Democrats PUSH legislation to force taxpayers to pay off student loans. The scheme is to force the Federal Reserve to give loans to students at the Fed's bank rate, 0.75%. Ultimately, they will write off the principal. Students signed for the loans and they SHALL pay back the loans. Students learn. Teach them the lesson of contractual obligation. According to proponents, the taxpayer "owes" the students this measure of financial gratitude. REALLY? Where does the Preamble/Constitution say the citizen/taxpayer will pay off other people's debts? This is redistribution per the Manifesto - from each according to his ability, to each according to his need. The Preamble/Constitution mandates self-reliance not redistribution.

I could actually see student loans at the lowest rate's for the future of America but the student would have to PAY ALL of it back. As for the fed... Doom-on-you.

Follow the Money! Obama took the student loan money away from the federal government and moved it into one of his buddies companies. That happened a couple years ago. So ya that sounds right that now Obama is having the democrats push to hand out lots of tax payer money for one of Obama's cronies.
It's the perfect PONZI scheme. Govt. takes student loans away from the small community banks. Leftists run the universities and colleges. Leftists at the universities can now just keep raising tuition, students get loans from the communist 'bank', students receive HUGE amounts of money, can't pay it back, communist 'bank' dangles the carrot and says they don't have to pay the loans bank IF they do as they are told, taxpayers on the hook as usual.
