I Stand Beside Brother Rush!

4063467300?profile=originalShowing himself to be a class act, Rush Limbaugh apologized to Ms Fluke. Rush further explained that his apology was not the result of losing sponsors. Rush said he turns down millions of dollars in sponsors each years. Rush said he apologized because he realized he had taken his sarcasm, to prove a point, a bit too far.

Folks, when I was a little boy, I said I wanted to grow up to be a man. What was my image of a man? My dad and Sheriff Andy Taylor of Mayberry. Both men seemed to always try to do the right thing regardless of the consequences or people's opinions.

It frustrates me that whenever a conservative says the wrong thing or makes a mistake, conservatives run for the tall grass to distance themselves from our colleague caught in the media's crosshairs.

Well, I “ain't” doing that! Unapologetic, I love brother Rush!

I am not going to waste your time, stating the obvious about the media's hypocrisy regarding defending women. We all know they never defend conservative women, when viciously attacked.

I thought, “Oh my gosh, what if the left finally succeeded in getting the FCC to kick Rush off of the air? What would we do?” But then a truth I have learned over the years, gave me peace. As much as I appreciate Rush's efforts and extremely powerful influence in our tea party movement, no man is our source. God is our source.

Sadly, we lost brother Andrew. King Obama has decreed, bring me the head of Rush Limbaugh. Obama and his mainstream media machine's evil efforts will fail. Cause last time I checked, God is still in control. Hang in there patriots, we're gonna win!

  • Gail i think "Thou protests too much" I'm starting to have serious doubts about your standing and your intent! Obama keeps finding so-called slights in everything said by conservatives, get a grip !

  • ...ooops...I missed something...to the person who said my "niece" needs to get with the program....excuse me? She is serving her country, she is an American, she is a Republican...and I think she is damn well "with the program". And, she is my literal niece, not my "niece".  We can certainly discuss things w/o comments like this. I don't appreciate it one bit. This is the very thing  I am talking about.  Sorry to start up again, but I just saw this and I think it was wrong of you to say.

  • Did you guys watch PM Netanyahu tonight?  I was looking for a blog to follow his talk  on here but didn't see one. Maybe I missed it?  Anyway, it was so GOOOOOOD.   All of Obamahole's speeches together do  not hold a tiny candle to the one PM gave tonight.

  • David,  LOL!  And yes, we should have had some "government" lube for the screwing Obamahole gave us and continues to give us.  Barbara, that was some good research,  I found some of it, but not all. She is most definitely a plant and well planted. It's got people talking and dividing.  That was the intent.

We just keep biting the bait.  And, men, when I said "where did the men run to?"  ...in the words of my candidate, Herman Cain,..."it was a  joke."

Men don't understand this topic like women do...it is personal to us!  Much like the decisions women opt to make.   Men are not running, they are ceding ground to those with more experience in this particular area.

  • Sandra Fluke is being sold by the left as something she's not. Namely a random co-ed from Georgetown law who found herself mixed up in the latest front of the culture war who was simply looking to make sure needy women had access to birth control. That, of course, is not the case.

As many have already uncovered Sandra Fluke she is, in reality, a 30 year old long time liberal activist who enrolled at Georgetown with the express purpose of fighting for the school to pay for students' birth control. She has been pushing for mandated coverage of contraceptives at Georgetown for at least three years according to the Washington Post.

However, as I discovered today, birth control is not all that Ms. Fluke believes private health insurance must cover. She also, apparently, believes that it is discrimination deserving of legal action if "gender reassignment" surgeries are not covered by employer provided health insurance. She makes these views clear in an article she co-edited with Karen Hu in the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law.

The title of the article, which can be purchased in full here, is Employment Discrimination Against LGBTQ Persons and was published in the Journal's 2011 Annual Review. I have posted a transcript of the section I will be quoting from here. In a subsection of the article entitled "Employment Discrimination in Provision of Employment Benefits" starting on page 635 of the review Sandra Fluke and her co-editor describe two forms of discrimination in benefits they believe LGBTQ individuals face in the work place:

"Discrimination typically takes two forms: first, direct discrimination

  • ...BTW...where did all those men run to?!!!  LOL!  Did we scare them off?  Night, all. Sleep well.

  • Monika, thank you for your service. I meant no insult to you. I guess I am just trying to say that the payment of the pills by insurance paid by the govt does not make a person a slut. My niece, Nicole, initiated this conversation with me tonight and your comments came my way on my email, so I thought I would try to clarify and pass it along to her.

There is nothing "liberal" about decency and I wouldn't think I would have to point that out to conservatives.

You will never agree that it was wrong to call her (or anyone) that and I will never agree it was appropriate. So, I'll call it a night on  this and  pass the  comments along to Nicole for her consideration. She says she and the "girls" are discussing this tonight and messaging with their families back home to see what is being said here.  Proud of that young woman for serving her country and defending our right to call people names if we want to.

And Monika, coming from a  long line of military family, I salute you and thank you as well.

Good night, everyone, and God Bless.
