If you were the new President, would the following be an avenue you would explore?

Please respond first with YES or NO

and then offer an explanation if you so desire.

A Republican president, who is interested in demonstrating that the Republican Party is interested in the economic health of former USA businesses, should rescue those businesses from the other countries, by offering incentives that are too attractive for businesses to resist.  The cost of moving back to the USA should be tax deductable with all receipts and invoices presented.  The cost of purchasing property on a percentage of property required to place the buildings will tax deducted on a three year schedule.  Those businesses that do not relocate in inner city districts or who are not concerned with manufacturing will receive free property tax for ten years in addition to an income tax fee of only 50% of the going rate.  No matter what the company's function is, and no matter where it is located, the company will have those regulations that make it difficult to exist removed.  Desired results: Returning former USA businesses to the USA; skilled and non-skilled people who have been accessing government assistance would no longer require government assistance; skilled and non-skilled people who have been working inn positions whose compensations are less than what once the worker's standard may return to a higher plateau of salary.  There would be a creation of small stores surrounding the businesses with food and other needed items which would also help in the tax base and with unemployment reduction; and company-school relationships could be established to create scholarships to workshops, to work-related camps, and/or to college, and to sponsor field trips; and to cause a lowering of the inner city unemployment rate.

  • No.  The most important objective of any administration, should be to eliminate the Federal Reserve, and consequently also the I.R.S.  Those two ILLEGAL, AND UNLAWFUL, organizations, hold a LOADED GUN to the financial heart of America, and MUST  be destroyed if we are ever to have financial independence again.  These two organizations were NEVER ratified by the states, and therefor constitute a foreign owned MAFIA, WHICH HOLDS AMERICA HOSTAGE.

  • Major Corporations moved off shore... abandoning the US  because they can make significantly greater profit by manufacturing in the third world ... than in the US.  It's all about profit, whether those profits are increased by avoiding union wages,  OSHA and EPA regulations or taxes... It all boils down to a better bottom line... Profit.

Before, the US engaged Free Trade Policy.... the global corporations were unable to move off shore due to tariffs and imposts which took the profit out of leaving the US.  Before the current Free Trade frenzy,  the middle class grew and US markets expanded, as the middle class grew prosperous.  Tariffs and Imposts protected our consumer driven markets from exploitation by global markets and those corporations looking to exploit the third world.. taking advantage of their low wages, limited taxes and the lack of regulatory oversight by third world governments.

However, the introduction of Free Trade resulted in... a steady and accelerating decline in US Heavy and Light Industry, good paying manufacturing jobs were exchanged for low paying service jobs and finally no jobs at all. As the middle class and their wages stagnated and then declined in real dollars, the US declined and is now imploding.  Our economy is based on consumption and when the consumer doesn't have the disposable income to generate sufficient consumption... all sorts of economic troubles begin.  These economic woes compound and with time become exponential in their acceleration... our economy is imploding today as a result of what Ross Perot once said... NAFTA will generate a great sucking sound as our jobs go South.  Today we have world wide NAFTA policies... and the jobs needed to produce a viable middle class are being sucked out of America by third world wages... and world market disparities

US Free Trade policy ... has worked to enrich Globalist Corporations (business able to engage world markets), bankrupted small to medium sized businesses (unable to engage world markets) and is rapidly destroying the middle class.  Many former members of the middle class  are now unemployed or underemployed.  In the beginning days of US Free Trade Policy, wages stagnated, then declined, and are now disappearing entirely; as both, manufacturing and service sector jobs disappear... so is a once vibrant and growing US economy.

Want to restore jobs in America... restore tariffs and imposts, end US 'Free Trade' policy.  Free Trade brought with it capital and industry flight, the destruction of good paying jobs, a shrinking middle class and the end to vibrant and expanding US markets.  Free Trade Policy encouraged major corporations to leave America; taking their manufacture jobs where wages are .12cent an hour, while permitting them to sell those goods in the US for windfall profits.

However, Free Trade Policy is rapidly collapsing from within and coming to an end...  America's middle class is rapidly becoming the NEW POOR and our consumer economy is rapidly imploding.  Soon Free Traders will find the market in America can not afford their goods produced in the third world... nor will the third world be able to purchase them.  The .12cent an hour wages paid  in Bangladesh by a Global Corporation  to its employees will certainly not generate the disposable income to purchase the clothes they manufacture.

Free Trade as we know it... is about to come crashing down. The greed and avarice of big capital is about to find that the US worker and his counterpart in their factory don't have the disposable income to keep the world's economy healthy and expanding.  America's economy is bumping along only because the US Government has dumped TRILLIONS of dollars into it through its Welfare programs and those industries associated with those programs, barely keeping the economy afloat.  When the government is no longer able to keep up these historic rates of spending; then, the economy will crash without any government remedy.

  • Carlos Ramos you have a point. Why did they leave? Taxes. Regulations. Unions to a lesser degree, in the early years unions weren't too bad but got worse each year with their greed slothliness apathy corruption. Just remove the barriers and watch the money flow. American to this day can still outperform everyone else. Sure some of us need an incentive like work or starve you lazy jerks. Only provide welfare to the truly helpless. Make all others work. Now we are debating tax incentives rearranging bureaucracy. I say rearrange their asses right out onto the streets. Bureau of Indian affairs. 100+ years since they stop fighting us. Set them free let them have some dignity. If they don't want to go to work then it is their choice. Get rid of it. EPA who the hell wants a dirty polluted planet. No reasonably sane individual. If we have rich corporate people who want to pollute because it saves money then put their butts in jail. Hopefully right where they dumped their carcinogens and let them rot with rumors. He'll of an incentive to not do that ain't it. I admire rich people, but we got to make our own lives and not let them makes us slaves. Ok maybe a kinder, gentler form of slavery, but still repressed. I bet you that four eyed twit bill gates would shit bricks if the community surrounded him and came after him like the pitch fork brigade. We need to steal their play book and inject it with steroids. I don't know if we can live through 2 1/2 more years of this crap. We bitch and moan but those of us that do have jobs are working more than ever just to keep our head above water I am so pissed I can't even think without rambling on.some time we all as Americans, at least the ones who care, will have to decide are we MEN or are we their BITCHES! So far the vote has been for the Bitches.
  • These are some great ideas, already some of them being used, by the States.       Being a Texan, I can appreciate the incentives that Rick Perry has offered Businesses to move to Texas.        They work, as a result, people find jobs, they in turn ,create more work by going out and spending.         The Major obstacle, besides untold number of ridiculous regulations, seem to be the huge Taxes we impose on our own, for attempting business in this Country.

  • Let the illegals pay for Obamacare, as they will have the jobs and income. That may be the only way to get them back on their side of the Border!

  • It has been 6 years and this is the best the Tea Party can do is mimic the Democrats?  First you forgot the reasons why US Business left in the first place!  All you do is ask for money and donations but you actually think this platform will change the mess we are in? Idiots!!

  • What say I? I say that it is impossible to convict him on an article of impeachment without Gods help. But I believe that if we elect a real leader in 2016 we can use that rise in power and position to criminally prosecute, convict and imprison Barack Obama and numerous minions of treason others crimes. Prison Orange will go well with his eyes. I personally am willing to suffer the national embarrassment of imprisoning a former president if it will teach the rest of the world and future American generations that we will not allow this behavior to go unpunished. That is what say I.
  • I agree with all you said John. I wish I knew more about politics but I do know we need to do away with a lot of differents parts of the gov. starting with the IRS and Dept of education....Then the corucpt  UN and may others.

  • Col Nelson, I agree with everything you say except for the word 'democracy'. A constitutional republic, or republicanism, is what we should be saying. Except for that, your post is statesmanlike, and says what I believe with all my heart, soul and mind.

  • Properly functioning Capitalism requires a moral people; just as our Government requires a moral people to operate properly. Is government in America functioning as it was intended? Why not? The moral compass that once directed our ship of state and sat at the head of commerce has been lost.

A moral people must be guided by a set of tenants and percepts outside of their own nature; as man’s inhumanity toward man has clearly demonstrated there is no good or moral nature to be found within a man who acts alone. The 'God of Creation’ and the Judeo/Christian ethic is the moral compass our forefathers chose and the one we need to follow in government and business. It is the Creator that bestows the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It follows, that God's order (Word/Law) are necessary to the orderly maintenance of these rights.

When a people deny the Creator's Law and reject His guidance, they abandon the Truth and suffer the ills of their own making. Whether, their abandon be manifested in economic, political, or cultural decay; the sums of their calamity matters little, as the end result is the loss of their liberty. Today, we see the result of a long and deteriorating relationship between God and America.

Can our Nation retain its founding principals without its Creator? It is not only the government that has strayed... It is the people themselves, and the damage is not only visible in government, but in our homes and CORPORATE BOARD ROOMS of America.

America must return to the standards of equity that God demands in commerce… a just balance/scale and equal measure. God’s precepts of equity and justice must once again be the rule for engaging others... at home and work... in our schools and organizations. America must return to Natures Creator, if she desires fruit from the Tree of Liberty.

Capitalism and Democracy are empty shells which must be filled with the right measure of moral order and purpose, to be instruments of righteousness and a blessing to the people. Without God at the helm, Capitalism and Democracy soon become ship wrecked in a sea of despair and hopelessness. Where is God in our government and Corporate Board Rooms today? Does God sit in a seat of honor, as Lord, or has Mammon, the love of wealth and power, become lord in America?

There is no such thing as the separation of Church (God) and State… Ones government and religion are a reflection of their faith… What they believe. What image does America reflect in its culture, commerce, and government? Is it God’s image? Can America separate God from its government and the engines of her commerce and still claim to be Christian (God like, Christ like)?

Board rooms and businesses that use an unjust scale or measure to conduct their commerce don't fool God... Equity is not blind, nor is a just contract or balance derived by taking undue advantage of others. Godly capitalism EARNS reasonable profits based on VALUE ADDED... not by the use of ones position, leverage, or raw power to exploit others.

A Godly people understand what I'm speaking about... However, the ungodly will never understand Godly commerce, or that we are ‘our brothers keeper'. The world considers windfalls and the exploitation of others justified as the tools of a free market. They don't see the exploitation of markets as the use of an unjust scale or measure…taking where they have not added value to the market… reaping where they have not sown or more than they have sown. Godly profit and wealth is gained honorably not at the inequitable expense of others. Using ones position, power or wealth to extract more than is equitable from a trade is unjust, ungodly, and immoral. One should not take simply because they can.

God doesn't support slothfulness in labor nor is he pleased when the Ox is muzzled. Labor and Capital must find an equitable arrangement where a just reward is earned by each... through an equitable exchange... just weights and measures. When Godly commerce is conducted, both parties are satisfied. This form of Capitalism results in prosperity for all and was once the traditional mode of exchange and commerce in America.

A Capital market that allows products manufactured at .12 Cents an hour, to be marketed where labor costs are 100 times greater, is a text book example of the manipulation and exploitation of world markets… this is a clear example of commercial exchange used to achieve an unjust return on investment. Profits taken under these market conditions are not earned through value added… or a just weight or measure. They are earned through the exploitation of unequal markets and are the tools of GREED and ARAVICE. God is not pleased and where such commerce is permitted the poor and working class are being exploited and soon will find their neck under the heal of the despots… robber barons.

It is hypocrisy for the capitalist to point at the socialist to accuse him of robbery; when the same capitalist is engaged in the same act by another means. What difference is there between robbing the wage of the poor and unjustly taking (taxing - redistributing) the wealth of the rich? Both are WRONG and ungodly, immoral acts.

There can be no moral rationalization or argument that justifies slave wages. Capital that earns an exorbitant profit from labor through market position are using a form of unequal balances and weights in there commerce. God is not pleased and the end result is a corrupt system of commerce for all.

The markets in America are no longer open or free; consumers, small business and new enterprises are forced to compete with immoral businesses practices that exploit wages and the unregulated market places of the third world. The unethical business man takes advantage of market forces to achieve market share that is unjustly earned. This makes it difficult for small business and labor to obtain an equitable share in the market place or a just return for their labor. At one time, such market exploitation was corrected through trade laws… the use of tariffs, duties, and restrictions on imports. Tariffs were the champion of small business and labor... engaging a JUST BALANCE and Measure in commerce.

Tariffs, duties and restrictions on imports are not immoral or anti-trade; they seek to keep commerce on a moral keel. They deny unfettered access to our markets for those who would seek to exploit labor and small businesses by exploiting inequities (wages, taxes, business regulations, etc) in the world market. In fact, tariffs, duties and import restrictions are Constitutional powers permitted to the Federal government for the regulation of commerce. It is time that we reengage these Constitutional powers to return balance and equity in our markets. Unfair trade serves no good purpose and is the enemy of legitimate small businesses and American labor… who are unable and unwilling to operate under third world market conditions.

Obviously, these practices were considered both moral and necessary for the regulation of commerce by our founding fathers. Tariffs, import duties and restrictions are the safe guards against the exploitation of markets, and the destruction of American small business, and labor. The use of these market tools were understood by our founding fathers as they battled to preserve US Commerce from global giants like the ‘East India Company’… who found nothing improper about exploitation of world markets.

There exist such greed and avarice in the world today. The ‘East India Company’ lives in the embodiment of a thousand like corporations who would rather earn their profits by manipulation of markets than… hard work, intuitive marketing and better ideas. No, the capitalist whose wealth is earned without producing ‘added value’ simply robs the wealth of others through market manipulation and raw power. He unjustly and unfairly manipulates the world markets too increase his own wealth at the expense of others.

It is time to reconsider our ‘Free Trade Agreements’ and Treaties… too bring back moral equity to our system of trade and commerce. Free trade is not the equivalent of fair or equitable trade; unless a just scale and equal measure is applied to every commercial transaction… they are immoral. Where our trading partners exploit cheap labor, poor environmental, manufacturing, and labor standards to reap windfall profits… America should impose heavy tariffs, imposts, and customs fees, as a matter of equity and fair trade. Not all ‘Free trade’ is moral or equitable… nor should it be allowed. Our markets have real value, it is time too charge for that value and too ensure that it is maintained… through the proper regulation of imports that originate outside of our well regulated and prosperous markets.

America must reengage equity in commerce in order to expand its economy and return its citizens to full employment. Manufacturing is the engine of wealth… not a service based industry. America’s wealth is the result of manufacturing goods not the product of McDonald’s or Sears. China did not gain it’s wealth thru selling hamburgers or insurance it prospered because of it’s manufacturing base… we must rebuild our manufacturing base, our heavy and light industry if America is to regain it’s world economic preeminence.
