Americans used to roar like lions for liberty; now we
            bleat like sheep for security.
                 - Norman Vincent Peale

                 Anthony Weiner's Wife

I've especially wondered about a Muslim marrying a Jew.
                That's just not normal.

AND WHAT IS THE REST OF THE STORY ???

Have you given any thought lately as to why Huma Abedin is standing by
her man -- Anthony Weiner. Yes, the politician who exposed himself to
numerous women and was forced to resign from the House of
Representatives. Yes, the same pervert who is now running for Mayor of
New York.  (He lost-getting only 5% of the vote)
Here's the real story: Huma worked for a journal which promotes Islamic
supremacist ideology which was founded by al-Quaida financer, Abdullah
Omar Nasseef. During this same time, about seven years, she also worked
for Hillary Clinton. Naseef also headed up the Muslim World League, a
leading Muslim Brotherhood organization. The name of the publication,
the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, was first edited by Huma's
father, Syed Abedin, and now by her mother, Saleha Abedin. Saleha is a
member of the Muslim Sisterhood and also directs an organization, The
International Islamic Committee for Woman and Child, that comes under
the umbrella of the Union for Good, a U. S.- designated terrorist
organization. The Union for Good is led by Sheik Yusef al-Qaradawi, the
notorious Muslim Brotherhood jurist who has issued fatwas calling for
the killing of American military and support personnel in Iraq as well
 as suicide bombings in Israel.

One wonders how Huma Abedin with her family associations was able to
receive security clearance to work with the Secretary of State. One
wonders, too, what influence she had over U. S. policy-making while in
this position, Deputy Chief of Staff.

What do you want me to believe? That it was just a coincidence that she
married an up and coming Jew to Congress? That she really was in love
 with him?

Isn't it also interesting that her family never denounced her for
marrying a Jew? Is it coincidence that she forgave him just like her
boss, Hillary, forgave Bill for his transgressions? We know that
Hillary did it because of her own political ambitions and the heady
taste of power. Is it power that Huma wants? Or, is it because she is a
Muslim Brotherhood plant and has been ordered to do what THEY want her
 to do?

Look who's new in the white house!

Arif Alikhan - Assistant Secretary for Policy Development for the U. S. Department of Homeland Security

Mohammed Elibiary - Homeland Security Adviser

Rashad Hussain - Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC)

Salam al-Marayati - Obama Adviser and founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council
and is its current executive director

Imam Mohamed Magid - Obama's Sharia Czar from the Islamic Society of North America

Eboo Patel - Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships

  This is flat-out scary!!!

The foxes are now officially living in the hen house...

Now ask me why I am very concerned!!!

Do you feel OK with this???

How can this happen, and when will we wake up???

We are quiet while our Country is being drastically changed!!!

(or are you one of those who voted for CHANGE?)

If you're not CONCERNED, DELETE this. Go to bed tonight. sleep well!

Otherwise-get the word out!

We've got to have some relief starting with the 2014 Elections!

Foreign Deaths Syria, Egypt and Mexico?

Yes, it is terrible about all of the foreign violence and deaths. But, what about the 45,000 plus people murdered in MEXICO in the last few years. Yes, more than all of those other places far away and our troop losses in two wars! I care about all of them and especially Muslim terrorists killing everyone everywhere. What should we do about the country south of our border and the literal bleed over our border into various cities in America?

We should stop foreign aid, strengthen our military and put troops on our border helping to actually seal it ASAP. WE have bad guys coming over with criminals mixed in with people who just want to work.  Now, over 15% of Mexico's population is in the US illegally. Billions were given to illegals in just earned income credit, not to mention other benefits. I know our government tells people that, if you do not have a social security number you can still apply for food stamps and other assistance. I am sure there is no abuse of these programs, Yeah right. Regardless, we need to address the violence and illegals issue. How many illegals and related gang members are in our jails? Google it and you might be surprised. What does that cost? We are so PC that we will not place troops on the border like we did in the 1800's, but we should do so and reduce troops over seas. WE need a fence to keep people out not in the US. The border fence is not the Berlin wall , as we will let anyone leave that wants to leave.

Obama has stated he want to weaken the US military cutting 12 brigades and greatly reduce spending. If allowed he will gut the military to levels not seen since before WWII. As then, enemies will think we are so weak and unable to respond that  world wide violence and attacks will increase. We know Hitler thought it would take us 20 years to respond to him and that encouraged him to attack other countries. He was wrong then, as we had a great manufacturing base. Now, as we have allowed our manufacturing to exit, incurred high electricity costs and have one of the highest in the world corporate tax while we allow credits for foreign tax and business relocation we can not react as quickly.

We sit on more oil reserves than all of the rest known oil reserves in the world and yet we have no energy policy and import half of our oil. This money spent on oil imports empowers our enemies and fuels the world wide terrorists organizations.  WE do not use our tremendous natural gas and coal reserves. In fact drilling on federal land is down  and oil production is only up because of private land production. the EPA and other agencies. My point is that if we used our domestic energy resources, become energy independent ASAP in a Manhattan type effort, cut foreign oil imports to zero, maintained a strong military, bring down electricity costs and fuel costs, used energy to decrease unemployment it would be better for America. Peace through strength is better than Obama's weak, lead from behind and a watered down federally feed education system. Anything that weakens the US and weakens State control, is bad for America and in turn is bad for the world.

David Fischer, the Associated Press and Yahoo News should be ashamed of themselves.   They have 4063556176?profile=originalstretched so far to create a negative headline about GOP presidential challenger Mitt Romney an eighteen wheeler can be driven through the holes in the story.

For years Fischer, AP and Yahoo have consistently and willfully ignored the fact that in his autobiography “Dreams From My Father” their dearly beloved leader freely admitted to using drugs many times.  “I blew a few smoke rings, remembering those years,” he wrote about his days in college. “Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it.”

However, like rabid dogs, they have jumped all over Romney for meeting Marco Rubio at a public juice stand, making short speeches and then handing out juices to the eager crowd.

What was the headline?

“Host for Romney event is a convicted drug dealer”

The truth is: Reinaldo Bermudez, owner of El Palacio del los Jugos, did serve three years in federal prison after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine back in 1999.

Bermudez has repaid society for that crime.  He has served the time.  He is now legally engaged in conducting a successful small business that provides for a need in the community.

In a statement to the Miami New Times, Bermudez said "Thankfully, we all have the opportunity in this country to re-enter society when we've done something wrong."

Have Fischer, AP and Yahoo never heard of redemption in America?  Apparently, by members of the self-imagined, self-appointed intellectual elite, redemption is not bequeathed upon Conservatives.  It is reserved solely for “their people”.

For proud card carrying members of the “progressive” Party Pravda it is perfectly fine to ignore that by his own admission their anointed, almost god-like hero engaged in criminal activity on multiple occasions, but when their target who does not smoke or drink makes one speech and hands out drinks at a juice stand it is “newsworthy” because the stand’s owner once committed a crime for which he has long since made restitution.

A “progressive” can smoke pot, sniff cocaine, whatever they want, admit to it…and never be brought to task or to justice by Pravda.  A Conservative is peripherally associated with someone who paid for their mistake and it is elevated to the level of high crime.

Keep an eye on the horizon for indications that Fischer or AP and Yahoo employees are Mike Vick fans.

Obama Home from G-20, with Tail Between Legs

At the July 2010, the G-20 summit members actually told BO that stimulus was not working. BO says, "Keep Spending", click to read
Obama ignored the G-20 members. The narcissist that he is, has been brought down, BIG Time, on the world stage.

Obama was at the G-20 summit in France last week. (G-20-Group of  Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, from 20 major economies.)  He didn't talk about the Greece/Euro situation. Basically Greece borrowed Euros to finance Greeks retiring with benefits and pensions...at age 50. If Greece defaulted it could lead to an European depression. (In a global market we would go down too.) By borrowing more they are able to pay back only delays the inevitable.  Sound familiar?

Obama used the the G-20 "stage" to play to us, taking only 4 questions, all from American reporters. He said,  “My hope is that the folks back home, including those in the United States Senate and House of Representatives,   think twice before they vote no again on a proposal that economists say would actually make a dent in unemployment”  A Dent? Read on and you'll see why he didn't take any questions from foreign reporters.

First the members implemented the "Canada Action Plan for Jobs Growth", co-sponsored by India. It is "a wide range blueprint for building foundation of renewed world wide growth". Wow! As leaders of the free world, weren't we suppose to do that?

Second, To add insult to injury, they selected Mark Carney as the Chairman of the Swiss "Financial Stability Board".  His actions as the Bank of Canada's governor are said to account for Canada having
avoided the worst of the recent global financial crisis. The Canadian economy outperformed those of its G7,  (The top 7 nations of the G-20.),   peers during the crisis, and Canada was the first G7 nation to have both its GDP and employment recover to pre-crisis levels.   Canada has recovered that means our unemployment should be at 7.8 or lower.  Blaming Bush just isn't working anymore.

Before he left  Pinocchio said, "We can't wait for Congress to do its job,” he said. “The middle-class families who’ve been struggling for years are tired of waiting.  So where Congress won’t act, I will." BO  thinks he's king and is forgetting the Constitution....again! Maybe he learned something at the G-20.

11/4/11-Unemployment rate fell to 9.0 percent in October. A Demoncratic Congress and Senate gave BO $787 billion of our money in Feb. 09.  (He said that unless he got it, unemployment COULD go as high as 8%. It hasn't been anywhere close to that since Bush was President.) Now, less then 3 years later, he wants another $447 billion.
House Speaker John Boehner: "Today's report underscores the need for immediate action on the more than 15 bipartisan, common-sense House-passed jobs bills (called the forgotten 15) that are piled up at Senate Democrats' door. Senate Democrats are out of excuses and the president must call on them to act. The House has voted to remove government obstacles to desperately needed jobs -- and we've done it in a bipartisan way. At a time when these bipartisan jobs bills are stalled in the Senate, it is unacceptable for the White House to be anything less than 100 percent engaged in the legislative process."

I love this: The House of Representatives passed a bi-partisan resolution Nov.1 reaffirming “In God We Trust” as the official motto of the United States. The 396-9 vote came at the request of Rep. Randy Forbes (R-VA) , "Obama’s refusal to correct remarks he made that misstated the motto as “E pluribus unum” instead of “In God We Trust.”
"I trust God, but God wants to see us help ourselves and put people back to work." BO-11/03/11(What an ass!)

Thank you for being CarolynsVoice, because I don't have one.

While very few liberal, progressive or Marxist ideas are worth the powder it would take to blow a copy of Das Kapital to hell and back, every once in awhile they get something sort of right and it behooves the thinking conservative to learn what he can from these rare situations. Since progressives sting us sufficiently with outright lies about instances where we get things 100% right, there’s clearly no sense giving them avoidable ammunition . . . .

What’s Wrong with the Pre-Obamacare

American Healthcare System?

First let us get the obvious out of the way, what can we learn from the usual progressive snafus? The inescapable fact is that President Obama and the whole gaggle of Democrats who created Obamacare know little or nothing about economics, health care or the American Constitution; and they showed less leadership than a dog knocking over a trash can to get to household scraps. Thankfully, they made two monumental errors that enraged the American people as a whole which may very well provide the stimulus to get the whole thing repealed and prevent that monstrous law from ruining our country. A) Instead of using their majorities in the House and Senate to pass a semi-reasonable but very progressive and specious bill that many in the country would have tolerated (unwisely) by say a 75%-25% margin in both chambers of the Congress, they shoved their unpalatable horror down America’s throat in a very high-handed and corrupt way utterly in keeping with the advice of their patron saint Saul Alinsky that “the end justifies the means” (in a book which he literally dedicated to Lucifer, a.k.a. Satan) and B) They won in the short-term but probably lost in the long-run by creating a law in which finding any single part of it unconstitutional invalidates the entirety of the law itself and gives the individual states a serious constitutionality issue by basing a good part of the finances for that law upon their utterly foolish comparison to car insurance where mandated coverage is the norm in every state. While there are other lessons to be learned by using the progressive-Dems Obamacare boondoggle as a bad example . . . those are the major lessons to be studied . . . .

Rajjpuut doesn’t remember why, but one of his college classes was once addressed by an IRS agent. He was an objectionable fellow whose bad breath could be detected seven feet away who started off his lecture by saying something absolutely incongruous: “. . . our tax system is something we all hate, but it’s the best in the world . . .” At which point nausea hit Rajjpuut who grabbed his mouth and ran from the lecture hall post-haste. As a former health-educator, Rajjpuut has also heard the American health care system described as “the best in the world” and also felt like projectile-vomiting was in order. Such jingoistic nonsense by the pharmaceutical companies, doctors, hospitals, FDA, etc. is naught but a self-serving lie that conservatives would do well to never repeat. So the progressives have a lot of truth on their side when they criticize the American healthcare delivery system and American medicine. Not even talking about crucial items like the great need for tort reform and malpractice relief . . . the progressives are pointing at a mighty shaky system . . . .

America has easily the most expensive health care system in the world, roughly twice as expensive as the next most expensive country’s system. Without a doubt, Americans have one of the most unwieldy and least effective systems as well, especially when compared on a cost per capita basis. Visit the link immediately below to see what a famous conservative voice who does know something about health care has to say about why that is . . .

robertringer.com/status-quo.html

We have only to examine one solitary statistic to understand the truth of the claims made in the previous paragraph. Do you know what the 4th leading cause of death in America is? Most Americans have never heard of iatrogeny, also known as “Death by Medicine.” If the full and unvarnished truth were known, iatrogeny would outnumber combined heart attack and cancer deaths in killing our people; not to mention injuring, dismembering, sickening and inconveniencing our people. Pilots have a checklist they go through before takeoff; doctors, nurses and hospitals need such a list but don’t have it. However, the biggest causes of iatrogenic deaths are from A) doctor’s ignorance of health principles (rather than disease) needed to educate their patients in improving their lifestyles B) the absolute dearth of emphasis on “prevention” and C) the evils done by the AMA (American Medical Association), the pharmaceutical companies, and the aforementioned FDA.

The AMA is the Spanish Inquisition of the 20th and 21st Century. They define orthodox medicine and they define heresy. They perpetually side with the most invasive, most expensive and least effective medical procedures and the most expensive drugs with the most and the most evil side-effects. “Prevention” is a concept seldom advanced by the AMA. For example, the AMA has been backing cholesterol reduction as the be-all, end-all for heart attack prevention for over 40 years even though less than 47% of the people who die from heart attacks actually have high** cholesterol. 47%!!!! That's not "cause and effect," that's less than a coin-flip. But they, in league with our unaccountable pharmaceutical companies, and the totally asinine FDA (the Food and Drug Administration) that oversees the pharmaceutical companies have pushed these dangerous concoctions despite knowledge that a "high-cholesterol/heart attack link is a MYTH pure and simple. The sins of the FDA could be the subject of a 500 volume set of encyclopedias.

The AMA created a list of about 60 diseases which they say are caused by problems with the body's immune systems (2nd link above) and called them all "auto-immune diseases" which means they are all in a practical sense incurable and again we set up the patient to A. not be cured B. told he/she must subscribe to a lifetime regimen with very dangerous and expensive drugs. The Mayo Clinic in the 40's and 50's cured people of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) but now the AMA prefers more expensive and dangerous MS medications that do not cure anything. In Europe they surprisingly do not have much interest in calling diseases "auto-immune" or "incurable" and not surprisingly they cure people of MS with rather inexpensive resources.

Medicine is a science, or should be, with a bit of art thrown in. The AMA, however, much like the Church in condemning Galileo, believes its authority is the final say. The scientific method starts with asking the right questions and pursuing them wherever they lead, not with relying on anyone's authority, least of all a hidebound entity like the AMA. Despite efforts in Europe and here in the United States to examine these diseases more scientifically, the AMA clings to auto-immunity as the final word.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autoimmune_disease#Autoimmune_diseases

Looking at just one example of the auto-immune paradigm’s weaknesses, here's a link that will convince any thinking person that there are MS questions, and by extension auto-immune questions we must resolve that canNOT be resolved within the auto-immune hypothesis:

forum.neurologychannel.com/hc-forum/multiple-sclerosis_peer-to-peer_f128/-questions-i-ran-across_t43496.html

Ya'all live long, strong and ornery,

Bob** In the early 70’s high cholesterol was listed as 300 or above; then it dropped to 250; then 220; then 200; and now patients with cholesterol of 180 or higher are said to have “high cholesterol” with some talk of dropping the threshold down to 160. Since 85% of the population has cholesterol readings over 180, there is absolutely no predictive value in their statistic and thus the claim is false. In truth, 350 cholesterol is not uncommon among Eskimos and other quite healthy aboriginal peoples. The “cause” of heart attack is more closely aligned with overall lifestyle, but also more related to high triglycerides and various inflammations according to all the research Rajjpuut’s mustered.

An awful lot of Republican incumbents as well as Democrats are feeling a bit nervous these days. Attribute that situation to the existence of the recently created TEA (taxed enough already) Party. From the git-go, Democrats have reacted with undisguised hostility and sought to besmirch and marginalize the TEA Partiers and dismiss their concerns with constitutionality and fiscal responsibility as the ravings of racist extremists. That policy is not only ignorant and loathsome, it also hasn’t worked and has only served to highlight just how out of touch the Obama administration and Democratic leadership as a whole has become.

Republicans are also “edgy” about the future created by this new activist force. Blogs are springing up all over conservative websites saying some version of this . . . “The tea party seems to be thinking they can pick our candidates for us, and they openly prefer candidates that are not incubents or not already “part of the establishment . . . of course, they’ll want us to fund the campaigns for these newcomers. This doesn’t make any sense to me . . . “ Republicans are treating this situation as a quagmire when they should be embracing it as raw opportunity. If Rajjpuut were named Head #1 Republican Honcho tomorrow here’s how he’d approach the “problem.” It’s been said, there is none so blind as he who will not see. It seems that Republicans canNOT see the future clearly because they don’t know their own history? Allow Rajjpuut to refresh some memories . . . .

Sixteen years after the Dixiecrats walked out (at the Democratic National Convention that nominated Harry Truman) during Hubert Humphrey’s speech in favor of civil rights legislation, they found a home in 1964 favoring Republican conservative Barry Goldwater. To be blunt, they were about the only truly enthusiastic voters for Barry. Four years later, Nixon courted them as the “Silent Majority” and the Republican Party stopped being the “Party of Lincoln” in the eyes of many minorities and that condition still exists today. Times have changed, but perceptions haven't. For example, Obama received more White votes and a higher percentage of White votes (almost 48%) than either Kerry or Gore, but McCain only received 4.3% of the Black votes . . . so the Democrats could fairly be excused of having the most racist party. In any case, politically there was an enormous plus for Nixon and many Republicans . . . the G.O.P. was now a much more conservative party and since in any given year, 65-70% of the voters describe themselves as “fiscal-conservatives” Republicans since Nixon’s days have had a natural advantage that has led them to winning seven of the last eleven presidential elections.

With those numbers in their favor, Republicans are a natural “slam-dunk.” Frankly, however, the G.O.P., from the standpoint of Conservative Democrats and Independents (a good percentage of the 65% fiscal-conservatives in America) especially, has gone so far out of the way to make itself UN-attractive that in local, state and national elections they have largely squandered their birthright and continually snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Four key perceptions in many voters’ eyes have cemented inside them the picture of numerous Republicans as Racists, Old-Fashioned, generally intolerant and an even “ugly” group because . . . .

• They believe that the party is “wagged” by its tail, that is, they believe that former Dixiecrats control the party to this day and they are still racists.

• They disagree with the party’s UNcompromising Stand on abortion even when the woman’s life is in danger, or in cases of rape and incest or for retarded mothers.

• They abhor demands for teaching Creationism in public school science classes and teaching Christian songs in public schools. This is why God created private schools . . . and the founding fathers created Separation of Church and State! This is the TEA Party’s only constitutional beef with Republicans but it is a big one. However, they believe that the Democrats are trying to destroy the Constitution.

• Their perception is that the Republican Party is a sectional (southern) party and not really involved in national issues . . . even for people who don’t regard the G.O.P. as “racists” this view is widely-held.

(Setting aside the detractions mentioned above perceived as “Republican” weaknesses,) here’s what observation and common sense tell us about the TEA Party movement. It is a fiscally-conservative movement. It is a constitutionally-conservative movement. The members of the TEA Party are somewhat older, somewhat wealthier, and somewhat better educated than the average Republican and much moreso than the average Democrat. In short, the TEA Partiers are naturally aligned with the Republican Party, but oooops -- there is that “Republican ugliness” to contend with. So they are definitely an anti-Obama group; anti-progressive group; anti-socialist group and much, much more likely to vote against a Democrat than for one. The problem Republicans are really worried about, however, is that many Republicans feel as threatened by the TEA Party as the Democrats do. They could split the conservative vote for many years to come and ensure a long continuation of Democrats in power nationally and on the state and local levels as well.

Let’s bring our history lesson up closer in time: three potentially great things have happened relatively recently:

1) the TEA Party came into existence and is threatening to hold ALL incumbent politicians’ feet to the fire . . . and isn’t that about time? Big spending irresponsible Republicans should face the same ignominious fate as big spending irresponsible Democrats. Our nation is in a constitutional and fiscal crisis and the voters must solve the problem.

2) The Republican Party finally wised up. They abandoned their old ugly-right “litmus testing.” Instead they took to heart Ronald Reagan’s words, “If a fellow votes with me eight times out of ten, I regard him as a friend.” They created the “Republican Purity Test”:

http://uscommonsense.net/blog/2009/11/25/republican-purity-test/

You’ll remember that the need for such a test arose when the Republican Party chose a candidate to run for a seat in Upper New York and funded her with over a million dollars. It was a conservative region and the locals had not wanted her and were hopping mad. Their ire increased when it came to light that this was a candidate possibly to the left of Barak Obama and that the Democrat running against her was far more conservative. A real conservative entered the race as an Independent Conservative against them both and almost won after the TEA Party money and fury; and national contributions forced the FAKE Republican to withdraw with only about 7% of the voters committed to her. Her parting shot was to ask her supporters to support the Democrat who won by roughly 2.5%. Unfortunately, the G.O.P. as a whole has not acknowledged the purity test and as far as I know has not enforced the purity test before the primaries. So it appears that this very good idea is just lying dormant.

3) The TEA Party released its “Contract From America” as part of their rambunctious “Tax Day” protests on April 15th:

http://www.contractfromamerica.com/Idea.aspx

Looking closely at the two documets with Reagan’s jelly beans over his eyes, Rajjpuut suggests that if the G.O.P. Purity Test rates an 8.2 on a scale of ten, then the TEA Party document deserves an 11.0!

So, in answer to the worries about the TEA Party. How exactly does the Republican Party respond to their presence and even exploit the common ground between the two political entities?

Rajjpuut (as #1 Head Honcho Republican would suggest the following ACTION PLAN for exploiting the common ground existing between the TEA Party and the Republican Party. What should the nominees and candidates do?

1. Ignore the TEA Party. Don’t kowtow to them; don’t treat them as special. Don’t go out of your way to welcome them as likely-Republican-voters or to exaggerate the commonalities. In other words, don’t be political at all. Treat all voters and all campaign contributors the same (with respect but without debasing yourself).

2. Look over their “Contract From America” and see if 8, 9 or 10 of these items can be adopted/adapted for the G.O.P.

3. Look over the “Republican Purity Test” and seriously consider leaving items #9 and #10 out of the picture. 9 is redundant and 10, while important, is about 30th on any sensible list of crucial items for dealing with the crisis year 2010.

4. Using the phraseology of the “Republican Purity Test” modify and combine the two lists and with big drumming and fanfare announce the “Finalized Republican Purity Test” of about fifteen items. Then see which Republican primary candidates meet the purity test and which do not and let the party faithful know who had 15/15; who had 14/15/; who scored 13/15; who had 12/15 and who did NOT pass the test.

5. Ignore the TEA Party and set about fielding a slate of true statesmen and true stateswomen who meet the new Republican standards at least 12/15 and emphasize the key fifteen points at every step of the campaign.

6. Impress the TEA Party and all voters by seeking NOT to impress anyone, but steadfastly and seriously approaching the challenge ahead without pause until voted into office (Then take a break for about three weeks to refresh body, mind and spirit. Read the Constitution and start planning for your swearing in and beyond).

7. Defeat every possible Obama sycophant across the board and start repealing all his garbage. Consider impeaching the communist SOB for not upholding his oath of office and constantly attacking the U.S. Constitution.

Ya’ll live long, strong and ornery,

Rajjpuut
ps: the strategy outlined here was what Bill Clinton did in response to the Republican sweep (in 1994 aligned with their "Contract With America") that derailed all his leftist initiatives. Republicans might not be able to pass a bill or might even pass a bill which Clinton would veto. Then he'd take basically the same bill and move it five or ten degrees to the left with a few deft changes and this time have his Democrats initiate it or bi-partisan sponsors. Wonder of wonders the bills would all pass with large majorities. If the Republican Party co-opts the wisdom of the TEA Party and makes it part of the Republican "planking" for 2010 . . . similar results will occur.

As Thursday's Tax Day demonstrations drew over two million enthusiastic protestors out for the occasion, totally ignored by the mainstream media was the unveiling of the TEA (taxed enough already) Party’s “Contract FROM America.” The Contract from America consists of the “Top-Ten” most popular planks from among the group’s twenty-one original planks. Of the top-ten planks in the Contract, the number-one issue is clearly protecting the Constitution . . . not just because a plank by that name received the most internet votes and a closely related plank was voted into fifth position, but also because each and every one of the other eight planks honors the concept of limited federal government, returning power to the people and the states vis a vis the federal government and controlling size, spending and interference of the federal government. Here are the Contract From America's Top Ten Planks:

Protect the Constitution of the United States

Reject Cap and Trade legislation

Demand a balanced budget

Enact fundamental tax reform

Restore fiscal responsibility and constitutionally limited

government in Washington, D.C.

End Runaway government spending

Defund, repeal and replace government-run health care

Pass an “all-of-the-above” energy policy

Stop porkbarrel spending and earmarks in legislation

Prevent further tax hikes

These are the ten yardsticks for measuring candidates this coming November which the TEA Party will employ. Rajjpuut finds nine of the ten items he supported on the list as well as his item #13 and is deeply impressed with the wisdom shown by those who voted on the twenty-one item list. For those of us who believe that informed and caring citizens are the nation’s only chance of stepping back from the precipice of doom, this is a most heart-warming result. For the imbecilic mass media who called these gentle and concerned people “racists, haters and violent extremists,” Rajjpuut reminds you of Glen Beck’s nightly close using this Gandhi quote. “Let truth be your anvil and non-violence your hammer. Whatever does NOT ring true when struck on the anvil of truth by the hammer of non-violence must be rejected . . .” so let it be when the media’s lies and hate and extreme left-leanings are brought upon us . . . they are all rejected in the process. Just as the TEA Party says to the legislators “You work for us, we don’t work for you,” Rajjpuut says to the liberal media, “you either cover the truth or you only pretend to cover the news.” This fine document (these top-ten planks making up their 2010 Contract from America) is truly exactly what this country needs now. Let the media cover this great grassroots revolt truly and honestly or let them all die from lack of solvency as people refuse to pay to read or hear their lies.

Initial frustration with big spending Republicans drove Ryan Hecker and other fiscal conservatives to the creation of the TEA Party but it is the Democrats today who are the ones most worried by the grassroots disgust with business as usual in Washington, D.C. This week the TEA Party comes of age . . . as they flex their political muscle with a second survey called the "Contract FROM America . . . seeking to create a TEA Party platform consisting of ten planks . . . .

To date over 400,000 surveys have been completed and thus far the top three planks of the TEA Party movement appear to be:

#1 Protect the Constitution by requiring each bill to identify the specific provisions of the Constitution giving Congress the power to do what the bill would do. 82% of all survey responses included this plank.

#2 Reject “Cap and Trade Tax” Legislation and stop costly new regulations that would increase unemployment, raise consumer prices and weaken the nation’s global competitiveness with no measurable impact upon global temperatures. 70.8% of all surveys included this plank. Obama has not been able to push this bill through the senate and is now seeking to make an end run around the legislative process by having the EPA issue a directive in line with the provisions in the senate.
#3 Demand a balanced budget
by getting a Constitutional amendment process to require a balanced budget with a two-thirds majority required for any tax hikes. 69.6% of respondents approved of that plank.

The Contract From America is the brainchild of 29-year-old Houston attorney Ryan Hecker. Hecker invented the concept even before the tea party movement began in February 2009. Hecker says the ultimate objective is to “influence the outcome of the midterm elections” the way the Contract With America did in 1994, or even more.

"My dream, my hope," Hecker said, "is that economic conservative candidates and those who want to be economic conservatives in the future will sign on, and that we get a bunch of blue-dog Democrats and tons of elected officials onboard, and that they recognize that any document they craft themselves won't be as powerful as one coming from the people.”

Using the results of more than 5,000 surveys from members of the grass-roots movement, the Conservative Political Action Committee winnowed the ideas down to 21 proposals. Then they posted the list online in the as an extended survey, and directed voters to the ContractFromAmerica Web site to select the top 10 ideas.

The ten proposals that the grass-roots voters deem the most important will be included in the full ContractFromAmerica proposal, to be unveiled on April 15 during the massive Tax Day Tea Party rally being conducted in the nation's capital. Reflecting the widespread, de-centralized power of the tea party movement, the Contract From America also will be simultaneously revealed in Houston, Austin, Atlanta, and 80 other locations in the country. Hecker’s idea was based upon the Republican Party’s Contract with America in which the G.O.P. successfully passed nine of the ten contract items into law and forced Bill Clinton to abandon his liberal agenda and govern from the center.

"The Contract From America was a great document," Hecker says, "but ths time it's not top down, it's bottom up . . . It comes from the people, and it's how representative government should work."

"It started with my recent frustration with the Republican Party's lack of legitimacy on economic-conservative issues," he explains. "They no longer represented for me a proxy for my beliefs on the economic front. So this idea came from that. I thought, 'How do we move this country back into an economic conservative direction if that's not where it seems either party is headed. And then it just fit perfectly within the TEA party movement." To which Rajjpuut says, AMEN!
