I haven’t read this yet. I have read the original and loved it.

Wanda Draper Ph.D, is the professional woman that inspired me to write a book to help other in the target audience of special needs or autism. Her book, “Your Child Is Smarter Than You Think,” that is being rereleased or is already now; gave me back my gumption and confidence as a parent. I knew my little one was hiding his secret true intelligence.  Confirmation came recently from a Microsoft Grade Readability Calculator, showing eleventh grade sixth month level. There is some error no doubt; but he is  afraid to show his true talents because of anxiety. Wanda is right!

I am sure this book will be an A+ addition. When I get my copy I will let everyone know. By the way Amazon says they are taking orders but if you want a copy, I can help you with this. The author has copies available or they are available through the author.

Below is what Amazon has to say about the book

“Your Child Is Smarter Than You Think! bridges the gap between how children think and learn and how they feel and behave. Dr. Wanda Draper discusses a whole-child approachto articulate the child’s development and its relationship to behavior and learning from infancy through adolescence. Based on thirty years of experience with thousands of children of all ages, and their parents and teachers, she suggests simple yet powerful ways to help children achieve success in school and life. She says, “You can’t send the head to school and leave the body at home—the whole child goes to school, the whole child lives at home, and the whole child participates in the world.”

Through a down-to-earth approach, Dr. Draper offers insights about how to tell the difference between natural behavior and a real problem—and what to do about it. She gives a lively explanation of how children think and act in relation to how they feel. Your Child Is Smarter Than You Think! focuses, at each stage and pathway of development, on suggestions for how to successfully:

  • live and work with a smart child
  • help without interfering
  • activate the learning loop
  • communicate to get results

“Parents and professionals are often confronted by the challenges of children because they are smarter than we think.”
-Dr. Wanda Draper

Wanda Draper, PhD, professor emeritus of the College of Medicine, University of Oklahoma, testifies about the relationship between childhood development and adulthood consequences as an expert witness in capital death-penalty trials. She studied at Texas Woman’s University, with additional studies at Harvard University and in Geneva, Switzerland. The author of sixteen books, she has appeared on television, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, and has been quoted in CNN News, USA TodayThe New York Times,The Washington PostParent magazine, and Reader’s Digest.”

I promise this is a must for educators and parents.

This Blog Post will be short and to the point. I will basically give a quick summary of each resources and how it is available. The biggest share are available in a PDF on the net. I can explain the content and list the PDF name exactly. I think the names are exact but if not they are close enough for you to find them in order to obtain the resource yourself. I cannot by law copy them and give them to you. If I could I would copy them here and make them easily for you to copy The first PDF is titled “The Future of Children with Disabilities,” from http://www.futureofchildren.org. It is volume 22 Number 2 Spring 2012. It contains a number of articles within the PDF; ranging from and introduction on disabilities and the future to emerging technologies. My next pick to place in this mix is on self advocacy and determination. There is the National Gateway sight and resources; twitter handle @gatewaytosd, facbook is gatewaytosd and Utube GagewaytoSD. I can’t speak with certainty about Utube having videos on self advocacy and determination. However, I am pretty certain that Gateway has videos about this topic. The PDF title to look for on the net is 2011_issues1_selfd_selfa.pdf. It deals with advocacy and determination on many levels. The publishers are National Training Institute on Self Determination. As I stated before there are many other resources on the National Gateway and Self Determination site at http://www.ngsd.org/. Here I want to point out the great tool graphic organizers are for teaching to those that lean to the visual learning mode. They can be a great tool for many children tool. Look at these terms and places listed below or put in a search engine to reveal many free resources for graphic organizers. Many can make there own with the word processing software on their computer. The part that deals with accounting or graphic to make tables. There are those that say shapes that can be used to make your own graphic organizer to tailor your mapping of content. But see below for more; Freeology is a place where you can get free graphic organizers Rubistar or putt graphic organizers in any search engine to reveal more sources of free organizers. You may have sign up for a free newsletter but I consider that a small price to pay. It is up to you. I want to bring a term to you called Project Based Learning. See this site for a free article http://www.edutopia.org./user185983.edia/profile. Students basically are applying learning to real world applications or doing case studies. I think this is great for all students but specifically for students with disabilities. Grants from Youth Service America and Service Learning are available for teachers to apply as well as other nonprofits and areas. The next to PDF’s are a result of a ten year study by The National Autism Center’s National Standard’s Report. They deal with best practices in education in healthcare. The one on healthcare can be download by a family touched by autism I believe. The one one on education is free to teachers, educators and maybe homeschoolers. At least this is my understanding. Please read all the declarations and instructions on all the sites and follow the rules. And below are the exact PDF names of the reports: NAC EdManuel1_Finalpdf NAC NSPReport_FINPDF I know these will be of great to use to families, teachers, providers and others working with or associated with autism and special needs.

My disability does not impair my hearing and I am extremely bright.

Perhaps even brighter than you are.

  1. THOU SHALL NOT IGNORE ME TALK NEGATIVELY

ABOUT ME, SPEAK UNNATURALLY SLOW, OR ASK

QUESTIONS TO OTHERS IN THE ROOM THAT

    PERTAIN TO ME.

  1. THOU SHALL BELIEVE IN ME AND HELP ME

BELIEVE IN MY SKILLS AND SELF WORTH.  NOTE

THE GOOD IN ME AND DO NOT MERELY POINT

    OUT MY NEGATIVE BEHAVIORS.

Believe in me and I will believe in myself.

  1. THOU SHALL NOT PERCEIVE ME AS DUMB.

I am extremely intelligent. I do not learn in the same way as you, and

maybe not as quickly as you expect me to.  Have patience with me.

Once I recall information, I never forget.

  1. THOU SHALL NOT JUDGE MY BEHAVIOR

I can get overstimulated in certain environments. I maybe hypersensitive

to sound and loud noises may hurt my ears.  Fluorescent lights are

distracting for me. Thea have a humming noise and can pulsate.  All the

noises in a room can blur together. Please make accommodations to

     help me.

******All of the above come from the book(pages 12 and 13) Ten Commandments Of interacting with Kids On The Autism Spectrum And Related Commandments by Mari Nosal.

I AM SAYING GO BUY THE BOOK IF YOU NEED HELP IN THIS ARENA. THE PRICE IS EXTREMELY REASONABLE FOR GOOD ADVICE I PAID MORE FOR VERY POOR ADVICE 17 YEARS AGO THAT WAS SO FAR OFF.  I WAS TOLD TO PUT MY SON IN AN INSTITUTION. HE IS DOING GREAT NOW.

Now it is time to inventory my parental behavior after seventeen years.

Commandments

  1. Of course I have yelled.  I am human.  I try not and will try even harder.   Like the Ten Commandments, it is hard for anyone to be perfect.  The point I am taking away from this is if you are doing it all the time and never make an effort there needs to be huge changes.  I try very hard and still have to watch very hard.  It is not an easy task.  I hope this book does for you what I wish I had known.  Maybe then my learned behavior wouldn’t be like kicking smoking.
  2. Guilty.  Still do this some. Yet, did a lot when he was a child.  I think most parents do this out of concern and love instead of malice. Again, younger parents and teachers take the advice and wisdom.
  3. I always believed in my son.  Careful though with all those extra therapies.  My son Tanner asked, “Mom how stupid do you think I am?”  He thought I pictured him as dumb and needed to fix him.  I told him that I had problems when I was younger and I didn’t get help.  I told him I was trying to give him something I didn’t get to help me with the stress and strain.  Perceptions and Deceptions a slight tongue imbalance but oh how the emotions roll off so different!.

  1. See 3 tis the same to me.
  2. Guilty again.  I defer a little here.  I say these kids need to be held to a same high standard.  One has to get to know these kids well while working with to figure out when they are playing you and not.  I know I have seen my son play reading on 4th grade level and finally nailed him this summer on 11th grade using a MicroSoft 2010 Grade Reading Readability Calculator.  He still tried to wiggle out but now I have him in a regular History Class.  The school provided a one on one aide without me throwing a fit.  The schools have always been great when it comes to my son.  Maybe a couple of minor things but the schools rule for me.

OVER ALL IT IS TIME TO BUY THIS BOOK...ESPECIALLY FOR YOUNGER MOMS.  SHORT STORY TIME TOO.

My son used to scream loud and piercing in the car.  I would pull over and check on him.  One automatic act was to turn off the radio.  When he got older and put two words together he said, “Music Off!”  By Ollamok

Education for our children, whether it be public schools, charter schools, private schools, church schools, etc., must focus on training more ‘values’ of ‘right v. wrong’ on civility as taught in ‘civics’ classes; an approach that seems to have become minimized, or perhaps, disappeared.  It appears children are not even taught ‘privacy rights’ in ‘public schools’.  Children and older individuals and groups ignore and infringe on personal properties as it these ‘rights’ do not even exist.

Prior to the 1963 SCOTUS decision to remove the ‘Holy Bible’ from our public schools, there was very little crime in each community.  As ‘God’ was removed, our public schools became unguarded zones to open sex, illegal drugs, guns, etc.

Now, there are many schools that seem to have ‘teachers’ in ‘public schools’ who do not even know and/or teach our Constitution and its’ values.  It has become a rarity to even recite the ‘Pledge of Allegiance’ in public schools.  Parents are joining and encircling their children’s lives in parent/child(ren) public schools, yet seem to be swallowed by our immoral individual teachings.

Fundamental freedoms, as written by our Founding Fathers, in building our nation based on Christian values are most important to restoring our social, fiscal, and national security, ‘in that order’.

Each responsible parent wants his/her child(ren) to get the best education.  Each responsible parent should be allowed to choose from multiple approved responsible school resources, and taxpayers’ funding(s) should be directed to the child(ren).  No schools, public schools, charter schools, private schools, church schools, etc., should be allowed to continue with public funding without responsibility of teaching our children these values.

CORE is an approach used by foreign governments, dictated by the Federal government and supported by Gates and the companies that provide the tests. TCAP tests cost $8.00 per student and the CORE tests may run $29.00. Aside from the money and that NY and MA have had lower test scores after CORE, it is not right for the Feds to further control our local school curriculum. Specifically, having math that will consider partial  correct a answer to 4x3 = 11, if you explain your logic with pictures, boxes and statements. The actual math portion is wrong and would be corrected. Also, you can have the correct math answer . but fail to explain and demonstrate your logic via picture boxes and get marked wrong! Then there is the language section which drops some traditional stuff and adds cultural and other enrichment, which includes various life style options. These get more perverse as the KIDS get in the 11th and 12th grades.

The fact that 45 states have adopted this Federal approved and pushed program is enough reason to question it, but there are other serious reasons too.

Now, that Obama has gotten the States to fall in line he is seeking to set up a National School Board to ensure future compliance! Obama's  Secretary of Education was the Superintendent of Chicago schools, which are some of the worse schools in the nation. Arnie Duncan is from Chicago and I guess that trumps all issues when filling any federal appointed position.

Obama Care and the IRS enforcement is being force feed onto America too. As Obama continues to reduce individual choice, States rights `and local control of our schools, I wonder what is the end objective? I know in history it has been said those that control the youth control the future and to control the school textbooks gives you control of the youths. I am sure that this is the final goal of Obama.

The roots of this approach rest in previous administrations, but its embrace is tremendous and force feed under Obama.

We need local control and simple block grants from the federal government and no Federal Department of Education. We did not have it for most of our history and did better before it was formed.

Obama made a speech this week and I realized it was almost the same as his speech in 2005 and 2008. All talk, no action. He did say the GOP is doing nothing and chasing false stories, like IRS, NSA, Benghazi and others. Of course, these are real issues and need to be investigated, not just distractions. He wants jobs and says he wants jobs and then stymie's jobs at every turn, e.g., holding up the Keystone pipeline, excessive EPA regulations, Obama care ( Major job killer and economic killer), Illegal EEOC appointments and rulings, wasted money on non viable non economic alternative energy, war on coal, limitation of energy production on federal lands, slow energy permits, US wealth distribution, war on the US military ( Cuts in critical areas and reduction of 12 brigades), continued assault on States rights, i.e., the AG filing court rulings on Texas election system to force Federal approval, Obama and his race baiting in Texas and everywhere, e...tc.,.   The President said the GOP has no plan, but they do and have pushed a budget. We need a leader and a person to work out our issues and solve problems. I regret that we do not have such a leader in Obama. Leading from behind is not leadership.
WE could have an energy policy, eliminate or reduce the *EPA, Energy and Education departments . Set goal to be energy independent and use all natural resources. Allow the market place to develop future alternative energy and greatly reduce federal tax dollars. Drop ethanol subsidies and requirement for fuel. These savings could be used for food and aid where needed.  These * are fairly recent new departments and have billions in budgets. They should be hollowed out, distribute the money in block grants to the States and allow the States to control environmental, energy and education with limited federal oversight.

Christianity – the faith of 85% of Americans is under attack from all sides, especially the Federal Government and its array of misinformed propagandists in Academia, Media and the bureaucracies. I thought this list of Catholic priests who were the fathers of various mathematics and scientific disciplines might be interesting.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Roman_Catholic_cleric%E2%80%93scientists  These Catholic clergy didn’t get their motivation by belonging to a Church that was anti-science. In fact scientific method was devised in the 12th  Century at the Cathedral School at Chartres. Then the science and technology ball started rolling! The Church does stand against anything that devalues the sanctity and value of human life from conception to natural death. “Progressives” whine and complain when they are stymied from imposing their culture of death, claiming the Church is against scientific endeavor.

Former Obama czar and now Harvard genius Cass Sunstein is lamenting over the lack of American students’ interest in science and math. (I have some bragging rights here – my Grandson Gerald II recently graduated in Math at the top of his class at U/Alaska-Anchorage. He is preparing to press on to Ph.D. Gerald is a product of the Carden School – the antithesis of public education as currently practiced from the totalitarian level.) Sunstein is right in noting the kids arrive in college with poor preparation in the sciences – I might add in bad physical shape because their high school PE programs were cut, their corpus collosi challenged because their right brain development in music and art programs were cut to make room for the political correctness of phony racial diversity, gender equality, sexual proclivity and hate America themes. And they expect kids to be motivated to subject themselves to real disciplines?

I think what Sunstein and the rest of the “progressive” crowd miss is the attitude base of today’s education process. The students are hammered with all the evils of American hegemony and destroying the earth with our technology. Schools under guidance from DC promote Godless political correctness in all its evil forms, including youthful guilt trips. The clergy-discoverers were likely motivated by God’s command in Genesis – “subdue the earth – be fruitful and multiply…” That doesn’t mean beat it to death, it means search, discover, refine, apply and bring forth the fruit of products, processes and opportunities for all to expand their horizons by creativity and service – giving glory to God – the only entity that can handle it! That's called Stewardship - the opposite of EPA regulations written by ignoramuses!

These are the “progressive solutions” – see a challenge – centralize it. See it isn’t working, throw money at it. See it still isn’t working – throw more money and write new draconian rules and regulations, ad nauseum.  If that isn’t insanity for the sake of power, just what is? Of course, its also job security for nonperformers expecting cushy perks for the rest of their lives – until their idiot-run cities like Detroit and Stockton go bankrupt. “California here I come…” Love, BK

Why would a student become fired up about science and technology when his education process has laid a guilt trip on him for even thinking about it? At the world famous Bakersfield Relay For Life, I fell in to walk with a young black woman and her son. She, like me was a cancer survivor. I asked her son what he wanted to be when he grew up. A nice, well-mannered kid, his answer shocked me. He said, “I want to become a lawyer so I can sue corporations!”

As an engineer, I’m a lousy structural designer, but a pretty good innovator currently holding forth some very fine “green” technologies for water, energy and environmentally pure applications. These are “very fine” because they actually reduce costs and eliminate the kind of chemical hazards that require a safety shower nearby in case a worker gets soaked with iodine or acid. Do we get an ounce of encouragement from the environmental gurus on government payrolls? Hell no! It falls right back to good old free enterprise, salesmanship and problem solving.

When President George H. W. Bush promised to shut down the Department of Education then caved in to the “progressives” of both parties, he missed his chance for true greatness. The education process would have been returned to where it belongs and competence and competition is the highest – with the parents and the local community. Now we’re stuck with three major messes all brought on by the Federal Government interfering where the Constitution forbids it to go: Health, Education and Welfare – the playground of eugenicists and totalitarians.

“Times they are a’changing!”

Free parents to promote and allow their children an education; it’s their future.

By Oscar Y. Harward

Liberals, Progressives, Socialists, and Democrats continue to ‘force’ parents to continue to pay their taxes, and also send their children to ‘public schools’.  As an alternative to the ‘public schools’, the taxpayers are forced to pay additional costs for offering any alternative education for their children.

All legislators should and could release parents across America from a Socialistic ‘public education’ and allow parents to determine the ‘very best education’ for their children as may be attained.  It is merely a change of the states’ statues on ‘taxes and education’ within their respective domains.

Our “public schools”, led by our US Department of Education has, and continues to subsidize, champion, sponsor, lecture, and sustain more ‘Liberal’ social ideals; ideals contrary to our Constitutional ‘Christian’ values.

It is important for political leaders, our citizens, and the ‘main-stream’ Medias to recognize that our ‘public education’ ‘results’ continue downhill, as compared to other forms of education for our children, and other nations around the world.

It is in the best interest of the  children’s ‘parents’ and the ‘taxpayers’ for our children to be offered the ‘best education available’ for our communities, whether it be in ‘public schools’, private schools, charter schools, parochial schools, or home schools.  ‘All schools’ must meet ‘common test requirements’ in proving each child’s ‘instructional progress’ in their learning.

As Canadian-American journalist, author, and political philosopher, Isabel Paterson said, "A tax supported, compulsory educational system is the complete model of the totalitarian state."  Most states’ ‘public education’ has been a ‘compulsory educational system’ for years.  As any alternative to ‘public education’, the parents are forced to continue paying their taxes, then pay additional enormous costs for other ‘replacement’ education.

Competing to deliver the ‘very best education’ intended for (y)our children will require all ‘effective’ schools to get better and stronger.

Set our parents ‘free’ so as to promote and allow their children to ascertain a valuable, dynamic, healthy, and prosperous education; it is all about their future.

Shame on you, Boy Scouts of America's National Council as ‘you’ disgrace yourselves with your action, and in doing so to ‘improperly’ teach ‘immorally’ to our young children.

America’s ‘morality’ was just down-graded by the Boy Scouts of America's National Council as they voted to allow and/or accept ‘homosexuality is OK’ in the Boy Scouts.  This vote by the Boy Scouts of America's National Council indicates these leaders’ own personal reservation ‘honor’ teachings are expected to be decency responsibilities to our children; teachings the children have learned in their Houses of Worship and in their own homes from our Holy Bible that homosexuality is not OK.

Yes, shame on you, Boy Scouts of America's National Council.  With your acceptance of supporting homosexuality in the Boy Scouts of America, you are a disgrace to our younger generation(s).

Are we learning or emulating?

Please take a few minutes to read and consider the following quotation.  I believe it speaks volumes and some may indeed wish to read the entire speech from which it was excerpted...

...I ought to say why I think it necessary, in these days, to go back to a discipline which we had discarded. The truth is that for the last 300 years or so we have been living upon our educational capital. The post-Renaissance world, bewildered and excited by the profusion of new "subjects" offered to it, broke away from the old discipline (which had, indeed, become sadly dull and stereotyped in its practical application) and imagined that henceforward it could, as it were, disport itself happily in its new and extended Quadrivium without passing through the Trivium. But the scholastic tradition, though broken and maimed, still lingered in the public schools and universities: Milton, however much he protested against it, was formed by it-the debate of the Fallen Angels, and the disputation of Abdiel with Satan have the tool-marks of the Schools upon them, and might, incidentally, profitably figure as a set passage for our Dialectical studies. Right down to the nineteenth century, our public affairs were mostly managed, and our books and journals were for the most part written, by people brought up in homes, and trained in places, where that tradition was still alive in the memory and almost in the blood. Just so, many people to-day who are atheist or agnostic in religion, are governed in their conduct by a code of Christian ethics which is so rooted in their unconscious assumptions that it never occurs to them to question it.

But one cannot live on capital forever. A tradition, however firmly rooted, if it is never watered, though it dies hard, yet in the end it dies. And to-day a great number-perhaps the majority-of the men and women who handle our affairs, write our books and our newspapers, carry out research, present our plays and our films, speak from our platforms and pulpits-yes, and who educate our young people, have never, even in a lingering traditional memory, undergone the scholastic discipline. Less and less do the children who come to be educated bring any of that tradition with them. We have lost the tools of learning-the axe and the wedge, the hammer and the saw, the chisel and the plane-that were so adaptable to all tasks. Instead of them, we have merely a set of complicated jigs, each of which will do but one task and no more, and in using which eye and hand receive no training, so that no man ever sees the work as a whole or "looks to the end of the work." What use is it to pile task on task and prolong the days of labour, if at the close the chief object is left unattained? It is not the fault of the teachers-they work only too hard already. The combined folly of a civilisation that has forgotten its own roots is forcing them to shore up the tottering weight of an educational structure that is built upon sand. They are doing for their pupils the work which the pupils themselves ought to do. For the sole true end of education is simply this: to teach men how to learn for themselves; and whatever instruction fails to do this is effort spent in vain.”

These are the excerpted last two paragraphs from a speech published in 1948 and delivered by DOROTHY L. SAYERS

What value is the Republican Party ‘Platform’ other than a ‘piece of paper’ when (y)our ‘GOP leadership’ is shaped and approved from the ‘grassroots’ of our Party, displayed as a roadmap for leaders to follow, but its’ precise and detailed values are ‘never applied’ or ‘required’?

Is it possible for the Republican Party ‘leadership’ to return our GOP and our nation back to include a ‘common-sense’ GOP Platform on ‘social issues’, or is the GOP going to continue downhill and into the sewer?

Will the GOP return to Christian values as our Founding Fathers established in our Constitution?  Many others are more than willing to follow the GOP as our Party will then expand.

When President Ronald Reagan said to ‘Build a big tent’, he explained the need to build the Republican Party with others who would support similar ‘social and fiscal’ issues some 80% of the time.  Support of the issues must be based on ‘differing’ issues; Liberal Democrat Party issues v. Conservative Republican Party issues.  President Reagan’s ‘win’ was to persuade others to accept his philosophy; and not for President Reagan, you and/or me to accept theirs.

The Republican Party Platform and its’ ‘leadership’ must subscribe to ‘Social, Fiscal, and National Security’ issues; in that order.  When the ‘Social’ issues become the forerunner, the other issue concerns follow in the ‘right’ path; not necessarily so in any other order.

If the GOP ‘leadership’ continues to degrade (y)our Republican Party based on ‘shameful’, ‘immoral’, and/or other ‘wasteful spending’ on fiscal issues, the Republican Party will die and ‘many others’ will move forward with another “Party” based on ‘moral, fiscal, and National Security’ issue values.

Our Republican Party does not need ‘Republicans In Name Only’ (RINO) or any other ‘Democrat look-alikes’ in our Party.

‘Main-stream Medias’ and Liberal Democrats steer the ‘out-of-control’ spending while ‘RINO’ Republicans join the left-wing Democrats’ proposals in crossing the ‘political aisle’ to vote and accept more additional spending.  Secondly, these same legislators prepare and dominate lower social standards.  These ‘left-wing’ agendas are wrong.

It is this ‘left-wing’ representation that has and is leaving our ‘ever-growing’ National Debt approaching $17 Trillion.  At the same time, our Judiciary, our ‘public schools’, and our Liberal elected and appointed bureaucrats are ignoring and/or disobeying our Constitution, US Code, and our States’ General Statutes.  Active elected and appointed Democrats and ‘Democrat look-alikes’ masked as ‘RINO’ Republicans are guiding our declining communities with more unfeeling, senseless, and lawless activity.  Our nation is becoming a ‘nation of individuals’ as our freedoms slide away from a ‘system of laws’.

There is more to being a ‘sincere’ Republican Party candidate than putting an ‘R’ beside any individual’s name.  A ‘genuine’ Republican Party candidate will support at least 80% of our ‘social, fiscal, and National Security’ issues as defined in our Republican Party ‘Platform’.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) must save our Republican Party’s ‘donor dollars’ in providing support for responsible GOP candidates who will support the GOP Platform, and to save our USA.  (Y)our Republican Party ‘Platform’ is a roadmap; lead yourself, or follow others to greatness in America.  Help all ‘devoted’ true Republican Party candidates make it happen!

Friends,

I've been receiving a lot of e-mails lately where the senders are so frustrated and worn down that they talk about giving up.  My response has been, and always will be: HELL NO!  I refuse to give up and refuse to allow our liberties to be taken away.

As I recently told a friend, WE have to become the new "Zealots".  We have to keep the lamp lit, educate others who are either misinformed, ignorant, or so emotionally invested in their politics that they can't see the dangers of tyranny regardless of political party.

Our forefathers understood that for our republic to survive we have to have an educated, well informed electorate.  For the past 100 years, there have been forces insidiously working to re-write history, manipulate our educational curriculum, and effectively dumb down our population.  Couple that with the technology generation that gets their information either in sound bites from the comedy channel or texting and "Twittering", that they know more about the lives of the Kardashian family than they do about our constitution.

To that end, I am sharing some resources that you may find useful.

JPFO has updated a valuable resource document called "Gun Facts".  It is a free PDF download in a couple of different file sizes; one for printing and a smaller file for screen viewing.  I am including both links.  Browse the info and use it to dispel the myths being spread about guns.

Texas is made up of 20 Education Service Centers. 19 of the Texas Education Service Centers (ESC) joined ranks and formed Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative (TESCCC) which owns Cscope. T

For reason's unknown at the time ESC #4 did not buy into the Collaborative.

Below you will find photos and information on the Board of Directors of TESCCC. Though TESCCC owns Cscope many other individuals are behind and supporting it. Texas has 2 RINO State Board of Education members that are in full support of Cscope, Thomas Ratliff and Patricia Hardy.

Cscope is molded after Obama's Common Core Curriculum. Common Core Curriculum is promoted by Education adviser to Obama,Humanist Linda Darling Hammond who is also associated with Communist William (Bill) Ayers. Hammond is a frequent guest speaker at Cscope Conferences. Texas Associtation of School Adminstrators (TASA) is gearing up to attend the American Association of School Adminstrators (AASA) in California in Feb. to hear Linda Darling Hammond speak on the Common Core.

American Exceptionalism will no longer exist in the minds of our children.  Texas has  joined ranks with the leftist agenda in indoctrinating our children with a progressive ideology. Over 70% of Texas public schools, some private and charter have purchased and implemented the progressive curriculum,  Cscope. Cscope is based on Obama's Common Core.  Common Core advocate Linda Darling Hammond is a top education adviser to Obama and is also associated with communist revolutionary Bill Ayers.  Linda Darling Hammond has been a guest speaker at Cscope Conferences and is the quest speaker this February in California for the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) National Conference. Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) is gearing up to attend the National Conference and hear Linda Darling Hammond speak and promote Common Core which, Texas rejected. Their fees and travel plans will be paid for with your tax dollars.

Cscope is owned by Texas Education Service Center's Curriculum Collaborative (TESCCC).  The men and women behind Cscope are the Board of Directors of TESCCC which are the directors of the Texas Education Service Centers excluding ESC 4.

Our children are not being taught about the great men and women who sacrificed their lives for this country nor or they taught that these sacrifices attribute to the FREEDOM we have been so fortunate to enjoy.Instead our children are being indoctrinated  with a pro Islamic, anti christian view. Texas students could benefit greatly from studying the lives of great men such as  Christopher ColumbusGeorge WashingtonAbe Lincoln or better yet the missionary journeys of the Apostle Paul. Unfortunately for our children Cscope writers felt it more important that 6 grade students chronicle Islamic Scholar Ibn Battuta's pilgrimage to Mecca and  Mohammad's tomb in Medina. The fact that Cscope is pushing a pro Islamic view is indisputable.  Time after time their agenda is exposed, and as soon as it is, the Cscope Reps run to pull the exposed material with a flip of a switch (due to it being an online curriculum). Fortunately there are many concerned about this indoctrination of our children that have already captured the original Cscope documents in order to verify Cscope's intentions. Here is another captured portion of a 6 grade lesson indicating Cscope reps true intentions to indoctrinate your children with a pro Islamic view.

Sun-Tzu made the famous observation “lose the battle win the war” yet when translated into fiscal policy it’s not desirable, yet our GOP leadership are going to roll hoping to come back later.  I recently made the move to the Tea Party as I cannot in good faith watch the GOP leadership horse trade with peoples lives. The fiscal cliff will be seen in the coming years as just one of many artificial dramas engineered by leaders on both sides as part of a process. That process is called “real politik” but it simply defends the status quo.

What we need is a dramatic change in direction as a nation; education delivers generations into welfare slavery. We spend like a lotto winner in Vegas and the “Washington Crowd” simply posture while making no radical proposals. We are going broke yet we act like the irresponsible sub-prime borrower.

I am a Venture Capitalist; I invest in innovation and entrepreneurship, the very driving forces which put this great nation at the top of the world. Yet I wonder, do any of our leaders understand it anymore? In the real world you must spend less than you receive and build strategic reserves so you can weather a harsh winter. Under the stewardship of our leaders we have become dependent on the benevolence of other nations.  We are on welfare!

So what's the solution?  Well as hard it will be, we need to cut benefits. We need to loosen the death grip the extremist environmental movement has on our energy pioneers. I could go on yet what we have to do as a matter of urgency is start with a joint understanding that the country cannot continue to borrow, whilst overseeing the destruction of our ability to produce wealth.  If you lose your job, its not a good idea to keep spending on Visa.

News report: New Act of Terror!
A local militia, believed to be a terrorist organization, attacked the
property of private citizens today at our nation’s busiest port. Although
no one was injured in the attack, a large quantity of merchandise,
considered to be valuable to its owners and loathsome to the
perpetrators, was destroyed. The terrorists, dressed in disguise and
apparently intoxicated, were able to escape into the night with the help
of local citizens who harbor these fugitives and conceal their identities
from the authorities. It is believed that the terrorist attack was a
response to the policies enacted by the occupying country’s
government. Even stronger policies are anticipated by the local citizens.

Here is the actual lesson....Terrorism.pdf

Is this not appalling?  Texas Cscope curriculum is referring to the Boston Tea Party as a Terrorist act! I would refer to these men as  Patriots!

Texas School Children need our Help

Dear Patriots,

We have spent the last four years fighting the progressive ideology that has taken over our country. While at the same time our children in Texas are being indoctrinated with the same ideology with the use of a curriculum called Cscope. Over 80% of Texas schools use it. Does yours? Check here. Cscope is based on progressivism and marxist ideology. The curriculum is pro Islamic (lessons attached) and anti Christian. For the most part there are no text books and children do not bring home homework. Parents are not allowed to see the curriculum (if they did they would not understand what they were looking at due to use of their new "educanese" wording. Teachers had to sign a non disclosure statement that they would not disclose the content or say anything negative about it.

The State Board of Education has no say so over curriculum any longer thanks to senate bill 6 passed in the last legislative session. You can find more information on Cscope @ cscsopereview.com.

Please read about my activism in the Willis ISD school district fighting this. HERE & HERE

For the sake of our children and future generations we have to stop this.
