Texas’s Largest County Settles 

Lawsuit Over Noncitizens on Voter Rolls

{ freebeacon.com } ~ The largest county in Texas settled a lawsuit with a watchdog group after refusing to release records dealing with noncitizens on its voter rolls... A federal district court in Houston entered a settlement agreement this week between the Harris County voter registrar and the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF). The settlement calls for the county to turn over records on its cancellations of ineligible voters, copies of registration applications that have blank or negative responses to citizenship questions, and all registrar communications with law enforcement regarding ineligible registrants, among other records. Officials from Harris County, the most populous county in Texas, previously testified that "thousands" of noncitizens were discovered on its voter rolls every year. The settlement comes as the election watchdog group seeks to clean voter rolls in major cities ahead of the November elections. Democrats have pushed back against attempts to clean voter rolls, often calling them "purges." Individuals removed for ineligibility tend to belong to demographic groups that lean Democrat. Texas has in recent years become a target of national Democrats, who have poured millions into the Lone Star State in attempts to gain power. PILF initially sought access to Harris County's voter information in December 2017 under Section 8 of the National Voters Registration Act of 1993. The act allows individuals to look at records "concerning the implementation of programs and activities conducted for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and currency of official lists of eligible voters." PILF wanted information on registrants who were removed for being noncitizens but was refused access to the documents. The group sent a final notice in January 2018 warning the county it would face litigation if it continued to block PILF's inspection. County officials did not budge. PILF filed its lawsuit in March 2018. "For more than a decade, Harris County officials lobbied for or against state and federal election reforms citing the fact that noncitizens were becoming registered there," Logan Churchwell, communications director for PILF, told the Washington Free Beacon. "We know this is a problem around the country. Harris County records can provide the largest sampling of the reported problems in Texas and identify system flaws in need of attention." "Our elections cannot afford weaknesses," Churchwell said. "We must plug gaps that are impacting citizens and immigrants alike." European Union: The End?

{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ Since the outbreak of coronavirus in Italy, Italians have learned that other European Union member states do not always practice the beautiful words that they like to preach -- especially solidarity... Solidarity is supposedly a fundamental principle of the European Union. It is enshrined in the EU treaties and the EU refers to it as one of its goals. According to article 222 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, one of the two principal treaties of the European Union: "The Union and its Member States shall act jointly in a spirit of solidarity if a Member State is... the victim of a natural or man-made disaster. The Union shall mobilise all the instruments at its disposal... to assist a Member State in its territory, at the request of its political authorities, in the event of a natural or man-made disaster". The EU has invoked the solidarity principle when it comes to receiving migrants: During the 2015 migrant crisis, the EU assigned each EU country a fixed quota of migrants and refugees to accept. In 2017, the EU took  Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) over their refusal to take migrants. In late October 2019, the Advocate General, legal advisor to the Court, said that EU law must be followed and that the EU's principle of solidarity "necessarily sometimes implies accepting burden-sharing". The Court has yet to issue a ruling on the issue, but it usually follows the advice of the Advocate General. The EU even has a specific unit, the  Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC), which operates under the EU's Civil Protection Mechanism, which helps both EU and certain non-EU states with crisis management, in accordance with the solidarity principle. This is where Italy appealed for help at the beginning of its coronavirus crisis -- and received in return exactly nothing. "We asked for supplies of medical equipment, and the European Commission forwarded the appeal to the member states," Italy's permanent representative to the EU, Maurizio Massari, told Foreign Policy. "But it didn't work." In addition, Germany and France, leading EU member states, even  imposed bans or limitations on the export of facemasks and protective equipment. This drew mild criticism from European Union officials, such as Stella Kyriakides, the EU's Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, who had to remind member states, fruitlessly, that, "Solidarity is key."...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/15774/european-union-the-end

No deaths at Lennox Hill Hospital from 

the virus after using hydroxychloroquine

{ independentsentinel.com } ~ Dr. William Grace from Lennox Hill Hospital told Laura Ingraham on her show last night that he has been prescribing Hydroxychloroquine to his patients with coronavirus... They have 100 patients and have had zero deaths after the use of Hydroxychloroquine. Hydroxychloroquine is the less toxic version of Chloroquine. Grace said that a big reason older people die from the coronavirus is that their lungs fill up with fluid as part of an immune response to the virus. Hydroxychloroquine works, Grace notes, in both inhibiting the immune response and inhibiting the replication of the virus. This is wonderful and hopeful news. Ministry arrives in Italy, where 

death toll has topped China's

{ onenewsnow.com } ~ As Italy passes China for the most deaths as a result of the coronavirus, Samaritan's Purse is beginning its humanitarian aid and Christian outreach... which includes various types of assistance, medical supplies, and the gospel message. Since China announced the coronavirus at the turn of the year, the global pandemic has claimed more than 10,000 lives worldwide and infected nearly a quarter million people – as of late Thursday – but just before Italy reported more deaths than China Thursday 3,405 vs. 3,248, the World Health Organization declared Europe the epicenter for the virus. With more than 33,000 active cases, Italy has more than double the number of the next highest nation Spain at more than 16,000 infections; and of those, a whopping 2,500 infected patients are in serious or critical condition throughout Italy. As a result, the growing threat is causing a supply and support shortage for those with the virus – but more help has been sent to the coastal nation nestled between the Adriatic and Tyrhennian seas. On Tuesday,  Samaritan's Purse sent a plane to Italy packed with 20 tons of medical equipment, complete with masks, tents, pharmaceutical medications, monitors, ventilators, medical equipment and supplies for volunteers, according to Faithwire. In addition, a 68-bed emergency field hospital – comprising eight intensive-care beds and 60 inpatient beds – is being flown in by the nonprofit organization from the United States on the plane to assist the Italians. Also, approximately 60 medical specialists are scheduled to touch down in an airport in northern Italy to provide 90 days of assistance to those infected with coronavirus...

FBI Finds New scumbag/liar-Clinton Emails – Includes Classified Information and Discloses

by judicialwatch.org ~ Judicial Watch today released 37 pages of new scumbag/liar-Clinton emails recently found by the FBI that show former Secretary of State scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton used her unsecure, non-government email to transmit classified information... The new emails also show scumbag/liar-Clinton used text messages for government business. The documents, produced to Judicial Watch after a review by the State Department, include 13 new scumbag/liar-Clinton emails. The State Department did not provide information about where the emails were found; why they were not previously produced; or if additional records are anticipated. Last month, a Justice Department attorney could not tell a federal court judge how and where the FBI discovered the new cache of scumbag/liar-Clinton emails. The State Department previously claimed it had produced all releasable scumbag/liar-Clinton emails, including emails recovered by the FBI that scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton tried to destroy or withhold. The State Department initially claimed all responsive emails had been produced in 2018, but then found more emails which were produced, for the first time, early last year. Then in November 2019, the State Department first disclosed to the court that the FBI had found this latest batch of emails.  The emails were produced thanks to Judicial Watch  Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit for all of scumbag/liar-Clinton’s government emails sent or received on her secret server system (Judicial Watch v. Media Sweep Their Mistakes Under the Rug

by freebeacon.com ~ The online news outlet Axios on Wednesday published a bombshell news story: commie-Bernie Sanders, reporter Alexi McCammond wrote, was suspending his presidential campaign... "It’s an end to the campaign of the leading progressive in the race—and the candidate who seemed to be the clear front-runner for the Democratic nomination less than a month ago," the report stated. The only problem: It wasn’t true. And this wasn’t a run-of-the mill error, but a miscue on arguably the most anticipated and inevitable political story in the country. What followed from Axios was not an explanation to its readers of how it got the story wrong, but an excuse for how it was mistakenly published Axios editor in chief Nicholas Johnston blamed process breakdown in a "fully remote" newsroom. Axios’s response was an exercise in obfuscation and blame shifting. A tweet broadcasting the original story was disappeared without explanation. Days after the publication of the mistaken report, the author had not addressed her mistake publicly on Twitter, where reporters routinely explain errors and corrections to their pieces. The same was true of the official Axios Twitter account, which broadcast only the corrected report. About that report: For hours after it was posted, it included no correction acknowledging the initial error. That correction lived on its own web page, buried on Axios’s website. Traditionally, news organizations append corrections either at the top of, or at the bottom of, news reports. Axios has done just that in the past, posting corrections to reports about Uber’s move to fire employees in the wake of a harassment investigation, for example, and again in regard to claims from a former adviser to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky about President Donald Trump’s demands, communicating with its readers transparently about the error and the update to the story. It is also what Axios did nearly four hours after posting its botched report—after Bloomberg News presidential politics reporter Gregory Korte posted a screenshot of the original piece, which ran under the headline "commie-Bernie Sanders Suspends Presidential Campaign," and a second Bloomberg News reporter Laura Litvan, apologized to her Twitter followers for creating confusion by tweeting the original report...

loose lips liar-Joe Biden: A 'Cenrist' Moves Further Left

It’s an indisputable fact that the Democratic Party has moved left in recent years. Now, the party is about to choose a standard bearer in the person of former Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden, and what has become clear is that loose lips liar-Biden has not only shifted left with his party over the years, he has taken significant leftward steps in recent weeks.

Three examples.

First, for years, loose lips liar-Biden has defended the scumbag/liar-nObama administration’s record on deportations against those on the left who criticized scumbag/liar-nObama as the “deporter in chief.” Then came last month’s Nevada caucuses. After ugly losses in Iowa and New Hampshire, loose lips liar-Biden was struggling for life in Nevada, and trying to appeal to the Hispanic voters who made up a substantial portion of state Democrats.

All of a sudden, loose lips liar-Biden backtracked on the scumbag/liar-nObama deportations he used to defend. “There were too many,” loose lips liar-Biden told Univision’s Jorge Ramos. “I saw the pain in the eyes of so many people who saw their families being deported. I know what it’s like to lose family members. It was painful.”

As the Nevada vote neared, loose lips liar-Biden promised that if he became president, he would not deport anyone — no one, under any circumstances — during his first 100 days in office. After that, loose lips liar-Biden said, he would deport only those who have committed felonies in the United States. loose lips liar-Biden repeated the pledge at his recent debate with Sen. commie-Bernie Sanders, his last remaining rival for the nomination.

A second example. Just before the debate, loose lips liar-Biden announced he was adopting some of commie-Sanders’ positions on free college for all. “Today, loose lips liar-Biden is adding to his agenda by adopting Sen. commie-Sanders’ proposal to make public colleges and universities tuition-free for all students whose family incomes are below $125,000,” the campaign said.

loose lips liar-Biden’s proposal was modeled on a bill commie-Sanders offered in 2017, and that was also part of commie-Sanders’ 2016 battle with scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton. commie-Sanders has since moved on — he now proposes free tuition for everyone, regardless of income. Accordingly, commie-Sanders rejected loose lips liar-Biden’s move. “It’s great that loose lips liar-Joe Biden is now supporting a position that was in the Democratic platform four years ago,” commie-Sanders said in a statement released just before the debate. “Now we have to go much further.” Still, loose lips liar-Biden had moved unmistakably toward commie-Sanders.

A third example. Back in the 2000s, loose lips liar-Biden, then a senator, fought with Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren, then a Harvard professor, over the issue of bankruptcy. She wanted to make it less wearing on those who have to declare bankruptcy by, among other things, allowing them to include student debt in their bankruptcy filing. loose lips liar-Biden opposed the idea. Years later, dinky/liar-Warren made a similar plan part of her presidential campaign before dropping out after the Super Tuesday primaries earlier this month.

Now, with dinky/liar-Warren withholding her endorsement, loose lips liar-Biden is moving dinky/liar-Warren’s way. Before the debate, he announced that he “agrees firmly with Sen. dinky/liar-Warren that we need to fundamentally reshape our bankruptcy system.” Yet another leftward move.

Is loose lips liar-Biden undergoing some sort of late-in-life reassessment of his beliefs? Perhaps, but it appears more likely his shifts came for baldly political reasons. He needed Hispanic votes in Nevada. (By the way, even with his no-deportations pledge, he didn’t get them; commie-Sanders beat him 50% to 17% among Hispanic voters.) He needs commie-Sanders’ support, and his voters, when the Vermont senator finally gives up the race. He needs dinky/liar-Warren’s support, too.

So loose lips liar-Biden’s positions on three big issues — immigration, college education and bankruptcy — changed virtually overnight to fit the political requirements of the late stages of the 2020 Democratic primary. And all involved a move to the left. For months, loose lips liar-Biden dominated the so-called “centrist” or “moderate” lane of the Democratic race. But now there is no longer a Democratic race. Even as commentators touted his centrism, loose lips liar-Biden strategically moved left to consolidate the support he needed for the nomination.

Soon he will have to come up with the version of loose lips liar-Joe Biden who will run in the general election. At the moment, all politics, as all life in the United States, is consumed with coronavirus. But at some point, the virus will subside, and the campaign will re-emerge. President Trump will fiercely attack loose lips liar-Biden for moving left, leaving voters to decide whether loose lips liar-Biden really is the centrist he was made out to be.   ~The Patriot Post
