Deceptive Homosexual Marriage Bill
to be Heard and Voted on in Florida Senate
Committee Tomorrow
 
Please e-mail five state senators below today
 and ask them to VOTE NO to SB-196
  

This bill will come up tomorrow in the Senate Children and Families Committee Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 1:00pm and we need you to call key Senators on the committee today asking them to VOTE NO to SB 196. 

 
It is deceptively named by its Democrat sponsor Sen. Eleanor Sobel, the “Families First” domestic partnership bill, but this proposed law mirrors state and federal laws on marriage in every way and so it is really a full blown Civil Union and in effect a brazen attempt at trying to allow homosexual marriages.
 
This bill is in direct violation of the Article I, Section 27, the Florida Marriage Protection Act, which was passed by 62% of Floridians as Amendment 2 in 2008 and is therefore the bill blatantly unconstitutional on its face because it creates a union” treated as marriage” and the “substantial equivalent” of marriage.

We need your help to make sure this BAD BILL will DIE in this committee on Tuesday.  Right now, please make FIVE phone calls to members of the committee and urge them to vote NO on SB 196
the Domestic Partnership / Gay Marriage bill.

"Hi, my name is _____ and I am calling to urge Senator _____ to vote in AGAINST SB-196 in the Children & Families Committee on Tuesday Feb. 19.  This bill is labeled as domestic partnership but the bill is actually a full blown Civil Union providing for homosexual marriages in Florida. This bill is unconstitutional and violates the marriage amendment passed by 62% of Floridians in 2008.  Please VOTE NO on SB 196."
