Air Force Lt. Gen. Craig Franklin out over sexual assault decisions

Did this quote put him in Obama's crosshairs?

An Air Force general at the center of criticism of the military’s sexual assault policies is stepping down as the Pentagon works to clean up its ranks under the close watch of President Barack Obama and Congress.

Lt. Gen. Craig Franklin will step down at the end of the month from his post as the commander of the Third Air Force amid questions that he’s mishandled prosecutions in two sexual assault cases.

In the most high-profile case, Franklin last spring overturned the jury conviction and sentence of a fighter pilot. His decision prompted an outcry from lawmakers who said he was protecting one of his men and led to major legislative changes to the military’s World War II-era justice system.

Yeah, well, I was attempting a bit of humor from "Satin"...

...Along that line, I didn't know that "Nelson" was a "Polish" name!

Yeah... third generation Pollock on my god mothers side.  LOL

Carry on, sir.

Heh.

Maybe shortened from Nelsonski?

[chortle]

Actually Nelsonolinzski

In the Marines anyone with a name like that would have been called, "Alphabet"!

lol

I really like the general's picture; he is the square-jawed, clean-shaven, bright-eyed, American manly man!  Most of the men I knew when I was a child in the 1950's looked like him, and I wanted to be one of them when I grew up.

What became of America and American men?

This Officer getting dumped is not anything new and he isn’t the first and won’t be the last. What the Pentagon is doing under Chuck Hegel is trumping up reasons to dump these officers who won’t tow the line with the illegal NDAA in support of UN Agenda 21. Remember the NDAA basically throws the Posse Comitatus act of 1878 out the window. Many of these senior officers realize what this means and don’t like the idea of having to turn their weapons on American citizens at the direction of the POTUS.

Its time for men of conscience too consider what they must do... to maintain their oath of office and their duty to a nation under siege from within.

Agree Ron, but as it is, all the men of conscience are being dismissed from the military and replaced by a new breed. I have the sad displeasure of working with these politically correct sissy boys and girls and I can tell you, it ain’t the military we were in anymore and the officers are pathetic and not fit to shine our boots for us.

Ammo is still relatively cheap [just like Silver] -- so get 'em while their hot !!   IMHO, gathering priority PREPPING stuff, is only 2nd to getting right with the Lord !  Be "nice" to people in general, and don't make waves so the cops, and thought police won't look at you and your home to discover all your "goodies."   The day will come, and soon, when we will have to Spring into Action, and you don't want to go into battle with just a stone axe or a sling shot !!   Learn to hide things, and train your family/ kids to say NOTHING !  jUST MY 2 CENTS WORTH.

Gohmert: Dems Will Drag Out Impeachment — Try To Get ‘Best Socialist’ Nominated For President

During an appearance on Huntsville, AL radio’s WVNN on Thursday, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) offered his best assessment of what House Democrats were trying to accomplish with their impeachment efforts.

Gohmert told WVNN’s “The Jeff Poor Show” impeachment could tie up the Democratic Party’s presidential campaign efforts but predicted Democrats would use the occasion to nominate “the best socialist” they can.

“They would lose in the Senate,” Gohmert said on impeachment. “And besides that, the entire time it was on trial in the Senate, the Democrats who are running for president wouldn’t be allowed to campaign. That’s in the Constitution. They wouldn’t be able to campaign. I just can’t imagine them wanting to do that because if they send it to the Senate, they have now perfectly set up the scenario of 1996, where they will reassure Donald Trump is reelected as president. They don’t want to do that. They’re probably going to drag this thing out as long as they possibly can … through Iowa, through primaries — try to get the best socialist they can to be nominated.”

“Then just end up and say, ‘Now we’re close enough to the general election. We’ve thrown mud at the president through the House,’” he continued. “What they’re really doing — they’re using taxpayer funds to campaign against Trump. That’s all this is — a campaign fund that taxpayers are paying for in order to try to throw mud at the president. I’ll be surprised if they have that vote, but I can’t imagine they want to set up this president for reelection by having a trial in the Senate where they lose.”
