The New York state flag features the state's coat of arms on a field of deep blue.
The center shield displays a masted ship and a sloop on the Hudson River river (symbols of inland and foreign commerce), bordered by a grassy shore and a mountain range in the background with the sun rising behind it. A banner below shows New York's state motto ("Excelsior," Latin for "ever upward").
Liberty and Justice support the shield and an American bald eagle spreads its wings above on a world globe. Liberty's left foot treads on a crown (a symbol of freedom from the Kingdom of Great Britain). Justice is blindfolded and holds a sword in one hand and a scale in the other, symbolizing impartiality and fairness.

Massachusetts is in trouble after adopting a similar plan, within a few years. The bill doesn't reduce "costs" and will probably increase the price of health care as demand is subsidized under the bill. Increasing competition is a farce because they still can't compete over state lines, everyone already has the internet (the real "state imposed market) and reduced costs through pooling risk are undermined by allowing sick individuals.
If the state uses its power to set prices, in a desperate attempt to control costs to individuals, you will have rationed health care. If you set prices below what would be dictate in a market, you will lower the amount and quality of the product.
it's actually easy to determine who understands the bill and who buys into talking points: Any 'liberal' or 'progressive' who says the bill is good or necessary - like anyone who defended it , reiterates talking points and has very little understanding or original insight. The joke is that democrats rejected these same proposals years ago and most intelligent democrats STILL oppose it. If they like it at all, it is solely because they think they will have a better chance in the future at full overhaul and the offering of a public plan. ...
Castro applauded Obama's victory...Heaven help us
***I would love to join you on April 15th but I have to work. Is there anything planned for the 4th of July in DC? That would be awesome to be in OUR nation's capital celebrating the birth of our nation
Best Regards

I know I kive in Onondaga County and there are many who feel this way but they are not organized. A few showed up to picket Congressman Maffei probably because no one knew of the rally.
Attorney General Cuomo has sued everyone this year. He should be filing a lawsuit and join the States Attorney Generals to protect the citizens of NY from the unconstitutional mandates of this ridiculous takeover of health care of forcing us to buy health care.
The democrats have exempted Congress, the President and staff from the bill..shocking that it's good enough for us but not them

Is there anyone in the current Congress that would support this?
It's a great idea. Any updates?
