Let me start with a series of questions. Why does Michael Bloomberg keep coming up with such ridiculous nonsense (ie limiting soda size, hiding formula and demanding that women breastfeed)? Why are we being forced as Americans to slave to the whims of people like Michael Bloomberg to change what have been American institutions and OUR right to self-determine what we will do in our OWN lives? Where does this come from?

I truly believe that one of the main reasons Americans of conservative ideology are being put back on their heels with every election, is simply this; we don’t know where the politicians are getting their information, nor do we really seek out the answers as we are too darn busy earning a living, paying taxes, bills, taking kids to soccer practice and just trying to survive, and reacting to the nonsense that comes across the headlines every day. The key in the last sentence is reacting. Are you tired of reacting? Are you tired of being hit every single day with a barrage of Anti-American idealism and then wonder “where in the hell is this coming from, and why now”? If you are ready, and really want to know, there is an insane amount of information available to assist you.

Our country is in real trouble. Do you believe that statement? Good. If you don’t, get ready to see why. I am going to use Michael Bloomberg as an example, because he represents the “elite” in our nation.

Michael Bloomberg has come out with a number of troubling statements regarding what US citizens should be restricted from, and how they need to live.

Salt: "By working together over the past two years, we have been able to accomplish something many said was impossible -- setting concrete, achievable goals for salt reduction," http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/04/26/us-salt-newyork-idUSTRE63P3P720100426  in 2010.

Tobacco: “Smoke-free parks and beaches will make these recreational spaces more enjoyable for everyone by providing open space, clean air, and healthy activities.”

http://blogs.wsj.com/metropolis/2011/02/23/mayor-signs-smoking-ban-for-parks-plazas/ in 2011

Trans fats: "not going to take away anybody's ability to go out and have the kind of food they want, in the quantities they want. . . . We are just trying to make food safer."

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/06/nyregion/06fat.html?pagewanted=print in 2006

Formula for infants: “Most of the public health officials around the country think that this is a great idea. I gather that the immunities that a mother has built up get passed along to the child, so the child is healthier,”

http://wtvr.com/2012/07/31/nyc-mayor-supports-breastfeeding-proposes-strict-ban-on-baby-formula/ in July 2012

Soda: “We’re not banning you from getting the stuff. It’s just if you want 32 ounces, the restaurant has to serve it in two glasses. That’s not exactly taking away your freedoms. It’s not something the Founding Fathers fought for. And all the studies show if the glass or the plate in front of you is smaller, you’ll eat less.”

http://todayhealth.today.com/_news/2012/06/01/11994213-bloomberg-defends-soda-ban-plan-were-not-taking-away-your-freedoms?lite  in June of 2012

In all of his quotes, he alludes to the idea that he isn’t really restricting Americans from doing what they want, but he is just so concerned for the health and well-being of all people that these are just attempt to give people choices and assist in providing healthy alternatives. Isn’t that lovely? A government official so concerned that he just wants what is best for you and me?  It made me wonder where these ideas have come from. Really, what is the inception for his “caring”?  I say that it is from the United Nations, and a global push for absolute control of our population and absolute control. Think I’m nuts; because you’ve never seen it before?  Let’s have a look at what the United Nations has put forth PRIOR to Mr. Bloomberg;

Salt: “A report published by the World Health Organisation (WHO) has called on multinational food companies to lower the salt content of their products to the lowest level possible in all countries where they market, and have advised that if goals are not met in a timely way, regulatory approaches should be initiated and enforced.”

http://www.worldactiononsalt.com/news/saltnews/2007/60503.html in 2007 fully three years before Bloomberg’s “revelation”

http://www.who.int/dietphysicalactivity/reducingsalt/en/  directly from the UN World Health Organization

Tobacco: “The WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) requires Parties to implement tax and price policies on tobacco products to reduce tobacco consumption.

As at December 2010, only 27 Member States had set taxes above 75% of the retail price for packets of the most sold brand of cigarettes.”

http://www.who.int/gho/tobacco/policies/taxation/en/index.html in 2010, how much have taxes increased since this report? Not JUST in NYC, but EVERYWHERE? A subsequent question to ask is: Is this substance illegal? If not, WHY do the taxes keep going up; ostensibly for “smoking cessation” programs. What about your state? How many times have taxes gone up in the last 2 years? How much tax is there; both Federal and State on a pack where you live?

Also see Tobacco control from the United Nations: http://www.who.int/gho/tobacco/en/

Trans Fats: “Geneva/Rome, 3 March 2003 - A diet low in energy-dense foods that are high in saturated fats and sugars, and abundant in fruit and vegetables, together with an active lifestyle are among the key measures to combat chronic disease recommended in an independent Expert Report prepared for two UN agencies.

The report, commissioned by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), from a team of global experts, aims to identify new recommendations for governments on diet and exercise to tackle the ever increasing number of people who die each year from chronic diseases. The burden of chronic diseases – which include cardiovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes and obesity – is rapidly increasing worldwide. In 2001, chronic diseases contributed approximately 59% of the 56.5 million total reported deaths in the world and 46%of the global burden of disease.”

http://www.who.int/mediacentre/news/releases/2003/pr20/en/  in 2003

Formula for Infants: “The Programme of Action asserts that all Governments should extend integrated reproductive

health-care (including family planning) and child-health services to all the population (para. 8.17).

Specific services mentioned include prenatal care, delivery assistance, neonatal care including exclusive

breastfeeding, provision of micronutrient supplementation and tetanus toxoid, and ensuring that all

children live in a sanitary environment. Surprisingly, there is no explicit mention of immunization or oral

rehydration therapy.”

Latch On NYC

A hospitalbased initiative to support a mother’s decision to breastfeed

Background

 Breastfeeding is a healthier choice than infant formula for mothers and babies.

o Breastfeeding reduces a mother’s risk of breast and ovarian cancers.

o Breastfeeding reduces an infant’s risk of ear, respiratory and gastrointestinal infections, and

asthma, and promotes maternal bonding and optimal growth and development.

 Formula feeding markedly increases serious health risks for infants, including:

o 257% excess risk of hospitalization for lower respiratory infection

o 178% excess risk of diarrhea and vomiting

o 100% excess risk of acute ear infections

o 67% excess risk of asthma for infants with a family history of asthma (35% for infants with no

family history of asthma)

 Ninety percent (90%) of NYC mothers start breastfeeding. However, by the time the baby reaches two

months, only 31% of NYC mothers are still exclusively breastfeeding. These suboptimal rates result in excess

health care costs and preventable infant illness and death.

 The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the

World Health Organization (WHO) recommend exclusive breastfeeding until an infant is six months old to

obtain the full health benefits for mothers and infants.

May 9, 2012 – New York City Health Commissioner Thomas Farley today launched “Latch On NYC,” a new citywide initiative to support mothers who breastfeed their infants by asking city maternity hospitals to voluntarily sign on to support a mother’s choice to breastfeed and limit the promotion of infant formula in their facilities which can interfere with that decision. Twelve private New York City hospitals have already made the commitment and all 11 public hospitals run by the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation also joined “Latch On NYC,” going beyond the significant steps they previously took to support breastfeeding when they banned formula from gift bags and promotional materials in 2007. Additionally, a new Health Department subway and hospital poster campaign showing the benefits of breast milk, such as reducing the risk of ear infections, diarrhea, and pneumonia, will launch next week. Commissioner Farley made the announcement at Harlem Hospital, the city’s first Baby Friendly Hospital, where he was joined by New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation president Alan D. Aviles and other executives representing more than half of all maternity hospitals in New York City.

“Human breast milk is best for babies and mothers,” said Commissioner Farley. “When babies receive supplementary formula in the hospital or mothers receive promotional baby formula on hospital discharge it can impede the establishment of an adequate milk supply and can undermine women’s confidence in breastfeeding. With this initiative the New York City health community is joining together to support mothers who choose to breastfeed.”

"HHC has been banning formula from gift bags and promotional materials from our labor and delivery units since 2007,” said HHC President Alan D. Aviles. “We are proud to have been a leader in supporting and educating mothers on the benefits of breastfeeding. We are committed to doing all we can to improve the health of the littlest New Yorkers and encourage the use of mother’s milk for the 22,000 babies born in our hospitals each year."

“Mothers who choose to breastfeed their baby are making a healthy choice for their child and themselves,” said State Health Commissioner Nirav R. Shah. “We commend Dr. Farley and the City Health Department for launching this new initiative and partnering with health care facilities to encourage breastfeeding, beginning when a new mother is still in the hospital. Medical evidence shows that breastfeeding leads to better health outcomes and is a great way to protect the health of your child from day one.”

I am truly afraid for my country, and this election is NOT just about jobs. It is about whether or not we will remain free people, or enter into Government slavery. I am reminded of the statement George Washington made regarding government: “Government is not reason, it is not eloquence – it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and fearful master.”
I would like Mitt Romney to look me, and the American people in the eye and tell us what he is going to do about ending executive orders (see this link: http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/executive-orders specifically, promoting international regulatory cooperation, and the executive orders restructuring our government into a dictatorship under the guise of a national emergency) I would like Mitt to tell me how he is going to get rid of the idea that our Constitution is somehow not good enough for us (see this link:http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/02/03/ruth_bader_ginsburg_to_egypt_dont_use_us_constitution_as_a_model.html) I have researched a great deal, and feel a great deal of fear for our nation, and only a great deal of anger at what has gone on behind our backs! As an example: Why in the world would we give away our nation to the United Nations in the form of "Sustainability" "9. We reaffirm the importance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as
well as other international instruments relating to human rights and international law. We emphasize the responsibilities of all States, in conformity with the Charter
of the United Nations, to respect, protect and promote human rights and
fundamental freedoms for all, without distinction of any kind as to race, colour, sex,
language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property,
birth, disability or other status"(see this link:http://daccess-dds-ny.un.org/doc/UNDOC/LTD/N12/436/88/PDF/N1243688.pdf?OpenElement) Honestly, I want to trust folks running for office, but when I see the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (from the United Nations)ensconced in the White House "Over sixty years after the Universal Declaration of Human Rights proclaimed the right of every person “to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers,” that right remains in peril in far too many countries." (This link:http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/05/03/statement-president-world-press-freedom-day) AND from the Department of State I get a little antsy:

UN DAILY NEWS from the
UNITED NATIONS NEWS SERVICE

14 May, 2012 =========================================================================

UN EXPERTS CALL FOR GLOBAL FINANCIAL TAX TO OFFSET COSTS OF ECONOMIC CRISIS

A group of United Nations independent experts today called on the European Union (EU) to take the lead in promoting the adoption of a global financial transaction tax that would offset the costs of the current economic crisis and protect basic human rights.

“Where the world financial crisis has brought about the loss of millions of jobs, socialized private debt burdens and now risks causing significant human rights regressions through wide-ranging austerity packages, a financial transaction tax (FTT) is a pragmatic tool for providing the means for governments to protect and fulfil the human rights of their people,” said the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, Magdalena Sepúlveda.

According to a news release from the UN office of the High Commissioner of Human Rights (OHCHR), estimates suggest that at its lowest rate the FTT would yield about $48 billion across the Group of Twenty major economies, with higher rates offering up to $250 billion per year to offset the costs of the enduring economic, financial, fuel, climate and food crises.

The call from UN experts comes a day ahead of the Group of Eight Summit of industrialized countries, which will take place in Camp David in the United States.

“EU countries must take bold leadership now to pave the way towards what should eventually be a global FTT,” the UN experts urged, welcoming recent EU proposals to implement the financial transaction tax across the Eurozone.

Countries such as the Republic of Korea have implemented similar taxes in non-discriminatory ways to raise resources to achieve the right to development. The FTT, experts argue, would also help stabilize financial markets by discouraging speculation, and therefore mitigate the type of volatility which led to the 2008 financial and food crises.

“Food prices have twice spiked dangerously over the past five years, and could easily do so again,” stressed the Special Rapporteur on the right to food, Olivier De Schutter. “The FTT will likely reduce hot capital flows that fuel speculation, drive price instability and wreak havoc on the right to food worldwide.”

“A global FTT is not a silver bullet, but it would help relieve sovereign debt load stemming from the financial crisis, shift the burden from ordinary citizens to the private sector which caused the crisis, and significantly enlarge government fiscal space for spending on desperately needed economic and social rights programmes.” said the Special Rapporteur on foreign debt and human rights, Cephas Lumina.

The FTT would provide governments with an opportunity to act on their commitments to sustainable development and to take a step to advance development and include marginalized populations, said the Special Rapporteur on human rights and international solidarity, Virginia Dandan.

“When the financial sector fails to pay its share, the rest of society must pick up the bill,” Ms. Sepúlveda emphasized. “It is high-time that governments re-examine the basic redistributive role of taxation to ensure that wealthier individuals and the financial sector contribute their fair share of the tax burden.”

What about "Dear Leader"? Think he isnt for this?

http://www.aim.org/aim-report/barack-obamas-global-tax-proposal/

Remember when Joe Biden wanted the same thing?

http://blog.heritage.org/2012/03/30/a-global-minimum-tax-if-biden-gets-his-way/

“For years, American manufacturers have faced one of the highest tax rates in the world. We want to reduce that by over 20%. We want to drop the rate, particularly, for high-tech manufacturers like you, Mr. President, even further than the 20%.

We want to create a global minimum tax, because American taxpayers shouldn’t be providing a larger subsidy for investing abroad than investing at home."

Alinsky Tactics

Here is what we are fighting. Think Occupy Wall Street, Black Panthers, Unions in Wisconsin etc:

"Saul Alinski wrote the book on American radicalism - two books, in fact: a 1945 best-seller, "Reveille for Radicals" and "Rules for Radicals" in 1971. The "Reveille" title page quotes Thomas Paine... "Let them call me rebel and welcome, I feel no concern from it; but I should suffer the misery of devils, were I to make a whore of my soul."

Saul Alinsky, who was a labor and civil-rights activist from the 1910's until he died in 1972, has written here a guidebook for those who are out to change things. He sets down what the goal is: a society where people are free to live, and also aren't starving in the streets. A society where there is legal and economic justice. Then he sets out to say how to get there.

Alinsky spends a lot of time critiquing the idea that "The end does not justify the means." What end? What means? He feels that there are circumstances where one can and should use means that in other circumstances would be unethical. I am not sure I agree, but Alinsky certainly speaks with the voice of experience.

Alinsky's goal seems to be to encourage positive social change by equipping activists with a realistic view of the world, a kind of preemptive disillusionment. If a person already knows what evil the world is capable of, then perhaps the surprise factor can be eliminated, making the person a more effective activist. Alinsky further seems to be encouraging the budding activist not to worry to much about getting his or her hands dirty. It's all a part of the job, he seems to say.

Alinski, the master political agitator, tactical planner and social organizer didn't mince words...

"Liberals in their meetings utter bold works; they strut, grimace belligerently, and then issue a weasel-worded statement 'which has tremendous implications, if read between the lines.' They sit calmly, dispassionately, studying the issue; judging both sides; they sit and still sit.

"The Radical does not sit frozen by cold objectivity. He sees injustice and strikes at it with hot passion. He is a man of decision and action. There is a saying that the Liberal is one who walks out of the room when the argument turns into a fight.

"Society has good reason to fear the Radical. Every shaking advance of mankind toward equality and justice has come from the Radical. He hits, he hurts, he is dangerous. Conservative interests know that while Liberals are most adept at breaking their own necks with their tongues, Radicals are most adept at breaking the necks of Conservatives.

"Radicals precipitate the social crisis by action - by using power. Liberals may then timidly follow along or else, as in most cases, be swept forward along the course set by Radicals, but all because of forces unloosed by Radical action. They are forced to positive action only in spite of their desires ...

  • "The American Radical will fight privilege and power whether it be inherited or acquired by any small group, whether it be political or financial or organized creed.
  • "He curses a caste system which he recognizes despite all patriotic denials.
  • "He will fight conservatives whether they are business or labor leaders.
  • "He will fight any concentration of power hostile to a broad, popular democracy, whether he finds it in financial circles or in politics.
  • "The Radical recognizes that constant dissension and conflict is and has been the fire under the boiler of democracy. He firmly believes in that brave saying of a brave people, "Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees!"
  • "The Radical may resort to the sword but when he does he is not filled with hatred against those individuals whom he attacks. He hates these individuals not as persons but as symbols representing ideas or interests which he believes to be inimical to the welfare of the people.
  • "That is the reason why Radicals, although frequently embarking upon revolutions, have rarely resorted to personal terrorism."

Alinski practiced what he preached. He said, "Tactics means doing what you can with what you have ... tactics is the art of how to take and how to give."

He uses eyes, ears and nose for examples...

Eyes
"If you have a vast organization, parade it before the enemy, openly show your power."

Ears
"If your organization is small, do what Gideon did: conceal the members in the dark but raise a clamor that will make the listener believe that your organization numbers many more that it does."

Nose
"If your organization is too tiny even for noise, stink up the place."

Alinski devised and proved thirteen tactical rules for use against opponents vastly superior in power and wealth.

   1. "Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
   2. "Never go outside the experience of your people.
   3. "Wherever possible go outside of the experience of the enemy.
   4. "Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
   5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.
   6. "A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
   7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
   8. "Keep the pressure on.
   9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
  10. "Major premise for tactics is development of operations that will maintain constant pressure upon the opposition.
  11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside.
  12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
  13. "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

"The real action is in the enemy's reaction. The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength. Tactics, like life, require that you move with the action."

Alinski was hated and defamed by powerful enemies, proof that his tactics worked. His simple formula for success...

"Agitate + Aggravate + Educate + Organize" "

NEW UN-BACKED GUIDELINES AIM TO PROTECT RIGHTS TO LAND, FISHERIES AND FORESTS

A United Nations-backed committee today endorsed a set of far-reaching global guidelines to help governments protect the rights of people, especially the poor, to own or access land, forests and fisheries.

“Giving poor and vulnerable people secure and equitable rights to access land and other natural resources is a key condition in the fight against hunger and poverty,” said the Director-General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), José Graziano da Silva.

“It is a historic breakthrough that countries have agreed on these first-ever global land tenure guidelines,” he added. “We now have a shared vision. It’s a starting point that will help improve the often dire situation of the hungry and poor.”

The new Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the Context of National Food Security was adopted by the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) – the leading global platform for discussions on food security issues – in Rome earlier on Friday.

Among the issues dealt with in the guidelines is the so-called ‘land-grabbing’ phenomenon, according to a news release issued by FAO. It recommends that safeguards be put in place to protect tenure rights of local people from risks that could arise from large-scale land acquisitions, and also to protect human rights, livelihoods, food security and the environment.

The guidelines also address a wide range of other issues such as recognition and protection of legitimate tenure rights, even under informal systems; best practices for registration and transfer of tenure rights; making sure that tenure administrative systems are accessible and affordable; managing expropriations and restitution of land to people who were forcibly evicted in the past; and the rights of indigenous communities.

“Some of the issues addressed by the Voluntary Guidelines go back centuries even. The fact that these guidelines tackle those entrenched issues as well as newer concerns is what makes them so significant,” said Mr. Graziano da Silva.

He added that FAO stands ready to provide support and assistance to countries in adapting and implementing the guidelines. The agency will now develop a series of technical handbooks designed to help countries adapt the guidelines to their local contexts and carry them out, as well as provide targeted technical assistance to governments.

The guidelines are based on a consultation process started by FAO in 2009 and then finalized through CFS-led intergovernmental negotiations that included the participation of government officials, civil society organizations, private sector representatives, international organizations and academics."

In other words, you and I CANNOT be "trusted" with OUR land or resources. Get ready folks, Agenda 21 is getting ready to swing into high gear, and you and I are the victims.

You can read about it here: http://www.un.org/documents/ga/res/spec/aress19-2.htm

What is the "Smart Grid" really about, and why should it concern you and me? Think of your citys implementation of "Smart Meters" in your home (Oh, yes, it is coming, and, at the moment you have NO recourse whatsoever if you dont want it)

Read it and weep, we are NEVER going to be rid of it once it is implemented......
"· A Sustainable Development Council is the most promising option to respond to the
integration of the three pillars. The legal process of creating the Human Rights Council is
a good model in terms of time line and process.
· A SD Council would, inter alia (inter alia means "among other things"; explanation mine),
o Replace or integrate the CSD functions into broader structure.
o Oversee a new peer or other review process, but would require increased capacity
for this purpose.
o Introduce country review, linked especially to helping countries develop their
own sustainable development policies or planning documents to respond to
differential country needs.
o Go hand in hand with the reform of the UNDG to a UN Sustainable Development
Group to oversee “Delivering as One.”"
From this UN report:
http://www.uneca.org/eca_programmes/sdd/events/Rio20/cfssd7/IFSD%20FIVE%20OPTIONS%20REPORT_31Oct11.pdf

The above is a corollary to RIO+20 The Future We Want.
It is coming in just 108 days folks, look at the intent:
7. We reaffirm our commitment to advance progress in implementation of the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, Agenda 21, the Programme for the Further Implementation of Agenda 21,the Johannesburg Declaration on Sustainable Development and the Plan of Implementation of the World Summit on Sustainable Development, the Barbados Programme of Action and the Mauritius Strategy for Implementation. The Rio Principles shall continue to guide the international community and serve as the basis for cooperation, coherence and implementation of agreed commitments.

For those who say that Agenda 21 doesnt exist, or that we are a batch of nut-jobs, re-read the intent:

"We reaffirm our commitment to advance progress in implementation of the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, Agenda 21, the Programme for the Further Implementation of Agenda 21..."
(Further implementation of Agenda 21 even has an agenda:
2012-2013: Forests, biodiversity, biotechnology, tourism and mountains

2014-2015: Oceans and seas, marine resources, small island developing States, and disaster management and vulnerability

2016-2017: Overall appraisal of implementation of Agenda 21, the Programme for the Further Implementation of Agenda 21 and the JPOI)

To see how that translates to the USA, read this on the US Department of Energy website:
http://energy.gov/smart-grid
and see what the government wants access to in your life and mine:
http://energy.gov/articles/five-million-smart-meters-installed-nationwide-just-beginning-smart-grid-progress
Do you see all of the wonderful "sustainability" coursing throughout the presentation? How long before the Government decides how much energy you and I can use on a daily baisis? With the "Smart Grid" they WILL control what you use, and when you use it!!!! Does anyone still really think that "Smart Growth" is a good thing for Our Country, States, or Cities?

This and much more information is available on www.UNAmericantakeover.org Read about Millennium Development goals and see how many policies the USA has adopted already.
