Trayvon Martin

I do not have all of the facts in the Trayvon Martin death case. A complete and thorough investigation must be completed and presented to a grand jury. Plain and simple.
This is an excerpt from a news article:
The Central Florida fatal shooting has local State Attorney Angela Corey heading up the investigation to determine if George Zimmerman acted within the law in connection with the teen's dea...th.

"The family of George Zimmerman must understand a life for a life, a tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye. If you kill my damn baby we are going to kill your damn baby," said Mikhail Muhammad with the Black Panther party.

The group is offering a $10,000 reward for a legal citizen's arrest of Zimmerman.

Where's the outrage by the New Black Panters about the thousands of black on black murders in this country every year?

What about the President getting involved in racially charged local incidents? Remember Henry Louis Gates?

Of course under this administration the New Black Panters apparently can say and do what they want. Remember voter intimidation?

Please vote for me in tomorrow's Alaska Republican caucus as a write in vote. I lived in Alaska. I will be a strong leader. We will increase our domestic energy production. We will have a flat personal and corporate income tax. Reduced government regulation. Eliminate the Department of Education, reduce the size of government. Preserve social security and medicare. Reform medicaid. No life long entitlements for able-bodied persons. Create job programs. Eliminate 'Obama care' and make common sense health care reforms that keeps the government out of our lives. Clean up violent crime in the streets. Offer rehabilitation for first time drug offenders, don't fill the jails with them. Secure our borders. Enforce the immigration laws on the books. Create a 'fast track' visa program for regular immigrant workers. Have them pay taxes. No government benefits for illegal aliens, except emergency medical care. Rebuild NASA. The federal government should not be involved in anything the states or the private sector can do. We will not allow Iran to have nuclear weapos or allow any other nation or organization threaten our national security. It's time to wipe out the Taliban or accept their surrender. The Taliban harbored Al Qaeda. We need to stop trying to change the "hearts and minds" of a stone aged society. Defeat or surrender of the Taliban and then get out. We will defend our allies, but stay out of civil wars, unless there is a defined threat to our security. We will not apologize to other nations. We ware a free nation. We will not allow the founding fathers to roll over in the graves because of the "Hope and Change" ideas of President Obama.

Obama's budget

The President submitted his 2013 budget.

Does it cut:

-Funding of grants and loans to alternative energy sources? This should be pursued by the private sector and the free market should determine its success if it is affordable.

-Does begin the elimination of the Department of Education? State and local school boards, university systems and parents should work together on education.

-Does eliminate federal grants? Why is money taken from citizens and states and then only given back in a grant if you follow ridiculous rules and regulations on how to spend it?

-Does it eliminate Obama Care and all federal mandates on what insurance must do?

-Does it give tax breaks to companies and corporations for providing health care plans to their employees?

-Does it reduce the size and scope of the EPA, Department of Energy, and include an across the board 10% cut in spending for every other federal cabinet department.

-Are we cutting foreign aid that was a total of $52.7B in 2010? Why are we giving $693M to the Westbank/Gaza? $1.7B to Egypt, a country now apparently an enemy? $505M to Russia? How many children in poverty could we help in our own country?

-Are we cutting every federal program that can be accomplished by the private sector?

-Does it cut taxes for the middle class?

-Are we going to have a flat tax, reducing rates for all citizens and companies?

You have two families: "Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal". Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California .

Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.

Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Ready? Now pay attention....

Joe Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00 per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has $31,231.00.

Jose Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or $31,200.0 0 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $24,031.00.

Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics and emergency hospitals at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00.

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps, WIC and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Now, when they reach college age, Joe Legal's kids may not get into a State School and may not qualify for scholarships, grants or other tuition help, even though Joe has been paying for State Schools through his taxes, while Jose Illegal's kids "go to the head of the class" because they are a minority.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

Now do you get it ?????

Iowa and New Hampshire

Please vote for me in the Iowa caucuses. The voters have not made up their minds, no matter how hard the media tries to decide who the nominee is going to be. We have a choice of career politicians who will owe lobbyists and big money supporters. It is clear that Republican voters aren’t sold on the big name candidates. Mitt Romney is the corporate candidate. Newt Gingrich is the abrasive career politician, Ron Paul comes across as the crazy old man…unelectable contrast to President Obama to the uninformed.

We need a President who is not beholden to special interest groups…..but serves the people who elected him or her to office. Period. Elect a President of the people and who has suffered through the same problems as the citizens of this country.

I am a leader, who has walked through the valley of evil and danger many times while we have a President who was in the community organizing socialists to create an entitlement society. While we are working sixty hour work weeks to support our families, the food stamp President is on island vacations.

Obama Care and health care in general

 

People can purchase major medical coverage for major health problems that require hospitalization or surgery. Let's get the economy turned around so more employers offer some type of health insurance coverage. We'll always have copays & deductibles and some coverage will be better than others. It is not feasible or possible to to give every citizen in this country 100% health care coverage. Reform Medicaid and Medicare. Let insurance companies compete across state lines. Competition and incentive to succeed has made this country great not socialism, where nobody loses and nobody's feelings get hurt. Let's not turn this country into a nanny state any more than it already is. Let's face it...life sucks sometimes and life isn't fair. It's all what you make it. Don't quit. Work hard, try and help your fellow man when you can and hopefully the Lord will let us die peacefully in our sleep.See More

Definetly needs to be investigated. How can a law enforcement officer knowingly put guns into the hands of criminals? Explain that to me. I spent 28 years fighting crime. I worked undercover and supervised hundreds of undercover operations.... Was this coming from the top down to try and prove to the American people that guns from this country were crossing into Mexico in order for the Obama administration to back door the rights of law abiding American gun owners? This administration has an apparent history of going through the back door to get policies through that the American people would never vote for.
 
 
‎3/26/09: (CBS/AP) U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday that America's "insatiable" demand for illegal drugs and its inability to stop weapons from being smuggled into Mexico are fueling an alarming spike in violen...ce along the U.S.-Mexican border.

Clinton said the United States shares responsibility with Mexico for dealing with the violence and that the Obama administration will work with Mexican authorities to improve security on both sides of the border.

President Barack Obama himself said Tuesday that he wanted the U.S. to do more to prevent guns and cash from illicit drug sales from flowing across the border into Mexico. But Clinton's remarks appeared more forceful in recognizing the U.S. share of the blame. In the past, particularly under the Bush administration, Mexican official have complained that Washington never acknowledged the extent that the U.S. demand for drugs and weapons smuggling fuels the violence.

"I feel very strongly we have a co-responsibility," Clinton told reporters accompanying her to Mexico City a day after the Obama administration said it would send more money, technology and manpower to secure the Southwestern frontier and help Mexico battle the cartels.

I believe in legal immigration. We have enough immigration laws in effect, let's just enforce them. My mother immigrated to the U.S. from Germany when she married my father who served in the U.S. Army. She learned English from my father and... by doing homework with my aunts. The southern U.S. border is dangerous and our country is vulnerable to criminals and terrorists who enter illegally. As a former law enforcement officer I am aware of the Hispanic gangs entering this country illegally. As a former narcotics officer I am also well aware of the drug trade across the border. I have rode along a section of the border in Arizona. Of course there are many people crossing to seek employment and to experience freedom in the greatest country in the world. Please come here legally. The Obama administration is turning a blind eye to the dangers of illegal immigration. Instead of fighting state and local governments over immigration, I will do the following: During the first 30 days of my administration I will have a meeting with the governors of each southern border state, the sheriffs and chiefs of police of each border jurisdiction, the Border Patrol sector chiefs of each southern border sector and the commanding National Guard generals of each border state. I will find out from them the challenges that are faced in securing the border and protecting their communities. We will then come up with a plan to secure the border and I will ensure they have the funding, the tools and manpower to accomplish our goals.

The problem will not be solved overnight, but we have to start somewhere.

Herman Cain's 9-9-9.

Mr. Cain, I am on the same page with you on some issues, but we do not need an additional 9% sales tax on top of the state and local sales taxes we pay already.

I propose 8% income tax beginning with incomes of $20,000/yr and up across the board. No deductions, no loopholes. An increasing corporate income tax that tops out at 22.5%. Again, no loopholes. Pay your income tax. We will greatly reduce the size and duties of the IRS. No April 15th deadline. No tax forms.

I will phase out the Department of Education over 3-4 years. State and local goverments and parents know how to best educate their children. That's what school boards are for. We do not need the federal goverment telling us what to do. Why do we have to give money to the federal goverment and then beg for back in loans and grants? The quality of education and test scores have gone done in comparison to other nations since the department was founded.

Limit the EPA to monitoring enviromental laws in effect and eliminating over regulation and get rid of EPA mileage requirements. We have fuel efficient vehicles that emit very low emissions. The public will demand fuel efficient vehicles that do not pollute the enviroment. Auto manufacturers will produce what the public wants to buy. We don't need the goverment to tell us what we have to drive.

The Department of Energy will be greatly reduced. Their function will be to make us as energy independent as possible. Reduce regulation to increasing oil drilling and increase the use of nuclear, coal, natural gas and propane energy. Let private industry develop other alternative energy sources that can be affordable without grants from the federal goverment.

I will have every cabinet level deparment to submit budgets with a 20% reduction in requested funds for the following fiscal year after I am in office.

I will request a balanced budget amendment to take effect in 5 years.

We haven't ended up in the turmoil we are in overnight, but I will work quickly to reverse the situation.

Repeal Obama Care immediately

Allow health insurance companies compete in every State in the nation

Allow insurance companies to create “group” plans tailored to each state with different plan choices to fit the needs of the population. The plans would be open to people without employer benefits or Medicaid or Medicare.

If an employer offers a health insurance plan for their employees, reduce their business income tax by 1%.

Establish a medical fraud prosecution unit in each US Attorney office in the country

Establish a medical fraud unit in the FBI and both agencies will work with insurance companies, the National Insurance Crime Bureau and state and local law enforcement agencies in fighting fraud.

Fight frivolous health care lawsuits by making the parties filing the frivolous lawsuit liable for the other parties’ attorney fees and court costs.

Let’s have an honest and open discussion on health care reform.

Besides the fact that we have an arrogant and socialist leaning President, this is what pusehd me to run for President. I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. Recruits are told the last sentence is optional.....not under the previous 43 Presidents, only this one. Thank you for your support. The media is pushing Rick Perry and Mitt Romney, but the other candidates are winning the straw polls.

Medicaid Reform

Medicaid Reform: Medicaid should be administered by the States but contracted out to private insurance companies. States should set eligibility based on the needs of the citizens of the state. Medicaid should cover children and children and adults with disabilities first. Family eligibility income guidelines should be set by the States based on the cost of living index in those states. Medicaid coverage for able-bodied adults with out disabilities should not be a lifetime benefit. If these persons are not eligible for COBRA benefits or other beneifts the coverage period should be limited. If a person is receiving unemployment beneifts and no longer has coverage, a major medical type medicaid plan should be available. Medicaid should not be a lifetime "entitlement" program. Medicaid will only be available for U.S. citizens and legal immigrants.

Health care reform will provide affordable coverage for working Americans.

Presidential Announcement

I am announcing my candidacy for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. I made this decision for many reasons, but there a few very important ones. Leadership is the most important. This is the most important quality that the citizens of this country demand of their President. Our President has displayed a continued lack of leadership, eloquent speeches, but no action. President Harry Truman said, “In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better.” Where are we now under President Obama? His lack of leadership and courage dates back to his days as an Illinois State Senator when he refused to take a stand and voted present 36 times.

As President I will take a stand on the issues and you will know my position and why I believe in those ideas. No eloquent speeches without substance, just action. I will lead us in the right direction, with everyone working together for the good of the nation.

I am the polar opposite of the President on the role of government. Government is not the answer to all of our problems. The federal government has grown too large and interferes in our daily lives. It needs to be vastly reduced and we must remember what our founding fathers wrote about the purpose of government.

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

In the days to follow, I will detail how we must reduce the size of the federal government to conform to the principles of our Constitution. One example of promoting the general welfare means taking care of children, the elderly and the disabled; not telling us what type of light bulb we can use or how we choose to provide for our own health care.

I do not believe in an “entitlement” mentality in our society, but I do believe in a safety net for our citizens. People should be rewarded for hard work, not penalized by our government. I believe in capitalism, not socialism. The private sector creates jobs. Government should create an environment that allows the private sector to grow and create jobs. The only jobs created by government are those for essential services.

I believe in a fair and equitable tax system. We should not be scrambling every year to fill out tax forms. There should be no need for individuals and businesses to search for tax “loop holes.”

We will fight terrorism and defend our country. We will secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws. Our nation is a nation of immigrants. We are all proud of our heritage, but we are all Americans. We are a free nation. Free to practice our religion, but we are a Christian nation.

It is time for ordinary citizens to become involved in government. Every election cycle gives us career politicians who are out of touch with the day to day problems we face. I have had personal and financial struggles and have suffered being laid off, only to accept a job at half the salary I was accustomed to earning. What day to day struggles do the current candidates have in common with the working people of this country?  I don’t think I personally know someone that can afford to attend a thirty-five thousand dollar fund raiser.

I pledge to do bring honor to the office of President of the United States. I pledge to be an accessible and hard working President. I will surround myself with a competent and experienced cabinet and staff to give this country back to the people where it belongs. I will never forget that I work for you.
