The spreading threat of children being indoctrinated into Islam claimed new ground in West Virginia to the shock of parents in and around Gerrardstown last month.

What broke the controversy was the courageous stand by a dad whose seventh-grade daughter came home with a thick learning packet on Islam.

Rich Penkoski said that he knew right away something was very wrong with the 30-page packet, remembering the slim two-sheets of paper handed out about Christianity earlier.

“It asked kids to write out the Shihaddah, and it explains that it is the Islamic confession of faith,” Penkoski said. “I said, no – you're not doing this. No.”

Martin Mawyer, president of Christian Action Network, said the Islamic indoctrination program is one of the most egregious he has ever seen.

"Children were even give a worksheet called Reading from the Koran. And it gives them quranic verses to study," Mawyer said. "Would a public school dare to ever assign a worksheet called Reading from the Bible which had students studying Christian verses? We know the answer to that. Of course not."

Penkoski called the principal at Mount Ridge Middle School and thought he had an agreement to eliminate the indoctrination portions, including an offensive assignment disguised as calligraphy practice: to copy the Islamic statement of faith in Arabic.

“My daughter, Brielle, came home the next day with a packet. It was the very same packet, with certain aspects of the assignment crossed out,” Penkoski said. “The calligraphy assignment with the Shihaddah was still there. I said, are you kidding me? You have to do this? She said, 'Yes.'”

Penkoski called the school again, adamant about speaking with no one but the principal.

“I said no, you're getting him for me later, your getting him right now. This is something that's not going to wait,” he said.

After that second conversation, Penkoski was left uncertain about all of it. The principal said the whole section would be optional, but the school administration would not respond to underlying inconsistencies between their assurances and how the materials were being presented in class.

Brielle said she could tell right away that the teaching about Islam was much more detailed than other sections on Christianity and the history of Israel, (Judaism was not particularly covered at all)

She added that talk among students included speculation that their teacher was herself Muslim.

“I said I thought so, and (a friend) said she thought so too,” Brielle said.

“There was no reason to think that these assignments were optional,” Penkoski said. “The teacher's job is not to teach doctrine, that's my job – I will do that – the teachers are not qualified to teach doctrine.”

Penkoski assessed the assignments further, finding the materials on Islam were complementary and positive, even to the point of glamorizing Islam. Meanwhile, the scant information on Christianity focused on the problem of understanding so many denominations.

"I am a minister. I know proselytizing, and that's what they did," he said.

When other parents found out, “they were outraged,” Penkoski said. “They could not believe this was happening in a public school in West Virginia.”

The history and geography class moved on to other lessons, but the problem remains. There is no agreement on proselytism and indoctrination happening again next year.

“This is a problem,” Penkoski said.

So he notified his state legislator, who put him in contact with West Virginia State Delegate Marshall Wilson of District 60, across the district line from where the Penkoskis live, and where Gerrardstown and the school are located.

Wilson said that many other parents in his district have been calling him also, and others from the region and even other states.

The outpouring of concern led to discussions about putting the state board of education under the supervision of the legislature as other boards and commissions are.

“Apparently this is going to take a constitutional amendment, to give the state legislature this oversight,” Wilson said.

Wilson added he can and is probing the matter in order to formulate an official report. One problem is that while there is a standard procedure for the selection of textbooks, and teachers are given latitude to bring in “supplementals” meaning additional material.

This led to a very obvious unevenness of material presented for Islam compared to other religions in Briele's class.

“My understanding is one teacher has chosen some supplementals,” Wilson added. “I would like to ask her, by what criteria did you choose these supplementals?”

According to Wilson, the teacher so far has refused to respond to his requests for a conversation, citing the advice of legal council.

Wilson said that in a situation like this, parents should follow Penkoski's example of response.

“I think the people of West Virginia should do what Mr. Penkoski and his family has done,” he said. “Tell them, we pay the tax dollars that support your schools. I would like to know what's going on here. And if it's not resolved, contact local state legislators.”

And after that, there is the option of seeking legal council, which Penkoski has also done. The Thomas More Law Center team representing him is considering legal options at this time, and possible court filings are pending.

Penkoski, who runs Warriors for Christ, an online gospel ministry, warns parents and all care-giving adults to closely monitor what children are being taught in public schools.

“If my daughter hadn't come to me, our kids would be further indoctrinated in Islam, and we wouldn't even know it,” he said. Most “trust the school system blindly, and schools often teach things that are directly contradicting your beliefs.”

Revelations 20:10-14 KJV ) “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”!!

Revelations 21:27 KJV ) “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever  worketh abomination, or maketh  a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”!!

Kristi

Amen, Kristi.

God helps those that help them self.  I for one will not pray over this issue, I like what Jason stated.

My opinion of course, it would make the news....:)-

Lets not forget CAIR,  I read about a lot of different political issues. There is a very powerful group pushing this Immigration, world wide. The problem, is how to share it without looking like one hates because of what race they are?

President Trump did not end this, ISIS terrorist are here and are allowed to stay, people becoming angry.

I served in the US military, did it to try and make a difference, then as well as many we find out the war is miss-used by the banking elite for money.

We fight the enemy ISIS come home and they are here, protected by what they stated as your Constitutional Law.

They are playing for keeps, should we BS!!@ the issue with soft words, or should we make a issue out of it and if rough words offend, what can I say.

Calling a thing a "religion" when the thing clearly has courts, laws, punishments, edicts, and each and every one of these things are executed through violence, is the height of ignorance and blindness.

I am a little tired Jea9, long day, posted some blogs, best is yet to come, hope it makes a difference.

LOL Tif

I am using a different wifi connection all most at 100% and 65% mbps and still I have a blank box again for to place a comment.

State School Boards and Legislators need to be held directly accountable or such unconstitutional indoctrination of their Children... law suits should be filed as legislation and corrective action by the State Board of Education is problematic and likely unworkable.... sue, sue and sue again.  Ensure that personal lawsuits against the perps responsible for promoting this type of indoctrination is taken... request the courts dismiss/fire the individuals responsible for such indoctrination as part of the settlement/judgment.

I can agree with this Ronald, but it is much deeper then Oopps!, Were Back!

LOL Tif

Again, old news... not a new revelation.  Islam thru the works of CAIR and the Obama Administration are proselytizing our children using the Public Schools.  It is time for parents everywhere to either revolt and demand the resignation of those in the Education System who have supported this advent... or too take their children out of the Public Schools, defund the public schools and to either put their children in private schools... either parochial or purely private... or homeschool.

Attempts to save or salvage the public schools are not working... period. It is getting worse, not better. America is rolling the dice with their children's education/indoctrination. America can not tolerate the communist and Islamic indoctrination of their children... and every attempt to reform the schools has failed miserably... it is not getting better. Shut them down and place referendum on the ballots to DEFUND THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM... give vouchers to Parents let them decide where to send them... simple enough.

LIGHTER SIDE

ALERT ALERT

Clinton Donor And Tax Cheat Tied To Russia

“Do as we say, not as we do.”

That seems to be the slogan for Hillary Clinton and her political allies, and it’s especially apt in light of new information about one of Clinton’s largest campaign donors.

While the left is still trying to attack President Trump and his family over unproven business dealings and largely debunked connections to Russia, a new report indicates that it was Hillary Clinton’s team who were doing those exact things.

“Fox News has learned that one of the top donors to the ‘Hillary Victory Fund’ (HVF) in 2016 was a Los Angeles-based attorney who is alleged to have misused company funds to create his own $22 million real estate portfolio,” that outlet reported on Thursday.

“He has also been considered by California to be one of the state’s biggest tax cheats, and allegedly has ties to the (Russian) Kremlin,” Fox continued.

The man’s name is Edgar Sargsyan. His deep pockets greatly benefited Clinton’s campaign, with contributions of at least $250,000 to the Hillary Victory Fund in 2016.

He was also in charge of an elite fundraising dinner to benefit Clinton, where donors paid $100,000 per couple just to attend the ritzy event. But in true Clinton fashion, the money apparently went missing.

Sargsyan is now “being sued by his former company for allegedly diverting those funds to start his own real estate company,” according to Fox.

Now, people are asking hard questions about Clinton’s buddy Sargsyan, including whether his contributions were part of a pay-to-play scheme and if he had shady connections to foreign governments.

“Nobody gave to the Hillary Victory Fund out of the goodness of their heart or some generalized desire to help 33 random state parties,” pointed out attorney Dan Backer from the Committee to Defend the President.

“They did so to buy access and curry influence — something the Clintons have been selling for nearly three decades in and out of government,” he continued.

Trying to buy political influence is sadly common, especially when it comes to the Clintons. What is raising more red flags than normal, however, is the evidence that Sargsyan is no run-of-the-mill campaign donor.

“The really scary question is, what did this particular donor with this strange web of connections hope to buy for his quarter-million dollars?” Backer asked Fox News.

That web of connections is strange indeed.

The Committee to Defend the President is now alleging that SBK, a major Sargsyan-linked company “is an investment firm that is affiliated with United Arab Emirates president, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, and its international affiliate has business interests in Russia,” according to Fox.

“Among its dealings was a bid to finance $850 million for a major bridge project to connect Crimea with Russia,” the group claims.

“He worked for SBK, and SBK appears to have bid on some Crimean/Russian bridge project,” Backer said. “That’s usually an indicator of political favor and connections.”

It raises several chilling questions: Was Sargsyan paying a quarter million dollars to Clinton for political favors, and — more disturbingly — was that money actually from sources in Russia in order to smooth the way for its construction plans?

Nobody knows for sure. What is clear, however, is that there is a pattern of dirty money surrounding the Clintons, with the “Uranium One” and “Clinton Foundation” scandals just two of the most well-known examples.

“It reinforces how fast and loose the Clinton machine was when it came to ‘Hoovering up’ these megadonor checks, not just from questionable Hollywood and Wall Street elites but potentially from foreign influence peddlers using who knows what money,” Backer told Fox News.

“It reinforces the need to take a long hard look at not just the unlawful money laundering process, but the way in which they were solicited as well,” he continued. “The Clintons have never shown a great deal of concern for whomever it was cutting the checks — whether it’s foreign influence peddlers or Hollywood smut peddlers like Harvey Weinstein.”

If those claims are even partially true, then America dodged a bullet in November of 2016 — and it’s worth keeping the pile of foreign-connected Clinton scandals in mind the next time the left tries desperately to tie Donald Trump to Russia. Perhaps they should look in the mirror.

SLAVEHOLDER??

Washington Post Compares
Jeff Sessions To Slaveholder’

The Washington Post compared Attorney General Jeff Sessions to “slaveholders” after he quoted the Bible on Thursday while discussing his department’s policy of prosecuting all illegal immigrants who cross the border.

Sessions made the statement during a speech to law enforcement officers in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

WaPo ran a story entitled “Sessions cites Bible passage used to defend slavery in defense of separating immigrant families” by general assignment editor Keith McMillan and religion reporter Julie Zauzmer on Friday.

Rather than detailing the statistics Sessions cited in the speech that explain the immigration policy, the story quoted John Fea, a history professor at Messiah College in Pennsylvania.

“This is the same argument that Southern slaveholders and the advocates of a Southern way of life made,” Fea said.

Sessions spent much of the speech discussing the numbers behind current immigration policy, including separating families at the Southwest border.

“I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained the government for his purposes,” Sessions said.

“Orderly and lawful processes are good in themselves. Consistent and fair application of the law is in itself a good and moral thing, and that protects the weak and protects the lawful.”

“The previous administration wouldn’t prosecute aliens if they came with children,” Sessions said.

“It was de-facto open borders if you came with children. The results were unsurprising. More and more illegal aliens started showing up at the border with children.”

Sessions laid out the numbers in the speech.

“In 2013, fewer than 15,000 family units were apprehended crossing our border illegally between ports of entry in dangerous areas of the country,” he said.

“Five years later, it was more than 75,000, a five-fold increase in five years. It didn’t even have to be their child that was brought, it could be anyone. You can imagine that this created a lot of danger.”

The U.S. has the “opportunity” to fix its broken immigration system now, Sessions said.

“I believe that’s it’s moral, right, just and decent that we have a lawful system of immigration,” he said. “The American people have been asking for it.”
