Bill Clinton irked he doesn’t get same respect as Ronald Reagan

Former President Bill Clinton is down in the dumps and a little bit jealous these days. You see, his fellow Democrats don’t show him the same degree of respect that Republicans give to the late Ronald Reagan.

Bubba’s case of the green-eyed monster directed at the Gipper is all laid out in a New York Times Sunday Magazine piece, which was available Friday online, according to the Washington Examiner.

“People close to Bill Clinton have told me repeatedly that it irks them that Democrats don’t talk about the dignified, slimmed-down, silver-haired former president with the same reverence Republicans give Ronald Reagan,” Amy Chozick wrote for the Times.

Clinton was and is a lying dog

Show me a president in the last 100 years or even 150 years that 100% respected the Constitution and did not waver !

Even Abe Lincoln Violated his oath of office!  Let us examine a few presidents and their records

Lincoln;  Civil war was unconstitutional !

Grant; Reconstruction was unconstitutional

Wilson:  FED and Income tax and Troops in WWI  unconstitutional

FDR;  almost everything he did Unconstitutional

Truman;  same as FDR

How about the modern Presidents ?

Ronald Reagan ?  He could not help but do unconstitutional things and every president is guilty of presiding over a government that violates the constitution in principals and actions.

Obama is as bad as the get !

The answer

Return to the Constitutional limited government that the founders imagined.

James,

As bad as Woodrow Wilson, FDR and some of the other Presidents were.........they don't hold a candle to Barack Hussein Obama.  It is like we didn't terminate Osama Bin Laden, but we brought him to Washington D.C. and installed him as President.  We also brought 400 plus of his most dedicated Jihadis and put them in Congress along with five trusted Bin Laden cohorts to pack into the Supreme Court.  Now, if we had done all this..........would we be worse off today than we are?

Of course the Civil War was unconstitutional, but Lincoln didn't start it. He had to fight it. He might have given the south a reason to secede, because their candidate didn't win, but come on.

Right. it wasn't Lincoln who fired on Fort Sumter.

You need to read the Constitution and understand it.

You obviously do not/.

The south had the "RIGHT"  to withdraw from the union!

The Civil Was was not about Slavery it was about power and money and control.

I have said this over and over but people just don't get it ! The end of slavery was really an after thought for Lincoln , he did not want to completely abolish slavery , did he ?

Fleas and all, and perhaps a few crabs to boot.

Clinton wouldn't make a pimple on President Reagans butt!!!!

YES HE WOULD! :)

This gives some insight into the lack of values and self perception liberal/progressives have. bill clinton thinks he deserves the kind of respect we give Ronald Reagan. He does not consider lieing a character flaw. (He lost his law license due to this one) He sees nothing wrong with cheating on his wife. He stands behind his destructive liberal/progressive agenda.

Triptolemus,

Maybe we could give Bill (BJ) Clinton an Oscar for the top Presidential porn star in American History.  I am sure people like John Kennedy and Lindon Johnson would be in the runing but Bill (BJ) Clinton's exploits were much more exposed (no pun intended) to public view.

Joe Biden Talks To The Dead: – He Worked On Paris Climate Deal With Long-Dead Chinese Leader

Former Vice President Joe Biden mistakenly claimed on Monday that he worked on the Paris Climate Accord with former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping — who died more than 20 years before its signing.

Zach Parkinson

Joe Biden claimed tonight that he worked with Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping on the Paris Climate Accord.

Except the current Chinese President is Xi Jinping.

Deng Xiapoing left office in 1992 and has been dead for 23 years.

Biden made the gaffe while citing his accomplishments in President Barack Obama’s administration.

“One of the things I’m proudest of is getting passed, getting moved, getting in control of the Paris Climate Accord,” Biden said in a speech at the College of Charleston. “I’m the guy who came back after meeting with Deng Xiaoping and making the case that I believe China will join if we put pressure on them. We got almost 200 nations to join.”

Xiaoping served as the leader of China from 1978 until his retirement in 1992, and passed away in 1997. Xi Jinping, China’s current president, came to power 2013 and signed the country onto the 2016 agreement.

In June 2017, President Trump announced that the U.S. would withdraw from the agreement, stating that accord will “undermine the economy” and “puts [the United States] at a permanent disadvantage.”

In addition to the Xiaoping gaffe, Biden bizarrely declared in a campaign speech that he is a “candidate for the United States Senate” and that people could “vote for the other Biden” if they prefer one of his rivals.

“My name is Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate. Look me over, if you like what you see, help out. If not, vote for the other Biden,” the 77-year-old said at the First in the South Dinner.

Biden’s confusing comments come as Democrat primary candidates are scheduled to debate in Charleston Tuesday evening. The former vice president faces increasing pressure to give a standout performance as his “firewall” in the Palmetto State crumbles in the face of a surging Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). The Vermont senator is fresh off a decisive victory in Nevada caucuses on Saturday. Earlier this month, he placed first the New Hampshire primary and won the popular vote in Iowa. In a survey released Monday, the Public Policy Polling outfit said Biden leads South Carolina with 36 percent of support and Sanders is in second at 21 percent.
