“The majority of millennials would prefer to live in a socialist, communist or fascist nation rather than a capitalistic one, according to a new poll…. The most popular socioeconomic order was socialism, with 44 percent support. Communism and fascism received 7 percent support each.” (Washington Times).

The most egregious political stupidity comes from people whose families escaped socialism and communism and are enthusiastic about voting for self-professed socialists and borderline communists in a state like Florida where much of the population, especially in South Florida and Tampa, escaped the ravages of Communism and Socialist regimes.

A similar trend is taking place when heavily taxed citizens of northern states like New York move to Florida and vote for the same devastating economic policies they escaped.

For many millennials, socialism probably means “to be social,” you know, like social media. “He’s a socialist. We like social stuff. Let’s vote for him.”

Communism is about being in a community. Remember, Barack Obama was a “community organizer.” Community sounds a lot like Communism. “If it was good enough for the first black President, it’s good enough for me.”

Communism and socialism are all about “sharing,” and many people are OK with that, even if it’s at the point of a gun.

For example, “Brittany Griebling, a bubbly 35-year-old social worker, says socialism is ‘people making choices for themselves.’” No, Socialism is some people using the power and force of government to make choices for everyone using money taken from some people and given to other people. In any other world, we would call that stealing, even it’s enacted by a majority of voters.

God vs. Socialism

The biblical witness is clear: God believes in private property, and He not only desires us but commands us to live by that rule as well. Socialists believe that private property is a bad idea, and that governments should own most or all property and distribute it as government experts, scientists, politicians, or voters see fit.

Jeremy Low contends, “We’re in an age where we can easily provide for everyone on the planet.” Who are the “we” in this scenario? Socialism is forced compliance. If Brittany and Jeremy decide to travel the world or engage in a year-long study of art, according to them, “we” should be forced to pay for their aspirations. (PhillyMag)

The history of Communism is a record of genocide, [1] as D. James Kennedy and Jerry Newcombe show in their book What If Jesus Had Never Been Born?:

Mao killed about 72 million human beings from 1948 to 1976. When we add the 40 million Josef Stalin is responsible for, we come to a number of 112 million. Throw in Hitler’s 15 million (not counting the devastating war he started!), and we come to about 127 million. Add other killings by other atheistic and totalitarian states—as a result of their atheistic ideology—you come up with a number of more than 130 million. [2]

Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s “estimates reach as high as sixty million” deaths just during Stalin’s reign of terror. [3] “Historian Robert Conquest, in The Harvest of Sorrow, his definitive account of Stalin’s reign of rural terror, estimated that 14.4 million people, half of them children, perished.” [4]

In addition to supporting an ideology that led to the deaths of more than 100 million people, today’s misinformed snowflakes hide behind the First Amendment in an attempt to make their case, a right that would not exist if they had lived in any Communist nation.

Polls like the one referenced in this article demonstrate that many people are ignorant about history, economics, religion, and logic. Many Christians fall into the ignorance category. They believe the Bible teaches socialism.

Just prior to the election of George W. Bush, I debated Jim Wallis, editor of Sojourners magazine and recipient of money from George Soros. Wallis took the position that the Bible addresses more than just abortion and homosexuality. He claimed that there are 2000 verses that speak about poverty.

This may be true, but, as Gary North points out, “he has yet to provide textual/exegetical support for his constant calls for more State welfare to the poor.” In my debate with Wallis, I asked him to show me one verse of the 2000 he says address the poor that says the government should get in the welfare business. He could not.

Liberal “values are about sticking a gun into a successful person’s belly,” Gary North states, “taking his wallet, removing an unstated percentage of the money, and handing the wallet back. ‘See you at the next election.'”

In real terms, poverty programs like Pres. Johnson’s Great Society increased the number of the poor by keeping them dependent on the State and perpetual voters for the Democrats.

  • THE MAIN REASON AS I SEE IT IS  OUR SCHOOL INDOCTRINATION SYSTEM.  WHEN LIBS TEACH OUR KIDS WHAT DO U THINK IS GNG TO HAPPEN?  THEY MAKE THEM HATE AMERICA.

WE ARE THE ONLY NATION TO FIGHT A WAR TO END SLAVERY NO ONE SAYS THAT, THEY HATE OUR HISTORY ; THE CONSTITUTION; GOD; INDIVIDUALITY; CAPITALISM AND REFUSE TO TEACH IT SO WHAT ARE WE DOING?   WHY DON'T WE TEACH OUR KIDS AND TAKE THEM TO THE GUN RANGE AND READ THE CONSTITUTION AND MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND THE COUNTRY THEY SHOULD LOVE NOT HATE.

    • I agree with all that, with the exception of:  "THE ONLY NATION TO FIGHT A WAR TO END SLAVERY"

That is not what the civil war was about.  Freeing slaves was merely a side-affect of the war.  Lincoln didn't give a damn what really happened with them, he would have preferred to send them ALL back to Africa, and offered that to any who wanted to go after the war was over.  Isn't it interesting that very very few of them chose that option....because they knew life was still better here than it was in Africa.  I can still here my 8th grade teacher after we got done studying the civil war and our semester test came around saying:  If anybody answered that one of the reason for the civil war was to free the slaves, she'd flunk us for the semester...
