PAUL RYAN'S PROPOSED BUDGET CUTS

I received the following supposed budget cuts from  a friend.  While I haven't been able to verify every cent, if even some of them are correct, this is shocking.

My question is, what is all this doing in the budget in the first place? If, indeed, these figures are accurate, they are only the tip of the iceberg.  There is a lot of waste in the military budget just as, I'm sure, in every Federal bureaucracies' budgets.  We should scrub all of them to the essentials.

Also, BEFORE we allow congress resort to raising our taxes to support their profligate spending, we should do a salary and benefit review of their compensation packages.  They've voted themselves far better benefits than an average American enjoys, yet there is no penalty for them if they do a poor job.  The worst that can happen is they are voted out of office and collect their pension and benefits.  Bet you'd like a job like that!

We should demand that Congress re-evaluate all of our foreign aid expenditures as well as our participation in, and contribution to, the United Nations.  It's become very one sided in our funding and hosting them yet very little support for our interests or initiatives.  We'd be better served to establish strong alliances with countries that have similar interests and aspirations and lend our foreign aid to them--and only them.

It is time to stop borrowing money to give away to other countries and wasting on inefficient government programs at home.  It is unconscionable that we would allow our government to saddle future generations with a debt that they have had no say in how the money was spent.  Essentially this is TAXATION (of the yet to be born) without any REPRESENTATION!  The very principle that drove our separation from England.

  • Francine O'bummer is up  to the next line of bull he is going to try to feed to the American people.

  •  Pat ~ SPOT ON !! ~ FRANCINE.... [ Probably the line he snorted in collage! ] I believe Biden got into Obama's stash just before last weeks debate with Ryan!

  •         It's called Beaurocratic Despotism or to put it in more common terms Criminal activities by our elected Officials ,or Beaurocratic Corruption ,take your pick Ryan is defenetly on the right track here get rid of as many useless beaurocratic enteties as possible then they do not have to be funded. Some body has to do something before it's to late .

  • Obama promised to go thru the budget line by line.  Which Line is he up to now?

  • But for 9/11 we would be in good shape but Bush had to fight 2 wars and all done with Congress Approval while bho is sending money and supplies to the brotherhood who we are fighing.. The Bush tax cuts were to help get jobs back, but the EPA shut them down and along with earning in the job markets

  • No doubt government needs to again start cutting government expenses at the top level down to

where the national average is for pay & compensations & benefits & expense accounts & normal retirements at age 67 years old. Or where Washington, D.C. considers Social Security retirement age!!!  Government Officials have set themselves up above our Laws of the United States in the past, present & future.

For the national average American statistics show the average American earns $ 50,000 annually.

And, that is figured in with the very wealthy earnings.  Government elected and unelected employees

in many departments are very generous to shower themselves with all they receive in their pay checks and their office postions.  Elected Officials can even keep for themselves campaign money not used after retirement from politics.  This additional money could go to paying down the U.S. Debt...........Government is the problem when Officials are greedy.

No Surplus from Former President George W. Bush's Administration....Bush just furthering the American Debt by Trillions...Clinton leaves surplus for Bush on Deficit.....The Debt rose $4.899 trillion during the two terms of the Bush presidency. It has now gone up $4.939 trillion since President Obama took office.

    Total U.S. Debt today $ 58,534,105,367,110.00

               Facts:  U.S. National Debt  $ 16,180,183,393,127.00  Today

When President Obama took office in 2009 the U.S. Debt = $9.986 trillion

When President Bush took office in 2001 the U.S. Debt = $5.629 trillion

               Debt per taxpayer = $136,000

    Excerpts:

With President Obama and Republican leaders calling for cutting the budget by trillions over the next 10 years, it is worth asking how we got here — from healthy surpluses at the end of the Clinton era, and the promise of future surpluses, to nine straight years of deficits, including the $1.3 trillion shortfall in 2010. The answer is largely the Bush-era tax cuts, war spending in Iraq and Afghanistan,

    and recessions.....The New York Times
