American ingenuity, as always, is coming to the rescue. An idea is born that is sweeping the nation. It is called Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). A CSA is a business model through which non-farmers purchase a share or half-share of a real farmers harvest sometimes even before the crops are planted. The farmers like the plan because it assures them a market for there produce at an agreed price. CSA’s keep food dollars and productive farms in the community where they stimulate the local economy.
