The Taliban haven't captured all of Afghanistan yet. One province has vowed to resist

"CNN) As the Taliban firm up their grip on Afghanistan, there is one remote region whose resistance to the militant group goes back decades. Now, the last major holdout is under threat."

The Taliban have been massing forces in and around Panjshir province, the only one yet to fall under the militants' control. On Monday, the Taliban said they had captured three districts in the Panjshir Valley.

This makes one question if the 'Tail is wagging the Dog', and whether the reported abandonment of the Afghan military was ALL OF THE STORY or even reality. If suddenly we discover elements of the Afghan military resisting, why wouldn't our Generals and State Department encourage them? Instead, they took the Woke position, evacuating tens of thousands of Afghan civilians and military refugees to the USA.  It would have made more sense to support their resistance than to remove their fighting men.

Why did the State Department abandon DECADES of US Foreign policy... for a new way forward; a progressive retreat on the world stage, and the abandonment of our allies in Afghanistan and NATO?  Why didn't Biden order airstrikes and our General's counsel to support Afgan's military in the suppression of a numerically and materially inferior enemy?  Why give Afghanistan to the Taliban?  Evidently, every former President before Biden got it wrong, as Biden reverses decades of anti-Taliban policy, giving them an open door to remake Afghanistan a haven for Islamic terrorists.

I smell a very big rat in the works... just how much do we actually know about what was reported to be FACT?... Where are the situation interviews with the Afghan Generals, their Ministries, and President?  Was this event an exercise in canned propaganda, a Hollywood production?  In retrospect, I continue to be amazed at how easily the Afgan military ran.  Were they informed they were on their own? Were they told they must cut a deal with the Taliban, or migrate to the USA?  If so, it would place them in an impossible position, trust the Taliban or migrate to the USA. Did our State Department tell the Afghan military that if they chose not to fight, they would all be evacuated to America? Was that the choice offered to the Afgan Military?  If so, one can understand why the Afghan military folded up shop and got in line for a trip to Disney World.  What Afghan would choose a decades-long fight with the Taliban over a get out of jail free card and a trip to the US? I smell a rat a very big one.

  • Afghan military makes monumental advances in challenging the Taliban in Panjshir Valley... just maybe this scenario could have repeated itself all across Afghanistan if the State Department and Generals had decided o support the Afghan Military rather than offering them a trip to America, to avoid decades of struggle against the Taliban.  Did Biden broker the betrayal of Afghanistan to the Taliban?
