America the Afraid

In the famous words penned by Francis Scott Key after witnessing the bombardment of Fort McHenry by Royal Navy ships in Chesapeake Bay during the Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812.

"The land of the Free and the home of the Brave."

Americas citizens are faced with in my opinion the biggest challenges since the cold war. Each day more and more of our constitutional liberties are under attack from within our borders.

We are told cannot say that it's not PC, accept everything , go with the flow, don't stand up, be complacent, right is wrong, the American flag offends people, capitalism is bad, the rule of law does not matter, illegal is legal, Islam is a religion of peace, watch your neighbors, your kids have to recite passages from the Koran, trust the NEA to set the standards for your children's education, you have no say what schools are teaching your children, fear the IRS, the BLM can take your land, let the TSA grope your family because they make the rules and arrest you if you protest, be subject to illegal searches, The Second Amendment is no longer valid, being a Christian is for the uneducated people and christian morals are outdated, states rights are subject to federal oversight and liberal judges decisions, voter fraud is not a crime, illegals can vote in elections, illegals are entitled to social benefits, Vets are disrespected and treated as second class citizens, America is an evil nation, Burning the flag is okay because its racist, It's okay to shoot a cop, It's no longer Christmas its Happy Holidays and you cannot say Merry Christmas, A confederate flag is racist, people deserve entitlements and you must comply with unlawful Supreme court decisions.

Did I miss anything? Of course I did because each day our rights and freedoms are being eroded by the progressives and an administration that believes America must be changed because it is an oppressive country and as a Nation we are bad people.

Have we become a nation of fear filled people? Did we surrender our rights and freedoms to corrupt politicians? Whats happened to our independent spirit? Whats happened to God Bless America and One Nation Under God? When will we restore the Prayer and Pledge in our classrooms?

My point is Americans cannot live in fear when so many sacrificed and gave their lives to keep us free. The time has come for the Brave to stand up and be counted among those who said I will not cower before any threats , but I will stand my ground for God , Family and My country.

Let freedom Ring and God bless Merica.

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'
Theodore Roosevelt 1907

We have since made room for many classes of Resident Alien Immigrants and have afforded them most of the rights enjoyed by citizens and yet for some that is still not enough. The crux of the immigration issue today is not as hard core as Roosevelt's position but rather centers around the question of whether or not the entry was legal and have the requirements of the visa been followed. We are still a Republic, a nation of laws, is it so much to ask of those who want to come here and share the bounty to do it legally??

The constitution gives the states the power to reign in an out of control federal government; so why isn't it being done?

Ten states now have taken the first step toward limiting the power of the federal government. Officials from Arizona, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Carolina, Virginia and Wyoming have filed resolutions calling for a convention of states that would propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution with the express purpose of limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government. Governor Bobby Jindal has thrown in his support for an “Article V. Convention of States. http://www.conventionofstates.com/governor_bobby_jindal_endorses_the_convention_of_states_project

Article V. of our Constitution gives the states the power to call such a convention for the purpose of amendments by the states, and the constitution stays in place during the process.

“The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress.”

Mark Meckler, president of Citizens for Self-Governance, co-founded CSG’s Convention of States Project, which is currently working to convince the necessary 34 state legislatures to pass bills calling for a convention of states.

Meckler said that, in addition to the 10 states that have already filed, he expects another 15 to 20 states to file resolutions for a convention in the next few weeks “We will have legislation introduced in enough states to get to 34,” Meckler said.

The need for the states to limit federal power did not suddenly arise overnight. A convention of states should have been held years ago. However people are only now beginning to understand the power that Article V. gives the states.
If the states can agree to have a convention, they should be able to agree on some amendments as well. Two things I would personally like the convention to do – impose term limits on all federal offices of all three branches, and give states the power to repeal federal laws by a majority of states; the number of states required to be established by the amendment, and last but not least reaffirm the requirement for an intrinsic backed currency system.

The FEC has ruled in favor of those who support and are working for an Article V. Convention of States to be called by the states.

Today we learned the FEC sided with our arguments. This is a huge victory for the Convention of States movement, and we’re thankful for the brilliant legal minds that helped make it happen.

An Article V. Convention of States is the remedy for the situation we find our country in today. Remember it is not a Federal con-con, it is called by the states for the purpose of amending the constitution to reign in an out of control Federal Government, and the feds have no part in it, it is wholly a states affair. Harold Pack.

I am eager to meet and greet all who can help me [ and helping them in return] in assisting me next Nov, for my run in the 37th District NJ for State Rep. Last week at the Teaneck meeting I heard the story of that young man [Brian Aitken] that was arrested for having registed guns in the trunk of his car. Well, what Mr. Aitken, should have communicated to the Police Officer that , he would be willing to open his trunk , without a warrant , But, Thomas, would be very sad and maybe angry if he did that , and also maybe John and James . And I would not want to see tears in their eyes. And when the Police Officer asked, " who is Thomas , James and "this John" ?. Well , I would have said, Mr. Jefferson, Mr. Adam and Mr Madison. You see Officer, Thousands of "young" men and women shed their Red American blood , so we would be able to have a "Bill of Rights".See Officer, Its not me that is refusing you to open my trunk [without a warrant] its our Founding Fathers, asking me from the great beyond to deny you that intrusive illegal request , without a warrant. Furthermore, I will wait anywhere you wish, here , in Jail, until you get that warrant ..... From my study of the legal system, the Officer had no "standing" to get a warrant, and if he did , the evidence, ( the legal guns in trunk) would have been suppressed, the fruit of the poison tree. So Please, fellow Tea Party Members, don't let the Government , State /Federal/ Municipal step on our Rights , if you are in doubt , put the blame on the "Founding Fathers" and say NO!!!!! to any [UNCONSTITUTIONAL] Intrusion by Government officials.

GOD BLESS AND SAVE AMERICA
