The red, white, and blue colors of the state flag are the same as those of the national flag. The red on the border is a symbol of the native Americans who inhabited Wyoming long before settlers came, and also represents the blood of pioneers who gave their lives to claim the soil. White is a symbol for the purity and uprightness of Wyoming. Blue is for Wyoming's sky and mountains, and is also a symbol of fidelity, justice and virility.

No wonder Castro likes Obama ......DUH !
    They are great 'bed-fellows.'
  • I would like to see a couple of things happen locally.

    1. Stop the changing of plates every time the design is changed. Vehicles just don't last that long (eventually the older plates will be phased out just by vehicle phasing out).. It is an uneeded expense to change out these plates like just happened. In my particular case the plates were a couple of years old, and now are not any good. This is an uneeded expense to the people of WY. Just let us keep the plates we have. Any new vehicles can get the newly designed plates. When simply re-registering, the just change out the tags. This will save us a lot of money, because no matter how you look at it we the people are paying for these plates.
    2. Stop making and requiring two plates. This is silly. Most cars do not have a way to mount the front plate. It is an uneeded expense. I don't know of any other state that hasn't seen the light in regards to this. Most people I have talked to are annoyed by it, but since it is the law, they just except it. We should (in my opinion) be asking ourselves if laws are reasonable, and if not we should be changing them.
  • Check out how bias the News Media has been http://www.mrc.org/specialreports/uploads/obamaomit.pdf
  • Wish we could put that clip on public tv and see what kind of response would occur....
  • I grew up in WY and I am ashamed of the way special interest groups have been able to take over and dictate what happens to the resources and ultimately the people living here. They seem to have the loudest voices no matter what the majority of people believe.
