My Conservative Adventure

4063775651?profile=originalLike millions of Americans I was deeply saddened and frustrated that Terry McAuliffe, a dishonorable man propped up by dishonorable people won over Conservative Republican Ken Cuccinelli in the tightly contested race for governor of Virginia.

Talk about birds of a feather, the man who told the biggest lie ever told by a U.S. president to the American people, (if you like your plan and doctor, you can keep them) stumps for McAuliffe.

Then, there are the Democrats, Republicans and mainstream media figuratively placing a “Wanted Politically Dead or Alive” bounty on Ted Cruz for leading the movement to defund the monstrous Obamacare. Yes, I have been in the thick of it for most of this year.

Taking a brief break from my travels trying to get conservatives elected, I flew to Baltimore to visit my 85 year old dad.

A young black man drove the shuttle bus from the airport to the car rental location. Wow, he was awesome. He took his job seriously. Like a general he politely delivered orders which insured everyone’s safety and comfort. He said, “Ladies and gentleman, please bear with me. My job is to get you to your destination safely.” Feeling his commitment, the crowded passengers gave him a hearty round of applause. A lesser person would think, I am only a shuttle bus driver. To this young eagle, his job was obviously his ministry. I tipped him well.

My time with dad was wonderful. He is the pastor of four churches. As he passionately shared a highlight from the sermon he preached that Sunday, I thought, “Thank you God. At 85, dad still has it.” I felt extremely blessed.

A lifelong Democrat, Dad challenged me about the wisdom of “my” Republicans shutting down the government. I told Dad all the facts that he will never hear on his beloved CNN; Obama inflicting unnecessary pain on the American people during the shutdown to make Republicans look bad. To make Republicans look bad, Harry Reid rejected the idea to fund children's cancer research through the government shutdown.

As for the Democrats bogus claim that the poor will suffer and die if we do not continuously raise the debt ceiling, I informed Dad the government wastes 42 billion dollars a year.

Dad mentioned how God is being banned from the public square. He feels political pressure to embrace same sex marriage. He said, “They have come out of the closet and we are being forced into the closet.”

I explained how Obama is fundamentally transforming America into liberal's socialist/progressive dream. His agenda which includes same sex marriage, late term abortion, amnesty for illegals, gun control, addicting as many Americans as possible to government assistance and redistribution of wealth is strongly supported by the Democratic Party, Hollywood and the mainstream media.

All who dare oppose the Administration's agenda are branded haters and publicly humiliated by pundits and the mainstream media. Obama uses government agencies such as the IRS to punish those he perceives to be his enemies.

This lead to dad and I discussing the claim that the Tea Party is racist. I told dad that it was all a despicable infuriating lie. I shared about the terminally ill white woman I met at a Tea Party whose daughter told a staffer that her mom said all she wanted to do was to meet Lloyd Marcus before she died. Dad was stunned.

I shared about the white cowboy and his wife with their two adopted black babies at a Tea Party.

I told dad that I called NAACP, president Ben Jealous a despicable liar during a TV interview for claiming to have seen signs which read, “Lynch Barack Obama” and “Lynch Eric Holder”. If such signs existed, the media would have exploited the images to the max to further their evil irresponsible narrative that the tea party is racist. To date, no one on the planet has seen the two signs other than Ben Jealous.

Obama has been lying, pulling the wool over American's eyes for five years. Dad said something that gave me hope. He said, “The truth always raises.” Obama's approval and trust poll numbers are plummeting.

Back home in Florida, our house sitter was scheduled to pick me up from the airport in my car. My car broke down at the airport. The tow truck driver was a young Hispanic man married with two very young children. He was a low info voter with an attitude reflective of Obama's view of America.

He expressed bitterness against the rich and even said his skin-color was keeping him from succeeding.

My insurance covered the cost of the tow. Still, I gave him a generous tip which opened the door for me to bless this misguided young man with a brief lecture. “Look, forget that skin-color crap. Just pursue your dreams.” He nodded and said, yes, he would.

All my car needed was a new battery. The opportunity to positively impact the life of that young father (tow truck driver) was worth the inconvenience; a rewarding end to my conservative adventure, visiting Dad in Maryland and home to Florida.

4063773612?profile=originalShould Chris Christie’s New Jersey Landslide Win Matter To Tea Party In 2014?  – photo credit: Luigi Novi

You can literally see the frothing at the mouths of RINO media pundits and key establishment Republicans over the trouncing by New Jersey Chris Christie Governor of his Democrat sacrificial lamb opponent. Even though there was never any real serious doubt that Christie would win against a middling gubernatorial candidate like state Sen. Barbara Buono. According to the Christian Science Monitor and other news organizations, Christie had already been conceded the election win when major democrat donors ignored supporting their own candidate.

Now according to his frequent moderate and liberal supporters who want Christie to be the anointed one to take on a possible Hillary Clinton presidential candidacy, the trash talking against the Tea Party has already begun. The real question is why it should matter to conservatives if Christie lost or won, when the battle for the American heartland is going to be fought in 2014 and not in 2016.

The often terrified moderates in the GOP establishment sought cover under the umbrella of Christie’s middle of the road protection. The New York Times suggested that many Republicans were terrified by the Tea Party and their overwhelming grassroots supporters. Now these same GOP officials “were cheered by Mr. Christie’s success.”

Just look at the political landscape that this self proclaimed political buddy and pal of Obama created. It was Governor Christie who came to the aid of Obama’s faltering presidential re-election woes after being lambasted by Mitt Romney in the first round of the presidential debates. Obama, who appeared visibly bewildered and befuddled as he tried time and time again to attack Romney during the debate, was swept aside like a rag doll by the republican challenger.

Then came the horror and tragedy of Hurricane Sandy which ripped through the Eastern shores of New York and New Jersey. Obama, who was being held accountable by Fox News and other conservative talkers over Benghazi, needed a safe haven to lick his well earned political wounds and soon found comfort and aid in the huge welcoming arms of Chris Christie. The New Jersey governor not only gave Obama a life line as he walked and skipped along the New Jersey damaged shoreline, but he all but said the president was his new best friend.

So it is in this context, that somehow a Republi-crat governor from a purple state who has managed to willingly, hold hands with democrat leaders and concede on conservative values and principles to be taken seriously as a Republican nominee for president. Well, the moderates in the party and on the alphabet soup networks are beginning to anoint Christie while also spelling the death knell of the Tea Party.

What this premature coronation seems to forget is that while Christie was doing the easy winner’s lap around the state of New Jersey, the real story of the life and vibrancy of the Tea Party and the failure of Obama and his health care poison pill was being played out in Virginia that same night.

4063768005?profile=originalHello! GOP! Anybody home? In case you guys in DC do not know, there's a gubernatorial race happening in Virginia in a week. While our guy Conservative Republican Ken Cuccinelli is amazingly holding his own, in terms of campaign spending, the Democrats are kicking our butts.

Meanwhile, We the People, grassroots across America are passionately engaged and have made the race tightly competitive. Remarkably, polls show the Virginia race down to 1%. Turnout will be the deciding factor.

For those of you unaware, I am Chairman of Conservative Campaign Committee. Showing my age, do you remember the TV show, “Have Gun Will Travel” starring Richard Boone as Paladin? Think of me as a Paladin armed with the Constitution, traveling the country delivering political justice.

We get involved in key races which have national repercussions. Our goal is to restore America back to the vision of our founding fathers; individual liberty and freedom. Our game plan is quite simple, elect as many Conservatives as possible.

Battered, scared and outspent in the Lonegan race, we have licked our wounds and dived head first into helping conservative Republican Ken Cuccinelli defeat the hardcore liberal Democrat candidate for the governorship of Virginia.

Here is what our independent expenditure campaign is doing in support of Cuccinelli. We are heavy on newscasts but also have bought NBC's Sunday Night Football, the World Series, FOX & CBS NFL Football, College Football, and the Sunday national political news shows (Face the Nation, Meet the Press, This Week, and Fox News Sunday). As you can imagine, these media buys are expensive. Such is the political arena in which we are forced to fight.

With the Virginia gubernatorial election only a week away, Democrats are staying true to their play book. Our Liar and Chief will campaign with the Democrat candidate this weekend and New York Mayor Bloomberg has funded a nearly $2 million ad blitz smearing our conservative candidate, Cuccinelli.

FYI folks, Ken Cuccinelli was the first Attorney General in the country to sue the federal government over Obamacare. A firm believer in individual freedom and limited government, Cuccinelli thinks Obamacare violates both principles. Do you see why we need this guy to win folks?

I am extremely excited and proud of the the work our team at Conservative Campaign Committee is doing. Preparing for the home stretch, our Ms Lulu is fired up as well as her call-from-home volunteers. Please check out the latest TV ads we have produced supporting Cuccinelli.

With little help from the GOP, it is up to us, We The People.

Well folks, how does it feel to be called stupid, crazy, extremist, racist and terrorist for standing firm for values and principles which most Americans have held and continue to hold dear? Such are the rantings coming from liberal media and Washington elites about the Tea Party.

Word on the political street is GOP polling has tanked because they foolishly listened to the wacko Tea Party lead by toxic idiots Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Sarah Palin.

So to win an approving pat on the head from DC elites and the liberal media, conservative politicians and the Tea Party must offer their unconditional surrender to Obama's socialist/progressive fundamental transformation of America agenda. And for good measure, the Tea Party must abandon their friends Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Sarah Palin; burning them in effigy.

Regrettably, too many politicians on our side have drank the kool-aid, abandoning Conservatism in hope of winning a little love from liberals.

4063766278?profile=originalThis is why Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli's rock-solid conservative platform is extremely courageous.

Readers of my articles are well aware of how much I believe character matters when electing leaders. Awarding great power to someone who lacks a conscience is insane. Had the liberal media paid more attention to Obama's character rather than insisting that his skin-color exempts him from the standard vetting process, America would not be in a mess which threatens the vision of our founding fathers.

For those of you who still think character does not matter, check out this list of ways Obama tried to inflict unnecessary pain on the American people; using them as mere pawns, acceptable collateral damage in his vendetta to destroy his Nemesis the Republicans and the Tea Party.

Despite all the bad press, and the Administration along with their liberal media cheering section all pounding on their chests in victory like King Kong, the Cruz, Lee and Palin revolt against Obamacare reignited the Tea Party. Patriots are fired up!

Electing Ken Cuccinelli governor of Virginia will be another desperately needed fighter on the front-lines to stop Obamacare.

Fighting Obamacare from the beginning, Cuccinelli was the FIRST Attorney General in the nation to file a lawsuit to have ObamaCare ruled unconstitutional by the courts.

Cuccinelli's stellar political record speaks for itself. Here are a few little known facts which further illustrate the character of the man.

Thomas Haynesworth is a wrongfully accused black man who spent 27 years in jail for 3 rapes. New DNA testing technology proved Hayesworth innocent of one of the rapes and revealed the guilt of a look-a-like. No DNA was available from the other two rapes. Upon reviewing the evidence, Cuccinelli believed Haynesworth was innocent and went to bat for him which won Governor McDonnell's support for Haynesworth's parole. However, Haynesworth would still be branded as a registered sex offender and have to report to a parole officer.

Such injustice was unacceptable to Cuccinelli. Again, he went to bat for Haynesworth by going to the VA Court of Appeals and argued Haynesworth’s innocence. The Court of Appeals found Haynesworth innocent of the two crimes, despite the lack of DNA evidence.

But wait, but wait, how could this tale of compassion and determination to seek justice for an innocent black man be true? Haven't we been told that all white conservative Republicans are secretly members of the KKK?

With the Virginia election for governor less than two weeks away, the Democrats continue to spend millions spreading lies about Cuccinelli. One such lie claims Cuccinelli is anti-woman. The truth is the polar opposite. Cuccinelli opposes the numerous infringements on our constitutional freedoms built in Obamacare which includes forcing taxpayers to fund abortions; government mandated betrayal of citizens religious convictions. Liberals have despicably spun his opposition to Obamacare to mean he hates women.

The truth is, Ken Cuccinelli has a proven track record of heroic advocacy for women. While in college at UVA, Cuccinelli was moved by a sexual assault on a female fellow student. He and a few others started a sexual assault awareness program; The Sexual Assault Fact and Education (SAFE) group.

Sex trafficking of young girls is growing rapidly in Virginia and throughout America. As Attorney General, Cuccinelli started from the ground up to make the VA AG’s office the center hub of efforts, working with law enforcement agencies across VA to crack down on sex trafficking.

So here we go again folks, a real stand up guy fighting for the rights of We The People being trashed by the Democrats and their media buddies; attempting to Cruz, Lee and Palin him as yet another Conservative nut case.

Please do not allow them to get away with it. This time, let's make sure the good guy wins.

Ken Cuccinelli for governor Virginia.
