An idea to unite the right and stop the enemy.

OK, everyone who hates obama, and I'm convinced that's around 75% of the population, wants him out but the so-called republicans are divided, right? Some like me think a third party is the way to go, others want to stick with what I call the Titanic of politics, the GOP.

Someone tell me why this wouldn't work to bring the conservative thinking people together:

The establishment republicans run their candidate as usual. The New Tea Party, or something like it runs a truly conservative candidate, ala Col. Allen West, or Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, or Dr. Ben Carson the neurosurgeon.

Here's the catch. *The stated policy of the conservative party is that they will run as hard as they can to win over America. All true conservatives like me will be able to vote for someone who hasn't been selected by the likes of Boehner and Rove. The GOP can run their typical unelectable candidate, Dole, McCain, Romney. Two weeks before the election if the conservative party isn't in contention based on a mutually agreed upon polling service, they pledge to swing their votes over to the Republicans and withdraw their candidate! That way, no votes end up going to supporting the likes of this hunk of garbage we have in there now and all of us can unite behind one candidate while still voting our conscience.

Now, if that sounds too unreasonable, or if you can't get on board with that, we are truly doomed because right now the left is rolling over us and the Constitution like a bull dozer.

We need something bold. Why not this? If you agree that it's worth a try, please spread it around. I'm so sick of liberalism and it's tentacles, not to mention islam while I'm at it. Liberalism is at the heart of the vast majority of our decline!

  •     I say we go with a conservative third party , ( the TEA Party ) , and let the chips fall where they may , the ignorance and stupidity that defines the current population deserve what they get , especially if either one of them win. Advance with the great awakening of the sheeple .

  • That's great Joe. First we have to be able to show them that no matter what, their vote won't be wasted.  Otherwise, most won't even consider a third party. No?

  • Please lets quit talking and walk the walk, we need to recruit the young folks and setup booths in publice areas and ask to join in. Show slide shows about Tea Party movements. Have a donation box, therefore each area can pay its on expenses. Have an application to sign. Millions would love to help the tea Parties to success and participate. I have a very low cost example for booths. Just send your snail mail address and I will glad to send at no charge a layout and posters to impeach the village idiot. My address is Joe Marshall, 3807 Brandon Ave. Suite 114, Roanoke, Va. 24018 (540) 725-1190 and a 2 X 4 for liberals. I would never waste ammo on a liberal when a whupping would be more fun.

  • Good points Gerald.  But the ground work and understanding for a new approach to a third party has to be disseminated far and wide for it to work.  People have to understand that this isn't the typical 3rd party situation where their vote ends up going to the enemy!  I don't know…I haven't heard a down side yet!!

  • Michael's idea makes perfect sense. In the good old politically incorrect world of the patriot, a little well-defined stiff competition within the Republican Party would be good for its soul. When push comes to shove as the election draws nearer, we'll see who's raising the money (gotta hold those purse strings too) because of candidate superiority will rise to the top. The Golden Rule in action.

  • Right with you there Bobby.  The ONLY way a third party stands a chance is if everyone is assured that their vote won't got to waste. That's what makes my idea novel.  We need to change our approach or we're doomed.  I got burned with Ross Perot so I understand the downside, but if someone had assured me that worst case, if Ross Perot wasn't viable as the election approached, my vote would go to the Republican, it would have been a simple decision.  Got to go out for a while.  I'll be back.  Thanks

  • Karl Marx Rove and the other GOP elite have sworn to rid the party of conservatives, constitutionalists, and Tea Party Candidates.  IMO that makes the party the antithesis of what we need to rally around.  People will find it very difficult to rally around and support the party that is a declared enemy.  That is why I see a new party as essential.  Personally, I find the GOP to be repugnant and vote against it every time I can.  However, if they buckled and nominated a constitutionalist, I might be inclined to hold my nose and vote for him/her.

I know MANY people who feel the same way.  I know almost as many who are so disgusted with the existing parties that they refuse to vote at all.  I'm not sure the treasonous GOP can ever get those people back.  Again, that is why I'm looking at another party.  Unfortunately, the Libertarian Party has come across as too wacky and the Constitution Party is more interested in destroying itself than in electing anyone.

  • are = our

  • Yea Bobby,

We think very similarly.  To be honest I think Ron Paul is an absolute disaster but I'm ready to hold my nose, allow the folks who like him to join us, treat everyone with respect, all of us take the pledge to support the Republican if OUR CONSERVATIVE  CANDIDATE isn't viable and then have a vigorous campaign on the right as to who are Tea Party Candidate is to be.  I believe millions will join in once the notion of "wasting their vote" has been eliminated.  I don't for a minute believe there will be enough votes for Paul to be that representative, but if we keep demeaning those that differ with us we're going to continue into the vast abyss this treasonous slug has taken us.  Of course you know the definition of insanity…and that's exactly what we're doing…over and over and over.

  • I'm with you Lonnie but first we have to cure the division on our own side of things.  Liberals are running away with the country while we argue about how the right is to be represented.  FIRST, we have to unite.  That strategy is old as the hills and very fundamental. It's so obvious to me.
