I am an old guy and I can remember the following things, can you ? [doubt it]
We could swim in the local lake at a public access point where there were no lifeguards and it was common knowledge that you did so at your own risk.
Today the signs say no swimming Trespasser will be arrested and they enforce the rules!
When I was a Senior in High school [mid 1960's] I carried a Rifle to school on the school bus along with 100 rounds of ammo for it [ an M1 Garand /30/06 ] I was on the rifle team of my school and a lot of schools had rifle teams.
Today can you imagine the result? who did this and why did we let them?
I remember my first time tiding on a commercial jet airliner and at the airport there were no x-ray machines or TSA pat downs and I got on the plane with my pocket knife and my rifle was checked through with out any questions at all, I was going hunting out west with my Dad.
Today it is a major undertaking and red tape is everywhere.
in 1968 we were just beginning to really loose our freedom, today in 2012 we are 90% there!
I wonder if we can roll back the intrusiveness of our government and restore at least some of that freedom or are we done with the grand experiment began in 1776 ?
There are just 2 laws I would like to see revoked this presidential term
1, The law forcing employers to withhold your taxes on your income!
What would that do? Well if every one had to write a check every quarter like business does I do believe that taxes on income would end!
2, The Patriot act and all its parts!

One of the major problems we face in this country is way to many laws. Laws are necessary for an orderly society, but in the past decades we've heaped law after law after law on the previous laws already in place. The whole legal system has grown like a malignant cancer with no end in sight. I propose that effective immediately, for every new law passed, 100 old laws must be repealed. That's for the first 10 years. Then it would go to 50 laws, etc. Let's get back to a balance. Also, when the laws become reasonable and common sense, we won't need the miriad of lawyers and judges can be chose from those who have good common sense, not on the basis of their law degrees and political affiliation.
60,000 Lawyers in the USA....80% of them are registered Democrats, they create problems to keep their jobs going, the longer the problems go on, the more important they become( in their own minds), the less the problem gets solved. Common Sense, verses litigation....Then we have laws we do not understand, cannot follow, and lawsuits. The Lawyers love it, the American People and Tax payers hate it, we ask for torte reform, none gets passed because 80% of lawyers are Democrats, they stop it from passing...problem continues, liberalism, socialism grows. Once given something, it is hard to take it away....people sue. Look how many lawsuits Obama has filed against our own states. He is useless. So are most of the liberals. They are destroying America, if you speak out, they create a slow down, strike, or some problem for you, but they do not understand, we have only just begun to fight. I could care less if they are a friend of mine, they have become so much of a problem, it's laughable. The joke is getting real old. They are out of time, money, and skills. They know nothing, yet act as if they know it all....the handwriting is on the wall...

We have let Liberal politicians and lawyers create law for our protection. It's a two edged sword, the more laws they create for our protection, the less freedom we have.
When our leaders(both sides)get serious about the Constitution and our rights then there will be change.At the RNC convention a lot of speakers talked about the Constitution now lets see what they say at the DNC about the greatest document ever written.
