Bill Maher issued a challenge to Republicans on Friday's Real Time: put your money where your mouth is already and just impeach President Obama. Maher argued, "If you really believe Benghazi is that serious and Obama is that big a crook, then you should impeach him tomorrow." And, Maher said, it would actually help the president, because a partisan attempt to impeach him would trigger a popularity surge.

Maher compared Republican "blather" on Benghazi to "trying to relate to someone who's tripping when you're not." He tore into the GOP and Fox News for having a near-single-minded obsession with Benghazi above all else, in a bubble where "rational arguments don't matter" and Fox will ignore whatever Obama says unless it's about Benghazi.

Consumer Confidence Plunges as Food, Fuel Costs Soar
Consumer confidence unexpectedly fell in May from a nine-month high, showing Americans are being shaken by rising grocery bills and elevated fuel costs.
The Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan preliminary sentiment index decreased to 81.8 from 84.1 in April. The median projection in a Bloomberg survey of economists called for a gain to 84.5.
Food prices have risen and the cost of gasoline has held near its highest level of the year, making buyers less secure in their finances.
“Higher energy prices, higher prices for gas, and the rising consumer food prices would be something I would look at as a factor holding back confidence gains,” Robert Rosener, an economist at Credit Agricole CIB in New York, said before the report.
Building Permits
Housing starts climbed 13.2 percent to a 1.07 million annualized rate following March’s 947,000 pace, according to Commerce Department figures. Starts exceeded all analysts’ forecasts, with the median estimate of 79 economists surveyed by Bloomberg calling for 980,000. Permits for future projects increased, a sign activity might accelerate in coming months.

Bill Maher's statements come on the heels of, or the day after we had American Spring and it did not generate as much energy and excitement as we hoped. Obama and other traitors to the Republic were not arrested.
Someone joked that there were more tourists than Militia members present and that Obama and Biden were so unconcerned that they were on the street buying ice cream.
So he gets to shove this in our faces and at the same time pander to his liberal audience, use this for his show to increase HIS ratings, please his bosses and set the stage for something else as these guys are always planning events down the road.
If they want to improve Obama's ratings they can parade him around their TV shows like Maher's, then The View, The Queen Latifah Show, Dancing With The Stars, American Idol and so on.
They know only a handful of Republicans are for Impeachment and they would be standing against heavyweights from their own party as well as a near 100% Democratic Party.
So Maher and his colleagues know this has an almost zero chance of happening. People are being killed, lives are being destroyed and Maher makes light of all this? Sick.
I think more Americans are concerned with the rise in gas, food, clothing and energy prices just to name a few.
And maybe his 'dog and pony show' is meant to distract us from this happening in less than 2 months:

The problem is that impeachment is only a trial. We need a conviction and that takes the Senate. They are mostly Democrats so they would never find him guilty.
