4063605399?profile=originalWith the continuing furor erupting concerning the highly partisan nature displayed by Candy Crowley during the second presidential debate, the real question has evaded the American voter.  Who is truly responsible for acts of journalistic misconduct and what should be done when a debate moderator decides to go rogue, as Crowley did in favoring Obama?

The Commission on Presidential Debates is the organization which sponsors the presidential and vice presidential debates and it claims that these debates will be conducted in “a professional and nonpartisan manner.”  What happens when the journalist moderator interjects herself into the debate, in order to blunt a candidate’s momentum, as Crowley did to republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney?

Presidential Debate Commission Rules:

(c) With respect to all questions...

(iv) The moderator will not ask follow-up questions or comment on either the questions asked by the audience or the answers of the candidates during the debate or otherwise intervene in the debate except to acknowledge the questioners from the audience or enforce the time limits,

Crowley deliberately and intentionally broke the agreed upon rules, and decided as Obama has decided during the course of his administration, that rules don’t apply and the ends justify the means.

So, what recourse do the American people have when a journalist is selected who openly ignores the rules in conducting the debate and in comments leading up to the debate?  What happens when the journalist moderator interjects herself into the debate, in order to blunt a candidate’s momentum, as Crowley did to republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney?

The easy answer is to say; simply that Republicans and GOP candidates who are the favorite targets of biased coverage in the mainstream media should just grit their teeth and bare it.  But that is not what the American public needs to see or should have to endure.  If a presidential debate commission purports to field “unbiased reporters” who are going to be fair and balanced moderators, then failing to do so should result in a penalty, and or permanent suspension of the reporter and their affiliated network from future participation in debates.

According to the national Verified Voting Foundation, in 2012 there are approximately 180,802,372 registered voters in America.  Voters are entitled to see a debate that is free from a moderator who appears to purposely steer a debate, to benefit the incumbent president Obama. Crowley’s behavior becomes even more suspect when one considers that Obama was increasingly losing ground to the republican challenger Mitt Romney.

Did CNN senior political reporter Candace Crowley conduct herself in a professional and nonpartisan manner?  Examine her earlier statement, when she announced that she would evade and ignore the professional rules of journalistic conduct, and inject herself into the presidential debate if and when she saw fit. So one has to question, who judges the moderators when moderators declare that they are above the rules as Crowley did?

It’s possible that the American people can supply the answer. ( Read More )

  • The job of a good moderator is to enhance the conversation between the candidates and the voters.  But apparently, Candy Crowley came armed with documents to support her agenda. The  document that she used to cut off Mitt Romney was conveniently located at the top of the pile? The debate was a fixed crock.  The media is a crock.  I have lost respect for FOX News.  In the pre-debate discussion, a Fox News Reporter took umbrage to criticism of Candy Crowley via Twitter.  The reporter, also female, commented on how comments could be made before the debate had started.  It seemed to me that Ms. Crowley's attitude was very condescending  to the questioners during one of the pre-debate interviews she had on FOX. referring as the questions as being more "parochial,  and more concerned with "my" benefits, "my" job" etc., etc.  We were correct to tweet, and think, because her behavior supported a negative view of her attitude.  She did not do the job of a moderator, and worst of all, showed the President of the United States as an individual who needed an interpreter.

  • SHE SHOULD BE FIRED.  SHE VIOLATED THE RULES FOR BEING A MODERATOR.  Besides being a liberal member of the media, she knew all the questions and directed the debate having that knowledge.  Actually just what I expected since the media wants Obama re elected at all cost.  Hope Americans with any brains have been watching what OBAMA HAS BEEN DOING AND NOT LISTENING TO THE ENDLESS  LIES SPEWING FROM HIS LIPS.

  • She should be fired.  She violated most ruled governing being a moderator- prompted the president(incorrectly), and directing

certain loaded questions to certain a certain individual giving inadequate response time.  Not knowing what questions that were to be asked is a laugh-It became obvious as the debate continued.  SHE AND THE PRESIDENT KNEW ALL THE DEBATE  TOPICS.  SHE ALSO MADE SURE OBAMA HAD THE LAST SPEECH  WITH NO CHANCE AT REBUTTAL.  She is obviously a liberal and very biased and had no business being a moderator.  OF COURSE IT IS WHAT i EXPECTED- THE MEDIA WANTS OBAMA RE ELECTED AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.  Hope most people still have the sense to see what is happening and not listen to the lies spewing from Obama.

  • The only way for all of us to truly effect a difference in people like M's Crowley and other so called journalist and the main stream media itself is to not listen to them or watch any of their channels. They will get the message and begin to return to what journalism really is, It is not their opinions being use to  brsainwash the population, it is to report all of the news without bias. Unfortunately we have many just plain stupid people out there. College students who could not tell you the difference between capitalism, socialism, and communism, or why we as a nation even exist, how it came to be or why, who the people are in politic or their ideology. Students and parents have been brainwashed for some years now that all must go to college and we all know this is not true. But the question is why did this swing begin, why did everyone believe this nonsense, didn't anyone question this or understand there had to be an underlying reason? Of course there was, it was a unique way to brainwash the population, especially the ones who didn't belong in college to begin with. Not that they did not have a gift to do something else useful, something else the true college bound student was not capable of as we all are different and have special abilities that others do not. Sometimes we are slow to awaken, but awaken most of us have, so do something about it, be paasionate, especially with those stupid, lazy people out there, let then know whats ahead for them and their loved ones if they don't wake up. Stop listening and watching the main stream media, hit them where it will destroy them the quickest, in the pocket book!!!

  • Could the TEA Party get Judge Janine Piro to slap a suit on her? I bet she would. Judge Piro is a true American and cares about the law.

  • JUST ANOTHER OBAMA ZOMBIE.

  • Hey... the woman is 64 years old and has just closed the book on her career.  I hope she negotiated a generous payoff from the DNC or Obama and Co. for her assistance/life-line during the debate.  Fortunately, she may have too taken her network down with her!

  • No, she should be shunned.

  • Are you sure that wasn't Biden in drag? The more I look at the photo I do not see a woman in the picture.

  • I am seeing a post deleted in 5...4...3...2...
