Ric Grenell Group to Do What California Republican Party Won’t—SUE for Honest Voting Rolls

Last year the Secretary of State authorized at least 440,000 live ballots going to dead people and those that moved out of State.  The California Republican Party, responsible to 5 million registered Republicans that we hold honest elections.  The Chair of the CRP has been silent.  Now, it no longer matters.  Like most political actions, the Chair Jessica Patterson and the CRP has abdicated political action.

Now Ric Grennell has formed an organization to do two important things—neither of which the CRP is willing to do—sue for honest voting rolls—and promote education choice.  More proof of the CRP being a hallow organization.  It is the grass roots and outsiders that are doing the work supposed to be done by the Party.

“Grenell told Fox News that “Fix California’s” three main focuses will be suing counties in California to clean up their voter rolls; registering voters and researching paths to expand school choice in the state.

“We’re going to go after the frustrated ‘decline to state’ voters,” Grenell said. “People who recognize that the pendulum has swung too far left and needs to come back”

Grenell said one way to drive turnout in 2022 specifically is to make school choice a significant issue. There’s been massive frustration with the status of school reopenings in California, which lag behind most of the country

Congrats to Ric Grenell for getting to the heart of the issue. Maybe this will embarrass the California Republican party to do something substantial—not just form a perfunctory committee to “study” the issue.  In 2020 the Secretary of State authorized sending 440,000 ballots to dead people and those who had moved out of State.  The CRP ignored this fraud and corruption and did nothing.

Grenell group seeks to reshape California politics beyond recall: Californians want ‘permanent change’

Group follows similar model to Stacey Abrams’ ‘Fair Fight,’ Loeffler’s ‘Greater Georgia’

By Tyler Olson | Fox News, 4/8/21

A panel of California parents slam the governor’s dishonesty on ‘Fox & Friends First.’

EXCLUSIVE: Former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell — the subject of pervasive speculation that he may run against California Gov. Gavin Newsom in a recall election — is starting a voter group in California aimed at bringing “permanent” change to the state’s political landscape.

The group, called “Fix California,” is in the model of Stacey Abrams’ highly successful “Fair Fight” in Georgia, focusing on voter registration and issue advocacy. Former Sen. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., made a similar move a few weeks ago, starting an organization called “Greater Georgia.”

Grenell said “Fix California’s” vision goes beyond the current recall effort for Newsom, which appears to have enough signatures to trigger an election and has grabbed plenty of media headlines.

The top Trump ally said that even if Newsom is successfully recalled — a process that is not complete and is still rife with pitfalls, Grenell says — the new governor would only be in office briefly before the 2022 election.

“What I’m consistently hearing from activists and donors is that after a year of our economy being shut down for political reasons and Zoom school, that people in California want permanent change,” he said.

Grenell told Fox News that “Fix California’s” three main focuses will be suing counties in California to clean up their voter rolls; registering voters and researching paths to expand school choice in the state.

“We’re going to go after the frustrated ‘decline to state’ voters,” Grenell said. “People who recognize that the pendulum has swung too far left and needs to come back”

Grenell said conservatives in California had largely stopped focusing on Democrats’ efforts to move the state far to the left about a decade ago, realizing they did not have the political capital to stop them. California Republicans would help GOP candidates in other states, he said, until Democrat policies had become so “disastrous” that Republicans would have a chance to win back California voters.

Now, thanks to Democrats’ performance during the coronavirus pandemic, Grenell said, conservatives have a chance to change the state’s trajectory.

“We’ve been waiting for the last 10 years for that moment to show the electorate that progressive policies are bad for the largest state in the union, and what COVID has done is sped up the ability for Republicans to point to the disastrous policies and blame the one-party control of the state – the Democrats,” he said.

Of course, any effort to move California to the right is going to be a massive uphill climb. California voters went for President Biden over former President Trump by a nearly two-to-one margin in 2020. The state hasn’t elected a Republican statewide since 2006, when it gave former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger a second term in office.

Democrats are pushing back against the Newsom recall effort as a fringe power grab tied to Trump and will likely do the same to any GOP efforts to win statewide as well.

“We got here because a faction led by Trump Republicans are trying to do a major power-grab because they lost power in Washington, D.C.,” Ace Smith, a strategist for Newsom, told the Sacramento Press Club. “They have an agenda and let’s be clear about what that agenda is. It’s about repealing Roe v. Wade… It’s about killing affordable health care.”

Smith continued to say that the recall is “a campaign being fueled by bigots, racists, haters, Proud Boys, QAnon conspiracy theorists and anti-vaxxers.”

Grenell — who has refused to say whether he will run for California governor in the runoff — told Fox News the Newsom recall effort is instead a reflection on voters’ frustration with a mismanaged state and an allegedly hypocritical governor.

“We see so many parents who have watched in horror as their kids have been forced into Zoom school the last year. Gavin Newsom has lied about dealing with the impact of Zoom school. He hasn’t dealt with it because his kids have been in in-person learning since last year,” Grenell said. “He also said we are not going back to normal. We can’t go back to normal because normal isn’t good… He said the quiet part out loud.”

Still, Grenell said, the recall might get Newsom out of office, but it will take a large effort to realign California’s politics.

“I’m telling our donors when I meet with them that this is not a sexy, quick fix like one hyped-up statewide race,” Grenell said. “This is a four-year campaign to fix California and to do the long-term reforms that we know we need.”

  • "Still, Grenell said, the recall might get Newsom out of office, but it will take a large effort to realign California’s politics."

A generational issue since 1966. But sooner or later, sane folks have to pry the reigns of power out of the kooks, or suffer calamity.

  • "Do you think this will work? After all, California is soooo blue that I am not hopeful. BUT I could be very surprised!" -The Tradesman

I'd like to surpise you! I find that common sense in politics (if such a thing exists) is actually present pretty much everywhere in California (and in some parts of 'Frisco). But like Draculas influence in the drawing room, overbearing Marxist self assurance in state government office and actions has a way of discouraging a diversity of effective political expressions. It insists on being the default position in all things California political. But autocracies have been known to fall, given time and opportunity. The California Progressive Socialist reign only really gained pre-eminence in the full time spending legislature of 1966. As I saw it.

  • Counting on Elections to change anything is now delusional... Dominion logarithms select the winners... not the people.s vote.

    • The machines cannot prevail against the Peoples will in their discard. Their use is policy, not Constitutional mandate.

    • Skeptical...

Are you smoking something? The Machines (Dominion Tabulation Computers) have already prevailed against the will of the People... Pres. Trump is in Florida and Joe Biden is in the Oval Office.  One has to be willfully delusional to expect the next Election cycle will somehow result in the needed Government reform... it is not going to happen.

The Bills presently before Congress to fix our elections promise only greater voter and election fraud...  A  Constitutional mandate without a majority in the seats of government power is nearly useless. As long as we permit the Marxist Democrats to use the Stalinist System of elections as our model for conducting elections, The Oval Office, Congress, and the SCOTUS will all remain in the hands of the corrupt.

It is dangerous to ignore facts... too, expect a failed Electoral System to rescue the Republic.  We need to developed alternative means to remove the corrupt from government power.  The several States need to call for an Article 5 Convention and use it to recall the sitting government subject to new elections.  We must insist that our State Legislatures use anti-commandeering and Nullification acts, to restrain any further usurpations of the States and People's sovereign rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  We need to find leaders capable of organizing, funding, resourcing, and mustering the numbers needed to mobilize the nation in support of Constitutional resistance to any further decay in our system of Government.

The Conservative Patriot Movement must properly examine its options and paths to Peaceful Constitutional reform... adopting the use of models like the Lech Walesa Polish Solidarity Movement and the Civil Rights movement of the '60s... The Patriot has not yet organized and resisted unto the letting of blood and may not need such sacrifice if we properly use every Constitutional tool for restraining corrupt government that our Forefathers left for our use.

    • "....in their discard". Government cannot justifiably insist on maintaining the illicit means of beating the People, if the People require the means to be discarded. What is the government arguement," For the sake of procedural convenience, a highly undependable and actually prone to fraud computer means of vote tabulation will be utilized, regardless of voter protest?

Or even less sincere but more likely, "Due to pandemic hazard, minimalizing physical human participation in mass activities like vote casting and collection/tabulation will be restricted wherever technologically feasible. Computer voting machines are a worthwhile means. It is for the common good."

When the Peoples Will is a loud "NO" and won't take excuses, just how does a directly recallable by voters, impeachable by state legislatures, government servant disobediently walk around that? (this is a certain governors current reality)

If you see that stance taken by folks, I am hoping you will feel a measure of relief toward our Nations future possibilities. I say we are at our crossroad to choose now. The Universe owes no one a living, who can't be bothered to mind his lunch. Our reality is still resolvable.

I suspect you of being an organizer. Maybe that would be good servicing for personal well-being? But your choice either way.

Our silver lining can be that a Convention of States is more likely, when alarm about Constitutional fundamentals becomes evident. Boy are they IMHO.

    • Col. I have been pushing for a states petitioned for Article-V convention since 2010. People are split on definitions and seemingly unaware that Article-V controls the Amendment Process for everyone. The problem is the idea that a COS would work better when there is nothing in the Constitution about a Convention of States. The process for the article-V is written out to both Congress and the States. Presently it takes 34 States to petition Congress for an Amendment Proposal Convention. By Constitutional Law, Congress MUST call it when 34 States ask for it, then stand back and allow the States to make proposals. The 34 States must agree on the proposals and the exact wording of those proposals before they send them to Congress. Then congress by Law must send them out to all 50 states for Ratification. 3/4 of the States must ratify them for them to become law.

The problem comes with all the misinformation or deliberate disinformation. The basic premise of the COS is if 38 States propose and pass an amendment it becomes law. That is patently untrue. All 50 states must be able to vote on Ratification. The other problem is people like Publius contend that a States called Article-V could open up the main body of the constitution and change it. Again patently untrue. People don't seem to understand that amendments only change how the main body of the constitution is interpreted, and the amendments themselves are basically temporary since they can be repealed like the 18th was repealed. All the safeguards existing for a Congressional Amendment proposal convention are there in place for a States called one, with the exception of congress not being able to propose amendments at a States called convention.

The real problem is; All the congressional politicians and their parties are terrified the people will realize we can change things like; setting term limits, or curtailing Federal/Congressional powers. We could even propose an amendment making it possible for the people to override and branch of governments unwanted/objectionable law or ruling, with a vote of 3/4 of the people deciding to do it. We could also make an amendment which would levy severe financial and other penalties on congress for not creating a balanced budget by a certain date. We could repeal the 16th Amendment and go back to apportioned taxation ending income taxes. We could repeal the 17th amendment and return the Senators to their proper role of representing their States instead of their political parties. We could even bolster the 2nd Amendment  to repeal all the existing laws and regulations, and require any new laws or regulations be approved by a 3/4 affirmative vote of the people. We could even outlaw voting machines and require paper ballots to be cast at polling places with the exception of active duty military, Americans in foreign countries, truly handicapped, or old people being the only ones allowed to use mail in ballots, and require the ballots be kept for 10 years intact.

    • The States are turning out to be a big or bigger problem than the Federal Government... they could have dealt with the fraudulent election directly avoiding the courts by simply passing a resolution calling the election a fraud and refusing to send electors to Congress... the result would have been an Election by the House under the 12th and 20th Amendments... one vote per state delegation... The GOP has several more States than the Dems so Trump would have prevailed.

Now we find the States will not use their power to correct the 2020 miscarriage of justice... to craft and pass a Recall Amendment, to recall all the elected and subsequently appointed officials, subject to new elections and appointments. The several States have the power to restore Constitutional government using the AMendment process to correct federal overreach. They can strip the Federal Government of some or all of its powers by Amendment... restructuring, limiting, and organizing a new federal government if they so desire.

    • Let's see, how is your assessment playing out... Machines 1 People 0.  The Machine ballot count appears well supported ... not one state has passed a resolution declaring the 2020 Election a Fraud by Dominion's logarithmic ballot reassignment.

    • General unawareness? Functional clumsiness made inheirant in government response and accountability.? Progressives crave lightening quick change to facilitate the yen to change governments nature faddishly. With properly pared down government involvement in daily life, any change ought to be overwhelmingly deliberative (maddening to progressive interests), with unradical result. Historical turn of the 20th century government radical change, and neglecting corrections (beyond the Volstead act real), has us where we are now. I cannot be tasked singly for our societies shortcomings as government masters, but I can hope to be an element in our servants reconstituted reform.

The word is spreading. The federal travesty is becoming widely perceived as daily life is experiencing resultant uncertainty and jeopardy. This issue is not just you or me, it is everyone.
