State Department suggests Kerry won't testify on Benghazi

The State Department is doubling down on its opposition to Secretary of State John Kerry testifying on the deadly Benghazi attack, saying in a statement overnight that a congressional committee should find "a more appropriate witness."

Kerry will be on a previously scheduled official trip to Mexico on May 21, the day the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee subpoenaed him to testify, State spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in the statement.

Psaki said State Department officials had been in touch with the committee to "determine how to resolve their subpoena," but she stopped short of confirming that Kerry would ever appear at a hearing related to the Sept. 11, 2012, attack, which predated his time in office.

The militant attack on a U.S. consulate and nearby CIA annex killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other American personnel. An independent review panel found that the State Department had ignored requests for more guards and security upgrades and had become too reliant on local militias for security. The State Department has since participated in several congressional hearings and released thousands of documents in response to queries about its response that night.

"Given the pressing foreign affairs issues that the secretary is actively engaged on and the committee's focus on document production issues, we would like to explore whether there are better means of addressing the committee's interests, including through a more appropriate witness," Psaki's statement said.

That's diplomatic speak for: Enough already. Find somebody else to testify.

Subpoena his ass and Hillary's fat ass, and if they won't testify...THROW THEM IN JAIL UNTIL THEY DO..IT'S DONE ALL THE TIME TO ORDINARY AMERICANS , SO THEY ARE NO EXCEPTION !

Eileen, I can Her Thighness saying, "I am sorry. I do not have that answer for you gentle folks.  The answer is in another portion of my anatomy.  I should have brought me whole body, such as it is, to this austere site.  Unfortunately, I only brought my ass."  To which John Kerry The Fairy adds, "Uh, ah, Yes.  I would like to ditto exactly those same respective sentiments that Her Thighness has so artfully crafted before this most respected panel."

Just reschedule Kerry's subpoena, and fill in his date with "WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE" Hillary, lets hold her feet to the fire and see if she squeals.

The Democrats still believe that they are totally above the law and the Constitution.

Kerry is the head (ass) of the state department so who would be a "better witness"?

Yikes !!! Ocasio-Cortez: We Need A ‘Multigendered, Multigeographic’ United States

The United States of America needs to be “multigendered” and “multigeographic,” according to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who endorsed fellow socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) at the “Bernie’s Back Rally” in New York on Saturday.

The freshman lawmaker and “Squad” member officially endorsed Sanders during a rally in Queensbridge Park in Long Island City, New York, on Saturday and called for more diversity in the U.S., arguing that it should not only be “multiracial” and “multigenerational” but “multigeographic” and “multigendered.”

“We need a United States that really, truly, and authentically is operated, owned, and decided by working – and all – people in the United States of America,” Ocasio-Cortez said to applause.

“That is what it – it is multiracial, multigendered, multigenerational, and multigeographic,” she said, failing to elaborate on what that specifically looks like.

“We have to come together, not ignoring our differences but listening to them, prioritizing them, understanding injustice,” she continued.

The socialist lawmaker also implied that rampant racism is still alive and well in the U.S., telling the crowd that it is essential to understand “that we operate in a context where slavery evolved into Jim Crow, evolved into mass incarceration, [and] evolved into the realities we have today.”
