling sessions, letting the patient know of their treatment options.  But you and I know the truth.  Before they are done, these will be nothing more than eugenics chambers deciding on what "class" of people live and what "class" of people are not worth trying to save.  In other words, your treatment will be determined by where society or the Progressive elite feel they can get the most bang for the buck.  And, if a deteremination has to be made between a Christian constitutionalist and a good agnostic Progressive, is there any doubt about who lives and who dies with none but Progressives on the committee?

For Ms. Sebelius, this is the big time.  No longer confined to killing only the unborn, now she has created for herself the power of life and death from the sparkle of the wine, to the glint in the eye, to the last tremmoring breath of old age.

Death comes calling and death's name is government.  To paraphrase Revelation 6: "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was government, and Hell followed with him."

 

ToeTag.jpgWhen government, and this president, becomes as brazen as to bestow upon themselves the power of life and death, I fear the worst has already overtaken us and that both death and hell will follow with it.  Can one even grasp the breathtaking arrogance of this?  Government has now assumed the power of life and death!  No longer content with just making us appear naked in the surrender position in airports, no longer satisfied with the killing of the unborn, now Ms. Sibelius and Mr. Obama have assumed the power to grant or refuse life itself.  This is the ultimate “Star Chamber,” which now decides how and when your life might end. 

Have you had enough YET?  Is it finally time to say, “NO MORE!”

Is it not time for the Republicans, on our behalf, to gather up what little manhood they seem to have left (after getting their collective butts kicked during the Lame Duck session) and demand both the repeal of these ghoulish death panels and the immediate firing of Kathleen Sibelius?  After her firing, will they have the courage to charge her with Contempt of Congress for this egregious offense?

This is beyond wanton.  This is an act of war against both the constitution and the people of this country!  If Mr. Obama refuses to fire her, it is time to call for his impeachment.  This is such a grotesque breach of the public trust that it warrants the severest action possible under the Constitution of the United States.  This, added to the continued insults, contemptuous behavior, and unconstitutional dictums of this administration are unprecedented since the treason of Woodrow Wilson.

Now for the worst news yet ... this hasn't even been deemed a major story in the media.

Merry Christmas From The Baker Family

Tonight will be Christmas eve and it seems to me that the country is a little sadder, a little more reflective, a lot more realistic, and a little less hedonistic this year.  I know that this sounds like a weird opening for a Christmas message, but I think this is a healthy thing.  I think many of us are longing for a simpler, more honest time in America. 

I really miss Christmas and long for the feeling of Christmas I had as a child.  For so long we have made Christmas so glitzy and vulgar that we have missed the real joy of this season.  It is sad, but it's a part of the identity loss we are suffering as a people.  Maybe this year, this adversity we are going through, is not all bad.  And while I sympathize with families out of work at this time of year, perhaps this is giving us pause to reflect on all we've had, all we've lost, and all we have stopped being.

4063263283?profile=originalChristmas during my childhood is one of my sweetest memories.  Sure, we had the tree and the presents, and the trappings of Christmas.  But what I remember is not the presents or the trees, but the hot chocolate made with real cocoa.  I remember the Christmas cookies made with all the love of Christmas past.  I remember practicing for the Christmas pageant that the church children put on every Christmas eve.  I remember going to the small little house of my grandparents on Christmas day with all of my aunts and uncles and all of their kids.  I remember the snowball fights, warming by the old stove, and the giggling conversations of children amerced in the innocence of yesteryear.  The Christmas meal wasn't about just eating, it was about family, tradition, and remembering. 

4063263354?profile=originalI can still see my long lost uncle from New York sitting there at the table with his brothers and sisters and watching the bond being reformed ... becoming family all over again.  I remember the story telling and the good natured ribbing.  I remember the presentation of the turkey and the home made noodles (weird Christmas tradition at the Baker's Christmas table) which I loved. 

4063263310?profile=originalI can recall so vividly the color of the sky as evening set in on Christmas day.  That was a time when all the world was right.  By this time in the evening, all the kids were wet, cold and tired and ready for more hot chocolate and freshly baked homemade pie.  And following the pie came games.  The kids would be at the table in the basement playing board games and the adults would play cards at the huge dining room table, which would comfortably seat about 12 to 14 people.   Grandma and Grandpa had eight children and a large table was a necessity. 

 

4063263323?profile=originalI remember the drive home to our little town of Rochelle in northern Illinois near the Wisconsin border.  There was one street over which the trees made a tunnel in the summer, but in the winter, on those Christmas night rides home, I remember the way the moon silhouetted those leafless trees.  I remember the blue and purple tint to the moonlight that colored the snow and made everything look cold, but somehow peaceful. 

4063263294?profile=originalBut I also remember what we celebrated.  I know that Christmas is not the real time of the birth of the Messiah, but then we didn't know that … we just knew that this was a special event.  From my earliest remembrance we knew the story of the shepherds watching their flocks by night.  We knew about Mary, the young mother tenderly caring for her child lying in swaddling clothes in a cold dark manger.  We knew of the star of Bethlehem and the wise men.   We knew of the glory of the angels filling the sky as even the heavens could not contain the power and the joyous rapture of this event. 

Luke 2: 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9: And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10: And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11: For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12: And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13: And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

4063263373?profile=originalPeace on earth good will toward men.  And yet there is no peace on earth.  This Christmas we have members of our armed forces braving the elements and facing Islamo extremism around the world; our politicians have betrayed us again and again in Washington D.C., and state capitals around the country.  Our financial crisis threatens to destroy our economy and millions of our country men are jobless and scared.  Justice evades our courts and arrogance rules in the White House. 

But even in this midst of this turbulence and betrayal, we can look forward to a time when all of this will be replaced with a prophesied righteous government which will be established forever.  And fortunately, we have the surety, the down payment of the promise posited with us at this Christmas season.  Let me share with you the prophecy of that time of righteous government, which came as the spirit moved the prophet Isaiah, 700 hundred years before the birth of the Messiah.

Isaiah 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

9:7: Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

4063263344?profile=originalThere will come a time when all that we see: the violence, the corruption, and the brutality of humankind come to an end and there will come to this earth that which the very earth itself has cried out for ... peace.  The peace of Christmas; the peace that was wrought when the King of kings chose to make himself the peace offering for all of us. 

It is indeed astounding to think that the Creator of all things would humble Himself to the birth of a peasant that we might be made kings and priests; And from that rude, cold and dark manger the world would find life, and light, and finally the peace that passes all understanding and brings joyous hope to an otherwise sad and broken humanity.  How great is our salvation? How great is our God? How sure is the hope of those whose God is the Lord?

4063263454?profile=originalThis Christmas season, Katie and I wish for you memories of the innocence of Christmas past, the  joy of the shepherds as they gathered at the manger celebrating the fulfillment of all their hopes and dreams throughout the generations of Israel and in your heart, we wish for you, peace ... the peace that comes from knowing that our Messiah is no longer a helpless babe in a manger but the Lion of Judah and our loving redeemer that came to this earth for all, but more importantly He came for you.  Had there been no one else on this planet but you ... he still would have come, for you.

That, dear friends, is the message and meaning and the Peace of Christmas and it is that, we wish for you all.

Don't Ask Don't Tell - A Behind The Scenes Look

Until now I have been silent on the “Don't Ask, Don't Tell” (DADT)debate.  I guess I figured that sanity would prevail.  Now we know that is not the case.  As a continued act of betrayal, eight Senate Republicans stood with 53 democrats and 2 independents to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell, a policy which has been in place since 1993. 

The eight Republicans were: Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts (newly elected with the help of the Tea Party), Lisa Murkowski of Alaska (re-elected as a write-in candidate), newly elected Mark Kirk of Illinois, liberal retiring lame duck George Voinovich of Ohio took one last opportunity to betray his party, newly reelected Richard Burr of North Carolina, John Ensign of Nevada (who is up for election in 2012), Susan Collins of Maine (who is up for reelection in 2014) and Olympia Snowe of Maine (who is up for election in 2012).

I will go into the moral side of this discussion later, but let us address first the consequences and real agenda of the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell.

I am not a "seek and destroy Christian zealot" who believes the government should reside in the bedroom of American homes.  I don't believe that what goes on between a man and a woman is any of government's business.  Nor is it the business of the community unless it affects the community.  If you turn your home into a brothel, you are making my neighborhood unsafe for my family by bringing in a criminal element and potential sexual predators.  You will have my full attention at that point in time. 

4063262476?profile=originalLikewise, I am not interested at all in the private consensual behavior of the homosexual community.  If you live in my neighborhood and I hear whispers about these "guys" who live in that house on the corner, I am forced dismiss such rumors because under the law that I honor, Biblical law, unless there are two eye witnesses, no charge cannot be brought against anyone for anything.  However, the minute you start having raucous parties where public indecency is displayed, you have made your lifestyle my business.  Further, when one begins parading up and down the city streets of major cities in America (see: San Francisco Gay Pride Parade) naked, flaunting one's sexuality, and demanding special rights, you and I will find ourselves on opposite sides of the sexual divide … no ifs ands or butts about it.   

4063262401?profile=originalLikewise, when you join the military and demand special rights to accommodate your sexual lifestyle, you have crossed the line.  If we, as a nation, have to make special provisions to accommodate your sexual proclivities, where does it end?  Should we not then have special provisions for polygamists?  How about people that love their animals in that "special way" … shouldn't they have special protection?  If homosexuality is "natural human behavior," isn't bestiality as well?  After all, didn't God make us all the way we are?

And, of course, everyone knows we need special protections for those who love little boys, like NAMBLA.  They are so misunderstood and hated, but didn't God make them that way?  Why should they be punished for "natural human behavior"?

And how about other groups like necrophilias?  Do you have any idea how difficult a public relations task selling this life style is?  It’s just so hard to find understanding for these poor folks.  Their outlook is so grave that I believe Harry Reid should sponsor a bill yet today just for them.  Who knows … in this lame duck congress (that for the bestiality folks), even a bill for necrophilias may not be dead on arrival, which would probably leave necrophilias with mixed emotions. 

4063262499?profile=originalBack to Don't Ask Don't Tell.  There are some good sides to having openly gay men in the barracks with straights.  First, it might stimulate the economy.  I mean, if we have a couple million soldiers all buying soap on a rope, it is bound to boost the economy of soap on a rope makers.  And I think serving in a forward position with an openly gay man would have a tendency to keep one awake in the foxhole … or anywhere else for that matter.  Awkward isn't it?   Being in forward position while fighting a rear guard action?  But I digress.  There are, in reality, serious health issues at stake.    

A study of homosexual men shows that more than 75% of homosexual men admitted to having sex with more than 100 different males in their lifetime; approximately 15% claimed to have had 100-249 sex partners; 17% claimed 250-499 partners; 15% claimed 500-999 partners, and 28% claimed more than 1,000 lifetime sexual partners according to Wiki.answers.com.

Homosexuality seems to be a highly lustful lifestyle with the average homosexual having hundreds of sex partners during their lifetime.  How is that going to play out in the barracks?  Are the barracks going to become a hedonistic brothel filled with Caligulan scenes of sexual romp and lust?  And if not, how about "tender moments" of hand holding and "cuddling" … is that going to be allowed in the barracks?  And if such behavior is banned, how long will it be before the ACLU is suing the Army and the federal government on the grounds that the gay community is being singled out and discriminated against for only exercising "natural human behavior" already condoned by both the military and the federal government, when they revoked the DADT policy. 

Then there is the privacy question.  We do not allow men to live with women in the barracks.  Experience has taught us that a separation of the sexes prevents a lot of potential problems, like inter-barracks relationship problems, interpersonal conflicts created by jealousy, breakups, pregnancy (which probably won't be an issue in this case), and other "natural human behavior". 

4063262609?profile=originalThen there is the problem of inappropriate sexual behavior.  We avoid the potential problems which can be created when a few good men have been out partying for a few too many hours coming back to the barracks to join a vulnerable Private Jane Doe in the co-ed showers.  But even the innocent appearance of an obviously amorous male in the co-ed shower area might well be, or at least should be, an affront to the modesty of the female soldiers or now after the repeal of DADT, male soldiers.

How are straight men going to respond when they walk from the shower to their bunk and the scene turns to a "B" flick lewd prison backdrop complete with catcalls and whistles?  How will that affect training, discipline, and self confidence?  Will the barracks become “us” against “them” ... straights against gays? 

Perhaps homosexuals should be separated from the rest of the troops to avoid the possibility of sexual harassment.  But that is akin to asking men and women to bunk together isn't it?  So what does one do with openly gay individuals in the military? 

As stated earlier, the homosexual lifestyle for over 75% of gay men is all about sexual encounters, hundreds of them.  How does that affect hygiene in the military? 

  • Over 70% of all AIDS diagnoses in Canada in adults over the age of 15 up to June 2004 were in homosexual men (13,019 out of 19,238). 60% of all positive HIV tests are found in homosexual men. This contrasts with just over 15% of all positive HIV tests which are due to heterosexual contact. (Public Health Agency of Canada. HIV and AIDS in Canada. November 2004).

  • Dramatic increases in syphilis in many large cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, but also in London and Manchester, UK are in the majority observed in homosexual men. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Trends in primary and secondary syphilis and HIV infections in men who have sex with men. MMWR 2004; 53: 575-8. and Nicoll A.   • According to "Gay author Gabriel Rotello the perspective of many gays that "Gay liberation was founded . . . on a 'sexual brotherhood of promiscuity,' and any abandonment of that promiscuity would amount to a 'communal betrayal of gargantuan proportions.'" This reinforces my point earlier concerning their demand for equal sexual rights and the glut of court cases that would result in any attempt to limit what to them is "Natural Human Behavior."

 We, as traditional Christian America, have rights too.  The left does not have a right to inflict their religion of liberal one world humanistic theology on us. Their religion is humanism and their theology, which sees intellect as Divine Spark, is anathema to millions of Americans who hold a Judeo Christian understanding of life.  The left tells us that we have no right to force our religion and morality on them, but they have no problem erasing over four centuries of Judeo Christian heritage and morality on this continent and imposing their vulgar religion of humanistic licentiousness on us.

Every belief system is religious by its very nature.  It determines both the course and correction of a society.   History is replete with nations which have traded Christianity for the humanistic religion of the left and history is replete with the stories of failure, collapse and finally the replacement of freedom with the despotism of Lenin, Stalin, and Hitler.

Will the law of the Creator, whose Triune God-head our fathers celebrated in the creation of a tripartite government, be our guide or will we desert that safe harbor for the humanistic worship of intellect and power preached Marx, Lenin, and the American Left? 

Unfortunately, what most Americans don't realize is that the religion of George Soros and his ilk, and their minions like Barrack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid, is the religion of power.  Their goal is not to raise up America to a new enlightenment.  Their agenda is to collapse America and level the playing field with the rest of the world. They believe that our power and influence is what stands in the way of their NWO.  Their constant piling on of debt to the nation isn't about doing good for the poor, it is about caving in the economy causing panic and confusion, from which only they will be able to lead us to safety.  The goal is always destruction that they might rebuild the world in their image of what it should be and under their wise leadership. 

Finally, if they are to be successful in their quest to build this New World Order, the strategy has to include the control of every aspects of society.  Among these are the economy, the media, education, government, the courts, and the military.  One of the remaining two obstacles is the media the other is control of the military. 

General degradation of the military can be accomplished through the appointment of socialist generals by a lackey of the NWO, which Mr. Obama (despite the constitutional restriction under Article 1 Section 8 which reserves to the states the appointment of general officers) has already done.  The other is to generally degrade the capability of the military.  That, my friends, is the real purpose of the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell.  This move alone will do more to disrupt the military than any other single move that could have been made.

But, our soldiers are the best in the world.  And despite these brutish tactics they have stood tall and exceeded even these draconian demands placed upon them.  They are nothing short of heroic.  But injecting the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell into the military is akin to inserting a computer virus into a hard drive.  It begins chipping away at programs and the registry and then begins causing such chaos as to make the device unusable.  For the military, that virus is Don't Ask Don't Tell.   Through disease, social disruption, breakdown of military order, legal chaos, and the destruction of morale, this may well do what no Fabian bureaucrat or no army in the world can do ... beat the American military.

So, now that our weak kneed politicians have gotten all mushy and politically correct on the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy, think about the ramifications and the unintended consequences (or perhaps more properly, intended consequences) of what we are doing and the potentially catastrophic cause and effect this repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell will have on the defenses of America.

We Just Don't Need All That "Damned" Cussing

I have to tell you, I love Glenn Beck.  His creative energy is undoubtedly the envy of "talkers" everywhere.  He is a machine - he just never quits. 

So, it was with great anticipation that I tuned in to watch his show on the 15th of December to hear him live from Wilmington, Ohio.  The first show was really good.  It was touching to see him offer the gift of hearing to that little boy.  Wow, what a moment. To say I was moved would be an understatement.

Apparently, there were technical problems that killed the live stream to Insider Extreme members.  No problem.  I'll look at it on demand tomorrow, which is what their posting said would happen.  However, the technical Grench stole that as well and the stream was delayed again.  But then we heard the news from the Judge who was guest hosting for Glenn that the show would be aired Friday night.  Great, I'll catch it then. 

As Friday night rolled around we gathered around the TV to watch Glenn.  The program was ok.  It was not the "home run" the first live hour had been, but that is not the purpose of this opine.  I am writing because I was disappointed with Glenn's language.  I had to wonder where all that cussing came from. 

MurphyTheatre.jpg?width=186After all, when something is billed as a Christmas show, one has a responsibility to make sure that the program and its language is appropriate for all ages.  I know Glenn tries really hard to both share information and entertain the crowd.  But to his credit, Glenn had already done his radio program, signed books, greeted people for hours, prepped his staff, done the first hour live, and then came out to a hot theater in a heavy Santa suit.  He was probably exhausted, the rhythm just wasn't there, and old habits just appeared.  That being said, I still believe that "cussin up a bluestreak" isn't the appropriate.  

But again, to put this in perspective, Glenn Beck is probably the hardest working, most creative person in media. I enjoy Glenn Beck and will continue to enjoy his programs as much as ever. 

And perhaps this is a good reminder to all of us that none of us is perfect save One.  And maybe this is the perfect time of year to remember that.  Maybe this is also the perfect time to remember that while Glenn is pretty good at telling us what is about to happen next, I know of another source that is even better than Glenn ... the Bible.  Want to know just how good it is?  Go to Isaiah, Chapter nine, beginning at verse six and continue through verse seven:

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

 

Manger.jpg?width=208Seven hundred years before the birth of the Messiah, the prophet Isaiah said that blessed event would come to pass.  He prophesied that this Messiah would be from the house and lineage of David and that he would establish His justice forever.  Isaiah said that the “zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” 

So while we enjoy and are informed and animated by Glenn's passion for the truth, we need to remember who we are, and whose we are; and that when it is all said and done, there is only one Truth.  May the zeal of the LORD bring to pass in you not just the knowledge of the Savior's birth, but even in these difficult and turbulent times, the peace that comes with the understanding that soon righteous government will return to this earth. 

It is indeed overwhelming to think that Yeshua, the Creator of all things would humble Himself to the birth of a peasant, that we might be kings and priests forever with Him;  and that from that rude, cold, and dark manger the world would find life, light and finally peace that passes all understanding that brings joyous hope to an otherwise sad and broken humanity. 

How great is our salvation … How great is our God … How sure is the hope of those whose God is the Lord!

Beckah was silent as they pulled away from the family's Christmas party. She had smiled and joked with family and friends, but her friend Linda, being the observant and wise sage she was, called Beckah aside and asked her why she wasn't eating. Beckah, responding like a brave soldier, said she was just a little under the weather. She knew that if she said anything that all, the frustration, fear, anger, and panic might came rolling out in one great weeping gush of tears, rage, sobbing, and convulsing panic.

She and her husband Jack had both been out of work for four months. The money was gone, the electric bill due, and the car payment was behind. They had sold everything they could, hocked jewelry, and dropped every unnecessary services they could. Jack had worked every odd job he can find, but it wasn't enough. It barely kept food on the table. By this time next month, the house would be in foreclosure, and in three months they would be out on the street. They had no family to move in with, no prospects, no jobs on the horizon, and the economy was still looking very grim. Meanwhile, government was still spending on everything but the economy. It was hopeless absolutely hopeless.

Finally home, Beckah just wanted to collapse. She went to her room drew a warm bath, sunk down in the tub, and cried. For the first time in years Beckah found herself praying ... really praying; the kind of praying she did when she first became a Christian. And while no jobs magically appeared on the horizon, after a good cry and a lot of prayer, there was a tiny speck of peace just knowing that she could still talk to God.

Ho, Ho, Ho! Tis the season to be hustled falalalalalalalala. Normally, this is the time of the year when everybody is standing around with their hands outstretched, from the department stores to the charities. Everybody is reminding you of all you deserve, all you should be thankful for, and "give."

Well, they are half right, that is, if your electricity isn't in danger of being turned off, your house payment has been made, and you have a job to go to every morning. If this is the current situation in which you find yourself, then you are indeed blessed because presently there are about 30 million of our fellow Americans who don't have anywhere to go when they wake up in the morning.

No! I am not going to hustle you for even one dime. I am not going to tell you to give to me, or this worthy charity, or that worthy charity. There are some great charities out there, but you should decide where your money goes. As for me ... I'm going to do something different this year. I'm going directly to the source of the need and cutting out the middle man.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to give to the Salvation Army and Wounded Warriors, but this year I am going to do something different. According to the National Retail Federation Americans spent $504 billion in 2009 during the Christmas holidays. Chances are that number will be about the same this year.

So this year I'm not going to go to Macy's, or Dillard's, or Radio Shack, or Penny's, or Sears, or any of the other stores for my Christmas shopping. This year I am going to wrap presents and give them to my family and friends. And inside those presents will be the story of a family that we helped in their name. The present might read like this:

Bob and Cathy, instead of a bottle of wine this year, please accept our gift of a Christmas meal for a mom and her three kids whose husband is serving in Afghanistan. She is "living" on about $18,000 per year. My gift to you is a gift to them. Knowing you as I do, I know you will be thrilled with this present.

To Family: As you open this present, I wanted you to know that Katie and I talked about it and decided this year that we were going to do things a little different. We knew some friends that were unemployed. They had no money, no hope, and nowhere to turn.

Because of their dire circumstances, this year we've decided to spend our entire Christmas budget on two families. So, let me tell you what our family got you for Christmas. We got you payments for family one. There was a shiny new house payment for Jack. And for Beckah, we lavished her with two car payments, and for the kids we got the very latest in utility payments so they could watch their television, and a full blown Christmas dinner. And here's the best part ... no assembly required.

And for our kids, we got Don and Cindy caught up on their house payment, paid the cell phone bill, in case an employer called someone could answer, and as a stocking stuffer we made them a wonderful Christmas dinner. Hope that all of this fits under the tree. I'll tell you, Katie and I have gotten pretty good at shopping because every one of these presents fits perfectly. There was not one exchange of any gift we got this year. They were all just the right size.

Now that's Christmas. Can you imagine if everyone, all three hundred plus million of us, would just take 25% of our Christmas spending and help an unemployed family what that would mean to them and to the economy? It would mean a $125 billion stimulus to the economy without spending one cent of tax money.

And churches, you can help too. With all the special offerings taken this time of year, and all the extra money you bring in, why not adopt a few families this year? You can't help everybody, so why not really help a few. But be careful, pick out only families that are worthy of such a blessing. Make sure the parents are good role models for their kids, that they are just down with the economy, and not "professionally" unemployed.

Come on businesses ... you can help. How about you tradesmen? This Christmas why not give the gift of a patched roof, or fixed plumbing, or a replaced window for a worthy family in your area?

And you department stores ... how about a free appliance for a needy family? And car dealers ... we haven't forgotten about you! Do you know what the gift of a good running car would mean for a young family struggling to get to the new job they finally found after 18-24 months of endless job interviews? It would mean the world to them.

Listen, you don't have to do the job alone. There are 340 million of us out here. This won't solve all of our problems. Long term we need to fix the economy with a constitutional budget, free enterprise, and honest dollars, but in the meanwhile, this will help.

It will help the people you share with; it will help the economy; it will help ease the family's burden; and, more than anything, it will help you. Those of us who still have somewhere to go when we wake up in the morning, it will help us remember how blessed we really are. It will help us remember who we are as a people. It will help us remember what America and Americans are really all about.

My countrymen, my friends, my fellow patriots, you are needed now more than ever to help us pull this country together. I know it is Christmas and nobody wants Mr. Scrooge lurking about casting humbug over their holiday cheer. However, I believe that we are under attack in so many ways that there is little hope of coming through this situation whole.

George Soros and his fellow traitors, both in and out of government, are attacking our monetary system and have involved the Chinese in their seditious plot. The dollar collapse may be inescapable. The dark heart of militant Islam has set its sights on America. The world is spinning madly out of control and there is little we can do about it. The system is about to reset. When it does, one of two systems will arise from the ashes of that ruin. It will either be the cold, hard, New World Order of an international oligarchy of thugs and tyrants, or ...

You and I will have laid the ground for rebuilding the American community again on those first principles, which include all of us caring and sharing with the rest of our family, friends and neighbors; not as a commune, but as individuals who care about each other and giving others a helping hand. This is not about government programs, this is about human kindness.

This year I hope you will consider the gift of Americans helping Americans. Nobody needs to know the family's name you help. For that matter, nobody even needs to know what you did unless you want to tell them. But by your kindness you may be the only lifeline to the desperate household of a neighbor or family member in our scared nation, and the only lifeline back to the America we once knew. We don't need government to take care of us. All we need is We ... us to take care of the U.S.

Remember ... there was no welfare office when Mary and Joseph showed up in Bethlehem. She did not seek free medical care from the government. Nor did she kill her baby because it was inconvenient. She brought into a world, darkened with sin and sadness, the light of all mankind.

This was prophesied 700 years before the birth of the Messiah back in the book of Isaiah.

Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

And Luke says in his classic Christmas description in Luke 2:

This may not be, and, in fact, probably is not, the time of the real birth of the Savior, but this is when we celebrate His birth as a nation, so let's make the best of it. Let us truly celebrate Christmas with those around us this year with the gift of blessing others at Christmas. Really, how much stuff do you need? It's just stuff. Will it be remembered in July? Probably not. But if you make a car payment, or pay a utility bill for a struggling family, do you think that will be remembered in July? I would venture to say, that gift will be remembered twenty years from now and will be listed forever in eternity.

Let this be the year when we all say, "Bah humbug!" to advertisers, bankers, and the typical Christmas hustlers and give the gift that will be remembered in eternity, the gift of kindness ... perhaps the gift of economic survival for a military family, unemployed family, relative or friend in your life.

And while you're out running around and you stop to grab a bite to eat, look around for one of our brothers or sisters in arms, and quietly buy their meal. You don't have to tell them or say a word, just pay quietly and I guarantee you will feel more Christmas in that moment than in ten hours of shopping.

Finally, this year give yourself the greatest gift of all. Gather your family together round a crackling fire, bring out the hot chocolate sing a few Christmas songs, and as a family on your knees thank God that you are together, safe, warm, blessed beyond anything most of the world could ever comprehend. Build memories, faith and love amongst yourselves. None of us knows how many more of these Christmas' we will have.

Are We Seeing The End Of America?

We knew the boneheads and traitors on the left would never "get it", but it is becoming increasingly obvious that the Republicans aren't close to getting it either. Look at some of the laws they've passed since the historic election that demanded they stop passing ridiculous laws, spending money we don't have and wasting their time. Commercial Advertising Loudness Mitigation Act. They passed the CALM Act which requires advertisers not to turn up the volume on their commercials. This bill is damnably stupid for many reasons, but here are a few. First it reduces free speech. Congress has no control over advertisers. It is unconstitutional to limit free speech in this way. Even if by their standards congress believes it has the right to govern broadcasters (which they do not) at least theoretically they could force broadcasters to install equipment to make sure commercials are all broadcast at the same level. But they, even in their wildest imaginings cannot control advertisers. This bill passed with 100% of Republicans approving in "Unanimous Consent."

Food Modernization Safety Act. Senate Bill S.510 unconstitutionally, treasonously, gave away U.S. food sovereignty to the World Trade Organization and the U.N., while making it illegal to store certain foods, grow food, possess seeds, have a victory garden, and who knows what else. Additionally, it is going to cost billions to implement and enforce and requires the hiring of thousands of employees. All of the senate democrats and 15 republicans voted for this act of sedition. (See my article on this bill at: http://zootter.com/provision1.htm#Happens) We could talk about the complete wastes of time, like votes to require breeders to exercise their dogs. I kid you not. Senate bill S.3424, which "Requires the Secretary of Agriculture to promulgate requirements for the exercise of dogs at facilities owned or operated by a dealer, including requiring daily access to exercise." Or unfunded mandates to states, forcing them to extend certain kinds of patient care. Other bills would force states to pay for additional unemployment and medical care.

Then there is the one-sided START Treaty, the Trade agreement with S. Korea, which is very one-sided in their favor and secret deals to send trillions of dollars to overseas banks and corporations, that are quietly gathering the straws that will break the camel's back, are being allowed to continue. And all of this at a time when even many of the Presidents own advisors are saying "STOP." We can't afford to sustain the economic course we are on. We are going broke. I am going to be as brutally honest as I know how to be. This economy is going to collapse, along with the European economies and most likely the Russian and Chinese economies.

Unfortunately, I believe the dye has been cast. We have been warning America for over two decades that this day of reckoning was coming. I have told people to stock up on the three precious metals, gold, silver, and lead. If you are counting on the republicans to come in and save us, my admonition to you is, "Don't hold your breath." I can give you countless bills, economic models, and data supporting our dire situation, but by now, there are really only three groups of people in the U.S., and you are, by default, a member of one of them.

The first is group is the left who want this to happen. They are championed by Mr. Obama, George Soros, Maurice Strong, Barbara Boxer, Al Gore, and that entire cadre of seditious leftwing villains. But don't kid yourself, the progressive wing of the Republican Party is no different. This includes the likes of Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Norm Coleman, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Gordon Smith, Richard Lugar and many others. They are not only glad that the economy is going to cave in, they are strongly nudging it in that direction with unsustainable programs, spending, and draconian governmental controls. Their plan is to replace our system with a world government. Remember, this is all happening with the backdrop of failing economies around the world, accompanied with the usual riots, looting, burning, and violence.

So, here are all these sophisticated elite, spending day after day majoring in minors, and they wonder why we despise everything they stand for. The sad truth is, they do not get it and never will. They are just tuning the fiddle while powerful forces are preparing the torch for Rome. The second group is made up of a lot of people who don't have a clue. This group contains most young people, almost all democrats who are not in the first group, which is about half, and the establishment Republican who continues to elect those in the first group. They are hapless, helpless, and clueless, and they will suffer immensely when the crash comes because they have no clue that any of these dire economic predictions have come true.

When it happens it will be devastating to them. Wives will be standing in stunned silence when their husbands jobs disappear, banks collapse, governments can't operate, and there are no jobs, no money, no food, and no way out. Husbands will be sheeted in overwhelming disbelief, depression, hopelessness, and panic, which is born by crushing hopelessness. Then there is a small third group that is hopefully growing and that is the group who are becoming aware of just how horribly close we are to economic upheaval. This group contains people of all political parties and diverse religious beliefs who understand that we have never recovered from 911 economically. They get it that we have sent three trillion dollars to foreign banks and companies to bail them out; they understand that the real unemployment numbers are almost equal to those of the great depression; they have figured out that we simply cannot pay our national, state, or local bills; they understand that we may be literally within months of economic upheaval, such as the world has never seen before, and they are making preparations to store food, water, the three metals, and other physical necessities for family and friends. But more importantly, hopefully, they are preparing spiritually.

I believe that those who really know and understand this crisis are not doing so because of education by Glenn Beck or others. I believe that Glenn and others, while they have been an important contributing factor to the growth of the Tea Party movement, are only giving voice to that which these Americans knew in their gut - or better yet their spirit - that something was horribly wrong and that government, despite their protestations to the opposite, has become dark and malevolent in both their intent and action. So, it is as we approach the final days of this year. Real unemployment is near twenty percent. Jobs and companies are disappearing. If there are ten houses on your block, chances are that two of your neighbors are going to have a frightening Christmas because they have no job, no prospects, and very little money.

Our military is stretched beyond sustenance, our economy is hemorrhaging red ink, we have had no budget passed for this fiscal year, our southern border is being invaded by drug lords, who charge people to get into the U.S. to hide in the shadows, doing whatever it takes to earn a living, albeit illegally, while others bringing with them drugs, WMD, kidnapped children and who knows what else. (See"10 children rescued from smugglers in Phoenix") This could lead to an interesting situation on the southern border, as this economy continues to fail.

What if people decide that they would rather move to Mexico to try and eek out an existence there, rather than put up with the violence, government thugs, and hopeless here? How much will the drug lords charge those trying to escape when they cross the border? Will the coyotes be heading Americans or illegals south instead of north? How bad will it get? I can't tell you, but perhaps a story that I wrote back in 1993 will help you understand. This is the story of "Yorel of Moscow" from ChequeMate: The Game of Princes, (1993, Whitaker House, Springdale, PA, pages 11-13).

Yorel Legov remembered life as a boy, when no matter how bad things got, his family could always count on the State to be there. He mused, as he stood in the long line waiting to buy food, how different things were now.

There had been food lines for a long time, but before, he always knew that he would eventually "bring home the bacon." Now, he knew that he would not take home the bacon ... because there was none. For some time the State had taken on the role of controlling all food production through subsidies, encouraging agribusiness, using public-private partnerships, and regulating all farming through environmental protection laws (wetlands acts, clean water acts, state land acts, and a plethora of other land control acts). The production, supply, and distribution of all agricultural products, including produce, meat, dairy, and grain had all been placed under the control of the State. When the corporate State collapsed, everything fell into chaos. As a result, bringing home the bacon (or practically anything else for that matter) was at best difficult, at worst impossible. It had all seemed like such a good idea − centralized power, planning, distribution, and the like.

"Maybe," Yorel thought, "we should have considered what would happen if the State collapsed; but at the time that possibility was just unthinkable. Everyone though the State was forever. The State provided our jobs and regulated our pay to make sure that each was treated with at least the semblance of fairness. The State educated our children and took care of all of our needs."

Yorel was suddenly brought back to reality as the line jolted forward. However, this reality check was short-lived, as the monotony of standing in line quickly set back in. Yorel was soon moving in time backwards to his life as a boy in Moscow. That was a time when there were real neighborhoods. He knew the butcher, the baker, and all of the families around him. He remembered when the wife of the tailor was about to deliver he third child and the neighbors took turns preparing meals for her husband and the other two children. This was just a part of life. No one told anyone to do it − people just did it. Neighbors took care of neighbors.

But now life was hard. Even the thought of taking a meal to a neighbor, or delivering firewood to an elderly couple. was unthinkable. Survival was the order of the day. Yorel's trip down memory lane was interrupted once again as the line inched forward. Perhaps today would be different than yesterday and the day before. Perhaps today he would actually make it to the entrance of the market.

Disturbances and fights in the food lines were an everyday occurrence, as people became desperate. Yesterday, a man had been beaten severely as he first pleaded and then tried to push his way into the front of the line. His plight was not uncommon. He had a wife and four children. There had been little or no food in his house for a couple of days and his children were ill from the poor living conditions in the heatless, drafty building in which they lived. There was running water only a couple hours a day and often it wasn't clean. But even boiling water had become difficult since electricity was only available for a few hours and usually at random times. It was very hard trying to keep even the smallest supply of sterilized water to cook enough food (if it was available) for the rest of the week. Everyone standing in line was in a similar situation. Sympathy and human kindness were now replaced with contempt and anger. How had all of this started?

Yorel so vividly remembered the woods and streams, the mountains and prairies around Moscow, Idaho. In fact, his parents had immigrated to these United States from another Moscow to escape from the very conditions in which Yorel was living right now. What had happened to the American dream?

"I guess," Yorel thought, "we sold it for another dream. We reached for the carrot that the State had dangled in front of us. We believed that they could provide for all of our needs. We could trade self-indulgent, individual rights for Utopia." "Funny," Yorel thought, "throughout history men have traded off their individual liberty for utopia and every time this has been the result."

An aching sense of foreboding formed a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach. The reality of the finality and irreversibility of America's mistake settled like a death notice over Yorel − and he knew that all was lost and that the gray prison which had replaced his parent's beautiful America was permanent. The sense of dread and feeling of hopelessness was now a life sentence, and what was worse − his children now shared that life sentence, as would future generations.

The Key To American Exceptionalism

I'm an American. I still believe in American exceptionalism, but perhaps now more than ever, I have come to understand that exceptionalism is not a result of merit ... but grace. I came to that conclusion after honestly asking myself: Are we smarter than the Romans, who built a republic thousands of years ahead of us; more brilliant than the Germans, from whom we developed our rocket and space technology; better than the Brits, who were one of the largest empires ever built, or more tenacious than the Russians, who stopped the Germans in WW II? I doubt it.

So, what made America exceptional? Certainly, at the time of the revolution it was not our military or financial prowess. Exceptionalism did not rest in the hands of the Continental Congress, who were as feckless as any deliberative body ever assembled. The case could be made that Washington was exceptional, yet he lost battle after battle, almost to the point of mutiny among his men and top generals.

What, then, was that spark that set this nation apart from all others on earth? Sure, we have an abundance of natural resources: land, warm water ports, and so much more; still, I believe, to accurately define exceptionalism, one must look to the words of the Declaration of independence.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

There it is. It is this one thing that defines American exceptionalism. Not our defense of life, although it is principle to our continued existence as a nation; nor is it liberty, without which life has very little savor; nor is it happiness, which is found both in the pursuit of happiness as well as in the attainment. And, based upon what, did our founders cleave to the notion that any of these three were attainable? Certainly not from their experience in England or Europe.

It was because of their acknowledgement, understanding and embrace of the fact that these three diamonds of human enrichment did not exist because of their mere declaration or even recognition, but because there is a Creator, who from all eternity decreed it so, and that because of the immutability of this law, that all men are entitled to equality. But that equality is not based upon a humanistic understanding of social justice, nor in power, ability, wealth, or even status, but equal under law, eternal moral law, and because the eternal law of right and wrong applies equally to all, and is equally protective of all, there are no exceptions or limitations based upon age, viability, mental status or parentage.

All humanity, then, is equally protected under law: male, female, Jew and gentile. Law is law and can no more be modified than the laws of natural science. Gravity is a force that is unimpeachable. It applies to all equally. The rich cannot be given more to lessen the load of the poor, nor can the burden of the poor be increased to attenuate or grant ease to the rich.

And because eternal law is super-unimpeachable, so much more do the principles apply. Therefore, when the Creator endowed us with certain unalienable rights, they are indeed un a lien able. That is, unable to have an encumbrance − or lien − placed upon them.

When the cornerstone of our Republic is the granite of eternal law, that immovable law is the guarantee of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That law both defines, and is, the bulwark of our Republic. It is our anchorage and cornerstone, set upon an eternal bedrock, which alone insures the efficacy of the tripartite fruit of our American Exceptionalism, namely: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

If, then, we remove from the mix the Creator and His precepts from the Unanimous Declaration, can the closing statement still be reasonably expected to apply? "And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor." If we demand that Divinity be chased from the public discourse, eliminated from the government, an anathema to education, can we reasonably expect the protection of Divine Providence? Obviously not. Nor can we expect to see the fruit of American Exceptionalism, which is ensconced in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to be long preserved either.

Devine writ tells us that sin has consequences and that punishment falls even to the third and fourth generation of those children of disobedience. Guess what America ... we are between the third and fourth generation since the progressives began to dismantle the Biblical understanding of our Republic and American Exceptionalism. Our sin has found us out. And after three or four generations of rebuke, if there is no repentance, comes final judgment.

How much more evidence is required for us to see that the hand of rebuke is becoming the fire of judgment? As the flame of American Exceptionalism flickers in the growing darkness of our national sin, it is more than time to lay again the foundations of our greatness and the understanding that exceptionalism was not a result of our dominance of world matters; but rather, a result of our submission to the will of the Almighty.

Despite our unworthiness, and because of His grace, we walked in exceptional faith in the true and living God and His precepts and produced exceptional results in this exceptional place. But all of that was to be expected because of immutable law found in Deuteronomy 30, which sets before us still this choice:

16: In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. 19: I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

So, what shall it be: life and blessing − or − death and cursing? Recent elections have barely stemmed the legislative tide against us; debt is still mounting, and the Chinese are now working with international financiers (like Edmund de Rothschild, George Soros, and Maurice Strong) to undermine our economy and destroy the dollar, just as they have in other currencies around the world.

Mr. Obama and many of our senators and congressmen are walking in lock step with them. Even the Republicans, who vowed to work on our behalf, have sold us out already with Senate Bill S.510, which pledged our food and our sovereignty to the United Nations. (See my article S.510 Democrats Admit Senate is "Rigged" As They Vote: Sedition or Treason - You Decide!) We have proven that politics alone cannot restore the republic. This movement, my friends, must be a spiritual movement that results in political action. This is a time when preachers need to gird themselves for battle and become a part of the black robe brigade and risk all − including their damnable 501(c)3 status − standing firm for renewed righteousness. This is the time when patriots need to sacrifice to warn the nation by whatever mass media available that eminent disaster is fast approaching. We need to cry out, "Freedom!" and shout the warning, with every voice in chorus, from the highest mountain to the lowest valley. We need to personally pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor, and be willing to take those actions necessary to remove and recall from office those who act treasonously or with sedition against their countrymen.

There is no longer time for niceties and finesse. We need to storm the courts, storm the capitals in every state, and demand enforcement of the 9th and 10th amendments to the U.S. Constitution. We need to act with audacity ... as if your life, liberty, and your right to exist, let alone your right to pursue happiness, depends upon it ... because it does.

About a year ago there was a news story about how the iguanas were dropping out of the trees in Florida, and so Jake jotted out this quick, sick and twisted humor piece. Maybe you will still get a laugh out of it ... maybe NOT!

When Global Warming Fails - Lizards Die: Those on the left say they care … but do they really? Their efforts have paid off and now the earth is cooling. As the earth cools temperatures get too cool for the iguanas and they become paralyzed and fall. But who cares for the Iguanas? End the Hate!

Cruelly, without recourse or warning ,these peaceful iguanas get cold and are falling from trees, limbs, plants, sides of houses and everywhere imaginable because of evil Americans and their efforts to end global warming. These iguanas are not native to the U.S.

They are undocumented iguanas, which means, they know the bitter sting of leaving their homeland, often in the dead of night, with nothing more than the scales on their back. And for what? So tourists will have a pet to show off at home?

But when they become too big or start doing iguana stuff ... all they hear is the cruel rushing of water as they are flushed down the toilet, or the rushing of air as they are chucked over the back fence.

It's time to stop the madness! As a nation we can do better ... we must do better. We must end the horror of these poor, forgotten and falling iguanas. It is time to ...

End the Hate!

All creatures deserve the right of decent medical care. So it's time. Today I am asking congress to provide $800 million dollars to save the iguana and increase global warming so that these poor iguanas may live.

Using undocumented workers in the south Florida area and local volunteers, I believe we can build nets to break the fall of these kidnapped and abused creatures.

Further, by utilizing thousands of local agencies, volunteers, and more undocumented workers, along with unemployed hookers (who can't find johns because of the cold), we can build thousands of little hammocks for the iguanas so when they awaken, they will know the comfort that our medical system should provide for all Americans ... even undocumented iguanas.

Don't be a hater - help us end the madness of falling iguanas - and - if you see someone actually tipping an iguana off his perch, please report that person to the nearest ASPCA office.

Iguana terror can be stopped ... but only if we end the hate.

Today's vote will tell us a lot about the willingness of our countrymen to radically change their course in history. But the important work of preserving freedom still remains. Our Founding Fathers broke their political ties with England because they believed the following:


"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men." (Declaration of Independence)

In other words, governments are instituted for one purpose … to secure rights. They are merely the vessel that contains and protects these God-given rights. Government is not the purpose unto itself. It is merely the carrying case for liberty, and when that carrying case becomes the object of our intent, rather than precious cargo of God-given rights being the object of our focus, we are in mired vexation. When our founders erected a new government to shelter their Creator endowed rights to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” the object was not the institution, it was freedom. They did not create an idol for us to worship and call it government. Government was the shell that contained the egg. The shell has little value but to protect the contents.

Jefferson could not have made it any clearer. America's founders desired a land in which men might live in liberty. By declaring independence from the government of England and instituting a new government on this continent, they did not erect that government for the purpose of having a government, but rather, it was built as a bulwark to house those principles that secured our freedoms. They created a mechanism designed to carry and shelter our precious freedom and liberty ... government was an armored car to protect that, which they considered to be, irreplaceably precious …liberty. Even the independence they sought was not the object ... the object was liberty. Even the formation of the constitution in 1787, while a brilliant work, was not the object ... the object was freedom.

Now, look further at these words:

"That whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect their Safety and Happiness."

This is that time which is now upon us. It is time to abolish what has sprung up in the place of our government and institute new government, and laying again the foundation and purpose of our government ... namely, the protection of liberty and freedom. That is the hard work that lies ahead ... instituting a new government from within the hydra which has grown up in Washington D.C., state capitals around the country, the counties and cities from the hustings, to the monolithic metropolises coast to coast. We must build again, not a government that does for us what we don't want to dirty our hands doing, but a government which meets its singular goal as described by the Founders ... housing for liberty. Government is not the goal ... the goal is liberty. And it will be only, when we rebuild the bulwark of freedom, a government placed solidly on the foundation of constitutional precept, limited in size, scope and reach, to the 17 powers granted it to protect our freedom and liberty, that we will once again breathe free as a people.

I do not know if the mettle of the American people is sufficient to this undertaking. If we can strengthen their mettle with encouragement, or raise their spiritual sights to see beyond this skirmish to a brighter tomorrow, we will have accomplished a valuable service.

I am convinced that the battle will be pitched and the fervor of those who see government as the end all and be all, or the object of their intent, will not easily succumb to those of us who see liberty, not government as the object. I am convinced that this must be a spiritual battle that results in political action … not a political movement with a religious tone. Further, if we do not relearn and impart to America the values that made this country great, we may clean up the disaster that is this government, only to find ourselves unwittingly electing the same vile wretches back to office in but a very few years.

When I was young, I thought it was about winning. Now, I understand it is about fulfilling our destiny. It doesn't matter whether the perception is that we won or lost. What matters is that we are fought the fight because it was right. Then winning, losing, life or death become irrelevant; it's about the destiny of a nation, which was, by my understanding, antecedent even to the framing of the world. The question is this: Will we fulfill that great destiny - or - will we fall short?

By the grace of God you and I – we - have embraced the side of the light and truth, and perhaps this election will give us the proper lair from which we might surprise the enemies of freedom, begin to silence their lies, and roar the truth louder and longer than the world can imagine from city streets to strange lands of forests or sands around the world ... telling even foreign meddlers to beware. We will seek them out that we might render their malicious intent ineffectual and deliver them to the magistrate, seeking justice for their subversive stratagem.


The calling, dear friends, for all of us at this late and evil hour is to stand ... and having done all … to stand. What a privilege to be counted in that glorious company to have enjoined the fray in a late version of St. Crispin's.

“We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition; And gentlemen in England now-a-bed Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.”


To this end, I commit this great cause, this august endeavor to recapture our land, our institutions, and to reawaken our people, to the saving of our Republic, the protection of our nation, and the restoration of that vision which will lead us through the fog of progressive pother, that we might sight again the shores of truth, and in setting anchorage, there become ... America Again!

I'm trying to decide if you people are ill informed, naive, weak minded, or if you actually believe the drivel you write. When speaking of Republican money, you may not know that two-thirds of Wall Street CEOs are democrats. Let me quote the New York Times' article, "Democrats Retain Edge in Campaign Spending," by Michael Luo and Griff Palmer, Published: October 26, 2010:

The fact is, the party of elitists is the Democratic party, whose leaders consist of the some of the richest politicians in the country, like the late Teddy Kennedy, John Kerry, Jane Harman, Jay Rockefeller, Mark Warner, Jared Polis, Frank Lautenberg, Dianne Feinstein, and Harry Teague. These Dems comprise 8 of the 10 richest senators and congressmen in D.C. Their combined wealth is approaching a billion dollars. Further, the Dems are funded by the largest unions in America. During this campaign cycle, the unions have contributed hundreds of millions of dollars. This, despite the fact the polls released this week, shows that union members preferred not to have their money spent this way.

I love the condescending attitude you leftists display mocking anyone who is not you. In your whitless diatribe you mock Christine O'Donnell and infer that she may not be a rocket scientist. I would much rather have her supposed naiveté, which in my estimation is honest patriotism, rather than the feigned intellectualism in D.C., than the scheming backroom, deal-cutting racketeers, which the dems proved themselves to be in the duplicitous handling of the health care package, which the public didn't want, doctors by better than a 2 to 1 margin decry, and economists say will cost trillions of dollars.

Perhaps some of you in the leftist brain trust can figure out how to pay for this latestprovis9.jpg round of Marxist palaver. Don't bother to come back with the “tax the rich” scheme. If you took every asset of all of the top 3% of the richest Americans, most of whom are democrats, you would affect the national debt by less than 1%. And taxing small business owners who declare more than $250K annual income will break the back of an Obama weakened economy and drive the nation to ruin quicker.

But, when you think about it, perhaps that's the real goal of leftists like you any. If you can collapse the economy and drive the system into the ground, you and your progressive ilk can step right in and lead us to a bright and shining new world order.

I have seen the result of Mr. Hitler's New World Order … seventy million dead and an entire race targeted for genocide; I’ve seen Mr. Stalin's New World Order … forty three million dead. And the communist revolution in China had its own special New World Order; which enlightened the world …in excess of one hundred million people murdered.

Then there was the progressive heroine, Margaret Sanger; a true bulwark and champion of American liberalism and founder of Planned Parenthood. Only problem is, she was a eugenicist, who believed that blacks should be eliminated because they were "breeding and swarming like rats in the streets." Today while blacks make up only 13% of the population, black children account for one-third of all abortions. While 40 million children have been killed in the womb, over 13 million of them have been black children. If any other nation on earth were to slaughter 13 million black children, we would be screaming genocide and sending in UN troops. Today, we give them government money to carry out this genocidal initiative championed by the left.

Then there is good liberal, Woodrow Wilson, another hero of you folks on the left. Only problem is, Wilson was open about his hatred for America. He too was a eugenicist, who thought blacks inferior. In fact, he re-segregated government workers, government offices, and the military.

This, by the way, was not a baited interview. I saw the interview live and the tossing around of the "White N" and "Black N" phrases were in no way related to the conversation. The passages were a complete non-sequitur. What does that tell us about his hidden thoughts?


Might I suggest you, and the rest of the progressive lemmings, go meet some Tea Party folks before you stereotype them as “an assemblage of doltish hillbillies.” You will find that most are above average in intelligence, above average in education, and from all walks of life: independent business people, plumbers, physicists, educators, students, tradesmen, white collar workers, stay-at-home wives, career women, preachers and politicians. They are the face of America. They are not the bearded Marxists, so representative of you pseudo-intellectual elite, who are, in jolting candor, really the intellectually effete.

History has shown your ideology, while sounding high tone, is in fact tone deaf to life beyond the walls of the self-induced delusion of your bookish ivory towers, which are, in reality, an intellectual ghetto in which you subsist.


Socialism has never, and will never, worked. It is a moribund philosophy, with a built in death mechanism. Any political philosophy, which has as the basis of success taking by force, or force of law from one to reward the ineptitude or sloth of another, is doomed to fail. Driving the lazy, inept, or duplicitous to the trough, while telling them they deserve a place at that trough, is courting both moral and financial exhaustion. At some point there will be so many people at the trough that there is no one left to fill the trough. At some point you run out of other people's money. When the goal of socialism is finally achieved, and the stated goal of economic equality is achieved, history shows us that the equality created is intellectual, moral, and economic bankruptcy.

Please do us all a favor. Before you destroy our medical system, talk to the Brits, who are walking away from socialized medicine. They realize it is a complete failure. Study Romney care: it is bankrupting the state of Massachusetts. Before government decided to step in and treat us like we were helpless idiots, who couldn't survive without them, each of us, and all of us, took care of our own families, took care of our elderly, took care of the poor among us, and shunned the professional dead beats. Because we were personally involved, we knew that the neighbor down the road was a hard worker, who was just having a hard time, and we, as individuals, lent a helping hand.

provis11.jpgConversely, the guy living across the street, well, he was a drunk and lazy. He chose to pursue happiness in his way ... the bottle and sloth. He is free to pursue that happiness. And when he fails, and his relatives have to adopt his children, take care of his wife, and he is alone in his whiskey clouded world, he will have accomplished his pursuit. Perhaps then, and only then, can he make a choice to pursue happiness in another way.

In other words, those of us in the Tea Party are not a bunch of toothless, ignorant rubes, needing your beneficent guidance to make it through the day. We are not asking you to provide for us, think for us, help us, and certainly, don't try to control us, tax us, or attempt to live our lives for us. What we really need from all of you good, caring liberals on the left, is to be "left" alone.


But, because we understand that you are still concerned about the poor and the downtrodden, I have come up with what might be the perfect plan. About 15% of the population is living below the poverty line. By the way, this is the same number of poor we had at the start of the great society programs under Lyndon Johnson.


There are about 20% of Americans who admit to being liberals. For you guilt-ridden leftists, we need to create a special form, from the government, which will provide this service for all of you. On the form you will swear that you are a good liberal, concerned about the poor and downtrodden, and that you believe that these people should be taken care of by their fellow Americans. On the form you will have the opportunity to either have enough money taken from your paycheck every payday to support a poor person, or, if you prefer, government workers can actually deliver to your house a poor person. From that point on, you will be responsible for their care, feeding, hygiene, behavior, and outcome.


This takes all the cold bureaucratic treatment out of the equation and provides a one-on-one loving contact with your very own poor person, drunk, drug addict, or societal malcontent. It's akin to having a living Chia pet. Water them with your personal care, love, and concern, and watch them grow.

Just like the girl scouts, who ask, “How many boxes of cookies do you want this year?” the government can ask, “How many illegals will you take this year, Mr. Liberal? As you know, we now have 20 million of them, and only you can help us reach our goal of placing every one of them in their very own home!”


We can give this program high sounding name like, “The Human Chia-nome Project,” and each of you can save humanity … one person at a time.

Meanwhile, the rest of us, thanks to your personal involvement, can go to Washington D.C. and state capitals, and get rid of all of those failed social programs, dollar wasting boondoggles, and worthless, feel good government incursions, that are indebting our children to the third and fourth generations.


Isn't it amazing how much we can accomplish when we really sit down and communicate? Just look how angry my response to your intellectual flotsam was at the beginning of this response, and how conciliatory it is now. I really feel like we've connected on a spiritual level ... like we've brought light to your darkness.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts that you are willing to put your empty-headed utopian dreams into practice. And just in case all of this doesn't go just exactly as planned, we'll just go ahead and build that wall down there on the border, make plans with Mexico to help their economy, so that they can support their own people, and tend to the unseating of the dogs inhabiting the seats of power in D.C., the governor's chairs in all of the states, and the leftist incompetents in counties and towns across America. Maybe we should do what we can to begin once again teaching our history, demanding constitutional government, working and contributing to campaigns that remove the corrupt and vulgar, thereby effectuating their replacement with the honorable and forthright.
