  Thanks Top, good to have a peer on my list. Things today are much different than we were, I retired in '89 and my Army don't exist anymore and it's not getting better.  Thanks for friending me and I am honored to be your friend.

  I was drafted spent 2 years in Alaska when It became a state while I was there. I am seriously thinking about disappearing as far as this Government is concerned. The VA sent notice that the IRS will be deciding when or if I am to get VA benefits. Sound great don't it. I do enjoy your posts.

  It's an  honor.  When I made E-8 as a 96B, it was at the 10 year mark in my career. In the promotion review board at DA, I was the only college graduate of the 195 E-7 candidates, plus I had a O-6 CO that looked after my career. It was the first time our  USAR MI unit had an E-8 NCOIC since the Korean War.
