An issue that I don't see as a forefront discussion would be state level lobbying. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has no limit on what gifts or amount of money may be given to our elected officials. This must be changed.
politicians are elected on the premise that they are to do the will of the people. How is that possible when someone, a corporation for instance, hands a senator/congressman $500,00?
As long as it happens they are doing the bidding of the chosen few with financial wealth. Although if those elected officials accept perks from corporations, are they getting tax breaks in return to create more jobs here in Pennsylvania?
